This is the first book in the Guardian Protection Specialists, which is a spin off of the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists by Ellie Masters. This book was seriously one of the best books I have ever read! I was on the edge of my seat reading as fast as possible to see what happens next. It has everything. Danger, romance, suspense, drama, and so much more! Sybil Niles has been kidnapped and she has no idea why. All she knows is she is in serious trouble. Snatched from work, she is transported to a ship and tied up in the dark. Enter the Guardian Protection Specialists. They have a rescue to pull off and they don't have a minute to lose. Brett is determined to protect Sybil no matter what. They are on the run from people who want Sybil dead. Brett's going to do whatever it takes to make sure that doesn't happen. He imposes radio silence and Sybil hates it. She has never met a rule she won't break. To her, they're suggestions. Tension and attraction sparks between them. They have a great many obstacles to overcome to get the HEA they deserve. Get this book ASAP and find out what happens. I promise you won't regret it. Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

By chapter two, this author had managed to make my head spin, laugh out loud, go Uhumm?, and roll with laughter at Mitzy's snappy comeback!
I have read MANY of Susan Stoker's books and I was well acquainted with the characters that Author Ellie Masters wove seamlessly, into her story of "Sybil's Protector"! The Susan Stoker characters felt like they just belonged! I also loved the reference to, with "e", without "e"! This story is action packed from start to finish. From the way that Brett and Sybil met to the ensuing events! With each occurrence along the way, the feelings between Brett and Sybil waiver from hate and annoyance to trust, comfort and affections. I loved the characters, they were well thought out! I was totally fascinated with all the high tech gear, electronics and weaponry. I for one have GREATLY enjoyed this contribution to Susan Stoker's SPECIAL FORCES OPERATION ALPHA world and I sure do look forward to more of the Guardian Protectors Personal Protection Specialists series!

This book has plenty of action, intrigue, suspense and heat. For someone who has been rescued and after what she went through, you'd think she could abide by the rules set for safety. But when she makes a call after snatching Brett's phone, it blew that out of the water. They are constantly on the move to keep her alive. She's worried about her parents and the chemo therapy her father is going thru. Brett is trying to keep his hands to himself but it's really hard. He doesn't know whether to love her or strangle her. Hang onto your seats for a wild ride. HEA, but not the end.

Sybil's Protector is the first in the Personal Protection Specialists series. While the Protectors are part of the Guardians their role is different than the HRS team. Where the HRS focuses on rescue the Protectors are just that, personal protectors. Think highly trained, former special ops, body guards for situations where the threat is so great it requires a special skillset.
In this story Forrest, Mitzy and the rest of HRS are closing in on the human trafficking leader and have just rescued 6 women. Three from a hotel and three from a ship destined for Mexico and beyond. Sybil was on the ship and while they work to keep her from being taken again, she is assigned to Brett, a newly hired Personal Protection Specialist. Brett is a SEAL and his role would not normally see him in action with the other HRS teams, for this rescue there is a need and he is happy to help. Brett is the one who found Sybil on the ship and the two share an immediate connection.
Sybil sees herself as a normal boring woman but in actuality her family is very wealthy, her Hawaiian/ Scandinavian heritage makes her very beautiful and her best friend is a daughter in the Rossi crime family. In fact when taken Sybil was working at a Rossi hotel property learning skills that she intended to take with her when she took over her own family's resort in Hawaii.
Brett's job, once she is rescued is to hide and protect her while Mitzy and the team focus on the overall human trafficking operation and shutting it down. Sybil's job is to listen to Brett and she fails at that by making a phone call that alerts her kidnappers to their location. What should have been a leisurely cross country drive, laying low and staying off the grid turns into action that is off the charts!
While on the run Brett tries to get a better understanding of Sybil, who she is and who might want her taken. As they get closer to the truth, the two also get closer, unable to deny the chemistry that has lingered from when Brett rescued her from the boat.

Nicely spun out of the mid/end of rescuing Jinx, this story falls back slightly in time but from a different perspective.
Well integrated we see the Guardian HRS from an alternative angle as well as the setting up of the protector division.
If I’m honest, you probably could read this as a stand alone at a push but you’d most definitely get more out of it if you read the Guardian series (protecting…) at a minimum first, though be prepared to fall down a rabbit hole of hearts insanity also with that one!!
I liked Brett and loved his confident, cocky demeanour and how he really believed in what he was doing, as well as how fast and far he fell for Sybil.
Sybil I liked and felt she was portrayed as a strong woman but (SPOILER ALERT)

It drove me mad how often she broke the rules, I really wanted her to wise up and realise why they were there instead of acting like a child..only when Brett was shot did she change and then right at the end, again!!! I suspect the consequences of that decision will be coming back to bite!!!
The one other thing I would say is that though Brett and Sybil do come to a romantic conclusion, the underlying story does not in the slightest and also ends on something of a cliff hanger
In terms of the operation alpha across over, this feels very much like a step back in time to where the characters are usually portrayed now with Wolfs team still operating and Tex not having kids. Still a delightful journey into that world though
An enjoyable story but feels unfinished so eagerly awaiting either Rescuing Maria to take this forwards or the next in this series (Sawyer??)

This is book one in The Personal Protection Specialists Series and it is Brett and Sybil's and omg what an amazing start to a new series and it is definitely a must read. Sybil works at the believers hotel with her best friend Maria but on the way to an appointment she is kidnapped. Brett was a navy seal but now he is a hostage rescue specialist and now six woman have been taken and it is up to the guardians to rescue them and Brett is assigned to protect Sybil after she is rescued so they have to get her away to keep her safe so that they can find the information they need on who requested her kidnapping and why but with the chemistry between Brett and Sybil being so strong and intense things are definitely getting hot between them but Brett needs to keep up his guard so that he can protect her but Sybil is trying to push all Brett's buttons and breaking protocol so much that she is putting them in dangerous situation. Danger is all around them but will they be able to find out all the information in time and can Brett keep Sybil safe and alive long enough for them to get to safety only time will tell what the outcome will be. Ellie Masters is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and on the edge of their seats while reading her books and he books are so full of action and definitely addictive. I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

Ellie Masters strikes again !! Her books are seriously addictive and Sybils protector, the first book in her new series is just as addictive as her other books. It has just about everything you could wish for in an action packed, scorching hot, explosive start to a series.
Sybils protector picks up from the end of Rescuing Jinx. Sybil was kidnapped, to be sold by a human trafficking ring. The Guardians rescued her but the men who took her are determined to hunt her down. Brett, an ex navy Seal is assigned to protect her. The Guardian protectors are a new division of the Guardian Hostage Rescue specialists. They are just as panty melting hot and will risk thier own lives to keep their charges safe.
Sybil comes across intially as very naive and her actions cement this in your mind. But falling for her protector could be her undoing. Brett knows that getting involved with his charge is dangerous, but the chemistry between these two is like a volcano, just waiting to erupt. As those who seek to kill Sybil attempt to track them down you are drawn into the mystery that surrounds Sybil and why Sybil is in their cross hairs. There is clearly a lot more to this series than we have in Sybils Protector and I just cannot wait to see this series unfold.

The reason Sybil is taken is a pervasive theme in this book, and there are occasional hints and flashes of what it might be, but it’s not till the end that it becomes obvious, both to Sybil and the reader – and that’s the kind of suspense I love. Brett is the first of the new Protectors from Guardian HRS, and this book is like a smorgasbord of old friends. It’s set in Susan Stoker’s Special Forces: Operation Alpha world, so we have Wolf and his team, plus Caroline, Tex, Melody, and Baby. But it’s also a Guardian book, so some of those teams appear, as well as Forest, Skye, Paul, Sara, and Mitzi – it’s like a reunion with people you’ve missed. Sybil herself is at times hard to like, and in some ways, so is Brett, but their relationship just ... works – for them and the reader! Completely looking forward to finding out who the mastermind is – that story is running concurrently with this, and it’s beyond intriguing. This is another Ellie Masters masterpiece.

Sybil's Protector delivered another high energy, fast paced, tense and dangerous mission from our favourite Guardians alongside the newly introduced Protectors to their team. As always there's an emotional love story full of passion and scorching chemistry that'll make your toes curl.
I really liked the mystery surrounding Sybil. The fact someone wanted her dead because she knew something was terrifying and very intriguing.
Brett is a Protector, a former Navy Seal tasked with keeping Sybil safe.
His mission doesn't go as smoothly as he'd like as his own Rules go out the window when it comes to Sybil.
I instantly loved Brett, he's a great addition to the team and I'm looking forward to more from him.
I enjoyed every minute of Brett and Sybil's action packed adventure, it was intense, exhilarating and dangerous with lots of sizzling heat and witty humour.
I'm already eager for more from The Protector series as we'll hopefully get more Sybil and Brett, The Guardians and my biggest love, Forest. The man who started it all. ❤

This is the first book in a new series bei Ellie Masters but it is continuation and deeply connected with her Guardian novels. While it can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone, you really should read the Guadians novels first - both for background info as well as for the re-connect with all the characters! I have not read books from Susan Stoker's world, so that meant the characters were all new to me, but they certainly fit seemlessly into the story and made me curious.
Brett's and Sybil's story is a gripping suspense. There are lots of high-end tech gadgets, discriptions of creepy critters that will make your skin crawl and nerve-wrecking, heart-pounding challenges. But there is also friendship, camaraderie and respect between the team members as well as deep love between the established couples. Last, but certainly not least, there is a lot of heat and steam between Sybil and Brett, which lead to high tension and some dangerous mistakes. The end of the book comes fairly abruptly, with their love admitted, a relationship established, but with the danger to Sybil's life far from over. So I hope that the next book comes out soon!

So good!! Sybil is abducted and when she is saved, she is assigned a Protector called Brett who goes on the run with her.
The intensity and drama took over in this book. What I really enjoyed was the research that went into this. It really showed and I respect that. Even though it may be technical, it didn't read as such.
The electricity between Sybil and Brett was just giant. They fought it, holding off any physical contact as long as they could which only added to the story.
I loved the addition of Susan Stoker's book characters who came and saved them at one stage, and Tex and Melody, plus Rufus. Loved Rufus!!
Such a fantastic book, and one I'll rave about for a little while going forward. I can not wait for the next one. I want to know what happens next!!!

Wow! If you thought that the Guardians were hot, you haven’t read the first book to The Protectors yet. Brent and Sybil light up the pages as the stories contained within the Guardians series continue with their own twist. While each of these books can be read alone if you read the Guardians along with this new series you won’t be disappointed. They are all in the same world and just give that much more depth to the entire story. That being said, even if you don’t want to invest that much time, you will love Brett and Sybil’s story as they fight against their attraction because fighting for your life might take precedence. Right? No one said that you couldn’t fall in love along the way.

Sybil's Protector is the first book in the spinoff of the Guardian HRS series by Ellie Masters. If this book is any indication, the Personal Protection Specialists series will be a wild ride. It was exciting and hold your breath exhilarating with loads of fast paced action. There's so much intensity both with the intrigue, the action and with the sizzling chemistry between Sybil and Brett that you won't want to put the book down. I know I didn't until I read the last page. Ms. Masters wastes no time putting you front and center in the suspense and going full throttle. It does not abate until the final two chapters. Crazy Good!

I like this idea a lot as there are many ways the characters can interact and get to know one another. And we were blessed not only to see some of the Guardian characters, but some favorites from Susan Stoker's Protectors series. I was a bit annoyed at Sybil's attitude during her protection, but once there were bad consequences she seemed to wise up. I especially liked the development of these two characters. Very satisfying HEA, although a somewhat abrupt ending. I'm looking forward to more.

This new spin off series will be just as hot at the Guardian series. New hire Brett has his first task, he's rescued Sybil from a cruise ship and now he has to drive around the States to avoid the men that are still after her, not staying longer than one or two nights in one spot. Sybil bristles at the rules, and she puts them in jeopardy. Lots of tension, lots of action, lots of suspense, lots of nail biting scenes to read through. "Entranced, too hot to handle, save my girl, Ranger, belaying, stronger and braver". Loved all these words throughout the book. Really loved the road trip to the east coast and all their helpers along the way. Highly recommend this read.

This is the first book in the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists: Personal Protection Specialists series. Brett was hired to be a protector, but he was unable to get to Sybil before she was taken. They rescue her before she is taken away and it is decided that she needs to have constant protection. This is where Brett steps in. He is responsible for keeping her safe while they work to find out who wants her dead. There is a lot of action and Sybil nd Brett fall in love. There is a HEA, but the journey there is a great trip. I highly recommend this book!

I have not read the previous books, but I was able to dive right into this one. Rules, gotta live with them, or not. Love all the action, intrigue, and love this story had. I love the start of a new series, always means there is more to come.

This is a Guardian Protector love story for Sybil and former Navy SEAL Brett. WOW is all I can say about this action packed adventure with danger and mystery all around them. I can not wait till they invent the robot dog too. I laughed at the dog when he comes back and freaks out Sybil.

Sybil’s Protector: Sybil and Brett story is amazing, you feel the tension, the danger as they are in and trying to stick to the rules that Sybil seems to break anyway. It’s so hard not to spoil this for you, let’s just say this was a hot, exciting, enthralling read! You must read this one!!

The marvelous Ms. Masters is on fire with this thrilling, suspenseful story! Her ability to weave such an intensly entertaining story about Brent & Sybil, is second to none! The storyline was unique and intriguing; there were some really great twists and turns. These characters were perfect for each other! Their explosive chemistry sizzled and sparked right off the pages! This was a spectacular story with a perfect ending! Absolute must read!

This first book in the Guardian Protector series is just as good as the Guardian Hostage rescue series it spun off of. I also love when some of my favorite Susan Stoker characters show up. The story is full of action from the beginning to the end. You’ll get a HEA but not a conclusion as it continues in the next book.

Sybil's Protector by Ellie Masters. Sybil and Brett bring tons of angsty drama, undeniable chemistry, easy banter, and slow burn passion to their story. Both are strong characters dealing with conflicts and struggles all while trying to live another day. I would recommend this book and author to others. This book was great from the first to the last. The characters took you along with them in their travels. Brett and Sybil are perfect together. Neither are perfect but they work. I loved RUFUS! Read this one, you won’t regret it.

Okay is anyone else excited about the robot dog. Now to the story, Ellie has done a fantastic job with the Navy Seal series. Brett and Sybil are magnetic steam. The storyline was engaging. Loved it
