This is the final book in the series, and I have been anticipating it since I read the first book and the h was introduced. Evie is the niece of the Spy Master for the Crown, but she was orphaned at a young age and fled to the streets of London. Her uncle searched for her and found her after several years, and she has been grateful since, but after scraping for survival and learning how to fade into the background to avoid being detected as a female, Evie has mastered the ability to take on personas and remain hidden while collecting vital facts and information. Though she has continually proven her worth as an equal to her uncle and cousins, she is still treated like the lady she technically is but long ago lost the desire to ever be.
In the previous books in the series, we are teased about Evie having met Captain Anthony Browne under ruinous circumstances, to say the least, and in book 4.5, (Spy Season), we are given that back story. I would highly recommend reading that novella before reading this book. In truth, I would recommend reading the whole series in order to get the full experience, but I would say that the novella is the most important before diving into this one.
The story starts off hot and fast, and things continue to move quickly throughout. My only complaint about this one (and really this series) is that the "who done it" was completely obvious from the start. I was waiting for there to be a twist or turn that would bring it all together and blow my mind, but it didn't happen, so that was a bit of a let down. Otherwise, this was a very enjoyable series with some mild elements of BDSM and a lot of steam!

WOW! Evie and Anthony are 🔥🥵🔥! I haven’t enjoyed a regency series EVER as much as I enjoyed this one! I am floored. I am sold! I have found my path and don’t intend to ever turn back.
Evie and Anthony are my favorite couple in this series and I hope we get to see more of them in the future with short stories and/or novella’s. Either way though, this book is my newest go-to comfort read! The heat in this book will melt you, the story will warm your heart, and Evie will make you ready to go back in time and join her in her mission.
There isn’t any part of this story that is boring, or slow, or hard to get through it was engaging and intriguing from start to finish. I am absolutely in love now, so excuse me while I got buy every single regency romance Golden Angel has ever written and devour them ALL!

At long last, we reach the pinnacle of our Deception & Discipline tale. I was so hyped after finishing Spy Season and seeing the first meeting of Evie and Anthony, when only Evie knows who is who. She is so bold and daring and her deception in Paris saves his life without him ever knowing. Leaving him wanting after a woman he has yet to find again. Until....
He discovers she is the niece of his spymaster! She doesn't seem to be ruffled at all (that he can see) by his presence, when he can't seem to get the minx out of his head. Well, Evie hasn't been able to stop thinking about the Captain either but there are bigger fish to fry and a traitor to capture. So what if she dreams of him at night and the feelings he gave her on her mission.
We have watched Evie make moves and fight against her family's expectations of her for the previous books through the eyes of her friends. Friends who she recruited when necessary because the men were too dense to use the resources right in front of them. And if there was a downside to this novel, it's that I feel like Evie has MORE than proved herself by now and I was getting a bit tired of her cousins constantly telling her to step back.
Overall, this was a great wrap up to the series. Everything culminates in a thrilling finish and I loved how all our previous couples were around to see it. We also get a hint at a few love stories still to come. (Joseph & Pris anyone? I am READY for that to be fleshed out.)
Golden Angel writes a fun, quippy, steamy historical romance novel, and this whole series was a great time. I hope you will give them a try when you get tired of conventional stories and want to step into the world of Spies, romance, spice, and adventure.

Ms Angel knows how to write a book with intrigue, romance, and compelling characters! This is one of my favorites! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.
Evie and Anthony had that one steamy encounter in France before they returned to England while working as spies. He was pretty shocked finding out that the woman he thought worked in a brothel, is the niece of the Crown’s foremost spy. They both fought their attraction until they were forced to work together again to flush out a man (they used to trust) turned giant traitor who was helping plot the assassination of the Duke of York.
I loved the give and take of control between Evie and Anthony. They’re both alphas but able to step back when necessary for the good of the other. Their raw sensuality in their love making was palpable. I think it surprised both of them.
Anthony recognized how wonderful Evie was as a spy and supported her to her uncle and cousins. She had had too many years trying to prove herself and her worth to them. Her life so far had consisted of “going rogue” to assist the Crown.
I wanted to SLAP Evie’s cousin Joseph after his little incident at the Society of Sin event! I was right there with Evie when she did. Can’t wait to read A Season for Bliss to see if this is resolved.
If you are ready for a hot plot, don’t hesitate to read this book!

I loved both Anthony & Evie, he’s the strong, alpha male who’s met his match with the feisty, intelligent, daring, fearless Evie. This was one great read, yes it’s steamy but it's also a wonderful romance & a brilliant spy story. I found it very hard to put down & devoured it. The icing on the cake was cameo appearances of characters from previous series, I adore it when an author creates their world. A very well written page turner with wonderful characters

A delightful ending for a great series!
This is the book I was most waiting for to read in the whole series, as It tells Evie and Anthony's story. After two hot encounters in the past (you can read about them in the prequel novella "Spy Season"); Evie and Anthony finally get their happy ending. But first they will catch a spy, discover secrets about Evie's close family and engage in sizzling hot sexual scenes.
The series is a mix of mystery, romance and erotica, written to perfection by the amazing Golden Angel. I can promise you that you had never read before anything like the proposal scene between Anthony and Evie, you will need to trust me on this and read it yourself.
It saddened me to reach the end of the series, therefore I was happy to learn that there are 3 more novellas planned in the story line (I can only hope that they include stories about Joseph, Adam and Uncle Oliver). This book and the series were pure joy, but this is usually the case when reading one of Golden Angel's books.

Evie has finally proven to her uncle that she is an excellent spy, but he will only allow her to work under the supervision of Anthony, a situation which annoys and thrills them both in equal measure.
Golden Angel has written an exciting and thrilling tale of deception and love in her final Deception and Discipline story, filled with her usual steamy scenes of hot sex and spanking. Wow!

A Season For Spies is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. This steamy historical romance had me hooked from beginning to end and gave us Evie and Anthony's story, one that was engaging and intriguing, suspenseful and dramatic, steamy and humorous.
In a world ruled by men, I loved how bold and daring Evie was and how she defied her family's expectations at every turn yet got results where they couldn't in the spy business. I loved that Anthony was protective yet open minded towards Evie. These two were a perfect match and I loved seeing how their relationship evolved throughout the story. They had great banter, intense chemistry and explosive steamy scenes.
The secondary characters played a major part in this tale and added so much hilarity and helped move the story forward. The novel took us on quite an adventure, with twists and turns and unexpected surprises. It is the 4th book in the series but can be read as a standalone. It was a well-written tale and I would highly recommend it to lovers of historical romance.

This is the book #5 in the Deception and Discipline Series and FINALLY we get Evie and Anthony's story. I’ve been waiting for their story and I was not disappointed! Evie and Anthony were so well matched for each other, their chemistry is smoking hot, and the push and pull between these two is so much fun to watch. This book is filled with plenty of action, suspense, intrigue, humor, and spicy goodness to keep you entertained from the first page until the last. A definite recommended read.

This book was amazing! I highly recommend ready the prequel to the series as you get some great background on Evie and the captain. I loved the action that came out of pursuing the traitor as well as all the other action inside and out of the bedroom. Evie is so different from her friends. She is much more like a modern woman of today so very progressive for the time of this book. The chemistry between the captain and Evie was off the charts and I’m glad they got an HEA. I will miss these characters and hope to see them included in future books. It was especially nice to see the tramp and his lady make an appearance is this book! 10/10 can not recommend this series enough!

While this is technically a standalone, as the last in the Deception and Discipline series it should really be read against the backdrop of the others in that series. This is Evie and Anthony’s story – following on from their meetings in Spy Season. Evie is determined, independent, and such a fabulous character, while Anthony is a dominant and determined man. It’s a tremendously good story, with tremendous characters, and a worthy close for this series.

Even though I have only read one full and one novella of the previous books in this series, (books 1 and 3.5) I have to say Evie and Anthony’s story was the one I really wanted to read. It was as good as I was hoping it to be. I was already pretty intrigued with the snippets I read about Evie, but to get her full story made me love her so much more. She survived on the streets at such a young age and has become a force to be reckoned with as an adult. She has been instrumental in all of the previous books, so to finally read her story was fantastic. If you had read the previous novella, Spy Season, you know that the hero is Captain Anthony Browne and that they have already met before, and what a meeting that was! He was absolutely perfect for her.
In their story, we get to see their amazing chemistry develop into something so much more powerful. Their attraction is still strong as ever but they both say they do not want anything more permanent. But with every interaction, they realize how futile it is to fight how right they are for each other. This book is also full of non-stop action and adventure, re-appearances of previous favorite characters, and the spice was top-notch. This is the last chapter in the deception and discipline series that concludes, with Evie’s story, the journey of four friends turning into spies and finding love along the way. In a world ruled by men they will be able to carve a place for themselves and prove their worth in more than one occasion while investigating an assassination attempt. Evie and Anthony are my next favorite couple after the Spencers!
The book can be read as a standalone but for a more complete ( and enjoyable ) experience it is advised to read the others before. Book 1 is currently on sale and a prequel to this book ( spy season ) is free.

Another great book in this series. If you love female spies, high heat, and action this is the book to read. I enjoyed seeing previous characters from the series interact with the main characters. Evie and Anthony were a perfect couple and kept each other entertained throughout the book.

The last book in the series and I loved it.
Evie was an amazing character. She wasn’t an innocent highborn lady, but she spent years on the street surviving, so she can take care of herself and is streetsmart. And she would do anything for the people she loved.
I loved seeing her putting her foot down or just doing what she wanted to get results. Women can do things just as well or even better then men. Go Evie.
Anthony and Evie were great together. They were well matched and sparks everywhere. Evie wasn’t afraid to tell Anthony what she wanted. And Anthony respected Evie and her intelligence.
A wonderful action packed read.

I loved this series and I've been waiting for Evie's story for so long. No one writes deliciously spankable historicals like Golden Angel and this one is no exception. Fantastic! You should definitely try the other books in the series first, plus the prequel novella.
I love that Anthony sees that making Evie a partner is really the best thing for him, for the most part. He stands up for her and supports her and that all adds up to make him totally swoon-worthy. I love how her friends and family come together and I don't want to say too much, but they all come to respect her input. I love Evie's independent streak and her ability to blend in and get answers. I am sure she will have more adventures and I hope we can be with her for some of them.
We got to check in on some friends (Hi Henry and Delilah!) and I'm hoping we'll get to see more some (Adam, anyone??) Plus, we solved a mystery! But we need to know if anyone else was involved! And Priscilla! I can't wait to read her story! So much excitement!!
I love that Anthony sees that making Evie a partner is really the best thing for him, for the most part. He stands up for her and supports her and that all adds up to make him totally swoon-worthy. I love how her friends and family come together and I don't want to say too much, but they all come to respect her input. I love Evie's independent streak and her ability to blend in and get answers. I am sure she will have more adventures and I hope we can be with her for some of them.
We got to check in on some friends (Hi Henry and Delilah!) and I'm hoping we'll get to see more some (Adam, anyone??) Plus, we solved a mystery! But we need to know if anyone else was involved! And Priscilla! I can't wait to read her story! So much excitement!!

I loved Evie and Anthony. Evie is the mysterious niece of England’s spymaster and Anthony one of his Agents. Their meetings have been explosive in the past (read the free prequel for all the smexy good times), but when he discovers who she is, suddenly she’s off limits, or is she? Evie grew up on the streets, but is determined not to do anything to embarrass her family. Nevertheless, she wants to help her Uncle find the traitor in their ranks and if that means going out on her own to do it, she will. Anthony soon discovers although she’s a lady, she’s also a woman who appreciates someone who can see she’s just as smart, or smarter, than most of the men around her and is a skilled spy in her own right. He realizes that the more he allows Evie to do her own thing the more attractive he is to her. These two just can’t admit their love and need their friends and family to knock some sense into them.
I absolutely loved seeing characters from the authors other books in this series as well as some of her previous series’. And some of the glimpses we got into other family members, well, let me just say I’m super happy the author is going to be doing a few novellas for us to tie up all those loose ends.
Amazing characters, HAWT good times, and an action packed mystery make this a satisfying conclusion to the main series.

This I my first story by Golden Angel and I’m hooked. I cannot wait to go back and start the beginning of this series. I felt like I was in the world created with these characters. I WANTED to be in this world with them.
This is the fictional historical world of London and a group of friends who are spies for the Crown. While trying to solve the mysterious secrets that unfold, Evie and Anthony also solve the matter of their hearts.
Evie was a brilliant character. Her backstory that unfolded as the novel went on added into this strong, fierce, and loyal woman.
Anthony brought out the best in Evie. He made her stronger while also giving her soft side what it needed.
Their push and pull only made the story more thrilling.
All of the side characters played exceptional roles to move the plot of the story along. I never once felt like there was a dull moment. Golden made each sentence count towards unraveling love and traitors.
The plot flowed marvelously and I didn’t have any loose ends I wish closed. If anything I’m left wanting more. The steam and spice will burn up your pages.
Brava to this author on hooking in a new reader. I cannot say enough about this story, world created, and characters.

Delightful Historical Spy Romance!!
Evie grew up in the streets until her Uncle Oliver took her in. She can still fit in where those in society would never tread. This enables her to gather information to which even her Uncle and cousin cannot – even though they try to keep the females away from their spy activities
Full of intrigue, humor and steamy wonderfulness. Captain Andrew Brown is a fabulous match for Evie who never wants to “give” control to a man. His understanding of this need gives him a very good chance at capturing her heart. Completely devoured this in a very short time. Pure entertainment.

The covers enticed me! The blurbs grabbed me! The words between the front and back covers had me swooning!

A Season for Spies, by Golden Angel. Good news! The fantastic and oh so irresistible duo Evie and Anthony are back. On this intense, spy catching job for the crown, Evie and Anthony brings you some entertainment, as well as some exciting romps in the boudoir department. You heard me! I was in heaven and very satisfied after reading Mrs. Angel’s book.
I liked that the writer provided some background information on the many characters within the story. I loved the fact that there are a few new characters. Most of the characters were a little funny and added some humorous moments here and there, I actually enjoyed that. The plot I felt was one of the tools best used to help the book have that realism to it. Evie and Anthony’s relationship brought some heat!
The relationship was the ultimate page turner. And when they came together, it was passionate, rough, hard, sometimes gentle and mind blowing. Until next time my fellow readers… read on!

Deception and Discipline has been a great series and this is a most fitting end. Evie and Anthony meet again but under different circumstances and her real identity is revealed. The spy business is not just for men and Evie is determined for her uncle to recognize her value. But that does not come easily and in the end she is acknowledged for her contributions. The story is full of action while they fill try to capture the traitor and keep everyone safe. I love Evie’s character and the self assuredness. There is humor all throughout the story which adds to it. Anthony is wonderful in how tries to keep Evie safe but he is no match for her tenacity and quick mind. I loved this story and all the characters as they added so much to the storyline. This is a book that is definitely worth reading and one I would highly recommend.

A Season for Spies, the latest book in Golden Angel’s Deception and Discipline series, does not disappoint. Together Evie and Anthony are combustible. Their chemistry is palpable, and it was fantastic to finally read their entire love story. I had the pleasure of reading this book as an ARC.

'A Season for Spies' is the fifth book in Golden Angel's "Deception and Discipline" series and as much as I've thoroughly enjoyed the preceding four books, this is the one I've been waiting for! Yep, we finally get Evie and Anthony's story, and what a story it is! I want to tell you so much about what happens in this book, some of which if you're like me you're going to be NO WAY just because it was so unexpected and then there are the parts that made me giggle just because the push and pull between these two tickled my inner self. And let me not forget the chemistry and the hot scenes between these two. They're smoking, to say the least, and Ms. Angel did not forget the butt stuff. It's a great storyline that, as I've said, I've been waiting on and it was exactly what I was hoping for and more. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, 100%!!

All is well that ends well! And this ends very well… The fourth and final book of the Deception and Discipline series, we finally get Evie and Captain Browne’s story. They are adorable. And they don’t even know it. In love, but oblivious. Just enough action and adventure, with a generous amount of smut. I’d still like a series just on the Society. The precursor to Stronghold. 😂 I’m still peeved at Joseph, though. Bad Joseph! BAD!!! 💜

I loved the book! This is a fitting end, hopefully with frequent drop ins, to the series.
Evie is still the best character, her spirited and feisty nature keeps shining through. I loved her from book 1 where she kept more to the shadows but the mystery and drama surrounding her made her even more intriguing as a character. She’s talented and oh so overlooked, which is destined to teach the men in her life a lesson.
There’s more to Anthony than meets the eye to. He’s got hidden depths that lurk under his previous glowering appearances. As always in this series, the scenes where all of the characters are together and bouncing off each other are amusing and add something special to the books. In this book we also get some glimpses into the world of some of the side characters, who cameo in other books and some of these moments are more surprising than others. I really hope we get to see a little more of the Society of Sin.
The outcome of the plot has it all, unexpected twists and turns, some additional surprises thrown in and a layer of adventure. It is a satisfying conclusion to the storyline. There are elements that could be revisited without having to come back to the main storyline, which is exciting as a reader.
Overall I love how the series has worked together, without repetition, occasionally we see parts of the same event from different view points but that just adds additional layers of understanding and character developments. I’m sure I will be revisiting this series when I need a bit of intrigue in my life.

The final installment in the Deception and Discipline series by Golden Angel is finally here and what a good way to end this series!

To completely grasp the story and the amount of characters you would have to read the rest of the series aswell.
I liked that there was a list of all the characters because it can be easy to lose track of who is who. Even when you’ve read all of the books it could be confusing.
Finally we get to see the story of Evie and Anthony. For the best effect I would really recommend you also read the novella Spy Season which contains the first 2 encounters between Evie and Anthony.
I loved that we got to see more of Evie’s character and she was exactly like I imagined her to be. After her parents died she was supposed to go to her uncle who is the crown’s spymaster. Unfortunately while waiting for her uncle she ended up with an awful woman which made her flee to live on the streets for 4 years. Thank god Tramp found her! Eventually she was saved from the streets (but only because she wanted to be found, it’s still Evie!).
Anthony is one of the agents of Evie’s uncle and because Evie can’t butt out of her uncle’s business he is the one who gets to babysit her and include her in the ride. Anthony sees and knows what she is capable of though.
This book is full of action and full of spice. I loved the scenes and the dynamic between Evie and Anthony and seeing them coming to terms that they love each other. The smut is amazing in this book and of course the Society of sin comes into play again.
I still can’t wrap my head around that storyline with Joseph. I really wanted to punch him in the face and yell at him. I also really felt that it was implied that Joseph’s wife was involved in the scheme and that confused me somewhat when she wasn’t. Maybe I’ve just read to many spy/crime stories where I can’t trust any character. I’m glad though that I read that Joseph and Priscilla get their own little novella story, and I really want to read that!
Overall this is a great conclusion to this series which I very much enjoyed.

Anthony is a wonderful counter to Evie. He is an alpha male who only wants Evie safe …… but she makes him work for it.
Hands down the best of the bunch of this series. Could not put it down! Make sure you have time to read uninterrupted you are going to love every sassy, kinky, stubborn, exhilarating bit of the ride!
