Harry'nin vasisi Minerva yedeği de Bill Weasley olmuştur. Okuldaki konumu etkilenmesin diye Snape ve Harry gizlice mektuplaşmaya karar verir. KSKS ödevlerinin içine kendilerinin çözebileceği bir büyü ile mektup yazacaklardır. Snape'de Harry'nin durumunu gösteren bir saat de vardır. Bir şekilde Slughorn'u ikna eder ve Snape KSKS hocası olur. Harry ise Minerva ile animagus derslerine başlar, Dumbledore ile Voldemort'u öğrenmeye başlar ve Malfoy'u takip etmeye başlar. Mektuplarda birbirlerine sorular sormaya başlarlar. Bu arada bir maral olarak animagus olur. Snape'im patronusu gibi. Mac adındaki baykuşu ona hediye eder. Mac ve Hedwig iyi anlaşır. Ron Lavender ile Ginny Dean ile sevgili olur. Harry Ginny'ye beslediği duygulardan bahseder Snape'e. Bu arada Hortlulukları öğrenir. Slughorn'dan o anıyı alması gerektiğini anlar. Snape Dumbledore'un yerine geçeceğini Voldemort'tan öğrenir. Paskalya gelir. Bundan sonra ne olacaktır? Keyifle okunan bir roman.

The content quality is as great as ever, but the format is a bit annoying. Some events happened in the background, and since the letters were written in first person, details of such event are sometimes missing. That being said, this is an aesthetic choice as the letters are the focal point of their relationship in the 6th year. Overall, a very solid story.
