Copy gifted by the Author in exchange for an honest review.

I have to admit that this book took me by surprise! I didn't expect for it to be THAT good! I really enjoyed the worlds Morgan has created and all the main characters that were involved.

Ms Sheppard has created a book that told us stories from 4 different realms. Where normally an author would create 4 different books, she decided to be bold and has created one amazing and interesting book.

Here all the time something happens and it helps you keep the reader interested and also not to be lost in the different stories.

All realms were described in detailed and the same goes for the characters, who were amazingly well developed. There is nothing more that I can from a fantasy book that makes my imagination go wild with putting images in my head after reading all the descriptions.

What I liked that there was sweet romance but it wasn't the main focus of the book. And I liked that a lot. It's a perfect YA book.

I am very happy with the story how it turned out and how it ended, and I certainly can't wait for the next one!

5 heavenly stars!

This book has certainly earned the #Epic tag - at over 600 pages this is a book that you can submerge yourself into. However, it certainly doesn't feel like that amount when you are reading it as the pages almost turn themselves as the story carries you along.

The characters are all well-developed and grow throughout the story as they have to learn how to work together, using and acknowledging their strengths and weaknesses. There are not only the four human main characters, but also we have four animal Life Partners too, who all have their own individual characters and quirks.

With a smooth and flowing pace and a gentle tone, this book is suitable for all ages, with no grammatical errors or spelling mistakes that I noticed. Highly recommended.

I just read it and is so pretty cool, I really like the wiccan alike references, and im shipping marcella x kai already they're so explosive together I hope they end together or something.

the characters are nicely done and interesting, they all have different personalities and that gave them a human like dimension.

it is super fun and all the problems they have are interesting and you can relate a lot.

Loved the cliffhanger at the end, it have me very excited to know what the next book will bring about.

I loved this! Morgan Sheppard weaves a YA fantasy story of a world that needs the characters to complete challenges while discovering their strengths and how to work together. The addition of animal life partners is brilliant. The story flows extremely well, the characters are easy to love and support and will leave you biting your nails while in danger, struggling to complete their quest and return stability to their world. I had to put it down to sleep and dreamed about it, the wonderful world built in my mind. I picked it back up as soon as possible as I had to know what happened next. I look forward to more. I read YA and fantasy from time to time, but I will place any YA fantasy from Mrs. Sheppard on my one-click list. Her writing style is fresh, and her creativity is exceptional.

Water Weaver by Morgan Sheppard

What an amazing book. It is well written, smooth flowing and easy to read. Once I started it I couldn't put it down. It kept me captivated from the first page through the last.

The characters were easy to get to know. I fell in love with the main 4 characters right away. The book takes you on an amazing journey, and I really enjoyed watching the characters learn and grow. The characters, their emotions and the experiences they go through are portrayed extremely well. The imagery is amazing. I felt like I was right there going through what the characters went through.

I am already itching for book 2 to see what will happen next.

Epic Fantasy meets sweet romance meets humor. This book was absolutely wonderful! Okay it’s long, it’s really long, but there isn’t a point in the book that drug or didn’t hold my attention. I was intrigued the entire book, from start to finish. There is action, there is incredible detail, there is some great romance that keeps you intrigued, and there is overall, a great story being told.

Let’s talk about the length first. This book covers four main characters and four realms. Rather than breaking the book up into four separate novels, the author has chosen to include it all in one book. The biggest thing I look for in long books is are there any points that just didn’t peak my interest or drug me along. The answer on that is definitely no. There is always something going on.

Detail and description are pretty stunning. When you are reading a fantasy book, as it is based on fantasy, a good author provides plenty of detail and description to keep you understanding and to provide for a great visualization. As I said above, this story is based in four different realms and this detail and description really brings to life these realms to the reader. It makes it easy to let yourself be sucked into their world. My only minimal complaint is to have just a bit more detail of the Kings or Queens of each realm. It was kind of fun to visualize them myself as I read but I would have liked a bit more detail about them.

The romance. This book has what I like to call a sweet romance. There is no incredible detail or any real hot and steamy scenes. However, what is included in the story was perfect for it. It was enough to keep you reading to find out what happened next. There was one scene that was innocent enough but was sweet and pretty hot. So as long as you don’t require the nitty gritty to read a good book but like a little something going on, this was perfect for me!

Let’s talk about the ending (calm down, no spoilers here). It ends with closure but kind of has a bit of cliff hanger. I’m not normally a huge fan of being left hanging. However, the story ends in a way that starts off the next book in the series, so in a sense, it was exciting too. The big thing to mention is you have closure for the first book!

All in all, I’m very pleased with this story and I will absolutely be reading and purchasing more books from this author. She writes a well written, well rounded story. There aren’t any plot holes or major detail left out. The story didn’t drag and flowed freely from start to end. I would absolutely recommend this book to you!

Loved this story! Water Weaver pulled me in immediately. I could easily see the world Ms. Sheppard brought to the readers, even more by time I hit Chapter 2, which went into detail of the festival. Very colorful, and I felt like I was right there. The way the characters thought and went about their lives definitely had you reminded that you had your nose stuck into an alternate world of magic and mystery.

I haven’t ready many young adult novels, but I have to say that the author captured the essence of young people with volatile emotions turning them one way and then suddenly flipping to another mindset. Very true to their age and maturity level. This was evidenced by the chastising they received from the Lord and Ladies early in the book. It was interesting watching the youngsters battle their own internal angst and coming to grip with their feelings before they had to deal with much larger things. I was happy to see that they became comfortable with each other and were able to work so well as a team while uncovering clues and using their strengths.

I laugh now, but I didn’t like Kai at first. He was so arrogant, but he redeemed himself, especially when he used the partner bonds and spoke with Marella to calm her when flying on the Roc. Loved the twist at the end that revealed the culprit that was causing them grief along their journey. Didn’t see that one coming! It was enjoyable watching these four youngsters grow closer and Marella becoming a strong woman. I was definitely Team Kai at the very end. I was grinning as I read the Epilogue. Loved it!

What a wonderful YA story! Full of adventure, overcoming adversity, triumph, and well-developed characters to love. Looks like there might be more to come within this wonderfully woven world. Well done!

P.S. I gave this a 5 Star way before I saw the author’s shout out to me in the Afterword. Thank you! Glad to have helped! xoxo

Oh Wow!!!  I think the author must have written before because this is such a great debut novel.
If you love fantasy you will fall into this whirling pool of magical realms and just not want to climb out of it again!
I loved the way all the characters except Marella appear so happy at home, but there is so much more to everyone than they want to admit,  or in some cases know themselves.
I love the character of the partners and Nixie particularly.
The ongoing sparks between certain characters bring gasps and chuckles galore,  and you have to cheer them on to the bitter end,  if it is the end!!!!
The plot twists are brilliant and I am waiting with baited breath for book two.

So pleased to have been part of the team and had the Arc. Thanks for the pure, unadulterated enjoyment.

I loved this book! The world-building and imagery alone kept my attention. The way Ms. Sheppard painted her world is so gorgeously vivid, helping me see everything! Sometimes in epic fantasy the characters become lost in magnificent worlds, but not in this one. Marella is such a strong MC and her relationships with the other three main characters, Darin, Lani, and Kai (OMG!) are believable and really are the heart of the story. Add these amazing characters with the elemental magic of water, earth, wind, and fire (Kai! <3), along with their Partners, and this story truly has it all.

This is Ms. Sheppard's first book, and she did a wonderful job! And that ending?! I'll be looking forward to the second book!

Water Weaver is an epic fantasy with great characters and a story worth reading. Morgan Sheppard's ability to create this imaginary world blew me away. Her scenes are vivid which easily pulled me into the story from page one. We have the elemental powers here: water, earth, wind, and fire, Parings, and romance—which is what I love most in stories. Marella is a strong character and the relationship with Darin, Lani, and Kai really drew me in, but now I have to wait for a second book! *insert wailing here* With Water Weaver being Sheppard'sdebut novel, she really did a fantastic job!

Water Weaver is a lovely YA Fantasy, filled with amazing characters and not all of them are human. This epic tale will take you on a journey of discovery as the four main characters and their four life partners strive not only to bring balance back to the world but have to learn how to work together to achieve success.
Beautifully unique ideas and a great read.

I loved Nixie!

This was an interesting fantasy to read. I think the story is woven together in such a way that my curiosity stayed on high alert. I had to keep reading it because I really wanted to know how all the pieces would fit together. I think the characters a well developed and stay true throughout the story. The concept is unique enough to honor the fantasy tropes without being so far out there that I scratched my head wondering what was going on. I do think this book could have been divided into two though.

Somewhere between Oz and Narnia, and not that far from the little alley that takes you to Hogwart’s, is a beautiful island called Wraidd Elfennol. The way that Rick Riordan brings to life the traditions of the Ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Norse, Morgan Sheppard pulls her readers into the not so forgotten world of the Welsh, where magic is a way of life, and nature is something strong and powerful that must be kept in order. With strong characters and magnificent details, Sheppard takes her readers on an odyssey that leaves them laughing, gasping, and begging for more. A story that appeals to old and young alike, Water Weaver is as educational as it is page turning as it follows young and gifted Marella on her journey to discover who she is and what she is made of when she and the other Chosen of Wraidd Elfennol must travel to mystical lands in a desperate attempt to save their tranquil world from all the harm that can come from a world out of balance. Sheppard does her own weaving as she blends humor, fact, and poignant life lessons into a piece that reads like an articulate friend telling you a fascinating story in front of a cozy fire. She had hooked me with Marella, the first book in this series, but now I am an addict. Water Weaver is an extraordinary read that leaves you craving exotic foods, a warm cup of tea, and her next book.

I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

As a début book this is really quite impressive. It's long, but never lags, the characters are rich and real and the 'adventure' is well structured. When I read a book I'm looking for a story I can disappear into, can live with my characters, people I hope will become friends. This is certainly the case with Water Weaver. The characters have a depth they are not perfect, but they try hard and I can relate to that. As an epic fantasy it brings in all the great parts of quest legend. A group of people who must learn to work together, a hunt for special items and lots of danger and obstacles to overcome along the way. As with all great quests, the characters must learn to work together. One of the things I like most about these books is that the bad guys are very real too, they are not just nameless evil, they have reasons and good points too.

This is a fun, exciting, book that held my attention and left me thinking about the characters (and how much I wish my cats could talk to me!). I shall be paying close attention to this authors next books.

I did not know what to expect from the storyline of this book having never read the authors work previous. I am glad to say that it did not disappoint and has left me wanting the next book.

We are told a story about the four Elements, earth, air, fire and water, and the struggle to remain balanced whilst fighting dark forces. 4 beings, The Chosen, are tasked with the job of trying to help save their world. We are told the story about the water weaver and kind of from her perspective. When the group of 4, The Chosen, first meet there is a lot of uncertainty between them. How are they going to spend a year and a day together?
We get to meet some really nice characters and some not so nice ones. There is great use of character building, my favourite being the description of Ula, one of the partners. What is a Partner I here you say... go get the book, you won't regret it.

For me it was a tad slow in starting but still had me hooked and when it got going it was constant.

If like me, you like the elements then go on and get the book, I guarantee if you like the fantasy genre then this is a book you will want to add to your reading lists.

Marella and her otter, Nixie, embark on an quest to find missing artefacts or create new ones. An epic fantasy adventure with a beautifully crafted story line with a strong MC. Marella has a wonderful relationship with the other character of the book and held great interest to me. Morgan Sheppard was brave in her debut novel and it paid off in this wonderful and beautiful book.
"It was the third day, and Marella was sat at the front of the house, resting her back against the wall as she watched Darren and Kai who were taunting each other.
"Come one, Kai, show me what you've got," Said Daren, standing there holding his sword out in Kai's direction.
"More than you," replied Kia with a smile as he walked towards Daren.
We'll see about that, shall we?" grinned Daren before moving into his first position'

This was an interesting read for me. It was clear the author is not from the US as the terminology and spelling of certain words outed her. However, rather than detracting from the story, these minor differences enhanced the reading experience for me. The story itself was good but confusing at first. Little build up was given to explain who was who and what the relationships with each other were. I eventually pieced them all together but found myself rereading bits in an attempt to discover if I'd missed something. There were some editing inconsistencies that flared, especially toward the end of the book. But overall a solid beginning to the series. A nice, easy read that was refreshing for me.

I've read this twice now and still love it. If really like to see this turned into a film of TV series. It would work so well and be suitable for all to watch, as well as read. A magical world.
