This was just perfect to for the holiday...I love a good ghost story and this one was amazing. I fell.for a ghost too...every thing seemed so real but I'm happy for Shadow getting her happily ever after eventually and living her best life. Definitely needs more but I can't wait for what's next

i enjoyed this book. I liked the plot. i didn't like the smut parts so much..... it was odd. there were typos thru the book unfortunately BUT the plot was good. i liked the character names, MFC: Shadow, MC: Ghost. As this is a new author for me, i will definitely check out more of her books.

This is a solid 2.5 out of 5. This storyline isn’t a unique one for Halloween novella’s and I’v read better. I’m going to read part 2 of this book to see if it’ll raise the overall score of this duology, but as it stands it’s just okay.

Now what did I just read?! 😂 Shadow had already endured enough stress, trauma, and abuse in her relationship to last a lifetime, and getting out meant completely changing her look and relocating just to feel safe. But even after escaping, she was still carrying all that weight with her. Normal life wasn't exactly normal anymore. Then she meets Ghost. Now his fashion choices? Questionable as hell. 😂 But his presence? that she started to crave. And baby, let's not even get into that man putting her through the mattress! Somewhere along the way, what they had became more than just a good time, and Shadow found herself catching real feelings. The problem is Ghost keeps trying to prepare her for the fact that whatever they have is going to end, and sooner than she thinks. Shadow isn't trying to hear none of that because after finally finding something that feels good, she wants to hold onto him for as long as she can. This is another short one, so I'm not giving y'all all the details. Just pick it up and see what happens. 👀 You never know…by the end, you might believe in ghosts a lil more than you did before.

I’ve been in a spooky mood this Fall season and have just been gobbling down Fall themed novellas. Now I’ve read another of this author’s Fall novellas but thought I’d give one more try.
I just may not be the intended audience.
The premise of the story I absolutely loved. A woman who does what she needs to in order to escape a horrible situation but she then carries that guilt around for years, even to the point of being haunted by the guy. She moves from place to place trying to find peace, hoping this last place is the one when BOOM, haunted again.
That’s when we meet Ghost. He swoops in the help change her life with one caveat: he’s literally a ghost.
Now my mind is very imaginative so I had no issues suspending my belief on Shadow’s relationship with Ghost. The story itself just fell completely flat and it’s not because it was short either. From the typos to the cringe spice scenes, idk. It just didn’t scratch the itch I was looking for. Idea however? Dope as hell.
And I still have one lingering question: how come he couldn’t change clothes when he could take his clothes off? 😂 I mean Shadow was stuck on this man dressing like he was from 2005 and he gave the excuse of it being laundry day which made me think he couldn’t take his clothes off (since he’s a ghost and all) but when they got down and dirty multiple times, he completely removed his clothes. I mean if he can take them off he should be able to change them too. 🤭

Nothing Wrong With A Little Closure
No one should have to deal with abuse - mentally, emotionally or verbally. Sometimes enough is enough and a person gets tired. That’s exactly what happened with Shadow until it started becoming too much. My girl was losing her mind and I was losing it with her. Cause ain’t no way I wouldn’t have started to pull my hair out. Not only for my past but for see the supernatural like it normal 🤭.
Ghost was just doing what was asked of him and showing Shadow that she can let go, live and possible love again. He helped her understand and learn that she can let go of her past and show her it’s ok to live her life without looking over her shoulder. Along the way, though he shouldn’t have, his feelings got involved as well.
Guess you can say I’m in the paranormal bag of books. This was a good time, an example of letting go and living. The author's story line and message is like no other. Okay, now I’m just tickled! Ghosts have evolved I see! Shadow out here possibly falling in love with a whole orange eyed spirit and I’m trying to figure out when the paranormal dating scene got this interesting!

Shadow and Ghost were definitely an interesting pair. I liked watching their relationship develop because there was something about their connection that kept me invested, even with all the supernatural craziness happening around them. Shadow had me questioning some of her choices, but I understood why Ghost became such an important part of her life, and I enjoyed the chemistry between them. The story took a few turns I wasn’t expecting, and that ending really caught me off guard. For only 66 pages, Thee Tasha Marie gave me a quick paranormal romance with plenty of mess, spice, and an ending that left me wanting just a little more. This was a solid 3.5 stars for me.

This short story was good. Im not really read fantasy/science fiction reader but I enjoyed this book. The cover, title and synopsis intrigued me to read this book and it also was my first time reading something from Tasha Marie. The plot and characters were really good and I can't wait to read more from this author. The story had a few grammatical errors but that didn't stop me from reading the book because I wanted to know if Ghost was a really a ghost or not lol. Awesome book!

Wow! This is some creepy sh!t! I was scared for my girl Shadow! I'm glad Ghost found her and was able to help her. She was definitely losing it. I loved their connection and hated to see it end, although good came from it. Ghost was the perfect man for her. Oh & Jaxson got what he deserved & I'm glad Shadow planned it the way that she did. Smart. Can't wait to read the next book.

“This Halloween will be one to remember forever.”
I wasn’t sure what this was going to give but I am not disappointed. This was engaging, funny, relatable, both dark and lighthearted… you get a soft range of emotions.
This is book I in a duology.
I think it’s 50/50 as far as if you’ll want to rush into book II. But, book I is worth the quick read.
The spin of death, grief and abuse was clever. It’s my first read from the author. After this duology, it won’t be my last.

I went into this book completely blind, with no idea what to expect, and I’m so glad I did. My heart broke for Shadow and everything she had to endure throughout the story. I was really rooting for her, and I’m so glad she was finally able to find the closure she deserved.
I also loved the significance of the ring at the end. It was such a beautiful touch and solidified that everything Shadow experienced was real. I really enjoyed this read.

Ghost aka Gavin was there to deliver her from evil but technically he haunted her too. Fighting against insanity Shadow learned that everything happens for a reason and it’s all about time. This resulted in her finding much-needed peace and free of the haunted world.

Really quick Halloween read. Falling for a ghost, a sexy one at that. Shadow has been abused for so long and she took matters into her own hands. The only way she thought was her escape from this man, Jaxson.
She’s moved away and now she’s being haunted! There’s a way through this haunting and also a way through her guilt. Ghost comes to save the day, and her life.

Wow, who would’ve thought that Halloween and Love would be in the same sentence. Tasha Marie did her thing with the story. From beginning to end I was hooked I did not want to stop reading the story once I got started. Tasha does a great job with her storytelling skills. This book was most definitely a five star read and I highly recommend you read it!

GOOD READ
This was a nice, short Halloween story. Shadow went through a lot with her ex and starting over in a new city was just what she needed to move on. Ghost appearing in her life became an interesting love story and one that will have him around for life. He was her best kept secret.
