Christopher Mistletoe loved the mountainside town where he grew up. The last thing he wanted was for Snow Valley to fall into the hands of a heartless corporation. Although he had no interest in getting married, he agreed to his mom's plan to save his hometown. He'd marry his mail-order bride but in name only. Once he and his brothers owned Snow Valley, he'd annul the marriage and move on with his life as though it had never happened.

The plan was simple...until he met Winter Green and realized he was never going to let her go.

The Mistletoe Brothers are ready to save Snow Valley … even if it means marrying complete strangers. The six women who arrive in this mountainside town all have very different reasons for agreeing to an arranged marriage. And none of them quite know what to make of the six ruggedly handsome brothers who greet them. But they do know this: there’s no turning back.

It’s Christmas, the season for miracles … but is it also the season for falling in love? Join six of your favorite romance authors this holiday as they show you around the most romantic town you’ve ever visited. It’s got an ice-skating rink where you can hold hands, hot cocoa to sip by the fire, and plenty of mistletoe that you can kiss under.

These stories are filled with high heat...because with six brothers, there are plenty of packages to unwrap.

Christopher and Winter's story was previously available in the Mail-Order Brides for Christmas anthology. This edition includes two new epilogues and an expanded first chapter.

3.5 stars.
Short, simple, sweet, sexy, love at first sight.
Christmas edition.

This was really cute.
And it had the Fiona Davenport brand of dirtyness that I love.
With the usual breeding kink thrown in, because all of this writing duo’s MMCs are just too possessive to stop at just getting a ring on their womans’ fingers.

Really short though. Just about 50 or so pages.
So not a lot details on anything besides the first day of their relationship.

I still had a good time though.
Super steamy.
And really sweet.

Can’t wait to see the other holiday books this duo puts out.

"Taking hold of her hand, I held it tight as I headed toward her things. I didn’t want to give her a chance to get away."

I thought that this was a good fun read but it didn't quite feel like the Fiona Davenport stories I'm used to. Admittedly, I'm new to her and have only read a few things outside of the Love series but I just expected more heat and obsession from her. I mean there was absolutely SOME of those things, I'm just used to Fiona Davenport cranking it up a few notches. Still, I thought it was a good read that you should take a chance on.

STORY:
This story was cute and mixed with Christopher’s caveman attitude it made it even more cute for me. I loved it. It was Insta romance and very fast. Christopher does not want a mail ordered bride. He wants in name only. However, the moment he saw Winter, that all went out the window and Christopher’s caveman and possessiveness takes over. If it’s even possible, what made it more fun to read for me was Christopher’s grumpiness throughout this story.

SEXUAL CHEMISTRY:
Their sex scene was good. I enjoyed it, especially when it matches both characters attitude and need for each other.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
This is about the Mistletoe brothers, but I loved Lincoln, Christopher’s best friend. He was fun with his teasing towards Christopher and this whole mail ordered bride situation.

OVERALL:
Good read 2 books in, and I love it. They are quickie reads that as a certain appeal to it.

✰✰TRIGGERS:

****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.

Christopher is a man of few words who would rather be working in his office or at home with his dogs and a good book.

Snow Valley’s founder enacted a law that stipulated the owner or owners of the town be married. The current owner Jasper is retiring and plans to sell Snow Valley to the Titan corporation on New Year’s Day. So, he’s stuck between marrying a stranger by New Year’s Eve or losing the town.

Upon arriving to Snow Valley, it’s a fair assessment that Christopher is gobsmacked by Winter. I think the marriage in name only caveat just got invalidated.
“Christopher Mistletoe?”
The world tilted, and I wondered if this was what Lincoln was talking about when he said swoon because I felt completely off-balance.
“I’m Winter,” she said with a beautiful smile on her plump, red lips, showing off straight, even white teeth. Her nose was pert and tipped up just the tiniest bit at the tip, and her round cheeks made her look almost angelic.
She pulled off her cap and mountains of white-blond curls fell all around her. My breath caught in my lungs, and when I was finally able to suck in some air, I wheezed.

“Taking hold of her hand, I held it tight as I headed toward her things. I didn’t want to give her a chance to get away.”

She pointed at two small suitcases, and I frowned down at her. “That’s all you brought?”
“I put everything else in storage. I figured it would be easiest if I only brought enough for the time I’ll be staying here.”
He grunted and grabbed both bags in one hand. “We’ll send for the rest of your sh*t tomorrow.”

When I reached the passenger side door, I wrenched it open, and only then did I release her hand. I dropped her bags onto the ground and grasped her waist and lifted her into the seat. Damn, she was tiny and barely weighed anything. I’d need to get some meat on her bones. My brothers and I were all large babies, and I wanted to make sure Winter was strong enough to carry Mistletoe boys.

Somewhere between Winter introducing herself and taking her hat off, he’d decided she was his and that he was keeping her. Christopher wasn’t acting like a man not wanting a real wife, in fact he’s gone completely caveman on her.

Winter somehow found herself married—in name only—to the perfect man, who lived in the perfect town, and owned the perfect house. Handing her everything she’d ever dreamt of, as he plans on keeping her, forever.

Holy insta-love Santa!

For what it was, it was hot, dirty talking, cute and a fun, fast read. It also has a breeding kink, which I didn’t hate 👀 and the epilogue was cute too.

As for being a Christmas book, I have a big criteria for this and a Christmas book it was not. It’s set around Christmas, and the heroes name is mistletoe, there’s mention of decorations but thats it.

I know it’s a novella and as such it’s going to be speedy, but because the premise of a Mail order bride is a great romance premise it would have been delicious to see this one fleshed out over months and not a single day.

Would recommend though. 🎅🏻

I mean, I should have known where this would go based on the title lol.

This is insta-love on steroids. As in, the SECOND he sees her he wants to marry her and BREED her. And this is one of the things I hate most…”breed her”, “fill her with my seed”, “can’t pull out so none of my seed is wasted”. You get the idea. It actually made me laugh quite a bit, though unintentionally.

If this is up your alley, enjoy!

Fun holiday romance

This is definitely an INSTAlove story, so if that’s not your jam, then this book isn’t for you BUT if it is then you’ll definitely enjoy this one! Christopher is a possessive guy who just can’t get enough of his new wife Holly! There is a little steam, fun- fast paced storyline, and all the Christmas feels with this one.

Christopher & Winter

I read this when it came out in the anthology and it’s every bit as good as I remember it. Actually more so because of the added bits. Love that their relationship is planned but their attraction is so immediate and intense that they just get swept away. And now I can’t wait for Lincoln’s story!!!

Christopher, Book 1 of the Mail-Order Brides For Christmas series, was about Christopher Mistletoe and Winter Green.
When Christopher's family learned that their small town was about to be sold to a large corporation that would turn their world into a tourist attraction, he and his five brothers decided to pool their money together to buy it instead. There was only one problem with that idea, though. The town's founder had created a legal and binding codicil that stated whoever owned the town had to be married to do so...and none of the Mistletoe brothers were married. Fortunately (or unfortunately for the brothers, depending on how they looked at it), their mother had the perfect plan to circumvent the codicil...each brother would have a mail-order bride and be married before the New Year hit.
Since Christopher was the first to go along with the idea, he emailed the owner of the mail-order bride company and added a stipulation of his own. It would be a marriage in name only, and the marriage would last only long enough for the brothers to make the sale final. Then he would have it annulled.
Winter had agreed to the marriage at first, but the day before she was to leave her home to move to her husband-to-be's town, she learned of the new stipulation set in place by Christopher. While she was more than a little disheartened by the idea of a temporary marriage, once she learned why he was getting married in the first place only cemented her decision to follow through with the nuptials. But that wasn't how things went once the two of them met.
This was a short, but sweet love story that moved at a lightning pace. There wasn't really any angst or drama and only a touch of spice. Even the emotional rollercoaster was missing, with only a twist or two in the plot. There also wasn't any push/pull or conflict between the main characters.
While both the main characters were fully developed and mature, the story was a bit of a letdown. With the Blurb's buildup about the Mistletoe family, the author didn't introduce any of them in the book. The reader got to "meet" only a handful of other characters, none of whom were part of Christopher's family.
There wasn't a lot of background information on anyone in the book, so ages were not given, and other than knowing that Christopher owned a brewery and a bar that's all the reader got to learn about either of them. There wasn't any information given as to why Winter applied for the ad for a mail-order bride.
While this was a cute story, it left much to the imagination and didn't satisfy this particular reader since it left so much out. I did give it a three-star rating, but I just wish it had more content and background story to make it feel complete. As it stands, it felt rushed and lacking.

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

Super fast fluffy instalove story, Christopher and his brothers all need to marry before New Years Eve if they want to save their picturesque little town of Snow Valley. An old archaic law states the owners of the town must be married, since the current owner wants to sell, the brothers have to get married or the town will be sold to a giant corporation. Christopher has no time for a wife, he’s busy working his bar and brewery. His mom comes up with a great plan to find her boys brides, a mail order bride service. Christopher thinks he can trick the clause by marrying his wife in name only, then get an annulment after they purchase the town. But one look at his bride, Winter and he throws that idea right out. Their both attracted to one another and as Winter gets to know Christopher she likes him more and more, he’s the perfect guy for her. But she was told by the agency that this was in name only. So she tries to keep things friendly but Christopher marries her right away and takes her home to consummate the marriage that day. She’s a little confused by everything moving so quick but happy to be married to him. I loves yous and epilogues with them pregnant and years later with three kids and a fourth on the way.
Three steps to this cute story, they meet, they have sex, and they have babies. Easy peasy.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Christopher is a novella in the ‘’mail order brides for Christmas’’ collection.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Christopher’s mother gets him and his brothers mail order bride’s he isn’t happy. When he meets Winter will real love blossom between them?
The chemistry between Christopher and Winter is clear to see and I liked them together.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

DNF because: the H changes his mind about the mail order bride situation his mom set up. He alerts the agency who alerts the bride (h) that he just wants the marriage for show until him and his brothers are sold the town. OH BUT WHEN HE SEES HER FOR THE FIRST TIME he decides oh shit she’s pretty I have to have her. She has to be “mine” so he stops by the judge’s house to marry her on the way home. After this line: “Besides, I needed to marry her so I could get on with the rest of my plan. Fucking her all day, every day, until she was carrying my son.” I DNFed at 37% like bro there is more to this woman than her blonde hair and blue eyes.
Idk y’all I was just not feeling it

What a great mail-order bride story

It was fun reading this book. Christopher didn't want to get married, maybe some day. To save his town, he and his brothers must be married before New Years. His mother set them all up with mail border brides. Enter Winter, Christopher's bride. He had written the woman who set the brides up saying he wanted a marriage in name only and they could separate afterwards. Things sure changed. Read how fast things happened to him. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I have. Written by Cindy :)

Loved this

Wow as soon as Christopher saw Winter he knew she was going to be his forever even though originally he told the agency he would only marry her in name only.
Winter is confused when Christopher gets all growly when she mentions getting ski lessons but he states the instructors are all men. Eventually Winter gets Christopher to tell her what is going on but is happy that he feels the pull and that he loves her.

Loved It!

I loved this story. From the meddling mom, to the email, then the love at first sight. The only thing that could top that was her way cool married name. Loved the possessive Neanderthal husband, and their holiday traditions! So looking forward to the next book in this series.

Super cute!

Loved this story! Man I wish these were longer but that's just me being greedy for more. I really would've liked more background and interaction with the brothers and the mom who started it all :) but still a great read no matter how quick, going to go now and get the rest to meet the other brothers brides.

I’m a sucker for insta-love

These type of stories are so predictable but that’s probably why I like them. It’s all just mushy gushy romance. Short, sweet & a great brain cleanser after a more intense read. Christopher & Winter are too sweet. A grumpy bachelor meets the beautiful woman that believes in love.
