I truly loved this book, just wish it was longer and just a little bit more detailed. Felt like it jumped over a few things.

Barracuda is finally back and ready to settle the score of losing yet another old lady. Neither was his fault but he still blames himself.

This book picks up right where the other left off with Rayna coming in with the baby of the man who had just died. Only thing is she is not his birth Mother. Her best friend who had recently died was. Now Rayna is learning what it means to be protected by the club. To be safe her and the baby are under their protection. Someone else is there with her at all times. Mostly it's moody Barracuda. The question is... are they finally going to catch this psycho who is out to take Barracuda and anyone he cares about down?

Can't wait until the next book

Barracuda was the fifth book in the Royal Bastards MC: Sacramento series by Winter Travers. The series builds upon each other and was best read in order.

I’m taking a break from my normal review process at the moment but a few quick thoughts: Overall, it was a fast and enjoyable read but it seemed a little short and I desired more detail and depth. Barracuda had a lot of pain and death that we had witnessed in previous books of the series. And as expected, those demons followed him; however, not as much as you’d think. Although I liked him, I expected a little bit more from him. Rayna came on the scene at the end of the last book, Rebel, with an unexpected twist. She fit in well with the ole ladies with her strong and independent personality so was a good fit for Barracuda. And lastly, the MC conflict that had dominated the series came to a conclusion - or did it? Travers provided another big cliffhanger as an introduction to the next book, Jet, so we’ll have to wait and see if it’s a new conflict, or a continuation of the old. Bring it on!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Barracuda is back. Ready to right all his wrongs and protect the ones he loves. Even the ones he didn't even know about.

Barracuda is a man who has suffered a terrible loss and needed to put some distance between him and his MC. He has lost the two women that he has ever loved and one man can only take so much and there is just no way that can't affect him and make him be afraid of loving again. His intention in coming home was to right the wrongs that he has done and protect the ones that he loves. Those are two very important things to him. When Rayna a girl who has really been through it since she lost her best friend of twenty years, Mia to an accident. Mia had a son Willem and that left Rayna to raise the son that was produced from Mia and Tank's one night stand. She goes to the MC looking for Tank to do the right thing and what she finds there is a family. People that are willing to take her and Willem in and protect them at all cost if they were to ever need it. When Rayna first meets Barracuda she is afraid of him. After all no matter how hot he is, he is a very brooding man that is super intimidating and puts her on edge any time he is around. But there is just no way that they can deny the attraction they have for one another. I personally loved Barracuda and how he was with Rayna. We got to see a somewhat different side of him than in the beginning and I loved the way he cared for Rayna and Willem. They are just pure fire for each other. But it is also a super emotional story too. You will lose your heart to all these character while reading one amazing book that I for one couldn't put down.

Barracuda is book six of the Royal Bastards Sacramento Chapter. This series should be read in order as each story picks up where the previous one left off.  This journey follows Barracuda and Rayna.

Barracuda is very stoic, intimidating and a man who likes to take charge.  He's also riddled with guilt and blames himself for a lot of tragedies. Rayna is independent, a newly single mother, kind, and can be sassy. She does not take kindly to being told what to do.

The story was entertaining and easy to read, but not much really happens. There's a tad of action at the end but that's about it. I also didn't really feel an all consuming, explosive connection between Rayna and Barracuda. Don't get me wrong, I think she's a good fit for Barracuda as she can hold her own, there just wasn't enough depth to their story to really see their connection build, it was just like suddenly a light was flipped and they decided they wanted to be together.

Boy have I ever been waiting on this one. If you have kept up with the RBMC, Sacramento Chapter, you know their Prez, Barracuda, has been MIA. He is still not over the loss of his best friend and MC brother and he’s riddled with guilt over his friend's death and a few other incidents, but he’s back and ready to take the reins back and protect the club and those he loves from the current threats.

Barracuda is a rough, intimidating man yet we get to see the vulnerable size of his as his story unfolds. Especially with the club's latest arrival (she entered at the end of the prior book) Rayna. Imagine his shock when he finds out about Rayna but also that she is there with Willem (his deceased’s best friend's son). These two are so broken and yet so strong and their story is simply outstanding.

I highly recommend grabbing up all the RBMC, Sacramento books, they are truly an awesome series and this reader can’t wait for more.

2 Thumbs Up and 5+ Stars

After a devastating loss Barracuda needed to put some distance between him and the club. He has now returned and is determined to right the wrongs of the past but Rayna and Willem were a surprise he wasn’t prepared for.

Rayna is strong, independent and determined to do right by those she lives even if it means challenging Barracuda when necessary. She and Willem have found a home both at the MC and with Barracuda and they will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe.

Romance, intrigue and no one is more deserving of happiness than Rayna and Barracuda after all they have been through.

This book was boring compared to the books before in the series. There also seemed to be missing information (unless I missed it) on WHO "Miller" even was or WHERE he came from. He became the main villain in the book without much explanation at all. Also, all of a sudden Menace was dead (It would have been nice to have read HOW he died), when he was such an important character in several books.

Loved it!!!!
Simple as that.
Loved how strong, fiesty Rayna yet had a sense of vulnerability. She loved that baby with all her heart. Now Barracuda was hot!
His guilt made him vulnerable, yet sweet yet strong for his club. The way he was with Rayna and Willem was sweet.

Woohoo! Barracuda is back after going AWOL to lick his wounds after his ole lady was killed. Yup, he was destroyed and made his way to the Kings of Vengeance but his problems followed him. Luckily, the Kings helped him deal with the villain but there is a second evil that is reeking havoc in Cali. If you aren’t reading the Kings series you’re missing out on one crazy club and lots of danger and fun. Back to ‘Cuda. While he was away Rayna showed up with a little bundle of joy, Tank’s son. Unfortunately Tank is gone along with little Willem’s mother and Rayna’s bestie. Rayna is new to club life and it’s a challenge for the independent career woman to have bikers in her home to keep her and Willem save until the bad guys are destroyed. Well, one biker really gets under her skin. The sexy, handsome Prez. The romance between the two was a little bland for me. It didn’t have the punch of the previous stories in the series. Maybe it was because a good portion of the book was about the baby and the ole ladies. The romance was a little lost amongst the baby love and waiting for the villain to strike. But handsome and new mama were sizzling when they got down to it. The danger hits and it was exciting as the club took care of business. Finally, Menace and his followers are done! It looked like things are settling down until that jaw dropping ending that left a brother in peril. I love this group of bikers, the ole ladies and the heart warming brotherhood. The story had all the brothers ready to protect and defend against the danger that lead to a thrilling end along with a sexy romance. Glad Barracuda is back where he belongs and he found happiness with a new ole lady and a “son”. A terrific addition to this fantastic MC series. I can’t wait for the next installment to find out who the new enemy is. Loved it!

He’s lost so much in his life that when he has everything he’s ever wanted in front of him, he’s afraid to take it. Barracuda has lost not one, but two women that he’s loved. He can’t have feelings for the woman that walked into the clubhouse a few weeks ago looking for his friend and “brother” Tank.

Rayna was just looking for Tank, her best friends baby daddy. She was not expecting to find a family and people that would take her and Willem in and protect them from the danger that could be waiting to find them. Willem’s mother, Mia, was killed in a hit and run accident, leaving Willem behind. Rayna and Mia were best friends for twenty years and now Rayna is left to raise Willem, the baby from a one-night stand.

Rayna is afraid of Barracuda. He’s hot, sure, but he’s also a brooding, imposing man that puts her on edge. However, she can’t deny the attraction to him and the want that she has to be with him. They drive each other crazy with their dependent, overprotective natures, but they have chemistry that can’t be denied. As with all of the RBMC books I’ve read, I loved Barracuda. His story was heart wrenching, and emotional, but it was so good. I loved his vulnerable side that he showed to Rayna and his protectiveness and big heart that he showed for both Rayna and Willem. The characters in this series are just as great as the others and I can’t wait to read more. I give this book a 5-star review. Winter Travers has an awesome ability to write MC romance with her H being protective, sexy, sweet, and loving and her h being, strong willed, funny, beautiful, and the ability to know when to let her man take care of her and take charge.

I loved this book. Barracuda was going through the motions of life; feeling guilty for the deaths of 3 important people in his life. Someone from his past had targeted his woman and one of the men in his club. Rayna entered his life with Tank's son. She was looking for Tank because baby Willem's mother Mia was killed in a car accident. Was she another victim of Menace? Rayna decides to stay in Sacramento with the club to help her raise Willem. She has been so busy taking care of him that she hadn't had time to mourn the loss of her best friend. Several of Barracuda's club brothers tried to get through to him about shutting others out because he was afraid to feel more loss. But it's Rayna who convinces him to live again. This book is about their budding relationship and the threat of one of Menace's minions coming after the club. Barracuda is worried for Rayna and Willem and stays in her home to protect them. They feel drawn to one another as they care for the baby and each other. The two of them share a steamy scene amisdst all of the fear and angst happening around them. Rayna finally learns to trust that Barracuda's bossiness is him doing his best to keep them all safe. The book ends on a cliffhanger so you will want to read the next book in the series to see what is taking place.

Barracuda was a slow burn of two broken hearts that started to beat for each other while they learned to live and love again. I didn’t blame Cuda for leaving, but I’m so glad he’s back. Rayna & Will brought him back from the darkness and gave him a purpose and reason to focus on the good in his life. For two people that have lost loved ones, their guilt is at the forefront as they learn to navigate through muddy waters of starting over without the most important people in their lives.

Rayna is sassy and so loving and she takes care of that baby like he’s her world. Well to be fair he is and it’s so beautiful to watch. Barracuda is intimidating, growly and sexy and is determined to keep everyone safe. He’s so sweet and protective over Rayna and the baby and it makes me swoon. You need to read this book for the reality tv, the rose tattoo, the girls with baby fever and the boom alone. By the way, I love Barracuda’s real name, but I’m kinda biased. It totally made me smile.
And the ending…Wow! Winter you gotta write faster because I need to know ASAP!

I'm going to start out by saying that I LOVE LOVE LOVE this author's work, so I'll never stop reading any & all books by her. And her MC romance is amazing there's no doubt, but there was an issue that kept me from enjoying it to the fullest. Barracuda has a lot of pain in his life, so I'm all for him to find someone to have in his life since I truly felt so bad for him. Rayna has come to the clubhouse with another brother's baby, and she finds out the baby's father is no longer on earth, but luckily, this MC will take her in fully. Yes it's an adjustment for Rayna, but it's also the best thing for her in the long run. She has a connection to Barracuda despite the fact that he's pretty intimidating for a cool minute but the chemistry doesn't care. There are a lot of twists coming in hot to make the story really pick up the pace which is always a favorite of mine at the end of the day. Here's where it got distracting to me, the pet name used so much because it started to overshadow the storyline but of course this is just me. Anyway, I cannot wait for more per usual so I'll HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! {4.5 STARS}

Barracuda is back, and he’s angry! Heck, he’s a lot of things. Guilt-ridden over things he can’t change, angry, worried about what’s going on and where the next danger will come from, stressed, busy, tired, falling for Rayna….yeah, he’s busy. It’s a good thing he’s got friends in other MCs who can and will step up to help, and it’s even better that Rayna isn’t afraid to help set his head straight.

I loved Rayna from the start and the new brand of chaos she brought to the club. She took on responsibilities that she didn’t have to and didn’t shy away from the difficult things swirling around her. Even her slowish burn with Barracuda worked perfectly because they both had a few things to work through.

And just as I’ve come to expect and love/hate in this series, we have some answers and more questions. I love it because I know there’s more to learn. But I hate it because now I have to wait for more answers!

Barracuda & Rayna + Willem

He'd needed to get away after the death of a brother. Another loss of someone important and he didn't think he could take anymore. He blamed himself even though no one else did. He finally returned. Then--surprise. A gorgeous young woman came looking for the brother he'd lost bringing something no one expected.

There are surprises, answers, and a teaser for the next with new questions.

Barracuda was more than interested but with his survivor's guilt, he wouldn't allow himself to pursue her. They were all in danger until they found their enemy. He vowed to protect her and did everything to do so including calling in some favors. (That means we get to touch base with some other MC friends from previous books)

The club is tight-knit. The Ol Ladies are a riot and strong as well as have their guys wrapped. Danger, steam, great characters, nasty enemies--another great read by the author about fan-favorite characters

Barracuda and Rayna

I have been waiting for Barracuda's story since book one Playboy. Barracuda is the Pres of Sacramento RBMC and he has finally returned home. With Miller still on the loose Barracuda will hold his brothers and the old ladies at arms length. Rayna appeared at the end of Rebel with little baby Wilhelm. RB will all come together to keep Rayna and Wilhelm safe. Barracuda will find more than a pretty face, he will find the one woman who can help him repair his broken heart. Rayna is a great female lead, she is easy going but stands up for what she believes in, she loves unconditionally and takes care of Barracuda. Their love story is quick and steamy. Absolutely loved Barracuda, Travers gives us another hit filled with angst, chemistry, humor and of course ends story with a bomb of a cliffhanger. I personally can't wait for next book in this series! Happy Reading!!

This is the fifth book in this phenomenal series and is Barracuda and Rayna’s journey. Barracuda is back after taking off after the death of his best friend and club brother, and he is determined to protect and take care of everyone close to him. Rayna arrives at the club with her little son Willem, looking for his dead best friend, and she is sassy, and loving, and gains an entire family instead. Barracuda and Rayna are both broken souls, and while he has survivors’ guilt and is angry, she calms his soul, and the chemistry between them is undeniable. This is a well written story which is an emotionally charged tale, with loyalty, friendships, family, acceptance, guilt, danger, suspense, intrigue, drama, loss, grief, healing, humor, witty banter, and love, which all leads to a riveting and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

(4 Stars)

Last book we learned that Tank had a baby no one knew about and with that baby came Rayna. Rayna lost her best friend and is now the guardian for her baby, she had no clue going to the clubhouse to tell the father would get her sucked into all the drama and danger that was happening for them, and that's just what happens. Barracuda comes back into town and his guilt will not let him stay away from Tank's son. Just so happens that he also has to make nice with Rayna and another kind of guilt creeps in. Will Barracuda be able to let the guilt go and move on with his life or will he wallow forever?

Another exciting read from Winter Travers! We get drama, danger, violence, loads of laughs, spicy moments, and we get to see the ladies go all gaga for the baby. I enjoyed reading this story, it's a good addition to the series. I give this 4 stars.

What a Fantastic Addition to the Series!!

With Barracuda returning from his sabbatical having dealt with death yet again he goes straight to Rayna’s serving as protection for her and his dead best friend’s son, Willem. There were still people out there wanting to harm Barracuda and those around him.

Barracuda and Rayna were two broken souls who were bound and determined to do anything to protect Willem especially with someone on the outside who wanted to harm them. I loved the chemistry between not only Barracuda and Rayna but the bond they both had with Willem.

This was a fast-paced book that had steam, the club family life, and so much drama. With such a heart stopping ending in Barracuda I can’t wait to see what happens with Jet’s book which is next.

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Barracuda has finally returned home to stay and he is out for blood, two people he didn't count on are Rayna and Williem as they work their way into his heart without him knowing it. Barracuda carries so much guilt that he is closed off to everyone and may lose everything. I loved this story and how both Rayna and Barracuda have so much guilt for many things in their pasts. This truly was an explosive story with one hell of an ending. I love Winter Travers and how her stories weave around me, and I never want to leave the worlds she creates.
This book was MC but so much more. Barracuda is finally home but what’s waiting for him may just turn his life upside down. Rayna has been thrown into a whirlwind. She has a baby to take care of and she has gained an entire new family. Excellent writing. Fabulous storyline.
I love this series! I love all of the biker series by Winter Travers, actually. I love how they connect to each other in various ways. I love how the couples are fun & there's a lot of joy even when things get dark in the story lines.
Barracuda & Rayna are a good example of that. They're both grieving loved ones & dealing w/ the danger of the psychopath stalking them/the club. It takes a little bit to warm up to each other, but when they get over that hurdle... I just love them! And I love when the ol' ladies are over & everyone is cuddling on Willem. Big "Awww!" vibes! ; )
And the ending! The tease for the next book... As always, I'm like, "I want it now!" These books are awesome binge reads once the whole series is done because they play out like a movie or TV series.
Ohhhhhh Barracuda.
Barracuda and Rayna and sweet little Willem. Their story is one of loss , betrayal and heartbreak.
When one psycho takes his revenge and fails , another one steps up to the plate to hit a home run, fortunately for Barracuda and the boys this psycho didn't get the chance .
As much as I liked this book I felt bit was a bit rushed in places and would have liked there to have been more smouldering chemistry between Barracuda and Rayna.
But the old ladies brought their hilarity and the Men brought their whit and never ending charm. Which I very much liked . I'm looking forward to reading Jet's book though just when they think things will settle down Boom plot twist.
Even though he's dead, Barracuda and the Bastards STILL can't catch a break from all the crazy caused by Menace. This time Rayna's added into the mix and Barracuda has to make sure she's protected. Not much of a hardship if they can stop bickering. She's exactly what he needs to be able to move on and he's fighting it every step of the way. Barracuda is another fantastic addition to this Sacramento Chapter of the Royal Bastards MC. This series of books are at their best when you read them in order since the characters flow from one book to the next but, definitely not necessary, they can each stand on their own. Whatever you want, Sugar 😘
Barracuda is back! He's determined to keep those he cares about safe, already having lost three people he loved. Rayna is adjusting to being a mom to her dead best friend's newborn and is used to taking care of herself. Barracuda and Rayna butt heads a lot - both are stubborn and used to being the ones in charge. I love that Rayna quickly realized when to fight Barracuda and when to allow him to have his way. With Rayna's help Barracuda was finally able to put his guilt and demons to rest so he can start living again. Loved how Barracuda and Rayna just naturally gravitated to each other and slowly built a built an unbreakable bond.
Wow! This was a great read! I have been waiting patiently (maybe) for Barracuda's story and I loved every second of this book. He's been hit hard with loss over the years and yet his heart is still strong. I adored Rayna, she's stepped up so much and the way she clicks with Barracuda was great! The story has a great back and forth between all the characters. Moments that will twist your heart, moments to laugh, and of course, moments of heat! It's a great read in this much loved series and I'm on the edge, ready for the next book!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
At long last we finally have Barracuda's story and this man deserves nothing but colour in his life instead of all the darkness he has been suffering under. With a madman still after him and his club he still has his life on hold. However when Rayna and Willem enter his life and he places them under his protection, life doesn't seem so dark anymore. Their story is emotional, witty and action packed. Two people who have suffered enough sadness find strength in each other's arms to finally move on. A beautiful love story with just enough grit and action to have you on the edge of your seat. However this author doesn't disappoint with an ending that leaves you eager for the next book.
I have been waiting for this book to come out forever. Reading about him in her other books just built the anticipation for his story. Barracuda broke after suffering the loss of the woman he loved. He focused all his energy on finding the man who took it all away. Rayna, thrust in the role of mother, caring for her best friends son, trying to find his father only to find out he is gone as well. She is a strong woman trying to find her way and protect Willem. The chemistry between these two is hot! Their story is one of my favorites, so happy to Barracuda find love and family as well as peace. This is a must read!!!
For some reason I feel totally lost at the beginning of this book. When the last book ended it was Rayna showing up at the MC with a baby looking for Tank.
When this starts the enemy they had been looking for is dead by someone else's hand and they are facing more danger from one of his friends.
For someone who hadn't read the book when Menace was killed, if there is a book, why didn't we get some kind of explanation in this book besides that he was dead?
These books have been pretty short, not an issue, but the romance is so rushed it doesn't come across believable. One minute they are acting one way and then they are in love. I enjoy a more build up to the relationship. To rushed.
