3.5 Stars.
Have you ever read a book that is too much and too little at the same time? This is it. And unfortunately because it doesn't have that perfect balance that scratches my reading itch, I'll not be continuing with the other books in the series.
I've never met a billionaire in my life, but Kai didn't feel billionaire status. It was more of a really rich kid who manages a hedge fund, with his father, who he doesn't really have a great connection with.
When it comes to Kai+Raven, the pull was basically the fact that she was a "hidden beauty", she lived in the moment and that she really wasn't impressed by his wealth face to face, only when she Googled him.
Then we have Alejandro and Francisco added to the mix. The Latin+ Portuguese flavour to their pie. They at times felt like caricatures of characters. That being said, their final Halloween Night - Star room orgy/gangbang/reverse harem night, was hot, especially at the end when she gave in.
So, what do the guys get because she gave in? You see, I shouldn't have to read a book 2, that then gets dragged out to a book 3 where she will only be with Kai at the end, to figure this out.
All in all, it kept me interested when other books bored me last night, so it was an okay, just somewhat unfinished and dragged out story.
And almost forgot, because rich dick doesn't have diseases/doesn't get you pregnant and technically the pull out method has been in use forever, it was a free for all. Or am I killing the set up for an accidental pregnancy by book 3?

Hot, delicious and sensual a cold shower will be in order after reading this book. Shayne is showing a different side to her writing skills with Kai and Raven's story and it's my opinion that she has a huge hit on her hands and I for one can't wait to read the next book in this series.

When I started reading this book I was curious thinking whats gonna happen next...Kia, Raven Francisco and Alejandro were not what I was expecting and boy did they deliver mount vesuvius has nothing with the chemistry that was exploding all over the pages ..(fan self with ice yo) the ending though now that's what set the page literally on fire and my active imagination went thru the roof...shayne I need book 2 soon..

Oh Boy! Flipping AMAZING!
Flustered blushing and insatiable. Not what I was expecting but boy was I over the moon Happy...Excited...claw at the pages with my eyes poppin' laced with hunger, jaw hanging and lips where dry from all the gasps and deep breaths refusing to step away. It's hot, swoon worthy with endless intrigue. This story was amazing as it quickly pulled at the heartstrings has the perfect amount of suspense a wild jaw dropping twist that definitely captured my attention and continued to feed my sensual mind with hot yummy chemistry and a cliffhanger to die for that has me shivering in delight for MORE with questions of how the heck am I going to get a HEA the way this fantastic story is heading and the possibilities of what is in store for Raven. Yep, I'm in a and definitely need more.

The best of Everything!
When i started reading Kai and Ravens story. It immediately took me back to two other series, Night of the Kings, and Remi's story. So many nuances, that came to mind. The best of everything, is what we have. This series will be amazing

Holy Hallelujah, Batman!! I might be old but I'm not dead and Shayne can write sex scenes like nobody's business. I am 89% into this and the anticipation and chemistry are off the chart between Raven, Kai, and his two friends. I probably would get put in Amazon jail if I wrote anything more explicit, so I will have to add to this review when I finish reading it all. But I already want to read more. Finished, and her sex scenes are so erotic you almost feel like you are right there. Holy Heart Failure I can't wait for the next book to see what kind of direction Shayne will take us next. It deserves more than 5 stars.

When I first started the story several emotions went through me; curiosity, trepidation, anticipation. And then the storyline started moving a little quicker and my curiosity peaked a bit more as I tried to figure out the players that were being introduced. Nothing prepared me for Kai, Francisco, and Alejandro. Now I'm more than a bit intrigued and my mind is racing for motivation and outcome. This was an epic way to begin a series and I can't wait to see what Ms. Ford brings to the table next!!

It’s the start of a hot new series by Shayne Ford, so there’s a lot of world building and character development in the first half of this book, but that’s okay because Shayne is just laying down foundation of what is turning out to be one helluva hot and steamy romance series! I haven’t read a RH book in quite a while, so it was really great to revisit this genre and immerse myself into Raven’s world and her entanglement with Kai and his two gorgeous friends. The chemist between the characters is off the charts, and let me tell you… the closing scene to this first book is 💥💥🔥🔥🔥!!! A cold shower is a guaranteed must for sure! 😉

Raven, a café barista, meets Kai, a man of mystery, when he comes to the house across the street after her car stops on her. As the story progresses a different side appears, the coin toss leads to sharing, and getting to the root of the attraction could blow everything up. Shayne Ford takes the reader down a shadowed relationship path in When We Fall. Ms. Ford allows the female main character to choose the path to travel by tempting her with a scandalous neighbor.

Mother of pearl! What a Halloween party! The chemistry between the characters is out of the chart and I’m still having my jaw dropping with the vivid narrative of their meeting in the last chapter. I have said it on other occasions, this author has such a way with words, from the description of the places or the food to the steamy sex, everything is delicious in the book. Needless to say, I’m already stuck with the series, with a lot of unanswered questions regarding the plot, so I’m looking forward for the next one.

Hot and steamy play date for Raven who meets the new guy Kai who moves in across the street and they kind of hit it off and before she knows it they are talking intimately with each other and she finds out some things about him that shocks her but she wants to know everything about him and he wants the same just so happens he and his best friends are going to enter into a transaction that will shock and excite Raven all at the same time. The storyline is intriguing and the characters are exciting. Drama, suspense, adult content, cliffhanger. I read an ARC via BookFunnel without obligation. I volunteered an honest review.

WHEN WE FALL: A Billionaire Romance (LOVE YOUR ENEMY Book 1) by Shayne Ford. Another great start to a new tantalizing series with captivating characters that will leave you begging for more. Raven and Kai are neighbors- there are so many layers to both MC and we’ve only touched the surface so far. Crazy drama filled story with heavy heat, spice, and seriously HOT ending! This one ends on a cliff leaving this reader anxiously waiting for book 2 When We Love. I recommend this book and series to others. I was graciously given an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The story is scorching and intense with a slow rise in carnal attraction, trying to make sense of Raven and Kai's behaviour. It puzzled me both about Raven and Kai. The rest second part is therefore all the more expected

Anticipation is the name of this game. Kai knew he wanted Raven from the moment he met her. She just moved in next door and meets Kai, a positively gorgeous guy who is very interested in her. They talk, a lot, about what they expect from each other and what Raven is willing to try. Just the way they talk about it starts the anticipation. Your muscles will be tight as a drum while you’re reading this book, just waiting for something else to happen. And boy does it. Great series starter. Shayne Ford really knows how to write to keep you on the edge of your seat. Great.

This enticing read kicks off this new series in a utterly delicious fashion. I have to say that I am very intrigued by Raven and her just getting started story. If this book is anything to go by things are going to be intense, emotional, twisty and very, very hot! I'm not sure where we are going but I know it is going to be one not to be missed ride. Another fantastic story by Shayne Ford! She brings a cast of strong characters and weaves an intriguing story filled with suspense and enough twists to keep you turning the pages. A tantalizing steamy start!
A tantalizing steamy start to a new series! Not what I was expecting it was better! I thought this was all about Raven and Kai, but as the story comes alive we get a delightful surprise and it will have you craving for more. I can’t wait to see where this series is headed and am anticipating more delicious heat level that this author is known for and doesn’t disappoint.

What an ending! This book has some hot scenes and by hot I mean scorching. Shayne has always delivered in this arena. It took me a little time to settle into the book but I’ve already developed the desire to see Raven with one of the men. I wouldn’t be too disappointed if be one of the others. Bottom line is that I’m hooked. Can’t wait for the next book.

When we fall, I've already fell. This was not what I was expecting but boy am I excited. Shayne girl I knew you had it in you but not like this. This is smoking hot. Give me a lifeboat because when you read this you are going to need it. This is another hot romance with multiple people. Oh God let me be the one. I received an ARC of When We Fall. I love the book cover. I liked the characters, Kai, and Raven. I found the story line very interesting. She must make some decision about what she wants and can she handle what she wants. She is not experienced so what Kai offers/proposes is scary, and interesting. There are choices she must make. Should she or should she not? Read to find out!

Writing and plot? Not great. Spice? Ridiculously good soooo that’s what saved this book. Super short - felt very rushed but sheeeesh the last half of the book was a wild ride.

This is an amazing start to a new series. It is exceptionally enticing with explosive chemistry, vivid descriptions, and great main characters. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, knowing it will be as amazing as the first, if not better. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
