While I'm on my lowest late 2020, I found jcwritings (Janine Canono). Her work made me realize and think about a lot of things. The book is not just about love (like any other poetry books), it's about self worth, reality, and more. One of my favorite is this one:

My dear, it wasn't gone.
Your flame just needed time
to spark again.

In Here, Always is a book written for everyone who is in the process of transitioning from pain to healing and sadness to happiness, who is in the season of growth, and who can love a hundred times. This book catches me off guard as it brings me back into different moments of my life. Definitely a roller coaster of emotions. Kudos to Miss Janine Canono for bringing this book to life!

"A series of transitions in between love, happiness, pain, growth and healing." While reading this book you will experience some kilig & sadness- mixed emotions. Not an ordinary poetry book who only discuss about love, this book talk about, healing, self-worth & growth. This is highly recommended! 1000/10. Plus, the author is very approachable!!! Looking forward to her next books! 🤍🤍🤍

Talking about timing, I found this book during my lowest of the low back in the year 2020. I was broken and don't have any idea how to pull myself back again. While scrolling on Instagram, an AD of this book came. What really caught my attention at first, is the line art illustration on the book cover. Two women, holding hands, it's like...having someone to hold on to. Without hesitation, I decided to buy the book immediately. I finished the book in probably 2 hours (I'm quite a slow reader, hehe) because I'm digesting and processing every word written in this book. I was even shocked that this book contains everything that I've been keeping for a long time. And thank God, for letting me find this book. 'Cause truth to be told, I found my sanctuary in here.

This book contains more than just poetry and prose that the author has written. This book served as my healing. My daily reminder of how life is and how we can live it according to our own journey. Every page touches you, takes on a learning journey that each of us can truly relate. It helps you through your pain, understand the process of your personal growth, and remind you of how amazing you can be. Each page felt personal so I highly recommend this book and wish everyone to have their own copy. <3

This is a reminder that life is an inevitable ‘alloy’ of ins and outs or ups and downs - yet beauty is always present regardless of which. Thank you Janine for your soul all poured out in here, …always! ;) God bless the works of your hands!

This book was wonderful! I would have liked to name a few of my favorite parts, but I can't just quote a few, there are so many.

I would recommend this book to the lost adults and also to those who are not that much!

This was so beautifully written , every poem spoke to me in different ways. I don't really read poetry , after reading this i want to get more into reading poetry. This is something I need right now because I'm on a healing journey myself and reading these poems makes me feel less alone.

A blanket for the cold nights, the cure for frostbite. This book opens your eyes to reality yet is also able to keep the dreamer and idealist in you— a quietly powerful entity.
