So I've been gushing about this Quick Snips series since the first one I picked up. And for good reason, every single one I have read has been awesome. Being as how they are short novellas it's been a great experience to get exposure to new authors.

Ash and Brooks story was no different to the others. It was short, but it had more than enough contact to make it highly enjoyable. Their meet cute had me waiting to see how they were going to connect. And I really loved that they met and had to deal with the realities of Brooks' fame. It made it all very realistic and relatable.

The chemistry was super hot and they were so perfect together. Brooks had the whole ripped athlete persona that I love. And Ash was such a normal, everyday person, it was hard not to like her. I am so glad I picked this up and I can't wait to see what else this series has to offer.

In all honesty, if I had read this when I was in a mood more suited for this type of book I think this would have been a 3 star. But as it was I felt like I just didn't have the patience for this fairy tale type of story and it led it to be in a 2 star. And by fairy tale I don't mean glass slippers and singing birds, I mean it read like a YA novel where everything just falls into place and magically comes together. The famous guy falls for this unknown woman who doesn't even know he's famous, it's a well known storyline. And being such a short book it didn't leave much room to make this very unique so it was just a little too cliche for me. Especially the ending that didn't really resolve anything, it just made it seem like the hero and heroine decided to be together and all of the sudden that fixed every issue they had. It didn't really feel finished and instead the ending felt very rushed and against felt like one of those YA type endings where it doesn't give much indication that this couple is actually going to last. Even with the epilogue.

I just love it when a short story brings out all the smiles.
This was fast paced and cute story about two people who fell for each other the second they met.
It was flirtatious, funny and heartfelt and i absolutely loved every second of it.

I have just one problem with it; it was too short. I want and need more Brooks and Ashley in my life!

Brooks is not in the mood to be recognized while on his flight. Thank God his gorgeous seatmate is more interested in talking to him about Harry Potter than his fame as a football god. But when he deplanes, Ashley's nowhere in sight. No matter, a well timed Tweet is sure to find its way to her. Can this sweet, funny hotel manager and her sweet football jock make a go of it? In the face of the overwhelming presence of reporters intruding into her life?

Pick Six is a great introduction for me to the Quick Snap world. It's witty and fun and seriously sexy. If all football players were as sweet as Brooks, I think women would love football even more!

Pick this romantic novella and run with it!

I love novellas! Love them! Sometimes a change of pace is just what I need and nothing achieves that better than a couple of novellas. Some decent quick fire reads in between longer books and my batteries are recharged no end! SA Clayton is a new-to-me author, and I enjoyed her contribution to Kristen Proby’s ‘With Me in Seattle’ Universe and the Quick Snap Novella series very much.

I also have to admit that I love a good rags-to-riches story as well! Nothing like a normal hard-working young lady capturing the eye of an athletic superstar, hell a gorgeous sexy and ‘rich’ football superstar to boot, to get the heart pattering away and a decent swoon-on happening!

Ashley’s best friend Daisy is her biggest cheerleader, and I hesitate to say that she’s a pretty important part of this story. Ashley has worked hard to overcome a difficult childhood and start in life. She also doesn’t see her own beauty or value, even though to Brooks, she is one of the most gorgeous women he has ever seen. When it was needed, Daisy was there to kick some Ashley butt and I just loved her.

Brooks isn’t the big ego owning dumb jock that Ashley thought he’d be, and I really liked the initial love and excitement for the game that he retained. This guy was a class act, never forgetting the grass roots football that he’d come from. It is no wonder that the down to earth work ethic, and the fact that she doesn’t follow football and didn’t recognise him or his wealth, was like catnip to a feline for him!

There was everything to love in this quick fire swoony romance from SA Clayton, and I have to say that it deserves 4.5 novella stars 🏈

-- Read this review, and others, on my blog at www.hookedbythatbook.com --

Brooks is the most recognizable face in football, and he lives for the quiet moments before someone notices him and asks for a picture. So, when Ashley sits down next to him on the plane, and doesn’t even bat an eye at his public identity, he was immediately intrigued. Her looks also appealed to him, as well as her personality, as they spend time talking on the plane.

It was an intense, emotional trip with these two. They got hot and heavy very fast, and also fell very fast with each other. They only had a couple of days together before Brooks’s life in the public eye interfered in a big way, and Ashley had a very hard time dealing with it.

I enjoyed these two. My biggest complaint would be that it is so short. I would have enjoyed more of their story. This feels like it was a condensed version of what would be a great full-length novel.

Thank you to Lady Boss Press and the author for providing me with an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Brooks just sometimes wants his life to be normal, on the flight he wasn’t expecting to be sitting next to Ashley who has no clue who he is or the electricity of their handshake.
She’s adorable, sassy and a relief form the normal women that throw themselves at him.
Ashley never expected to hear from Brooks again, but a simple Tweet changed all that, and she finds herself messaging him, and agreeing to see him. Brooks says all the right things, but did she meet the real Brooks, the one she couldn’t forget from the plane or she making a mistake.
Brooks can’t believe he found Ashley, although she’s shy at first, the girl from the plane comes out, he loves that she didn’t know who he was and doesn’t care, but can she survive in his world.

5 Stars!

I'm not new to S.A. Clayton and I gotta say folks, she knows how to write a fun, sexy, steamy quick, little novella that will sweep you off your feet and leave your heart on your sleeve. This new romance is a part of the QUICK SNAP NOVELLAS COLLECTION and I simply couldn't get enough.

In Pick Six, we have Ashley and Brooks. From the moment these two meet on a plane, nothing will ever be the same. And one tweet will set their lives on a course that neither could have ever predicted.

Loads of heat. Undeniable chemistry. Great banter. You won't be able to put this beatuty down once you start.

I highly recommend this hot, quick little romance.

I loved this book soooo much! I love S.A.'s writing and her stories!

I loved Ash and Brooks' story so much!!

From the way they met, to their whole story. It was so well written, I couldn't get enough of it and I wanted more. I LOVED IT!!!

From them meeting, the TWEET that went out to the whole world, and how they continued their relationship. I was def cheering for them to make it work.

Thank you S.A. for sharing this story with me and with the world!

Some of my fave quotes:
1. It's not the connection I'm worried about, it's the idea of being murdered that bothers me. - ROFL!!!
2. "If I didn't eat meat, I'd stave." - Me too Ash. Me too!

The beginning was cute! They sit next to each other on the plane because she got upgraded to first class. They talk about harry potter for two sentences and he's got a raging boner. Okur.

They disembark from the plane and a kid asking for a picture distracts him from talking to her again so he goes on Twitter asking for her prince charming from Cinderella style....without the shoe. Veryyyyyyy romantic.

Then its all a rush of "can I kiss you?" Passive asking Instead of taking and "boy, I don't fuck on the first date even though I want to" BS. Then they're super in love and hea.

It was aite 🤷 too short and perfect 😂

I'm not a lover of sports romance, you've never met anyone less interested in sports LOL. But I have enjoyed the author's other books so decided to give it a go! I was not disappointed. It's very light on sports and more centred on the characters themselves thankfully. I only had to look up a couple of sporting analogies!

Brooks might be a top-notch footballer but he just wants to fly under the radar and have a normal-ish life. He loves meeting his fans but could do without the paparazzi. When the female next to him has no clue who he is, he's enthralled. She is a breath of fresh air. But when he doesn't get her contact details he has no idea how to find her until he takes to social media! Time to use it for some positivity.

Ashley just thought the guy next to her was sweet and hot! She never expected to find herself beoming a trend on twitter! Goaded by her friend into replying to Brooks, she finds herself wrapped up in a whirlwind. She really likes this guy but the whole paparazzi thing is upsetting her even keel.

I really liked Brooks. He's a great mix of football superstar, the sweet guy next door, and just down to earth really. His best friend works in the stadium as security! Ashley may be naive when it comes to all things sports but she is no dummy. She knows what she wants but is she strong enough to go for it with all the added circus that comes with Brooks, through no fault of his own?

Sports romance light, great characters, brilliant meet-cute, and short and snappy story arc. Brilliant read to fill a lunch hour or so.

The Plane Girl & The Footballer

PICK SIX is sports romance at its best. From the very first page it was such a fun and enjoyable read. He's a famous footballer, she's a hotel manager, two people meeting on a plane while traveling home. A plane trip that is about to change everything for Brooks Davis and Ashley Wilson.

Brooks is a famous footballer who values his privacy and just wants to live a 'normal' life. Although he would do anything for his fans, it's the reporters and the paparazzi who he detests. Imagine his surprise when the woman sitting next to him has no idea who he is. She captures his attention and wants to know more about her. Failing to obtain her contact details during the flight, he turns to social media for some help.

Ashley was definitely attracted to the man sitting next to her ... he's sexy, good looking and has a great sense of humour. He even likes Harry Potter. Can you imagine her reaction when she finds out who he actually is, and the fact that he's looking for her on social media? Ashley's world is about to be turned upside down ... is Brooks worth all the pain?

From the first page this is such an entertaining story to read. It was a sweet, sexy, light-hearted reading that had me thoroughly enchanted. It was everything I have come to expect from Ms Clayton. So if you're looking for a light quick read PICK SIX is the one for you.

Pick Six is my first dip into the world of the ‘Quick Snap Novella Collection’ and I just loved it! S.A Clayton has written a really great Novella one which was crammed with everything you would expect in a full length book - swoon worthy, sizzling feel good story that would take some time in a full length book to get too. My only issue? I just wanted more of Ashley and Brooks. This is one story I will keep to hand when I need a pick me up from a bad day.

A chance meeting on a plane and Brooks is smitten with the girl who sits next to him on a plane. When Ashley disappears at the airport the only way he can find her is by the power of Twitter – only trouble is while Brooks as star player for Seattle and his posts get seen by millions it is not that easy for Ashley. Beautiful quite Ashley hasn’t had an easy up brining but now running a hotel she has found where she needs to be. But one look at the handsome man on the plane and she is thrown into a loop. Not knowing who Brooks is she is surprised when he tries to find her.

But will the limelight be just to much for Shy Ashley

Brooks is a successful football player who loves his career but could do without being a celebrity. On a flight home from visiting his parents all he is hoping is that his seatmate doesn’t recognize who he is. He wasn’t expecting her to be so beautiful or that they would bond over Harry Potter however she was gone before they could exchange contact info and now he just needs to find her.

Ashley was attracted to her seatmate, but she never expected to see him again or that he would draw such rabid media attention. She is enchanted by the man but handling the other aspects of his life could be the biggest challenge of all.

The chemistry between them was off the charts, their interactions are humorous, but it is the way they put each other’s needs first that make their relationship so special.

I have never read a book in Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle Universe but when I saw this author had a novella in that world I snapped it up quick. I don’t normally like sports romances but when certain authors write them you have to take a chance on them. Brooks is a famous football player with adoring fans and paparazzi that hound him it is a breath of fresh air when he gets on a plane and sits next to Ashley who doesn’t have a clue who he is. Ashley really likes the sexy, funny and Potter fan sitting next to her on the plane. The part ways and it comes as a shock to Ashley to find out who he is and that he has taken to social media to track her down. Will he be worth all of the upheaval he causes in her life?

I was pulled right into this super short story. The story has laughs, secrets, and heartbreak.

This is Ashley and Brooks‘s story. These two meet on a plane and he is instantly smitten. When she is gone almost as soon as they land he decides that he has to find her. One twitter post later and he knows who she is. After all he has a ton of fans and they come through for him. Issue is Ashley is super shy and he is high profile. Can they make something work?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

Pick Six is a short quick read. It's part of the Quick Snap Novella Collection and they all can be read as standalones. This one was a cute sweet read. Ashley and Brooks meet on a plane. Brooks is a successful football player. Ashley has no idea who he is. She's a down to earth girl. They leave the plane with no way to contact each other but Brooks tweets about finding her and he does find her. These two are sweet and nice together but Ashley didn't sign up for the craziness that comes with dating a football star. so that causes a bum in the relationship path for them. I really enjoyed this one.

The one thing i loved about novella type stories is that we get right to the story and get the instant connection and Pick Six is no exception

I really like Brooks he wasn’t your normal jock and i really liked how intense he was from the start. I also loved Ashley she was also a great character that just wasn’t ready for what Brooks’s fame was going to being to her life.

I just loved how this was a quick but full of chemistry and spark and steamy loved every bit of it. If your love a quick sharp book this is a fantastic story

Ashley is the manager of an inn, and Brooks is a professional football player. These two ends up sitting next to each other on a plane, and Brooks finds it a refreshing change that Ashley had no clue who he is. Having not exchanges contact details Ashley sees a tweet which changes her life forever. This is a well written fast paced read, which is filled with witty banter, and is heartfelt, and a flirtatious and humorous tale. I was enthralled throughout, and I highly recommend for all readers.

I enjoyed this one. It's a quick enjoyable read that can be read in one sitting. I instantly liked Ashley and Brooks. I mean how can you go wrong with someone bonding over Harry Potter. They have an easy connection that they both take a chance on, but Brooks' celebrity could be a big road block. I can say Brooks is a gentleman and you see it several times in this book. This book also delivers on the heat. The chemistry burns hot between Brooks and Ashley.

I thoroughly enjoyed Pick Six! Although a short read (too short, in my opinion) it had everything and was addictive.

This book is full of insta-love with plenty of steam. Oh, and drama! Cannot forget about the drama.

It was sugar and spice and everything nice. I loved it! A new author for me to check out.
