never thought I'd find a isekai story where the main character isn't overpowered and is extremely well balanced. and characters that would will love and you'll be upset when they die. I look forward to reading more
What in the world!? This is exactly what I needed. I feel like this is such an underrated adventure and work of art. The characters are amazingly done, the challenges and enemy mobs are entertaining, and the game itself is thoroughly thought through. I love the mechanics! Also, Bjorn is so beautifully balanced as a character — he’s extremely refreshing! I also found myself literally laughing out loud at some of the interactions along the way. :,)
I first read the webtoon version of this story. The webtoon itself was great, the world building were top notch and the tension and the plot twist just wrung your heart out. There were no other story that featured this much complexity on the game mechanics itself. Not to mention the extra complication of trying to navigate another world's society and politics while trying to hide your identity at the same time.
Sadly the webtoon have only just adapted about half of the first book. While I enjoyed reading the web novel I hoped the webtoon team will continue the next season soon so I can see all the awesome monsters and dungeons and the gut wrenching fights described in the web novel.
Plot armor, what plot armor? Grasps the true horror of being plunged into mosts RPGs the internal struggles, the pretending, Hans... It's amazing, no OP protagonist just one man trying to survive.
Korean webtoons are a new genre for me, but this one will stick with me I am sure. The art is amazing and the story is fun and has enough depth and world building to suck you in.
