I have been writing as long as I can remember. I always knew I wanted to write books that someday many people could enjoy. I have a BA in English, a Masters in Business Administration and Marketing, and a Master's in Education.

I enjoy reading as much as I do writing and learned a lot while I was in school about the different forms of literature and the different genres all throughout the world. I only hope that people enjoy my books as much as I've enjoyed reading theirs.

When I'm not reading or writing I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks or hiking, being outdoors, horseback riding, and watching movies.

I am so excited to share this with all you, reader friends! It is the third and final chapter in my zombie trilogy. It's also the first time I have published an entire series! I can now check that off my author bucket list. I started writing the Dead Soil series in 2015 after I had my first and only child, my daughter. I was a stay at home mom and loved to write in my spare time while she was napping. I really grew as a writer with this series. The genre is zombie horror, but it's so much more than that. It follows many different characters from many different backgrounds. I didn't want to make characters who were already professional assassins and great marksmen, but characters that would be more like me, struggling and fumbling their way through survival with zombies always on their tail. Some try to fortify their apartment complex to isolate themselves from the world while others are out there, living in the elements, believing having the space to run is what gives you the upper hand. In Dead Soil each chapter bounces back and forth between the two until they come together in the end with a new mission, one more important than just to survive another day, the mission of bringing about the end of the zombie apocalypse with a cure. Christine believes her dead fiancé's journal holds the key and there's rumors of a working lab in downtown Chicago. Together with her best friend Zack, she makes her way there to see if she can help save humanity from destruction, but of course nothing goes as planned in a world full of zombies. I really hope you enjoy this last book in my zombie trilogy, Dead Soil! It's sad to say goodbye to these characters, but who knows? Maybe one or two will make an appearance in my novella spin offs.

This is the third book in the series and I can honestly say that I loved this book! There was so much going on with lots of action and suspense that kept my interest. There were some really sad and emotional moments, but without them the jeopardy of the story wouldn't have been the same.

Just like the first two it was well written and thought out. You could really imagine going through what the characters went through should a zombie apocalypse ever happen! The characters all had something to add to the story and the settings really highlighted the situations that the characters found themselves in.

I definitely recommend giving this series a go!

Christine and Zack make their way to Chicago where there is a lab working on a cure for the zombie virus. I don’t think Christine trust Liam’s journal which contains the cure or a vaccine for the virus to anyone else. She has to be the one who takes the journal to Chicago.

But on the other hand, she may just not want to risk anyone’s life. I mean the trip there will be hard with all the undead roaming around. When tragedy strikes a member of their group on the way to Chicago the race is on to get the cure in the right hands before it is too late.

In a zombie apocalypse, the undead is not the only thing Christine, Zack, and their friends have to worry about. No, the living can be a hassle to deal with as well. I mean you would think that in a zombie apocalypse it would be humans against zombies only but good people are not the only humans to have survived.

No there are some real bad living folks running around out there that just want to take from someone else instead of finding their own. They need to feel in control one way or another. Besides they don’t want to get their hands dirty so to speak cleaning out a warm, safe place. That would definitely be way too much hard work, right? They want to be in control of everything and everyone.

When I was reading Dead World I could see each and every character in my mind fighting zombies and humans alike. I could see each and every scene playing out as if I was right there submersed in the action of it all. I love zombie stories and I sorely hate that I have read the last book in the Dead Soil Trilogy. I can’t wait to check out more of Alex Apostol’s books.

Now the time has come for me to recommend Dead World to all those zombie fans out there. Oh, and I highly recommend Dead World. I would also recommend the first two books in the Dead Soil Trilogy as well. I do recommend reading them in order. So now I recommend that you one-click your copy of Dead Soil, Dead Road, and Dead World today for a great zombie adventure!

It’s the end of the series with Christine and Zack trying to get Liam’s journal to scientists who could create a cure. The small group that journeyed together though all of this finally found a safe home in a bunker underground. But it isn’t always going to be safe. Not when there’s people out there willing to kill just to survive.

Zach and Christine struggle to help the scientists find test subjects for the cure they’re developing. The cure they need to save Gretchen, Christine’s sister and the love of Zack’s life.

This book was filled with endless action, suspense, and sadness. The loss of many favorite characters made me sob. But in an apocalypse, there’s going to be a lot of loss.

The story was made well and it was very descriptive. I loved the little toss of Christine struggling with her mental health after she loses her fiancé. It felt realistic.

The ending was bittersweet. It wasn’t the end of the apocalypse but it was the end of the groups journey. There’s still hopes of a cure that would be permanent. And honestly, I wish there was more so I could see everyone being cured and living happily ever after.

I can’t really mention any characters from Dead Soil here without making this a total spoiler. I’ll just say that this is the third novel in the series and it follows surviving members of the prior books with the addition of some fresh characters in a continued quest to stay alive long enough to find a cure for the zombie virus, and once again, it ain’t pretty!

Dead World is a worthy conclusion to the series. The story moves forward and the characters continue to evolve and grow. I love how relationships have developed and new situations test the characters in different ways. It’s an engrossing novel with more of that terrifying zombie action and ever present tension. Overall a really good zombie story that kept the pages turning.

Holy smokes! This was such a good read. If you're a fan of zombies, you'll love this series! This book has everything from action, to suspense, to heartbreak. Oh, and a bit of gore, of course!

The author delivers an amazing representation of what surviving in a dying world plagued by the undead might look like. The characters are not only realistic, but they're relatable. Many of them are put in scenarios that had me wondering what I would do in their situation.

The Dead Soil trilogy is definitely one I recommend and I was not ready for it to end. I still have questions! Alex Apostol did an amazing job and I'll be checking out more of her books after this!

This is a great read and a good ending to the trilogy. It has everything a zombie apocalypse needs - suspense, action, drama, and a little gore. It is not as gore filled as a lot of zombie books, but it does have just enough. I will be looking for more books by Alex Apostol.
I received a copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

My word this book was breathtakingly scary and I loved every minute of it. The words and storyline created such a reality that seemed so real and relatable to the reader because of who real it became on the page. Alex Apostol really did a great job writing this book.
