Why: Sexual Abuse and Pornography - Daily Battles That Can Cause a Lifetime of War

Rate this book
Exposure to pornography at a very young age and sexual abuse when I was 14 years old, made my life hell. Quite frankly it ruined my whole life. I lived with daily battles that created a war within my soul. This torment lasted until I was 40 years old. I could no longer live with the trauma, the pain and suffering, emanating from my childhood events, I needed help. Just like many adults and children do too.Don’t we all have a story? Some stories are more attractive than others. This is my story. It is real, authentic, and raw.So many ask the question, Why? Not all our why’s have clear answers. And often, we never get an answer. Why adults stay stuck in early childhood trauma? Why pornography will ruin your child’s life? Why do children need early intervention from trauma? Why are parents blind to see the warning signs from trauma? Why is a safe environment so important for a child to develop? Why can the trauma of sexual abuse last a lifetime? Why does Jesus care? Many of your why’s will be answered through reading my life story mirrored with that of the Israelites. A story that is used multiple times in history to display Slavery and Freedom. It is a story that would help people to find true freedom, a story that will point you to the Truth. It is a story of wandering through the wilderness as a slave, with addictions, pain, and suffering. Addictions that are not easily spoken about, and that are not easily resolved.Freedom that I so desperately longed for.Freedom I found. The same Freedom that can be yours too.

Important to acknowledge the trauma of sexual abuse

Why is our society priming our kids? Why are kids being visually exposed to sex everywhere they look? Kids are exposed thru movies, media, social media and direct contact of silhouette images of skin gripping costumes on seemingly perfect physiques.

Why are kids exposed to clothes in the stores that reveal shorter than shorts, skirts and tops that show more skin than they cover?

Why is our society and world driving a sex crazed, sexually addicted perverted society starting as early as the eyes can see.

Did anyone think about the long term consequences? The effects on mental health, stability, personal identity and ability to maintain healthy relationships including their own future families?

Carmen discusses a very real thing- a very problem growing in size. She takes the reader on a journey of an internal struggle of the aftermath of being a victim of sexual abuse and unprotected exposure at a young age. Exposure and abuse that our society may dismiss as “normal” “ insignificant “ or even encouraged!

There is a very real problem growing in size and no one is talking about the after effects these kids will carry with them for decades.

There is a real enemy and we are willingly sacrificing our kids to the enemy. The thief comes only to lie, steal and destroy.
(John 10:10).

Why is someone not talking about the imprint and scars that are being left behind on these young impressionable, moldable young palettes?

When you read it be aware and watchful as to what you allow your kids to see, read, watch. Protect them daily cover them in prayers.

I recommend this book! It is needed to open people’s eyes to the sexual priming, and abuse our kids are being handed down. The future of our families, our society and world is being scarred and set up for failure before it even starts.
