And the battle moves on

Action and emotion with a little magic thrown in.

Things are changing but who are the good guys? This book sets more in motion than it answers to be fair. But it's an excellent read. You must read this in order otherwise it will make little sense.
Highly highly worth reading the whole series, cannot recommend enough!

Ms. Raventhorne brought her "A Game" to this book in her Roxie's Midlife Adventures series. Roxie and her team must confront old adversaries, accept new creatures into her estate and grow both personally and as a witch. I was pulled in from the first page and hated to put it down when real life intervened as it often happens. I absolutely loved seeing Jake become so much more in this book. I admit that I was left with questions at the end of this book that I hope will be answered in the next book. Adventure, magical warfare, and plenty of twists kept me turning the pages.

The house is getting full!

So many things happen in this book! Roxie and her crew kick butt like they always do, the kits are growing, and we meet some new friends and see some old ones. Very good book, and I can't wait for the next one! Kit Number Five is very special, and I can't wait to see all she'll be able to do!

Uncertain but willing to go with it for now

I hope the author follows this up quickly. And that’s not crazy book addict talk jonesing for a new book. I am not sure how I feel about the changes to Roxie at the end of this book because I severely dislike overpowered MCs and that’s where we are. Honestly I could go either way: continue to read or just stop. The faster the next book comes out the more likely I will be to read.

Another reason I am hesitant to keep reading is because the cast of characters is getting unwieldy. I keep having to stop to remember who this person or that person is. There isn’t enough time to spend getting to know the new characters well at all so they are shallow and easily forgotten.

Plus major events, like Roxie seeing her mom and dad again have been diverted. I feel the story has gotten to big too fast and I don’t think the author is going to be able to keep track of it all in a meaningful way.

Although I may continue reading for #5. We’ll see.

Boring. When I realized how boring it was, I started skipping pages. I wanted to know the story, but the "action" part became plodding. Towards the end of the action, it appears the author recognized the plodding and used a plot device to summarize the remaining event.Thank goodness. Then, she added a summary of a novella that she chose not to write. The last 20 pages were chocked full of interesting stuff. It's too bad the author didn't scrap what she'd written and reworked it. Also, this series could use a list of characters with their place in this world, because I was clueless. I initially went to previous books to find them, but that was too much trouble. Sorry; I liked the first few books, but I'm not sure I care enough about the story (only #5 is interesting at this point) to read another installment.

The entire series is awesome!

I loved this series because the characters are not your typical paranormal types. There are really cool variations, it’s very well written, funny sometimes, and kind of a tear jerker sometimes too. I really look forward to reading more about Roxie and her “people”.

What an ending to the first 6 books; WOW. I can hardly wait for the next installments. I won't go into any of the story line. You'll want to read these books for yourself; plus there's enough tidbits on goodread to tease your appetite.

I love the characters and the world Leigh has created. What an imagination. Well written.
