Rate this book
Amari has been struggling with self-acceptance since he was eight years old. The day his mother was murdered changed his life forever.

After being adopted into a new pack and faced with regrets about that incident, Amari falls into a spiral of bad habits, self loathing and broken depression. He refuses to let anyone into the cold walls he's built around his heart.

Further more, Amari blames his omega wolf for their inability to protect their mother. Suppressing your wolf can be dangerous and Amari has been doing so for ten years, posing as a dominant wolf to the pack.

What happens when he finds out he's mated to the alpha? Luka isn't going to allow Amari to continue his life of lies any longer. But will his attempts to fix his mate only push Amari over the edge? What happens when a ghost from the past comes back and flips the playing table?

Omega's Broken Soul
By LavenderLoverXOXO

Amari is an 18 year old omega hiding in plain sight as a beta. He's built up his body through rigorous training and has an aggressive personality to deal with the anger about his past. In reality Amari is still a lost little boy who blames himself for his mother's murder at the hands of his father. He blames his wolf, Raven, even more for being weak and hiding everytime Amari needs his help.

When Alpha Luka's father, Nick, saved Amari as a child and took him in raising him as his son he also became Luka's stepbrother. Growing up Luka spent most of his time getting in trouble with friends and didn't pay much attention to Amari. Amari on the other hand had no friends and spent most of his time training to protect himself so he could never again be abused.

When Luka discovers Amari is really an Omega (among other things) he refuses to allow him to hide who and what he really is. Luka wants Amari to take pride in who he is and his fighting abilities.

I absolutely loved this book! I love both Amari and Luka. Luka is an amazing alpha and mate to Amari and knows exactly what Amari needs each time a new crises arises in his life. This book was funny, sassy, loving, very angsty at times and even had some anger. It does have some submissive/dominant personalities. (On the light side.)

The book is mostly in Amari's POV, but some is in Luka's as well as Nick's and other misc characters.

I absolutely love how this book handles processing trauma. This is why I am an avid rereader. I learn something new each time. The humor is added in all the right spots and you see all the mishaps and mistakes that caused and prolonged a lot of issues that seem easily solvable from the outside looking in but not while in the thick of it. I find this story to be heartwarming because despite the obstacles and anger/frustration/resentment with one character, even that character pushes forward in their healing. This book shows that accountability is key even for those who are abused because that helps them regain their power and feel less helpless. IMO that is. It’s a good read.
