Morgen Keller’s life has been chaotic since she inherited her grandmother’s old house—and her legacy as a witch.

Werewolves regularly attack her, familiars spy on her, and enemies she didn’t ask for keep lighting her property on fire.

Through everything, she’s been fortunate to have one steadfast ally: Amar.

The lone werewolf is a fearsome fighter, a loyal protector, and he’s sexy in nothing but a magical talisman.

Just as Morgen and Amar overcome most of her problems and officially start dating, trouble from his past arrives in town. The powerful enemy who long ago slew his parents has come to finish off the family.

As strong as Amar is, he may not be able to handle his old nemesis alone. But will he let Morgen help? And is it within her fledgling power as a witch to do so?

Things are finally starting to heat up between Morgen and Amar...well, they would be heating up if they didn't keep getting interrupted. Honestly, between unexpected coven meetings (that end up at Morgen's house because she doesn't quite know how to say no), a blast from Amar's past with murderous intent, and just dangerous goings on in general, these two get blocked from having the sexy times more than is probably healthy.

To be fair, going up against a super-powered enemy who has his hate on for Amar is probably not all they healthy either, but these two are doing it. Also to be fair, Amar isn't thrilled that Morgen is willing to throw herself in the middle of his battle. Or, I guess, he's extremely concerned that she'll become even more of a target because of his growing feelings for her. Morgen isn't the type to sit idly by when people she cares about are being menaced, though, so she forges on despite the danger.

Anywho. Tensions are still high between the witches and the werewolves, but Morgen's working to change things for the better. It is slow work, mind you, but she's determined to show that her wolves (she really can't speak for the others, can she?) aren't the vicious creatures the witches see them as. As for the witches...well, I'm not the biggest fan of them (werewolves! Yes!), but they are weeding out the intolerant ones slowly, but surely.

A little danger, a lot of banter, more than a few romantic moments that are stopped before they get going, and the potential for change in the future. You know, after Morgen figures out how to pay her tax bill and make a living and all that. *thumbs up*

Another fun book in this series! I like Morgan and Amar, but Sian (Morgan's sister) may be my favorite character! She reminds me of Dr. Lenox (character on Chicago Med) whenever I hear her speak and I see the expressions that Dr. Lenox has on Med!

This book was another villain to conquer, but it was an outsider/someone from the past so not as exciting as when the witches and werewolves were fighting each other. He was creepy and put up a good fight!

Amar makes furniture and has been making pet furniture for the witches' familiars. When Amar told Morgan that she was pimping him out for Cat furniture, I lost it! Too funny.

Even some of the witches that were not nice at the start of the series are growing on me.

Looking forward to the last book in this series.

I like this series and continued with book 4. Moment of Tooth introduces a new enemy, an enemy from Amar's past who has come to find him and is causing trouble. It felt the first three books had the same main plot line with witches causing trouble and it was interesting to see this book take a different direction than the previous books. Although I did find the enemy a bit less interesting as he's just pure evil and likes killing and that's why he kills.

The story kept me engaged and wanted to find out how Morgan and Amar would deal with this new threat. It was interesting to see Morgan interact with some more of the witches now that she's part of the coven. There's also more of the werewolves. And Morgan's sister Shaun is still there as well. Besides the main plot line there are some side plot lines as well, with someone who is after Morgan's book and some special trees Morgan notices on her hikes through Wolfwood. I liked seeing how everything got wrapped at the end. The epilogue was great and I like getting a glimpse of what is next for them.

This book also progresses the romance. Morgan and Amar are growing closer and I liked how their romance deepens in this book. I also thought the plot line with Amar creating pet furniture was a fun one. I like Morgan and Amar as a couple and how they really feel like a couple in this book. I enjoyed seeing them work together to take down the threat.

To summarize: Another great book in this series. I liked how the world building gets expanded and the plot takes a different direction with a new threat emerging. I was curious to see how Morgan and Amar would deal with this new enemy and I enjoyed seeing how they work together to deal with things. There is more of the witches and werewolves and I like seeing things change slowly with the witches being more accepting of Morgan now that she joined their coven. I also like how Morgan and Amar grow closer and really feel like a couple in this book. I like reading about them and seeing them work together to deal with things. I enjoyed listening to this book and look forward to the next one.

This series continues to be entertaining and has further developed the world with each installment. There was a meaningful and non-gratuitous intimate scene that I skipped over but I’m just glad that the previous three installments didn’t have any. Overall I’m going to finish my binge with the next/last? story.

Once again a charming, lovely story by Lindsay Buroker. Quirky characters, clever banter and powerful women. Add in some love interest and danger, stir in a cauldron and then you this most enjoyable boo!

Okay, it’s official, this is my favourite instalment thus far - here’s hoping Book 5 will be even better!

I can’t entirely pinpoint what it was but this just had a different tone about it. I actually didn’t mind Morgen or Amar, in fact, I found them incredibly cute together.

I really wish there was such a thing as witchcraft... and not to be able to do spells, but to have a familiar like Napoleon (a ferret). He is so cute and overly dramatic.

The series is staying strong, mainly due to the characters I've gotten hooked on. Finally we get more worthy witch moments, too - Ute was an absolute hoot, especially in the forest; Wendy remains adorable with her ferret Neopolitan (love the backstory of how he came to be her familiar); Phoebe - who was hit or miss for me - is now a hit again; even Bernadette gets shiny new page scenes. Unlike the last book, Amar and Morgan are now not uncertain of their relationship. We get oodles of fun Sian times and the drop-ins with a certain dreamy vet. The villain was genuinely ick and kept the pacing going. Really I could have kept reading on the antics of the characters interacting and been entertained enough without a main storyline arc/villain.

Attention grabbing and well written

The series overall has good character development, and the plot is interesting. It was refreshing to find a book about supernatural creatures that has a fresh spin on things.

This continues to be a light, fun fantasy read... but some of the ethics involved are uncomfortable and concerning if you think about them too hard. Rant ahead: I really wish that Buroker hadn’t chosen to address sexual assault in this series, because she clearly doesn’t want to actually address it.

Morgen and Amar finally get it on

This is the fourth instalment in Lindsay Buroker’s quirky A Witch in Wolf Wood series and I am happy to report that after a prolonged period of deferred gratification Morgen and Amar finally get it on, though not without having to surmount quite a few difficulties.

This series is not as fast-paced and on-the-edge-of-your-seat exciting as some of her other series, but more sedate and with a less involved plot, almost kind of soothing. This is not to say that the story is not very engaging, quite the opposite actually. I like that the main protagonists are not in the first blush of youth and have to deal with mundane problems like tax accessors and how to find privacy to conduct their trysts.
After having successfully dealt with banishing a demon and ridding the community of a couple of wicked witches, Morgen and Amar are finally at a point were they can concentrate on their relationship. Things are seemingly going well, until an old enemy from Amar’s past surfaces. It takes all of Morgen’s new-found knowledge and skill and the help of the local coven working together with the wolves to banish this creature with threatens their whole community.

Over the past year this #PWF series has become my comfort read and I have been awaiting each new instalment eagerly. I was especially pleased that Lindsay Buroker decided to expand the story beyond the initially planned trilogy, though the next book is reportedly going to be the final one.

This series is just a quick, fun listen for me. This book has an enemy from the past of Amar's that shows up. As Morgen and Amar figure out their relationship, Morgen's determined to help Amar with this terrible foe.

This book is Morgen and Amar trying to find time together. There's a lot happening at the house, remodeling being done the wolves arrive with news of searching for Amar's enemy and the witches now looking to hold meetings at her home. So finding private time is a bit difficult.

All the stumble blocks do give Morgen to meet others and make more friends, or to be friends, with some of the witches. And her hot tub is an attraction for the pack and even witches.

Morgen's sister comes to stay for a time! Sian is a little more quirky then Morgen. She has her set ways and it's hard to divert from them. But Sian finds a friend in the local vet.

Morgen learns more about her grandmothers land, now her land. There's a secret that she feels will help with the enemy that's hunting Amar and the pack. (I have a feeling there's lots of secrets with this land that Morgen hasn't found yet.)

Nice story of coming together and moving forward. But we also have a new struggle for Morgen. The property taxes. That's touched on here and will be something she'll have to figure out how to pay, in the near future.

I listened to the audiobook on this one as well. The narrator is clear and clean, but I still had to speed it up so the characters didn't feel like they were dragging in talking. Also, Amar sounded better with the speed and he's speaking a lot more.

I tried so hard. I really did. You have to understand that I adore Lindsay Buroker (as a reader, I’ve never actually met the lady) and have addictively read everything she produced to date. Or so I thought. Then I found out about a whole dang series (A Witch in Wolf Wood) that I had not read! Of course I grabbed book 1, Mind Over Magic, but I promised myself that I’d pace myself. Well, darn it, I totally failed. It’s just that book 1 was soooo good (I mean how could someone not love Morgan and how she handled all she went through) that, of course, I couldn’t wait to turn to Spell Hound (Book 2). That proved pretty irresistible (Amar: *sigh*) that, of course (again!) I couldn’t resist turning to Any Witch Way (Book 3),which was so delicious that of course I turned to Book 4, Moment of Tooth. Luckily I had a whole weekend and sleep is a highly overrated thing (no matter what my husband says - he just didn’t understand!). Anyway, the bottom line here is easy: outright perfection. Perfect characters, perfect plots and overarching story arc, perfect world-building, perfect writing and - most definitely - perfect fun. I not surprising (perfectly, of course) happy to highly recommend each of these books.

I like the author yet found the series a bit of a slow read! Less dialogue more action?? 4 BOOKS TO CONSUMMATE THEIR RELATIONSHIP !!!! REALLY !! YOU DO GET INTERRUPTED, HOWEVER NOT EVERY TIME !! End of book 1 or during book 2, would have made more sense. This is a 5 star book except for the "What NO SEX AGAIN, twice !!! Nora evil archtype got killed off early in the series. Cool that worked good. Calista, though scary, I felt was too shadowy, ( maybe more backstory would have helped?) Olivia nailed the evil archtype. Wendy and the Dr are cool characters. The total Introvert sister, tough character, author did a good job making her believeable. Should have done some little things to help her sister. Heroine is cool ( so is boyfriend ), she should be learning magic faster. Quicker or more action in the story.
I like the author's Sci-Fi books. This genre switch is almost there.

In the fourth book in the Witch in Wolf Wood series, Morgen Keller is learning more about being a witch and growing closer to her best ally, the lone werewolf Amar. She’ll need everything she’s learned and then some to fight Amar’s powerful enemy from the past when he shows up in town, looking for revenge. It will take both Morgen, Amar and all of the friends and allies they’ve made to defeat the enemy. One lucky result will be more understanding and tolerance among the witches and werewolves, which should be a good thing for the future of Wolf Wood. I like the romance brewing between Morgen and Amar, which manages to progress somewhat this time, despite all of the danger that tends to interrupt every time anything interesting begins. I look forward to seeing what crazy trouble comes up in the next episode with this unlikely pair and their friends.

Interesting, fresh and kicking the formula

Am so happy about this series. It is interesting enough for me to feel it could go on forever without making me bored. The characters are well developed and solid. The heroine could be less forgiving and polite to irritating people, but hey. The storyline is far from the norm and keeps being interesting and fresh. The story world is a bit harsh and also far from the norm, which overall is good as it keeps things interesting (and you hoping for reformation). Either I have started liking the narrator a lot more (could happen with all the books she has read for me by now) or she is just better. Can not figure out why I haven´t given her five stars before now.

I guess it was inevitable that Amar would have a history what with his being a a werewolf.
We already a little of the previous flame, but a previous enemy?.Wow. And what an enemy that that was.
And is.
And he is back for further reveng, having killed Amar's parents already way back.
The problem is, Amar and Morgen are virtually powerless to stop this ancient menace... lest the gutsy Morgen can pull something out the proverbial hat. Is that even possible?
It is surprising to see how the citizens of Bellrock for once pull together in order to fight this menace, though none really can really kill it.
Wolf Wood has probably never experienced such intense activity by so many people at all previously.
And certainly makes for some serious page turning.
Enjoy

Each book in this series has been more enjoyable than the one before due to the steady development of the characters and the situations they find themselves in, with both feeling natural progressions.

This book takes a darker turn, compared to the previous ones, with an enemy from Amar's and the Lobo's past catching up to them. This enemy is a Rougarou, a type of Werewolf who is similar to those portrayed in the underworld films, but who is hundreds of years old and has magical abilities of his own. The story nicely balances the tension and darker aspects the Rougarou brings, with humour and banter to keep it light enough to be a gripping read from start to finish.

Another winner all the way.

This story gets better and better.

Every book in this series unravels an exciting adventure, and each one is even more interesting, if possible, than the previous because as Morgan learns more about her newly inherited life and discovers her magical talents, she is drawn into the community’s conflicts and personal relationships. As her connection to Amar grows closer, Morgan finds her true abilities and purpose and learns to use them to protect those she loves, partnering with Amar to defend against this new threat to him and the community. Can’t wait to see how Morgan finally grows into her own while walking in her grandmother’s footsteps.

Love this series

I enjoy the "new" genre that was created recently by some amazing authors that decided this catagory was underrated, "Paranormal Women's Fiction". This delivers something different than the stereotypical young heroine as the FMC (female main character), midlife main character and all the joys that come with age.
This series is representative of the genre and is just as amazing as some of the original PWF series that were created by truly great authors. Can't wait for the next book and then hopefully more from this author in this genre or similar.

I think it's fair to say that this series gets better with every book - mainly because all the things I like about the series remain present, while the things that initially irritated me seem to happen less and less. Plus, as the series goes on, I get to see more female friendships developing, and there's something satisfying about watching the witches and werewolves come together to fight a common enemy.

Plus, as usual, Napoleon steals every scene he appears in!

Looking forward to Book 5, which I *think* is the end of the series.

Love the writing no matter the genre

One of my favourite things about Lindsay’s books are the little gems inside every one. The phrases that turn up in book after book always make me smile like recognising an old friend. The banter, the quirky characters… and this series and latest instalment is no different.

And I’m sure I’m not the only reader who said, “finally!” If you’ve read the other three books, you’ll know what I’m talking about. *wink wink nudge nudge*

Another great story in this series. I enjoy watching Morgan's powers and knowledge develop and her relationship with Amar progress. I like her sister Sian very much, the witches of her coven...some of them, but I don't like the way they take advantage of her. And that's ok--that I get so involved in the characters' lives that this bothers me is a good sign. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series!

Just when things are looking up for Morgen and Amar, an old enemy of Amar's has tracked him down and is out for blood. In addition, the couple finally get enough alone time to consummate their relationship, Morgen learns more about her powers, she's finally accepted as a member of the local coven, and more visions shed light on how Amar came to reside in her grandmother's barn in the first place.

Still greatly enjoying these books and its ever expanding cast of quirky characters.

It’s now 1:45AM. I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it. I love Morgan’s witty humor and her banter with most everyone, especially Amar and her sister. Amar’s dangerous enemy from his past shows up. Will the wolves and witches finally work together to try and defeat him? And, Morgan has received a very large property tax bill. Isn’t that like everyone’s life; tackling big problems while everyday situations have to be dealt with?

Finally a book where witches aren't the main enemy of Morgen, it was nice to read something else. In this book a rougarou is stalking the town with a particular interest in killing Amar. This creature has already killed Amar's family, and Amar managed to escape while taking out an eye. Morgen and Amar work together with his pack to destroy the creature. Morgen's sister Sian played a larger part in this book, and she was a fun add.

Morgen and Amar become more than friends but it take a couple battles first

Morgen and Amar are trying to find a time for them but keep getting interrupted by others and enemies. She has made friends with the pack. now she needs to get her sister charmed. They all get sidtracked by an ancient enemy that is killing the werewolves but this time the witches and wolves fight together only time tells if they win.

Things are beginning to look up for Morgen. She and Amar are getting along better than ever; the witches are beginning to like Morgen; the werewolves are getting along better with the witches. I mean everything is beginning to look up for Morgen and her new life as a witch. Could things be any better for Morgen? With one more book in the series, I hope we will find a that everything is turning out well for Morgen.

2.5, as an overall series rating.

Ok, so book 3 was a good end of the series, this book is just a filler and maybe a bit annoying.

Was worth a try, though. It's worth reading if you're looking for something really really light, maybe if you're new to UF or maybe if you're a teenager/ YA or so and just wanna relax after a day full of studying.

Anyway, still good writing by Lindsay Buroker, so there's that.
