Bluey makes a new friend while camping with her family!

Bluey goes camping with her family and makes a new friend named Jean-Luc! Despite the language barrier, they have fun planting fruit trees, hunting a wild pig, and more! But when vacation ends, Bluey wonders if she'll ever get to see her new friend again.

About the author

Bluey is a 6 year old Blue Heeler pup who loves to play. Her parents and teacher give her lots of time to practice, which means she’s become very good at inventing games, helping everyone choose their roles and deciding on the rules. Her favourite games are ones that involve lots of other kids and grown-ups (especially her dad) and she mainly likes to pretend she’s a grown up doing grownup things herself.

Bluey is an Australian children's television program by the Emmy award-winning Ludo Studio for ABC KIDS and is co-commissioned by ABC Children's and BBC Studios.

“Sometimes special people come into our lives, stay for a bit, and then they have to go.” Probably one of the best Bluey eps! So happy it was a book that I can read to Owen. I think there could have been a bit more dialogue, like from the show added into the book, but nonetheless it was cute. Would recommend regardless of being a Bluey fan because it has a nice moral to the story.

Βιβλιοπροτάσεις για την περίοδο του Πάσχα κι όχι μόνο!

Δεν ξέρω αν το έχω ξαναμοιραστεί μαζί σας, αλλά τώρα στα μεγάλα μου νιάτα, έφτασε εκείνη η στιγμή που απέκτησα νέους/ες αγαπημένους/ες χαρακτήρες καρτούν. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, η Μπλούι και η μικρή αδελφούλα της η Μπίνγκο έχουν έρθει κι έχουν τοποθετήσει το δικό τους λιθαράκι στην αγάπη που τρέφω για τα παιδικά παραμύθια! Γι'αυτό, δε θα μπορούσαν να λείπουν από τις βιβλιοπροτάσεις μου προς εσάς για την περίοδο του Πάσχα κι όχι μόνο, όχι ένας όχι δύο, μα τρεις νέοι τίτλοι που ήρθαν να προστεθούν στη σειρά βιβλίων ''Bluey - Eικονογραφημένες Ιστορίες". Και τα τρία παραμύθια κυκλοφορούν από τις εκδόσεις Anubis, σε μετάφραση της κυρίας Δώρας Γιακουμή και απευθύνονται σε παιδιά ηλικίας έως 7 ετών.

Για ποιον λόγο αγαπώ να διαβάζω τα βιβλία που πρωταγωνιστεί η Μπλούι και η Μπίνγκο; Διότι, μέσα από τον απλό, ψυχαγωγικό και άκρως κατανοητό λόγο που αποτυπώνονται οι ιστορίες πάνω στις σελίδες των βιβλίων έχουμε να κάνουμε με ιστορίες που διδάσκουν με εύστοχο τρόπο τα παιδιά. Καθαρά μηνύματα, λεξιλόγιο προσαρμοσμένο στην ηλικία και σκέψη των παιδιών, καθώς και μία γενικότερη εμβάθυνση στη φαντασία και το ευφυές χιούμορ έχουν ως αποτέλεσμα βιβλία που βοηθούν τα μικρά παιδιά να καλλιεργήσουν τη συναισθηματική τους νοημοσύνη και κατ'επέκταση την ενσυναίσθησή τους, να αντιληφθούν την αξία της φιλίας, την αποδοχή της διαφορετικότητας, την αδελφική αγάπη έως και τη λαχτάρα για τον εορτασμό του Πάσχα και της ανταμοιβής για την υπομονή και καλή συμπεριφορά τους όλη τη χρονιά.

I loved this book just as much as I love the episode of Camping.
It’s a wonderful story or long lasting friendship and how friends can be made anywhere in any situations.
I love the Bluey meets Jean Luc and they become friends with each other even though they don’t speak the same language as each other.
They catch a “wild pig” together, build a stick house and plant a seedling tree.
They have so much fun together but then Jean Luc’s holiday is over and Bluey can’t find him and it’s so sad.
But… years go by and your see the tree they planted grow and then you see older Bluey and Jean Luc appears again and they are still friends. It’s so lovely and the pictures are beautiful.
Bingo goes for a bush wee and it always makes me laugh.

Aaaaw! Another great book from this adorable character!

I love the idea that they create video book reads for everyone to enjoy. Unfortunately for me, since I listened to it at work, I embarrassingly caught myself sniffling over the ending. I reckon this is a good book to teach kids to cherish more on happy memories instead of the sad reality of the person you are fond of being gone. It is a good realization for adults how easy for children to befriend fellow kids...and that we should have this frame of thought every now and then.

I look forward to more video book reads, that's for sure!

This is a cute story about making friends while camping! Better than the hardcover, since this edition includes STICKERS!! :D

English/French: minimal, but it gets the point across
Story: reminds me of times I tried to make friends while on vacation, but I didn't do as well as Bluey did, haha (aww)

Recommended for Bluey fans, but also young readers in general! (who will BECOME Bluey fans after reading this, I bet!)

Bluey: Camping was a book that younger children would love especially with having the show about it as well. The moral of this story is that no matter the differences between each other (language barriers, culture, ethnicity, etc) we will always find a way to involve one another and see no difference. This book talks about how Bluey meets a friend while camping but has a language barrier that they work through to be able to communicate and still become friends no matter the difference.

Such a cute book! It has an excellent storyline and colorful and engaging pictures. I really enjoyed how it introduced differences and how to communicate and be friends even though people are different. It is also a great book for teaching kids about good-byes. I highly recommend this book.

A has also read this one like 15 times since we bought it a few days ago. I admit, I can't get through it without crying, darn it. When Mum talks about how sometimes special people come into your life only for a few moments... every time, I think of Cheryl.

But it's a great story from the show Bluey about instant friendship across cultures and languages and time.
