Uninhibited

I can’t be trusted with anyone’s heart, especially hers.

Whit

My first memory is of breaking my mom’s heart. Yea, people know me as the good-time guy, the guy with the jokes, the deejay who's always up for a party. But underneath all of that, I’m the guy who lets people down wherever I go.

The one person who sees past all my bullshit is Lucy. She always has, since we were thirteen and she hated my guts. But I’ve never hated her. Lucy is my ideal in every way-- gorgeous and funny and smart and takes no shit with an ass that’s the stuff of my dreams. Too bad she’s also my stepsister.

But don’t worry, ma. Nothing to see here. Afterall, Lucy can’t stand me, so when we go roadtripping together, nothing will happen, right?

Except it does. And neither one of us is ready for the fallout.

Uninhibited is a full-length novel with a fun-loving hero, a straightlaced, goal-oriented heroine, a Stepsister trope, and an HEA. It is the third inter-connected standalone in the Bainbridge University Series and it follows Uncovered and Unknown. They are all standalones, but for the best reader experience, they should be reader in order.

Oh man I think this one is my all time favorite. I just loved Caleb and his annoyingly habit of getting Lucy with a no middle name Adams oh lord the middle names he kept using was hysterical. Poor girl didn't know what she was in for when she met Caleb that one summer day. I would recommend reading this book to any and everyone, because this boy and his crazy self is something else. She didn't know she needed him to learn to live rather than have rules and he didn't know he needed her to calm the storm.

It’s a forbidden stepsister/brother romance for resident party boy Whit in Uninhibited but what pain is he hiding beneath his happy go lucky exterior. It would take a special woman for Whit to fall in love with and to begin with I didn’t see her in Lucy. She was his complete opposite. Organised to her fingertips, with her entire life planned in great detail with the full approval of her father but to Whit first and foremost she was his summer camp girl, the girl he’d crushed on since he was thirteen. All it takes is a road trip to make her see things the same way.

Something about this hero touched my heart. He so deserved to be loved even though he didn’t think he deserved it or was good enough for Lucy. He didn’t seem to see the love everyone had for him, from his mother to his friends. In a touchingly beautiful story, the development of his and Lucy’s relationship was fantastic with the subject of his mental illness handled sensitively and probably made Uninhibited my favourite book of the series so far. With a now familiar cast of characters and a sweet epilogue, the Bainbridge University series is one I’m so glad I discovered.

UNINHIBITED (Bainbridge University, #3) . . . We step into the world of Bainbridge University. Our new adults embark on a new world and make their way through it the best they can. At Bainbridge University, we meet four young men that have forged a bond between them that was more than the family they were born into. This time we meet Whit. Whit and Lucy have a history unlike that of the other brothers in the chapel.

Whit finds himself 13-year-old and share a confidence with a 13-year-old Lucy. The two of them meet in summer camp over next several years. The cement a friendship that could have been more, but one of them have some strong future goals. This ends what could have been growing between the two. Years later is where we find Whit in all his glory. He is not very motivated in his direction, but he can cook, he is a great friends, and he love his mom. And he has mental health issues. These issues are touched upon in the story but not beat to death. I am not sure if that was a good or bad thing. That matter of mental health can create an issue. I think the way Andi has it works with this story.

Lucy. She is a different subject matter. She felt that her goals for life were the only thing. She had plans to be something more. She had her steps planned out. She never and he never anticipated they would see each other again so soon. One evening. One party. One morning after. Two phone calls to two people brings them both back into each other orbit on a regular basis.

Watching the two of them grow more together was beautiful. Their struggles and disappointments were shared. They were indeed friends. Friends that became more. Their bond was strong and drove each to do that extra to show support to the other.

Thank you Andi. I am so anticipating the next brother's story. I have had a delightful journey with the first three brothers.

Reasons I enjoyed this book:

I love the family the guys of the Chapel have made & are growing. I’m loving each addition & honestly I have feeling I know who Booker is going to add & I can’t wait!

I love Caleb, I officially have a soft spot for him. I love his sense of humour, how he’s uniquely himself, loves music, is an amazing cook & takes such amazing care of his family. Lucy is his exact opposite but I think that’s why these two work so well together. The banter & chemistry between these two was off the charts. It made for such a fun read.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

This is the third book in an interconnected series, Bainbridge.
I loved the romance between the two main characters. I connected with Lucy because I am also a schedule on time kinda person.

In the start we see our two main characters as teenagers at summer camp. Them slowly falling in love it was so beautiful.

The couple really balanced each other. I started to like Lucy even more as she started to open up. It really reminded me of my husband and I.

I am very closed off, very organized (idk how I do it with my adhd 🤣). I just like everything done according to plan and if one this is off then my whole day is off. My husband is the total opposite he’s one, well let’s improvise. He has gotten me outta my shell and more open. So it was so easy for me to connect to the characters.

Now I don’t wanna spoil the book for you so go read it!!!

I highly recommend.

I really struggled with this book, unfortunately, which makes me sad because it should have been a hit: enemies to lovers/ forbidden step brother romance but there was just so much going on, yet not enough at the same time. I just felt bored by this couple towards the middle and it seemed like their attraction kind of fizzled out. Overall it just wasn't for me.

I adore this Bainbridge series, I truly do. Whit is a wonderfully special character, and I'm so happy we got to see him get his moment and find the love he absolutely deserves, even if it is a rocky road to get there.

Lucy and Whit were, essentially, like oil and water, but it worked. They smoothed each other out, complemented each other beautifully, and helped one another find what they were really looking for and reach their full potential. Lucy, a type A "if I don't have a plan then what do I have?" type of individual, was the exact opposite of Whit, a laid back "meh I'll get there when I get there" kinda guy, and seeing them start to influence one another's habits? *chef's kiss* and Lucy's growth, in particular, was incredibly lovely to see because, not only do I identify with Lucy and her people pleasing nature, but she was on a path that she hated, and so watching her figure her shit out and make her own decisions was incredibly empowering and I was so proud of her by the end, especially when she stuck to her guns and defended her decisions and choices.

One thing I especially loved? Whit's battle with depression and his brain chemistry. Mental illness is a tough topic to cover in books but to see it done so well was just heartwarming. As someone who's got their own depression monster, seeing Whit go through some shit felt reflective of my own experience and I really appreciated those moments, especially when his found family (my favorite boys) were there to pick him back up.

I do think this book was a bit choppier, I guess? for lack of a better word? Than the previous two books, but Lucy and Whit have a long history so it makes sense for the pacing to be quicker. It was also a little messier with a few more inconsistencies than I normally see from Andi, but none of that dampened my love for this book or this group of guys. While I did miss having them all around for the first like, 1/3 of the book, we needed Lucy and Whit's summer love backstory so I get it, but reading about how things were intertwining with the other stories we've previously read once we did catch up (in the timeline) was so well done and it brought back a big smile to my face, calling back to pivotal moments in Ty's book and Knox's book, and I was so happy to see them again.

I really do enjoy these books. They're unique, and emotional, but also hella funny and heartwarming, and I just really have a good time with each story. I adore these boys to the moon and back, and am both excited for the last book, but also dreading it because then what? I'm done with Bainbridge and then I'm sad. The epilogue of this one damn near killed me (Booker! You angel!!!), but I loved it all the same and am more than ready to see what happens next.

Uninhibited was wonderful, and I'm so happy I read it. Give these boys a try and you won't be sorry.

Uninhibited by Andi Burns, is the third book in the Bainbridge University Series, this time it's Caleb “Whit” Whitman's turn, his story begins when he is at summer camp at the age of thirteen and while he hides so as not to have to take the swimming test he bumps into Lucy Alvarez, a girl from the camp, who is also going through a bad time, Lucy is a strict follower of rules while Whit tends to stretch, modify or break them at his convenience, Lucy loses patience with Whit and he greatly enjoy making her angry, so they spend the following summers between arguments and laughter, hiding the attraction they feel for each other, until the summer of their first kiss arrives and from there their love is born, but when the last summer Lucy is presented with an opportunity that she cannot pass up; she must say goodbye to Caleb, her life is carefully planned and she has no time for boys, much less relationships. Four years later Lucy is at a party at BU and there she reunites with her love from camp. Whit is always remembering Lucy and can't believe he has her back in front of him. That night they let themselves be carried away by their feelings and spend the night together, when they separate the next day the feeling for each other has multiplied, but each one has their careers to return to, only that fate has prepared a surprise for them that they will not believe, when Caleb's mother and Lucy's father announce that they are getting married, this is the nail in the coffin of the possible relationship, if they ever had hope of having one, since if it doesn't work out they will put their parents' happiness in danger, so they swear stay away from each other, but it's easier said than done when they have to be in the same places and sharing as if they were a big family. But their attraction is so strong that, even if they try to fight it, they somehow always find their way to each other.
If I loved the previous stories in this series, this is definitely my favorite. I wanted to hug Caleb, help him and protect him from his traumas and the feeling of undeserving. Lucy is the perfect complement for him and I loved being able to live his story with them and their happy ending, with all the characters in this series this story is sweet, with moments of laughter and moments of tears, it's impossible to read them and not love them. Definitely Highly Recommended!

¡Definitivamente Altamente Recomendada!

Uninhibited is the third book in the Bainbridge University series by Andi Burns but can be read as a standalone. I have not read any of the other books in this series and was able to comprehend the book just fine however, NOW I NEED to read the other books so that I can have the full Bainbridge experience and get to know the other characters!

This is the first book I’ve ever read by the author and Andi Burns now has a new fan. There were several tropes covered here, forbidden romance, a bit of enemies to lovers, first love, found family etc…

Lucy and Caleb met when they were thirteen at summer camp. They used to bicker and fight whenever they were near each other but things changed by the time they reached their final summer at camp. They were more similar than they realized, both coming from single parent homes. Caleb was easy going and downright funny, perfectly balancing Lucy and her need to follow rules and control every situation. After summer camp they never expected to see each other again. Lucy had a plan and she’d been sticking to her plan for her whole life and would continue to do so as she left for college. She didn’t have room for romance or time in her busy, scheduled, planned life for distractions. Caleb was the aloof frat boy, the life of the party. The fly by the seat of his pants kind of guy, he didn’t really have a path or direction that he was following. The two of them just couldn’t work.
After meeting up again on a return visit to home, they stay in touch and start getting extremely close again. They’re getting ready to home for a visit when each of the parents calls them with big news. Turns out they’ve met someone, fallen in love and are getting married. The problem? Their parents are marrying each other! How will this bode for Lucy and Caleb? The journey they embark on is full of page turning moments…

The plot was great. There is also a heavy dose of spice BUT, the author does a fantastic job of making sure the plot carries through from start to finish, as well. I HAVE to have plot with my spice! The main characters had sizzling chemistry. Lucy and Caleb (or Whit as his friends call him,) complimented each other very well. The cast of support characters were the best addition to this story, they really added to the found family trope. The positive representation of mental health and the struggles that come with that was handled with tact and grace.

I cannot wait to read the next book in series and see what happens with Booker!

I received an advance reader copy for the re-release and am leaving my review voluntarily.

"Uninhibited" by Andi Burns is a contemporary romance novel that explores the relationship between step-siblings, Caleb and Lucy. Their story revolves around the challenges they face as they are reunited as adults after their parents announce their intention to marry and the sparks that fly between them despite their complicated situation.

The book blends various romantic elements, including new-adult, enemies-to-lovers, light angst and tension, and step-sibling romance, promising a mix of emotions, humor, and love.

Andi did it to me again. Oh, my heart! 💜🥺 There are a lot of positive aspects of this book, particularly the character development of Caleb and the way the author handles sensitive subjects such as trauma. Lucy and Caleb are both relatable, and the portrayal of their struggles with issues like ADHD and depression is done with sensitivity and insight.

If I thought I loved Knox, then I am officially obsessed with Caleb. 💜💜 Everything about him pulled me in.

I adored his nervous, cute behavior when he was younger; it made me “awww.” I loved his vulnerability; he’s not afraid to show “weakness” and just be honest about his feelings. I loved his selflessness and humor with his family and friends. He shows love through cooking and deals with some of the tough stuff with humor. On top of all that, he is sexy and has amazing “bedroom behavior” for lack of a better word.

I think Uninhibited is steamier than the previous books too. 😘

"Note to self: stepsister doesn’t wear panties when she sleeps. Fuck me standing, but there’s nothing I’d rather do right now than dangle some mistletoe just south of her belly button."

Honestly, I think Caleb is my kindred spirit. 💞 I related so much to his thoughts, feelings, and actions surrounding his ADHD and depression. I couldn’t stop thinking about how I’d felt that way, that I had done that action, or that I completely understood where he was coming from.

I related a little to Lucy as well, but not in the same way I connected to Caleb. Lucy’s behavior of controlling everything resonated with me as I’ve dealt with life that way before too. I understood her fears and I liked her independence and strength. She truly is an amazing woman!

“I love rules. I live for rules. They keep me safe and happy. But Caleb Whitman makes me want to break the rules.”

I love the way Caleb and Lucy complement each other!! They have quite a heartwarming romance story.

Overall, 10/10 I would recommend reading this book. It’s such an adorable, entertaining read.

Couple: Lucy & Caleb Whitman

Tropes: childhood love, friends to lovers, forbidden romance, taboo romance, stepbrother romance, soul mates

Review: Caleb Whitman broke my heart, tore it to shreds and then put it back together in this swoony stepbrother romance. Caleb and Lucy are truly two souls who kept finding each other over and over again, even when circumstances tried to keep them apart. Andi did a wonderful job with delivering Whit’s story and leaving us in a chokehold until we get the final Bainbridge boy’s story.

Whit was a shock to my system. I was not prepared for all the feelings he would stir up and all the darkness he would carry inside him. I loved how we see all the guys and their women pull him back from the brink and keep him afloat. This book dives into his past more and I found myself in tears with how much trauma he had from his father’s sudden death and then his mother marrying Lucy’s father. I also enjoyed how we see the friendship between him and Booker and how they were always thick as thieves. I appreciated how Andi did not brush over Whit’s mental health and his tendency to depend on others when needed, I found it to add a ton to his story!

Lucy is honestly the perfect balance to Whit’s chaos. I wanted to rage against her father for all the stress he put on her and how she never felt adequate. I also loved how White was always there to support her and let her cry. Andi developed Lucy’s character superbly and allowed us to really gain insight to how uptight and buttoned up she was. Whit provided a window for her to unwind and let go at times and I loved how their relationship evolved as they got older. I found the way she tried to push him away maddening since she only hurt both of them in doing it but also necessary for their storyline.

This is a sweet and lusty childhood crush turned stepsibling romance. I loved how no matter what happened the two of them were pulled back together, What really made this story was how Lucy stook up for Whit to her father when their relationship comes out. I enjoyed how she believed in him and gave him a sense of balance as well. This book is a perfect forbidden romance and I cannot wait to get Booker’s story next!

Rating: 4.5/5, a love story that spans decades between two twin flames!

I can’t tell you how much I loved this book! I’ve had my eye on Whit for a while now and have been itching to get my hands on him! He’s as wonderful as I’d hoped he’d be and I absolutely adore him.

Whit is so kind and considerate and loves with his whole heart. He’s something of a free spirit without being irresponsible, someone you would trust to have your back. He’s very funny and his humorous comebacks had me cracking up. He’s understanding and creative and gorgeous and a little bit vulnerable too. He carries a lot of guilt but Ms Burns has skilfully and respectfully explored his vulnerabilities without taking anything away from his strength of character and without bringing down the overall tone of the book. His charm, his humor, together with his wonderful romantic gestures, just made me love him more.

I love Lucy too. She’s strong and independent and yes, rather uptight. She knows this about herself. However, she’s also selfless, clearly prepared to put her father’s happiness before her own. She wants to succeed in life and although she’s willing to put up with some discomfort in order to achieve her goals, she’s no pushover and isn’t going to be steamrollered by anyone, including her dad. She’s a rule follower, not a rule breaker and the total opposite of Whit. Uptight meets laid back and I loved it. I would say she’s perfect for Whit but actually they’re perfect for each other. I think out of the two of them, she grows and develops the most and that was very satisfying to experience. When she’s with Whit, she puts everything else to one side and allows their chemistry to take over and to live in the moment with him. She’s more than one dimensional and as Whit observes, “You’re a little saucy under all that propriety”.

I love the amazing family of friends this author has so skilfully created, with their camaraderie, their jokes and wise guy remarks. However, I really enjoyed Whit and Lucy’s time away from The Chapel and the fact that it allowed us readers to really focus on their relationship and see them as the strong individuals they are.

With Uninhibited Ms Burns has crafted a wonderful love story, full of witty banter, emotion and romance. The fantastic characters, the road trip, the musical references, the heat and the humor, there is so much to love about this book and I really didn’t want it to end.

Uninhibited is the third book from the Bainbridge University series by Andi Burns. It tells the story of Caleb ‘Whit’ Aaron Whitman and Lucy ‘Luce’ Alvarez through their dual perspective.

Taking you on a trek through various emotions and feelings from the constant back and forth, Whit and Lucy had you going around circles causing a head trip with the dizziness that resulted from it.
Whilst they knew what they felt, it didn’t mean they made it easy on themselves with going straight forward with what they wanted. Given the constant bickering from the many fights and arguments they would have. On top of the complication that comes about from their parents relationship that became a railroad in their own relationship that they wanted with each other.
Ultimately leading to some drama to occur, since it not only began to affect their lives, given everything they were already dealing with from beforehand. It also played a part in the problems that took place within the relationship they tried to share.

When it came to Lucy, her focus and priority was always planning everything out and making sure to achieve it. Since she already had her life goals noted down in hopes of accomplishing them, consuming her whole in the process seeing as it was all she seemed to live and breathe. Which becomes very clear, when it starts to affect her relationship with Whit. Ultimately causing her to pull away from him, instead choosing to deny the feelings she had. And focus on her own life instead.

As for Whit, on the inside he may have been dealing with guilt from the trauma he experienced with his dad’s death. But from the outside you couldn’t even tell, since the personality he personified was being a happy-go-lucky, free-spirit. Always helping out his friends and family, showing them so much love and kindness. Including Lucy, even when she begins to pull away.

Unfortunately this book didn't go without having me struggle. It just felt a little too long and drawn out at times IMO. Especially given that with everything that was going on with the back and forth, it made the story feel repetitive, which just didn’t appeal to me considering my attention ended up waning at times. Especially when you took into account the antic-climactic climax, something you would’ve expected to be huge since it was an Enemies to Lovers, Taboo, Forbidden Romance tropes. All of which tends to usually have a big moment from the explosive climax. However this didn’t end up being the case IMO, which left me disappointed. As it was something that had me expecting to occur.

All in all, Whit and Lucy’s story was still a good read.
Given the sneak peek of Booker, it has me intrigued to see how his story will play out in Undeniable, the next book in the Bainbridge University series.

Fun & emotional read

Andi Burns returns to Bainbridge University for the next book in this wonderful series, UNINHIBITED. Finally it's time for Caleb 'Whit' Whitman and Lucy Alvarez's story and I couldn't wait to start reading. UNINHIBITED is a forbidden, second chance, step siblings, emotional, humourous romance that held me captivated with every word.

I've loved Whit since he made his first appearance in book #1, Uncovered. He's a carer, has an amazing sense of humour, a lover of 80's music, a fantastic cook, and he's been in love with the same girl since he was thirteen. There's as dark side to Whit though, he struggles with depression brought on by a childhood tragedy, and there's also his battle with an imbalance with his brain chemistry. These two things aside, Whit is a giant teddy bear, who I just want to cuddle. Lucy is the complete opposite of Whit. She's all routines, spreadsheets, and thoroughly organized in everything she does. Lucy has her life all planned out (or her dad does) and she doesn't want any distractions. Caleb Whitman is a distraction and has been since they first met at summer camp.

UNINHIBITED was time consuming, I couldn't put it down. I loved the background to Whit and Lucy's relationship, watching all their ups and downs and how they struggled with their situation and emotions. The road trip was a classic, enlightening for both, it was what they needed to experience for their relationship to grow. The heat between them sizzled, who would have thought that prim Lucy could be so raunchy? Their story made me laugh, cry, and get really frustrated, but it was worth it. I enjoyed the crossing of timelines between this book and the previous two books, it made me smile remembering some of the important moments the little found family has been through (so yes, the books really should be read in order).

Next up is Undeniable, Booker's story, and I can't wait.

Overall Grade: 4.5 ⭐️

I dare you. I dare you to read Andi Burns’s Uninhibited and NOT fall in love with Whit, her hero. I’ve been beta-reading for Andi Burns for the past two Bainbridge University series books, and I loved Ty and Knox. However, Whit stole my heart. His heroine, Lucy, calls him a “golden retriever,” insinuating that he’s “happy go lucky” without a care in the world beyond partying and hooking up with girls. However, it’s clear from the start that Caleb Whitman is simply someone who loves the people he loves HARD. Thankfully, for her, Lucy is one of those people. Uninhibited shows their complication, though. For one, these two are opposites. Lucy is buttoned-up, organized, and ambitious. She and her father set her plan when she was younger, and she works that plan almost to her detriment. In contrast, Whit is disorganized (due to his mental health issues), passionate about life, and not sure about his future. It seems as though these two couldn’t possibly be a match, but throughout the course of Uninhibited, it’s clear that they are suited to each other.

When their parents meet and fall in love, it complicates a potential future, but the longer these two spend time together, it’s clear that they are fated. Through their parents’ marriage, a road trip, Lucy’s constant skepticism, and a potential scandal, Andi Burns puts her couple through the paces and crafts a story that shows the endearing love of a hero to his heroine. Again, I dare you to read and leave Uninhibited, saying that Whit was just “meh.” He is the type of hero who underestimates his power to love people through the difficulties of life. From its early draft to its current release, Andi Burns’s newest book is a story that makes you believe in love.

ARC review. Thank you Andi Burns and literally yours pr for the eARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Uninhibited is the third book in the Bainbridge University Series by Andi Burns. Although there are four books in the series, each book is a standalone novel that follows the stories of four college roommates and their love interests.

I fell in love with Whit and Lucy from the first page. I adored how their story started as teenagers at summer camp over a handful of years. The snapshots in time of them falling in love were so pure and sweet. Once the novel jumped forward in time, I was completely invested in the outcome for these sweethearts.

Honestly, this couple balanced each other out so well. Whit can be directionless, but so loving and loyal, while Lucy is organized and driven, but closed off. It was fun to see how they brought out the best in one another, while at the same time, challenged each other to grow and change.

Without any spoilers, some of my favorite parts of the book were Whit’s middle name game for Lucy, the road trip, and the honest conversations about sex. The vulnerability and acceptance in this book regarding sex and mental health is so well done. I wish more books were as open about these topics as Uninhibited.

Now that I know Ty, Knox, and Whit’s stories, I can’t wait to read Booker’s…

In the pages, you will find:

🛣️ Fell in love as teens and never got over it
🦡 Second chance romance
❄️ Mental health representation
🛣️ Road Trip
🦡 It’s always been you
❄️ Conversations about sex and mental health
🛣️ I’d do anything for you
🦡 Complicated family dynamics

Andi Burns lives up to her reputation of delivering HEA romances with a hint of humor and infused with a whole of heat, Uninhibited has all this and more.

Uninhibited, book 3 in the Bainbridge U World has a very unique coupling in Whit and Lucy, Whit is the guy that loves to take care of his roommates, he is the cook in the house, the person that keeps the place tidy, he is nature in the group, but he is also dealing with a tragic past that one has left with Whit with feelings of loss and regret, Lucy is the girl that would prefer to 'buy highlighter than drink', she needs order in her life, her mom walked out when she was young and her dad has her on a strict academy path one she is happy to follow. Whit and Lucy meet at summer camp when they with 13 and continued to see each other each year, feelings grow on both sides and for one night they could just be themselves, each have gone to a different university but now they paths about to cross, and the heat and steam go to another level with these two as they embark on a road trip that neither thought they would take. But what happens at the end of the trip?, can Lucy really go back to the straight lace driven life she lived below, and can Whit prove that he can have a plan and not only live in the moment.

I loved getting to know Whit and Lucy and loved the insight through songs about Whit's dad, the humor was really well thought out and the sass just perfect.

{4.5} ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Andi Burns is a first time author for me and I don't particularly love the step-siblings trope but this one was so good, I might be changing my stance on that.

Whit is a character unlike any I've ever seen before. He's a free spirit but he's also kind and loving. He's understanding and he's gorgeous and he's funny as hell. Some of the stuff he said had me absolutely cracking up. And don't even get me started on the cute romantic gestures 🥺 ugh this is the stuff movies are made of.

Lucy is almost Whit's exact opposite in every way. She's independent and strong but also a little...edgy. And yet, she's still the type of person who'd do anything for the people she loves, willing to put them over herself.

They both fit so well together. The laid-back and care-free one meets the rule follower and uptight one. It's an age-old match but one that never gets old if done right 🤝 This book was more lighthearted than I've read in a while and it made me feel all fuzzy feelings which was perfect for my mood.

Uninhibited is a beautiful love story filled to the brim with a romance that you can't help root for and emotion and banter, all making the perfect package. There's nothing really that I didn't like about this book, I really loved the story but I also loved the author's writing, it really pulls you in as well as the characters and pretty much everything else about it.

* Second Chance
* Step Siblings

Back in Bainbridge with the boys and their once again growing group! This time we are following Whit’s story all the way from pre teen to adulthood while he pines for the only girl he has ever loved.

Caleb Whitman, better known as Whit by his friends, meets Lucy Alvarez when they’re both spending summers at the same camp. These two are oil and water from the get go, but have an instant connection and can’t stay away from each other. After their last summer together they figure it’s the end, but life doesn’t always go to plan (much to Lucy’s dismay).

Whit - social butterfly, party deejay, chef connoisseur, no major career goals, always needs to be busy, cat dad to Stefan
Lucy - loves schedules and planning, has had her future planned out her whole life, life revolves around her career goals

These two try to dampen their desire for one another and squash their history once they find out they’re going to be step siblings, but we can’t always control who we love. Whit loves her so fiercely and will do anything to be with Lucy. Lucy however, I wanted to throttle for the majority of the book, but once she starts to loosen the tight hold she has on her life, she finds that she can be truly happy.

And I always love the glimpses into the other guys’ lives! Their little fam they’ve created is addicting and I am so ready for Booker’s story!

Oh my Oh my Caleb and Lucy were just as delicious I expected them to be. Uninhabited is the third book in the Bainbridge University Series by Author Andi Burns. I am excited too have Whitt's story.

Caleb Whitman aka Whit is a charmer without question, with a heart as big as the sun there is not a moment that I don’t feel every emotion that he feels. Caleb is dealing with so many things on different levels, but can one little ray of sunshine make his heart soar?

Lucy Alvarez is a brainiac in a cute sexy little package. Lucy is caught up in her own head at times, but when looking within herself she learns more about herself in those quiet moments then she ever expected. From beginning to end there has been one constant in her heart that never wavered. Caleb.

Uninhibited not only touches my heart, but makes me believe in the power of words. Caleb and Lucy’s story starts out years ago as friendemies. Lucy always so serious and Caleb always ready with a quick smile and a little bit of fun, these two challenge each other with their own brand of witty banter and steamy looks.

I was WAITING for Whit’s book. I loved Whit as a supporting character in the first 2 books of this series & he did not let me down when he became the main character. Whit exudes ✨main character energy✨.

I just love Whit so much. He’s funny & charming, and sure he’s a bit chaotic but it’s a fun chaotic. He’s carefree and is always trying to cheer people up and let them know he loves them!

I’m not gonna lie, Lucy’s character kind of annoyed me. I get she’s wound up tight but damn girl. Learn to live a little. Her OCD/urge to control every little thing just got on my nerves after a while. I know that’s why Whit is so perfect for her, because they’re opposites and they help balance one another out - but Lucy needed to take a chill pill a few times. Lol

I’m always kind of torn on the stepsiblings trope but this one was done well because they had an existing relationship/attraction before becoming step-sibs. So it helped make it less cringe! Haha

Thanks to Andi and her team for providing me with an ARC for the re-release! I’ve been loving this series and I can’t wait for Booker’s book!!!!

The Bainbridge boys have been on my radar for awhile, and I finally got my introduction. Let me tell you, I am so glad I read this one, and I definitely need to read the first two to get my fix.

Whit and Lucy were amazing. They seem so wildly incompatible until you realize just how wonderful they really are together.

I especially loved Whit. He was charming, outgoing and seemingly impulsive, but he was also so sweet, unflinchingly loyal and deeply vulnerable. I also really enjoyed his love of, and talent with, music and food.

Lucy was pretty great, too. I resonated with many aspects of her character, and she was quite relatable. Her love of an agenda, a plan, rules and the like was entertaining especially when Whit was involved.

They clashed and bickered and bantered, but you knew they really cared for each other. They just had an undeniable connection.

Probably the only I didn't love was how resistant Lucy was to her feelings for Whit. She denied them for a bit too long, but when she finally admitted her feelings, she was all in, and I did love that.

To start off, I love that Lucy was obsessed with One Direction. Immediately relatable. AND we have the same birthday. So actual twinsies, as with a lot of personality. Uninhibited is the third installment of this series, and it has been a joy continuing this story through the different couples and how they are all different in their own ways but complete each other— Ty and Phoebe, Knox and Willa (and Rose), and now Whit and Lucy. I also love that each story is different. Like yes it’s the same group of friends but because they are so different, you don’t feel like you are rereading the same thing over and over. Plus you get a little more details about the couples from the past books, which I love. Lucy and Whit were really sweet to read about and watch as they battle through their obstacles. From being each other’s crushes as teenagers, to a forbidden love as they become stepsiblings. But love conquers all. I can’t wait to read Booker’s next!!

Thank you Literally Yours PR and Andi Burns for the early copy and opportunity to review!

Caleb and Lucy met when they were fourteen at summer camp. Lucy was Caleb's first love. Lucy also had a crush on Caleb. Neither really acts on their feelings. They just found every excuse to be around each other. They were also both raise by single parents. Caleb was raised by his mom and Lucy was raised by her father.

During their junior year in college, they bump into each other again at a party. They decide to have one night together and Caleb admits Lucy should have been his first.
Not long after that night their parents met and started seeing each other. After only two months, Brian (Lucy's dad) asks Kristy (Caleb's mom) to marry him. She says yes. Lucy and Caleb become step-siblings and must do everything they can to ignore the pull they feel to each other.

Over Christmas break, they give into the urges. They are no longer able to hide their feelings and the pull they have to each other. Caleb and Lucy end up together even though it is forbidden.

This is the third book in the Bainbridge University Series. It is the story of Whit and Lucy. These two are step-siblings.The attraction between these two is really something you have to experience for yourself. These two are complete opposites. He is really a happy go lucky guy while she has herself organized and when I say organized I do mean her entire life is planned When they first meet they meet a summer camp and oh what a summer that was. Now things have changed for them and they are learning to fight their attraction and live their lives at the University. However there is no denying that these two balance each other out perfectly. I can't say too much about this book because i think you need to experience it for yourself. I had some moments in this book that kept it from being a five star read for me and that could have just been a me thing. However I do recommend that you read this book. It is good and you won't regret reading it.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

this was my very first book by andi burns!
this is book 3 of the bainbridge university series, but i read it as an standalone. uninhibited tells the story of lucy and caleb (aka whit), who have known each other for years and have a little of history together. whit and lucy meet at summer camp at the age of 13, and continued seeing each other, as well as developing feelings for the other. at one point they have to go to university, taking different paths. however, they're brought back together. they'll have to face many different challenges together, one of them being becoming step-siblings. (the angst)

this book also has opposites attract/polar opposites! overall their banter & chemistry was amazing.
at first it took me a little bit to get into their story, but once i did i couldn't put the book down.

This book is a ADORABLE love story. It all started at summer camp and their love grows. I just love their story so much and my heart broke when their parents are dating, yes they are step siblings. Let's just there are lot of ignoring their love for each other however you can't keep them apart 🥰

My heart truely broke and I got very tearful when Caleb broke to Lucy about the lose of his dad...no spoilers but he sees himself as a bad omen to the ones he loves. Lucy however proves him wrong with music and the confession of her heart.

🎼 "I Love You, Caleb Whitman" playlist

I can not for Booker story 😍 I really love the boys childhood memories and I love them all even more especially Booker. Booker is a loyal friend and he helped Caleb out at camp when it involved swimming test. So i can wait for his love story next !! 🥰

“Uninhibited” is the third book in Andi Burns’s Bainbridge University series, and it’s a forbidden college romance. It follows Whit and Lucy, who met at camp when they were thirteen and whose relationship develops from there - at least, until they become step-siblings. I thought this book was really great, I loved both Whit and Lucy and felt that they were complex characters whose relationship had depth. I loved learning more about Whit, I’ve liked him since the first book but it was really interesting to read things from his point of view. I felt bad for Lucy at times because of all the pressure her dad put on her regarding her future, but I also thought she bore all of that with grace. Whit and Lucy’s bond was strong, even before they became step-siblings, and I’m so happy with the way things turned out for them. I’d highly recommend!!!

This is Whits story, the loveable and lively one, can't sit still for 2 minutes, can cook like a champion, makes friends no matter where he goes, is so damn loyal, and loves so deep, has issues and I absolutely adore him!!

Whit and Lucy has spent a few summers together and to say opposites attract is an understatement when it comes to these two! He is organised chaos and she's just plain organised!

Anyway, they have things to overcome, becoming step-siblings being the main one as well as a lot of low self esteem!!

Really enjoyed this tale and I do think White is my favourite from the series!

Looking forward to Bookers story!!!
