I could read an entire novel just of Henry and Lassie's conversations!
I don't really remember Elena's backstory because I read the previous books so long ago, but what a complex web of a mystery! Lots of twists and turns I never saw coming, which I always love!

অনেকদিন পর এই সিরিজের নতুন বই পড়লাম, আমার কাছে খুব একটা ভালো লাগেনি আবার খারাপও লাগেনি, হেনরি বিনস কে মনে হয়েছে প্রায়োরিটি কম দেয়া হয়েছে কিন্তু বইয়ে সবথেকে প্লাস পয়েন্ট হলো সিরিজের পরের বইয়ের প্রতি আগ্রহ জেগেছে। বিস্তারিত বললে স্পয়লার দেয়া হয়ে যাবে। সিরিজের পরের বই নিয়ে আশাবাদী ।

সাল ১৯৭১!
শুধু বাংলাদশেই নয়, পৃথিবীর অন্য প্রান্তেও তখন যুদ্ধের নামে রক্তের খেলা চলছিল। ভিয়েতনামে চলা সেই যুদ্ধে অসংখ্য সৈনিক পাঠাচ্ছিল আমেরিকা সরকার। কেউ স্বেচ্ছায় দেশের জন্য কিছু করতে চেয়ে, কেউ আবার অনিচ্ছায় নিতান্তই বাধ্য হয়ে অস্ত্র তুলে নিয়েছিল। লক্ষ্য যুদ্ধের ময়দান।
সেই সময় এমন অনেক ঘটনাই প্রতিনিয়ত ঘটে, মানুষ তার মেজাজ হারায়। মেজাজ হারানোর কারণে কিংবা অন্য কারণেই হোক পিটার ক্লেউইন হয়ে ওঠে কালপ্রিট। ধারণা করা হয় সে মারা গিয়েছে। মারা যাওয়ার আগে স্কোয়াডে থাকা তার বসকেও নিকেষ করে দিয়েছে।
কিন্তু গল্পের মধ্যে গল্প থাকে। সত্যের মধ্যে থাকে মিথ্যে। কোনটা সত্য আর কোনটা মিথ্যে, যুদ্ধের সময় গভীর বনে সেদিন কী ঘটেছিল — এত বছর পর তা জন্য একটু হলেও কঠিন। তবুও সত্য একদিন সামনে আসে। প্রকাশ্যে এসে বদলে দেয় সকল সমীকরণ। তখন নিজের জানা গল্পটাও অচেনা হয়ে যায়।
হেনরি বিনসের বাবা রিচার্ড বিনসকে মিলিটারি পুলিশ ধরে নিয়ে গিয়েছে পুরোনো এক অপরাধের কারণে। পঁয়তাল্লিশ বছর আগে কী অঘটন ঘটিয়েছিল সে? একজন নির্ঝঞ্ঝাট, নিপাট ভদ্রলোক কী এমন করেছিল যে তাকে এতকাল পরে ধরে নিয়ে যেতে হবে?
হেনরি বিনসের সমস্যা তো একটাই। মাত্র এক ঘণ্টা জেগে থাকতে পারে। তাও এমন সময়, যখন পুরো পৃথিবী ঘুমিয়ে যায়। এই অবস্থায় বাবার কোর্ট মার্শালে থাকা তার পক্ষে সম্ভব না। হেনরির স্ত্রী ইনগ্রিড অন্তঃসত্ত্বা। তবুও সে নিজের শ্বশুরকে বাঁচানোর চেষ্টা করছে।
বাঁচানোর চেষ্টা করছে হেনরিও। যে এক ঘণ্টা সময় পায়, সেই সময়ের যথাযথ সদ্ব্যবহার করে সে। কিন্তু নিজের বাবার কাহিনি কিছু বুঝছে না সে। কেন মুখে কুলুপ এঁটে রয়েছে? এভাবে কি সাহায্য করা যায়? কাকে বাঁচানোর চেষ্টা করছে বাবা?
হেনরি তবুও হাল ছাড়তে নারাজ। ইনগ্রিডের স্বাস্থ্যের দিকে নজর রাখতে হচ্ছে। মাত্র এক ঘণ্টায় আর কী-ই বা নজর রাখা যায়! তবুও চেষ্টা করছে হেনরি। নিজের স্ত্রী কিংবা হবু সন্তানের জন্য তার বাবাকে পাশে থাকা দরকার। দৃঢ় প্রতিজ্ঞ হেনরি বিনস তাই এর শেষ দেখে ছাড়বে।
◾পাঠ প্রতিক্রিয়া :
দীর্ঘ সময়ের অপেক্ষা পর যখন থ্রি এএম সিরিজের বই এলো, তখন আর অপেক্ষা করার সুযোগ নেই। দ্রুত পড়ে ফেলতে হবে। কারণ কাহিনি যেখানে সমাপ্ত হয়েছিল, তার পরবর্তী ঘটনা জানার কৌতুহল তো ছিলই+।
থ্রি এএম সিরিজের সবগুলো বইয়ের মধ্যে “থ্রি ফিফটি থ্রি এএম” বইটিকেই আমার সেরা মনে হয়েছে। কলেবরের বিস্তৃতিই হয়তো এর কারণ।
এই গল্পটা শুধু হেনরি বিনসের না। গল্পটা হেনরি বিনসের বাবা রিচার্ড বিনস-এরও। এই গল্প একদল যোদ্ধার, যারা নিজেদের ইচ্ছের বিরুদ্ধে বিরূপ পরিস্থিতিতে যুদ্ধ করতে গিয়েছে। যুদ্ধের ক্ষেত্রে হয়তো অনেকের অনেক কল্পনা থাকতে পারে, হিরো হওয়ার বাসনা থাকতে পারে। কিন্তু যখন বাস্তবতার সাথে পরিচয় ঘটে তখন আসলে পিছনে ফেরার উপায় থাকে না। তারপরও অনেকেই থাকে যারা যুদ্ধক্ষেত্র থেকে পালিয়ে যেতে পারলে বাঁচে। এবং সুযোগ নেওয়ারও চেষ্টা করে।
এই গল্পটা ভাতৃত্ববোধেরও। বন্ধুত্ব বলা যায়, কিংবা ভাতৃত্ব — একবার যখন কোনো শপথ নেওয়া হয়, কিংবা কথা দেওয়া হয়; তখন সে কথার নড়চড় হয় না। অপরিচিত অনেক মানুষ যুদ্ধে গিয়ে পরিচিত হয়। বিপদের সময় হওয়া সম্পর্ক মাঝে মাঝে অটুট হয়। এই গল্পে দেখানো হয়েছে, যতই ঝড়ঝাপ্টা আসুক, বিপদ পিছনে নিঃশ্বাস নিক; নিজের শপথ থেকে পিছপা হওয়া যাবে না। অন্যকে যে কথা দেওয়া হয়েছে, তা যেকোনো মূল্যে অটুট রাখতে হবে।
কিন্তু একটা সময় আসে, যখন নির্ভার হতে মন চায়। যে কথা জমা আছে, তার ভার আর বহন করা যায় না। তখন পরিত্রাণ পাওয়ার একটা সুযোগ খোঁজার চেষ্টা করা হয়।
থ্রি এএম সিরিজের অন্যান্য বই হেনরি বিনসের জবানিতে জানতে পারি। এই বইয়ে হেনরি বিনসের ভূমিকা কম রয়েছে। বইটিতে তার উপস্থিতি তার জবানিতে বয়ান করা হলেও বাকি ঘটনা প্রবাহ নাম পুরুষেই বর্ণিত হয়েছে। এই গল্পের অনেকাংশে জুড়ে ছিল ইনগ্রিড ও রিচার্ড বিনস। হেনরির মায়ের ঘটনাও এখানে রয়েছে। তার ভূমিকা এখানে নতুন রহস্যের জন্ম দিয়েছে।
১৯৭১ সালে ভিয়েতনামের যুদ্ধের যে ক্ষেত্র লেখক ফুটিয়ে তুলেছেন, সেই সময়ের পরিস্থিতিতে মানুষের মনস্তত্ত্বের ছন্দপতন গুরুত্ব পেয়েছে বেশ ভালোভাবেই। লেখক স্বল্প পরিসরে বর্ণনা করলেও বেশ ভালোভাবেই সামলে নিয়েছেন সবকিছু। তখনকার সময়ের কথা পড়তে ভালো লেগেছে। যুদ্ধের বর্ণনা, চীন-আমেরিকার দ্বন্দ্বের পরিস্থিতি, বাঁচার তীব্র আকাঙ্ক্ষা যেন ফুটে উঠেছিল প্রতিটি বাক্যে, প্রতিটি ছন্দে। এখানে প্রত্যেকের মনস্তত্ত্বের বেশ গভীরে লেখক পৌঁছুতে পেরেছিলেন। ফলে সেই সময়ের বিভীষিকা অনুধাবন করা গিয়েছে।
লেখক বইটিতে বেশকিছু সাবপ্লটের অবতারণা করেছেন। আপাত দৃষ্টিতে গল্পের সাথে সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ না হলেও পুরো সিরিজ বিবেচনায় গুরুত্বপুর্ণ ছিল। যেমন প্রেসিডেন্ট সুলেভানের নির্বাচনী প্রচারণা। এখানে লেখক যে চমকের অবতারণা ঘটিয়েছেন, পুরো সিরিজ যারা পড়েছেন তাদের বিস্মিত হওয়া স্বাভাবিক। সেই সাথে হৃদয় বিদারক ঘটনারও উপস্থাপনা ছিল। আমি জানি না কেন, বইয়ের যে চরিত্র ভালো লাগে তাদের হারিয়ে ফেলার ক্ষেত্র লেখক তৈরি করতে পছন্দ করেন। তাই সেই ঘটনা মনের মধ্যে চাপ সৃষ্টি করেছে, ব্যথিত করেছে।
আমি বেশ উপভোগ করেছে কোর্ট মার্শালের যুক্তি তর্ক। বিশেষ করে সাক্ষীদের জেরার ঘটনাগুলো ভালো লেগেছে। প্রশ্নে জর্জরিত করা, উত্তর ও যুক্তিতর্কে সত্য খুঁজে বের করার চেষ্টা আমার সবসময় পছন্দ।
আমি থ্রি এএম সিরিজকে হালকা ধাঁচের থ্রিলার হিসেবেই মনে করি। আর এভাবেই সিরিজটি আমার ভালো লাগে। সবসময় ভারী থ্রিলার পড়তে ভালো লাগে না। যুক্তিতর্কের কচকচানি, জটিল তদন্ত প্রক্রিয়া ছাড়া খুব কঠিন প্লট না থাকার কারণে সিরিজটি আমার প্রিয়। হয়তো এই কারণেই অনেকের ভালো লাগে না। কিন্তু সবসময় জটিল বিষয় পড়তেই বিরক্তবোধ হয়। এখানে থাকা টুকরো টুকরো ঘটনা, হালকা ধাঁচের তদন্তের মাধ্যমে রহস্যের গভীরে পৌঁছে যাওয়ার প্রয়াস বেশ সহজবোধ্য। শেষে এসে সবকিছুই লেখক মিলিয়েছেন বেশ দক্ষতার সাথে।
লেখক যেহেতু ছোট পরিসরে গল্প লিখেন, এরমধ্যেই মূল ঘটনা সাবপ্লটসহ সবকিছু ফুটিয়ে তোলেন, তাই কিছু জিনিস আড়ালে চলে যায়। যেমন রিচার্ড বিনসের আইনজীবীর ভূমিকা এখানে ছিল না বললেই চলে। মূল ভূমিকা ছিল ইনগ্রিডের। তবে হেনরিও তার স্বল্প সময় যথাযথ ভূমিকা পালন করেছে।
কিন্তু এখানে গুরুত্বপুর্ণ ছিল হেনরির বাবা ও মা। তাদেরকে নতু�� করে আবিষ্কার করা হয়েছে। সেই সাথে ১৯৭১ সালের যে কয়জন সামরিক সদস্যের কথা উঠে এসেছে, ছোট্ট পরিসরে বেশ ভালোই উপস্থাপন করেছেন লেখক। তাছাড়া শেষদিকে হেনরির পরিবারে নতুন সদস্যের আগমন নতুনের ইঙ্গিত করে।
ও হ্যাঁ, আরো তিন দস্যু তো এখানে আছেই। ল্যাসি, মারডক, আরেকজনের নাম ভুলে গেছি। হেনরির ল্যাসির সাথে কথা বলা আমার বেশ মজা লাগে। এটা হয়তো সিরিয়াস থ্রিলারের সাথে যায় না, কিন্তু এত সিরিয়াস হলেও তো চলে না। কখনও জীবনের কঠিন মুহূর্তেও নির্ভার থাকতে আমোদের ব্যবস্থা করতে হয়।
◾অনুবাদ, সম্পাদনা ও অন্যান্য :
সালমান হকের অনুবাদ নিয়ে কিছু বলার মতো ধৃষ্টতা দেখানো বোধহয় উচিত না। বরাবরের মতো সাবলীল ও আরামদায়ক অনুবাদ।
সম্পাদনার ত্রুটি না থাকলেও বেশকিছু টাইপিং মিসটেক ছিল। বিশেষ করে ৎ এর আগে এ-কার, যেটা ব্যাকরণগত নিয়মে সম্ভবত সঠিক নয়।
প্রচ্ছদ, বাঁধাই, কাগজের কোয়ালিটি সবকিছুই চিরকুট সুলভ ছিল। সালমান হকের অনুবাদের মতো চিরকুট প্রকাশনীর প্রোডাকশন কোয়ালিটি নিয়েও অভিযোগ করার সুযোগ নেই।
◾পরিশেষে, যেখানে শেষ হয়েছে থ্রি ফিফটি থ্রি এএম, সেখান থেকেই হতো ফোর এএম শুরু হবে। শেষাংশে লেখক আরেকটি ক্লিফহ্যাঙ্গার রেখে নতুন রহস্যের আভাস দিয়ে রেখেছেন। সাথে একটি সমাধানও আছে শেষাংশে। হেনরি বিনসের বাবার রহস্য তো সমাধান হলো, এবার মায়ের হবে কী?

আমি থ্রি এএম সিরিজকে হালকা ধাঁচের থ্রিলার হিসেবেই মনে করি। আর এভাবেই সিরিজটি আমার ভালো লাগে। সবসময় ভারী থ্রিলার পড়তে ভালো লাগে না। যুক্তিতর্কের কচকচানি, জটিল তদন্ত প্রক্রিয়া ছাড়া খুব কঠিন প্লট না থাকার কারণে সিরিজটি আমার প্রিয়। হয়তো এই কারণেই অনেকের ভালো লাগে না। কিন্তু সবসময় জটিল বিষয় পড়তেই বিরক্তবোধ হয়। এখানে থাকা টুকরো টুকরো ঘটনা, হালকা ধাঁচের তদন্তের মাধ্যমে রহস্যের গভীরে পৌঁছে যাওয়ার প্রয়াস বেশ সহজবোধ্য। শেষে এসে সবকিছুই লেখক মিলিয়েছেন বেশ দক্ষতার সাথে।
লেখক যেহেতু ছোট পরিসরে গল্প লিখেন, এরমধ্যেই মূল ঘটনা সাবপ্লটসহ সবকিছু ফুটিয়ে তোলেন, তাই কিছু জিনিস আড়ালে চলে যায়। যেমন রিচার্ড বিনসের আইনজীবীর ভূমিকা এখানে ছিল না বললেই চলে। মূল ভূমিকা ছিল ইনগ্রিডের। তবে হেনরিও তার স্বল্প সময় যথাযথ ভূমিকা পালন করেছে।
কিন্তু এখানে গুরুত্বপুর্ণ ছিল হেনরির বাবা ও মা। তাদেরকে নতু�� করে আবিষ্কার করা হয়েছে। সেই সাথে ১৯৭১ সালের যে কয়জন সামরিক সদস্যের কথা উঠে এসেছে, ছোট্ট পরিসরে বেশ ভালোই উপস্থাপন করেছেন লেখক। তাছাড়া শেষদিকে হেনরির পরিবারে নতুন সদস্যের আগমন নতুনের ইঙ্গিত করে।
ও হ্যাঁ, আরো তিন দস্যু তো এখানে আছেই। ল্যাসি, মারডক, আরেকজনের নাম ভুলে গেছি। হেনরির ল্যাসির সাথে কথা বলা আমার বেশ মজা লাগে। এটা হয়তো সিরিয়াস থ্রিলারের সাথে যায় না, কিন্তু এত সিরিয়াস হলেও তো চলে না। কখনও জীবনের কঠিন মুহূর্তেও নির্ভার থাকতে আমোদের ব্যবস্থা করতে হয়।
◾অনুবাদ, সম্পাদনা ও অন্যান্য :
সালমান হকের অনুবাদ নিয়ে কিছু বলার মতো ধৃষ্টতা দেখানো বোধহয় উচিত না। বরাবরের মতো সাবলীল ও আরামদায়ক অনুবাদ।
সম্পাদনার ত্রুটি না থাকলেও বেশকিছু টাইপিং মিসটেক ছিল। বিশেষ করে ৎ এর আগে এ-কার, যেটা ব্যাকরণগত নিয়মে সম্ভবত সঠিক নয়।
প্রচ্ছদ, বাঁধাই, কাগজের কোয়ালিটি সবকিছুই চিরকুট সুলভ ছিল। সালমান হকের অনুবাদের মতো চিরকুট প্রকাশনীর প্রোডাকশন কোয়ালিটি নিয়েও অভিযোগ করার সুযোগ নেই।
◾পরিশেষে, যেখানে শেষ হয়েছে থ্রি ফিফটি থ্রি এএম, সেখান থেকেই হতো ফোর এএম শুরু হবে। শেষাংশে লেখক আরেকটি ক্লিফহ্যাঙ্গার রেখে নতুন রহস্যের আভাস দিয়ে রেখেছেন। সাথে একটি সমাধানও আছে শেষাংশে। হেনরি বিনসের বাবার রহস্য তো সমাধান হলো, এবার মায়ের হবে কী?

আগের ঘটনা সব ভুলে যাওয়ায় শুরুর দিকে জটিল লেগেছে । এগুলা একটানা পড়ে ফেলার জিনিস। শেষে গিয়ে সেই সামনের পর্বের জন্য ঝুলে থাকা । ডিংব্যাটদের ঘটনা সামান্যই ছিল, এটাও হতাশ করেছে।

However, this book is not just about Henry Beans. It takes us back to 1971, during the Vietnam War, and explores the untold history of Henry's father. Every page holds a twist, making it a truly great read.

OTT thriller-ish tale. The main character from the previous stories in this series plays less of a part in this one, but an enjoyable story none the less. Frustrating ending though 🤷🏼♀️ I’m guessing one last tale to come?!

6th in the Henry Bins series. Henry has a sleep disorder; ever since he was born, he sleeps 23 hours a day, only being awake between 3:00 and 4:00 am. This book focuses on his father, who is court martialed, much to Henry's surprise because he didn't know his father was ever in the military, much less served in Viet Nam and deserted. The senior Bins is accused of murdering his superior officer, which Henry knows just couldn't be true, but his dad won't defend himself. In mad dashes of one hour a day, Henry gets to the bottom of the problem. The plot resolution was quite unexpected. Good stuff, although as with the previous 5 books, I had to knock it down a star because of the unnecessary and silly telepathic exchanges Henry has with his pets.

Ugh, I love this series. It really doesn't seem like something I'd enjoy, but I can't get enough. It felt like this installment would never get here.
There's a lot going on in Henry's life these days and we're learning about some serious deception that he hasn't yet discovered. The main plot about Henry's dad was tense, interesting, and kept me guessing.
I look forward to finding out more about the changes in Henry's life and about what exactly is going on with those running the country.

এই বইটা আগের বইগুলোর মত এক্সাইটিং না। কিংবা কে জানে কয়েক বছর আগে পড়ার কারণে, বয়সের পরিবর্তনে, এক্সাইটমেন্ট কেটে গেছে হয়ত। হেনরির বাবা রিচার্ডকে ঘিরেই আবর্তিত কাহিনী, কোর্টের কথোপকথন, সিম্পল কিছু ডিটেকটিভ কাজবাজ।
উপদেশ হলো, পড়ার আগে ১৯৭১ এর ভিয়েতনাম যুদ্ধের ক্যাম্পগুলো, ভিয়েতনামের বনজঙ্গল, এসব পিকচার বা ভিডিয়ো দেখে নিতে পারেন। এর ফলে বইয়ের দৃশ্যগুলো কল্পনা করা সহজ হবে।
উপদেশ হলো, পড়ার আগে ১৯৭১ এর ভিয়েতনাম যুদ্ধের ক্যাম্পগুলো, ভিয়েতনামের বনজঙ্গল, এসব পিকচার বা ভিডিয়ো দেখে নিতে পারেন। এর ফলে বইয়ের দৃশ্যগুলো কল্পনা করা সহজ হবে।

If you've been following the adventures of Henry Bins and his bunch of dingbats (his word, not mine) from the beginning, you may be disappointed that they're not the main heroes this time (although the book is not completely without their tomfoolery!).
3:53 A.M very much belongs to Ingrid - Henry's very pregnant wife - and revolves around Henry's father Richard, whose story comes to light in flashbacks and during his trial.
As at the time of writing this review, there is no blurb for this book on Goodreads. Without giving anything away, I'll just say that the main plot is about Richard standing trial, and Henry and Ingrid trying to clear his name. The subplot is linked to events in the past that create more mystery.
All the major characters who appear throughout the series are back - POTUS, Henry's mother, Ingrid's cop partner Billy - although some feature more prominently than others.
This instalment has more mystery and suspense than the others, I think. It doesn't read like a standalone though. Everything that has happened so far in the previous books leads up to the events here, and the story may not make as much sense without that prior knowledge.
Similarly, this book leaves a loose thread that sets up the story for the next (final?) book in the series.

As this is the 6th book in this series (and I've read and reviewed the first 5), I obviously like it. To me though, this book felt more like a novella or a short story. It felt very superficial in the fact that it felt like the storyline was just glossing at the surface level - almost just giving an overview without really delving in too deep to anything.
If I'm being honest, this book made me realize that there was a lot that I had forgotten from the previous books. I kind of wish there had been a little more recap with some of the information because while I think I understood SOME of the underlying things going on...I also think that there were too many things that I missed. Without going into spoilers, there are several plotlines going on at the same time (the issue with the President, the thing with Henry's mother, then there is the whole Vietnam thing that really felt just "thrown" in there)
With that being said, it was great to jump back into Henry's world - where he has one hour a day to live his life. There were a couple more times that I thought, "really, you're not afraid of just dropping here at 3:59 am...?" That, to me, felt a little unrealistic - especially when one of those times was at someone who was not a family member or friend and actually on the opposing side. But, I digress.
Henry is a likeable character and then there is his cat. Love, love, love those conversations. :)
Since apparently, things have not been tied up in several of those open story lines, we will be hopefully getting a book 7. I will definitely be looking forward to jumping back into this zany world.

Nick Pirog has done it again! Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any better, 3:53 a.m. raised the stakes in every way. Henry Bins has always been such a unique and lovable character, but in this book, we see him face even deeper challenges that pulled me in emotionally as well as kept me on the edge of my seat.
The pacing is nonstop, the twists are smart, and the story feels bigger and more intense than ever before. I loved the mix of mystery, danger, and heartfelt moments, there were times I laughed out loud, and other times I genuinely felt moved. And of course, Lassie continues to be the best sidekick a reader could ask for.
This series is one of the most original I’ve ever read, and 3:53 a.m. is proof that Nick Pirog hasn’t lost an ounce of creativity or heart along the way. If you’ve come this far with Henry, you’re in for an incredible ride. I’m already wishing for more hours in Henry’s day, because I never want this story to end.

There are very few authors who I will automatically read every single book they write, but Nick Pirog is one of them. I have waited so long for this book and it did NOT disappoint! I think it’s the BEST book of the WHOLE series! I couldn’t put it down and read until 3am just to finish it! It’s not always easy writing a book with varying timelines but I thought this was done really well and it definitely kept me guessing the whole time. The ending was the best part - so unexpected but so AHH!!! I’ll be salivating for the next book to come out! Well done, Nick, well done!

This was my least favorite of the Novellas in this series. Henry was not really a major character in this novel. The story revolves more around his father and Ingrid.
The plot focused a lot on the activities of Henry’s father during the Vietnam War. This included some flashbacks. I found this plot a bit hard to follow with too many minor characters to keep track of.
The last 90 minutes or so things got interesting and I loved the ending.

It seemed a bit complicated at first, as I had read it after a long time, but after a while, I remembered the events of the previous books in this series, so I had no difficulty reading it later.
I liked the book quite a bit. I have to admit that the author has a pretty good ability to hold the reader. I am excited for 4:00 AM. I hope the author will write the book and release it in the market soon.

Hope for another installment soon!
This series is great and the last book is no exception. The books start out really short but the last one was longer. I don't usually read short books but these are great with a lot of humor, mystery, excitement and intrigue. The conversations Henry has with his cat are hilarious.

This book is my favorite from the series! Henry and Ingrid are parents now! Although they didn't get to that happy moment without a bunch of turmoil! In true Nick Pirog fashion, he sucks you right into the storyline and has you flipping the pages well into the night! You have to read this series! You will not be disappointed!

I fear this may the end of this fascinating, intriguing, one-of-a-kind series. There are many other options and avenues to pursue. The storylines include his new daughter, his lifestyle- did Mom fix the formulation - what happens with the Mole or moles within the government, etc. Does Ingrid enjoy motherhood. And if course Team Rampage - love Lassie!

Decent addition to the Henry Bins series.
This follows Henry and Ingrid as their due date looms closer.
Also looming are the trial of Richard Bins, and the election.
As always the pacing is fast, you can't go slow when you're only awake for 1 hour a day, and the characters are amusing and full of heart.
Hopefully there will be more at some point.

March 6, 2025This is a story more about friendship and promises. I waited five years for this book and had forgotten the stories from the other books in the series. However, this book is not just about Henry Beans. It takes us back to 1971, during the Vietnam War, and explores the untold history of Henry's father. Every page holds a twist, making it a truly great read.
