Ella is having a rough time of it after her boyfriend commits suicide but the police think that is a lie, placing her under suspicion. What no one knows is that her boyfriend was abusive and she was well on her way of being free of him when he took his life. In the wake of his death, she loses her job and is quickly starting to swim in debt. When she meets Cash Bachman in the cemetery (she was visiting her ex-boyfriend’s grave) one night, she doesn’t know that her life is about to change for the better.

It started off strong but it quickly started to suffer from “I am a story with no conflict”. So it fell flat with nothing to make it stand out amongst the others.

Damn were they hot, like holy shit I had to jump my hubby for some relief hot! Shanna knows how to write a sexy scene, she writes them to perfection! Now onto the plot. I swear this book will pull you in. I couldnt put it down. There was one scene inparticular where I was in tears! I felt like my soul was touched!

Overall, another amazing book from Shanna! I cant wait for the next book in this series!

JUST KNOW—SHE’S MINE

The Bachman legacy continues with a few new twists. Anyone who has read Ms. Shanna Handel’s stories revolving around the Bachman clan will understand. For those who haven’t, enough of the Bachman standards are laid out in the story that you won’t feel left out. While the Bachman family has many businesses, some employees are not Bachman; it is a standard that people strive to achieve. One of the most coveted is to become a Bachman Beauty, but that is by marriage to a Bachman man.

The story’s plot will have Ella at a cemetery in New York visiting the grave of her previous boyfriend. She is still haunted by that night and is still under police investigation as a potential suspect. Her world is out of control, her job has been terminated, and she stumbles upon a man in the cemetery. Cash Bachman is a haunted man, preparing for the future. Seeing Ella in the cemetery has the dominant side of him coming out quickly, taking charge, and ordering her around. Making her accept a ride with his driver back to her apartment.

“I don’t take no for an answer.”

The story has the perfect amount of mystery, suspense, suspensions, danger, dominance, and submission. Of course, Cash will learn everything he can about the elusive Ella Anne Hart, and when she goes to Preston to terminate him as council, she will be given a new lease on freedom—or is it a prison? It comes with a contract for three weeks, working for Cash Bachman as a secretary, but he holds all the control—how she dresses, grooms, and his discipline. Cash expects total honesty and isn’t afraid to push Ella’s buttons.

Cash: Were you scared? When you read the contract?
Ella: Yes. I was terrified when I read the contract. I still am. I mean, what woman in her right mind signs something like that from someone like you?
Cash: Maybe one that’s looking for a little order in her life of chaos.
Ella: I don’t know. I mean, maybe under everything I was intrigued—or curious—or, I don’t know. It was insane. I knew I should have signed. But maybe—there was a part of me that was intrigued.

“This is madness, having her work for me, having her sign my contract. She’s just a stranger I met in a graveyard. Yet something about her pulls me toward her like the pole of a magnet.”

The story is an erotic mix of dominance and submission, and Cash pushes Ella to the edge and then is there to catch her when she topples over. She has a streak of defiance to see if he means what he says, and he does. I love how she has a way of remembering, word for word, what she reads, and he makes her quote it to him—there is never a misunderstanding; it is all straightforward, so no excuses. Cash doesn’t push her about the night of Aaron’s death, but he knows she needs counseling to help her. When the three weeks are up on their contract, threats and messages send Ella running to Cash for help, and he does just that. Taking her to his home in the Village and keeping her safe from the outside world—but what about from him?

The story has the good, the bad, and the ugly of people, and it all comes out. We learn that, deep down, Cash is a caring man, one who would do anything for his family—and those who are important to him. The dance of dominance and submission between Cash and Ella is one that they both crave and desire. While Ella isn’t a Beauty, she is accepted by the Beauties, and her self-esteem shines because of it. With this addition, they are changes coming to the Bachman ways, to the Village, and best of all, to Ella and Cash.

Cash: God, I love you. Being back here—it makes me know I was right all along.
Ella: What do you mean?
Cash: In the graveyard that night. The first moment I saw you, I just knew. I knew I wanted you. I knew there was something about you I’d never be able to forget.
Ella: I thought you just needed a little control in your life…
Cash: That too. But my need for control doesn’t explain the fact that I could never stop thinking about you. Not for a single second.
Ella: Well, if that won’t make a girl come—I don’t know what will.

Beauties and Billionaires will continue with Preston and a girl he met when he was a teenager staying with his father at Cedar Creek. Now he is on his way there; his father has died, but what became of Jules Verduce, the preacher’s daughter? The girl he has never forgotten about.

DNF @ 52%

I couldn’t finish this. It was hard to read. While the editing and syntax are great, the characters are not. They’re borderline awful. What I mean is that they’re like cheap cardboard cutouts of characters. Like a bad play with really forced acting. The fmc is…I hate using this word, but she’s a total bimbo. She has nothing in her head. She’s constantly speaking like, “Oh gosh! Wow! Yes, sir! May I please? You’re too kind! Oh golly gee! Oh my, wow! So pretty!” And that’s pretty much it. There’s is very little about her that’s like able.
And Cash is just your cookie cutter, so-called good-looking bosshole. Could be literally anyone. Nothing special.

And then the whole premise of “The Bachmans” and “The Village?” Utterly bizarre doesn’t even begin to cut it. Only men can become a “Bachman” and they’re forced to legally change their last name to Bachman when they join this “brotherhood” cult. Then you have a little Stepford village somehow secretly hidden right in Manhattan that no one knows about and Google Earth hasn’t found? It’s seven or eight blocks and no one knows about it? And it’s filled with coffee shops and diners etc, all with employees, but no one knows about it? And the misogyny is just too much. Women in The Village aren’t allowed to even open doors. It’s tacky and hard to read. Oh plus, there are the “Beauties,” aka contracted sex dolls. Literally. The women all absolutely LOVE being “Beauties,” and some are just dying to be chosen as a Bachman Beauty. It’s very cringe.

Lastly, since I didn’t finish the book, I have no clue how it actually ends, but it felt overwhelming predictable. My guess is Chloe is the murderer, she was insanely obsessed with Aaron, she framed Ella out of envy/spite, and at some point she’ll probably attack/try to kill Ella too, but end up getting caught, essentially clearing Ella’s name for good.

Sadly, I do not recommend this book.

This is the second book I've read in the Bachman world, and I loved it even more than the first.

First, (and this is true of the first book I read), I love the way Shanna Handel writes the D/s relationship and the discipline. Whether just for sex play or discipline, it's never over done. In this one, Handel sets the stage by having the MFC getting turned on at the first threat of a spanking. She's curious but hesitant, believing she should think it's wrong, not be turned on. He, of course, sees right through her and challenges her. It's a nelievable transition to te lifestyle. Honestly, when I'm in the mood for a story with this kind of kink, I'll definitely go for one in the Bachman world.

Second, I loved both characters. Yes, he's an alpha dominant and controlling, particularly when her health, well being and safety are concerned; but he's also caring, attentive and ultimately, even sweet and tender; always supporting her. She's an intelligent, strong woman with a heart of gold, who's having some major troubles. But as mych as he's helping her, it will turn out that she helps him just as much.

Lastly, I love that even though this is in the same world, it's a totally different storyline with a completely different feel. In this story, both the MMC and MFC have issues their dealing with and some secrets. One of these is a very emotional situation and at some point will have you in tears. THAT is why this is a 5 star read for me. I love stories that move me emotionally.

Not my cup of tea

2.5 ⭐️. This book was just kinda weird for me really.

Ella was really just empty headed. More concerned with Cash and sex and the “beauties” 😖 than than the huge life altering event she just went through. She got fired and was a person of interest in a death. No biggie right 🤷‍♀️. I really couldn’t relate to her character at all, I didn’t feel she was given a personality.

Cash to me became a totally different character within a few weeks of the storyline. He was better written than Ella but not by much.

And the premise of the secret village in the middle of New York City. Really?? Like no one around this village would notice the peoples comings and goings? No airplane/helicopter/drone/satellite would ever see it?

1 and done with this book series.

When I initially read the blurb for this book, I remember I was so excited..."mafia," D/S, nanny and boss...all tropes I love. However, to my utter disappointment, this novel delivered none of these well!

The D/S relationship was so underwhelming - Cash was like a wannabe Dom and barely emitted any alpha vibes. Biggest turn off ever.

I sped through this because I kept hoping it would get better, buy sad to say, it never did. It was just ok. 2 🌟

I did a happy dance of excitement when Shanna Handel reached out and asked if I wanted an ARC of Cash Is King! I absolutely adore the Bachman Brothers and I was so ready to head back to The Village in this one! Cash and Ella were both so perfect and I always love the Dom/sub relationships of the Bachmans! There was a lot going on plot-wise in this book, I kept getting dragged in for more! I really enjoy the overall plot of the Bachman Brotherhood and how Handel continues to develop and evolve it overtime! This book gets 5 stars for everything: spice, plot, characters, etc! Can’t wait for Preston’s book next and the rest of this Bachman series!

'Cash is King' is book one in Shanna Handel's "Beauties and Billionaire" series and, I'll admit it, I can't get enough of the Bachman men or their world. The men are always Alpha, Dominating, and sexy while keeping things running smoothly and protecting what is theirs and the Beauties? Those are their women, loved and married, protected and disciplined, spoiled and made to follow the rules. I immediately got the familiar butterflies in my stomach right as we were in the cemetery. Ella's been let go from the Primary School she taught at and finds herself in the cemetery again for reasons of her own. Cash is going through his own personal hell and he winds up in the same place. Neither knew the other but both needed some control in their life. As soon as he instructed her to get in the car and allow his driver to take her home, I could only think to myself … "Yes, baby we're back.!" You know I'll devour these as quickly as I can.

I wasn’t planning to read or review this book this week, but I’ll confess the cover drew me in, so here I am. “Cash is King” is a story in the Bachman World of interconnected books by author Shanna Handel. It’s a ‘Beauties & Billionaires’ story. If you’ve never read any books about the Bachman Brotherhood, don’t worry - you’ll understand everything perfectly.

Having enjoyed many books by this author, I expected certain things when I started this one. I knew the characters would be interesting. I knew Bachman men are extremely alpha. I knew there would be good dialogue, some domestic discipline, and plenty of steam. I expected some sincere emotion. I didn’t expect a story that would put me on a rewarding emotional rollercoaster and make me cry more than once!

Ella is at a New York City cemetery in the middle of the night, visiting the grave of her previous boyfriend. She’s still traumatized by the night of his death and is still a ‘person of interest’ to the police. Everything in her life is a mess. She feels out of control. Cash Bachman is also in the cemetery that night. He’s trying to mentally reconcile the past and the future, while struggling to make sense of things that don’t make sense. When he encounters Ella in the cemetery by herself at such a late hour, his dominant, protective personality takes over. Ella can’t understand why she responds to him, but she does, and she allows his driver to take her home.

Cash wastes no time using his connections to learn everything he can about Ella, including her legal and financial problems. When he finds out she’d hired Preston Bachman as her attorney, Cash immediately decides what he’s going to do. When she meets with Preston to terminate him as her lawyer because she lost her job, (which wasn’t even going to let her stay current with the legal costs), she’s not expecting him to present her with a job offer from Cash. She also doesn’t expect the accompanying personal contract from Cash promising to cover all of her legal expenses if she signs an agreement making him her Dominant for three weeks. You’ll have to read the book to enjoy all that happens next, but I will tell you that the fast-paced story is sometimes startling and always entertaining.

A few observations I’d like to make, some of which involve a few of the great secondary characters in the book: When he and Ella take a trip to Greece, Cash keeps making special plans that are repeatedly ruined and it’s just so funny. Christian’s note absolutely wrecked me. I wanted to reach into the book multiple times and hug little Janie. I’d like to bake with Betty and play Candy Land with Ace. I ended up with a couple of unanswered questions, but the overall story was so great I will let that go.

“Cash is King” has a delicious blend of suspense, love, hatred, loyalty, betrayal, D/s, setting and pushing boundaries, and the endless voyage of self-discovery. It also makes you think about the family we are given, the family we choose, and the family that chooses us. After an excellent conclusion the author leaves us with an epilogue that has me eagerly anticipating the next book, which sounds fantastic.

A simply wonderful read, great characters and plot I loved every moment
Cash Bachman is a man with a reputation and he is at the graveyard he sees a young woman at a gravestone and insists that she allow his driver to take her home and then as he finds a little out about her, he decides to offer her a job at his office.
Ella cannot believe that her life changed so dramatically, accused of killing her boyfriend a very trouble artist who had hidden his moods and threatening behaviour well, even her oldest friend it seemed had thought him wonderful and a great artist.
Cash is carrying a heavy burden with his oldest brother being unwell and him having a young daughter who he has been helping take care of, it comes as a surprise when Janey expresses her pleasure at seeing her teacher after she had to leave the school, she had been teaching at to prevent tongues wagging and bad press.
When she started working as Cash’s secretary, she had to sign a non-disclosure agreement but she also agreed to allow him to discipline her if he saw fit in those first three weeks. Ella had never known a man like Cash and found some of his discipline highly erotic, also his personality she found very attractive and soon realised her feelings for her employer were growing.
Living under Cash’s roof after the threats became more insistent accusing her of being a “Murderer” and then the break in at her apartment had left her very shaken and being in the safety of the Bachman environment made her feel a lot safer, she also enjoyed the relationship with “The Bachman Beauties” as they were known.
This is a truly wonderful read and there is a wealth of emotions the couple have to deal with bearing in mind they are responsible for Janey and she is extremely bright and aware of her fathers’ illness. The threats to Ella are also a worry and the subsequent attempted kidnapping is the final strew for Cash and he realises that he has to man up and tell Ella how he truly feels.
This is another truly wonderful book by Shanna Handel, I have loved everyone of the Bachman books they are always so well written and the characters are simply amazing.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Steam: 3.5/5. Strong Language: 3.5/5. Triggers: Suicide, Illness, Abuse, Stalking, Violence, BDSM, Anal Sex

This was a bit of a cluster for me. This felt like two different stories trying to be told and neither one getting the attention or follow through that it deserved. The first half of the book is about Cash, our Alphahole boss, and Ella, our doormat sub, dealing with the fallout of her ex's death which she is suspected of. She is also being stalked. This issue comes to a unsatisfying conclusion about 60% in and then nothing. The other part of the story deals with Cash's brother Christian. He has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and is leaving behind his preschool daughter to Cash. This storyline too, is cut short. The whole book is choppy. There are no defining paragraphs. You read one sentence from a work scene and the next one picks up days later. This was frustrating. Also, this book is part of the Bachman universe. This is the beginning of a spin-off series. There were parts of the book where I felt like I was missing information. If you're starting a new series, I shouldn't have to read all of the other books for it to make sense.

5 ⭐ I loved it. I’ll revisit it like an old friend. This book is moving right into my favorites category. I would recommend it to everyone, even people that don’t ask. I’ll one click this author’s work in the future.
4 ⭐ A great read. I’ll probably reread again when feeling nostalgic. It was enjoyable, not portable magic. I would recommend it.
3 ⭐ I liked it. It was a nice way to pass the time. I doubt I’ll reread it. I’d recommend it to someone asking for a specific genre. Thanks for the memories.
2 ⭐ I completed the Herculean task of finishing this book. At times, it felt like I was Prometheus and the suffering would never end. It just wasn’t for me but I applaud the author for their effort.
1 ⭐ I couldn’t finish this book or I wish I hadn't finished. How do I put this? It’s not me, it’s you.

Cash is King is the first book in the Beauties and Billionaires series, connected to the Bachman Family. Ella has no job due to being under suspicion when she gets an indecent proposal from Cash Bachman. Cash is king of his world, but while things are spiraling out of his control, Ella is not. When her past collides with their future, will they be the rock that each other needs, or will everything crumble apart?

Oh my goodness, I just loved this book! I was completely hooked right from the very beginning and I couldn’t put Cash and Ella down! I found myself constantly putting myself in Ella’s shoes, wondering if I would do the same things she did or share what she didn’t. It was honestly kind of thrilling, because I wasn’t sure what would happen next. Ella is a strong character. She’s brave and courageous, sweet and yet has a spicy and sassy side. I loved her vulnerabilities and I really enjoyed her interactions with Cash. Cash is a man who values being in control, and I loved that while his world was spiraling, the only thing that made sense to him was Ella. They had some amazing chemistry and passion, but they got to share pieces of themselves that they had never shared before, and I thought that was just as lovely. I loved the drama and bits of danger sprinkled in through the book, too. I’ve been such a huge fan of the Bachman Family books, and I love this addition to the story already! I can’t wait to see what will come next!

This Bachman series just keeps getting better and better. At some point you’d think the storylines would get repetitive, but the only repetitive thing is the quality. Ms. Handel is, first and foremost, a spanking romance author and this story is most definitely a beautiful romance but it is so much more. The author weaves her romances within a context of real life issues, both good and bad. While detectives leave no stone unturned, Ms. Handel leaves no emotion untapped. Cash is your typical alpha male Bachman, but there is trouble in his personal family life. Ella has no personal family but there are all kinds of trouble in life. There is so much more I would like to tell you about their relationship, their issues and the outcomes but that would involve giving out spoilers so I will have to bite my tongue. Suffice to say that the story contains everything you have come to expect from a Bachman story along with deft handling of some serious emotional issues. I would caution that there may be serious trigger issues for some, including abuse and suicide. For me, it is her best story yet. 5 Stars.

A good return to the Bachman series. I liked Cash and Ella. Ella was a really a nice person. She was absolutely likable. I couldn't imagine Cash not being with her, even when he was trying to keep his distance. Cash for all his Alpha ways, had a distinctly softer side for the right people.

The whole situation with Ella, regarding her ex-boyfriend, was pretty bizarre. It was easy to figure out who was involved. I thought it was interesting that Ella didn't pay attention to her gut instincts, either before becoming involved with Cash or afterwards.

Christian and Janie's story was a little sad, even with the HEA. I also wonder if what is going on in the Village will change the vibe of the Bachmann series.

I'm thinking maybe not so much as the flavor of each spin off is a little different anyway. Is there such a thing as a So Far So Good romance? It was more than HFN, but not quite HEA.

4/5 – #1 Beauties & Billionaires; Available on Kindle Unlimited

This was a really good spicy book! I enjoyed Cash and Ella’s characters, and the underlying story of the murder mystery for Ella had me interested in the story for more than just the spice. I’m excited to see how the series unfolds. And the author did a great job on the focus of domestic assault, and just, wow, how BDSM can be written to make it seem so less taboo is so cool.

Spice: 3/5 – Kinky, Multiple Scenes, and lots of Dirty Talk (BDSM, Office-place romance, Mafia-esque vibe).

Brief Plot: At a cemetery, Cash and Ella meet, and Cash is immediately enthralled by her. When shes gone, Cash learns Ella is pending murder charges fo her ex-boyfriend. So to help her, he offers her a job as his assistant, but that comes with an NDA and A Submissive contract. Thrown into a mysterious world, Ella challenges Cash, while falling for him all at the same time. As they continue to grow close, they both learn the other's story, history, and secrets they have been keeping.

**I’m pretty convinced you should read Shana Handel’s Bachman Brotherhood Series first, but I think there wasn’t a lot I missed from reading this first. Probably more of the ‘story building’ of what the Brotherhood is about could be gained (may update this review if I read that series eventually)

I am so happy to be back with the Bachman Family once again. This story
has a compelling hero and heroine in Cash and Ella. They both oozed so
much emotion, confusion, and untapped desire as they struggled with
their budding relationship. My head was spinning as I found myself
saturated in their complex lives filled with angst, danger, romance, intense
sex, and punishment scenes.

A chance meeting late at night in a cemetery set off a chain of events that
Ella Hart could never of imagined. Cash Bachman was a man used to being
in control. He was immediately drawn to Ella like a magnet and was
determined to provide order to her chaotic life and prove her innocent as a person of interest in the death of her ex-boyfriend. Ella found herself working for Cash as his secretary, which led to some interesting scenes in his office
as he acted as her Dom. What started as a simple contract morphed out of control, with Cash being the shining star in Ella’s dark life.

I admired Cash’s strength and compassion as he maintained the charisma
and confidence one has come to expect from a Bachman. Ella was a
woman used to carrying the burden alone until she met Cash. Her
submission was a gift as she started to live the life she desired. A well
executed story with likable characters by this talented author.

This book bring us back to the Bachmans. It's been a little bit since we've had a Bachman story but there's a reason why the author has brought them back - their stories are wonderful. The men are the right mix of dominant, sexy, gentle and sensitive. The women are sassy and fun. This story is a perfect example. I loved Ella. She was fun, sassy, slightly unsure of herself, and someone I can totally imagine being friends with. Cash helps and supports Ella when she needs it, as only a Bachman man can do. This story had everything. There was giggles and happy times, sadness and tears, sexy times and worrying times. I liked almost everything about this story, but I would have liked a bit more of a 'what happened with...' in regards to the people that were causing Ella problems. This is a completely standalone, HEA story.

A story that is so real but a fiction with a beautiful HEA!

Ella was a teacher who was accused of murdering her artist boyfriend. She was fired from her job and she met Cash one night in the graveyard when she was visiting his grave. Cash took a liking and wanted to protect her. He did some checking and found out she had acquired Bachman Law firm. He devised a plan to take care of her and give her a job with Bachman Enterprises. Cash niece was her student who was neglected by her mother and Ella adored her. Cash brother was dying from pancreatic cancer and Cash was supposed to adopt her. They became a family that included Betty (the housewife) and Ace (Ella’s driver). I like how Shanna included an scenario that relates to what is happening today. Beautifully done!

I have been a fan of Shanna Handel for a while now and didn't think her books could get any better but I was wrong. I loved this story! I didn't want it to end. I can't wait for the next installment in this series. I have loved the Bachmans and their Beauties since the beginning. I loved the twist at the end.

Ella meets Cash in an unusual place. She is in need of some desperate help after being accused of murder. There is something about her that draws Cash in. Cash makes her an offer that she can't refuse. Before long, Ella is swept into the Bachman world. Cash is dealing with some things as well. They grow closer and closer. When she becomes in danger, will he be able to keep her safe?

I received an ARC from the author/publisher for an honest review.

A story that was captivating in its intensity. I felt the strong connection between the characters as the chemistry bloomed immediately then evolved and grew deeper as the story progressed. The characters were mesmerizing when they were together. The drama was present throughout the story which added an emotional impact as well as a suspenseful impact. I loved that Ms Handel solidified the connection to the series by adding in some of our favorites to the story - people and location. It’s always a pleasure to revisit characters and have memories from previous stories heighten the pleasure of reading her current book. Another winner to add to my library. I cannot wait to read the next book. I requested a copy of this book and am voluntarily writing a review.

I loved Ella from page one. She is sweet, and hard working. Cash is a typical Bachman, a hot dominant protective man. They spark and are good for each other. There are plenty of hot spicy sexy scenes between them where Cash pushes Ella and she loves it. There are also plenty of other elements that make this story a very interesting page-turner. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I highly recommend it. Another Bachman story. Hot and well done. Hopefully there is plenty more in this series.

Shanna Handel did a great job on Cash is King, it was a good story, it was written well, the plot was strong so wasn't Cash and Ella the characters. From the moment they met, they were drawn to each other, the connection was strong but their journey had many bumps along the way but they were made for each other, their attraction was strong, the chemistry was steamy, they were good together, they completed one another. I enjoyed their journey.
This was a good story. Thanks, Shanna Handel. Good work :)

As with every Bachman book, Shanna Handel brought out the big guns in this story with not one but two mysteries hanging over the heads of our protagonists. Cash is a bit perplexing at times as he blows hot and cold like he's PMSing but fortunately Ella has the patience of a preschool teacher. We do, as always, get our HEA, but we couldn't end any other way. Thank you, Shanna Handel, for continuing this series, and long may it continue.

Cash and Ella lite my kindle on fire! I freaking loved this book. This couple is full of complications and hot and cold. But dang when it gets hot, it will make you melt. Cash makes Ella an offer she can't refuse. Literally. If she does she might loose her lawyer and end up in prison. Cash himself is preparing himself for taking over care of a child. He shouldn't want to get involved with anyone but Ella calls to him.

If you know me, you know I love me a Bachman man!

Let me just tell you...you're gonna cry. I couldn't believe the amount of times I cried while reading...I think I'm still recovering a day later.

Cash and Ella run into each other in a cemetery. Not your typical beginning but it'll definitely hit you in the emotions.

The heat is off the charts!!!! Bachman men are hot in every way possible but good grief, I think Cash set my panties on fire!!!!

And Ella, I simply wanted to snuggle her up in a Beauties hug...you'll want to join in.

Read this book, but definitely have the Kleenex box next to you.

I loved being back in the Bachman world and I can’t wait for book two to come out. Cash is another strong, dominant Bachman, who likes control and Ella is a down on her luck woman whose life is spiralling around her, until Chase gives her what she doesn’t know she needs - his control.
The story was so good that I didn’t want to put it down. It has a mystery/suspense theme throughout but is carefully woven into the story. A well deserved 5 stars from me.

. Cash is King is the first book in Shanna Handel’s Beauties and Billionaires series. In this series, she continues chronicling the romantic journeys of the Bachman men. In this installment, readers witness the romantic journey of Ella Hart and Cash Bachman. Destiny brings them together one evening, around midnight, when both are visiting a local cemetery. This is a case of love at first sight. As in the case of the Bachman men, when they meet their soulmates, they pursue them. In no time at all Ella’s world is topsy turvy with Cash rescuing her. Can they find happiness? Will the ghosts of Ella’s past haunt her? To find out you must read this book.

Once again, Ms. Handel pens another riveting Mafia crime romantic suspense. She possesses a remarkable skill of creating diverse and appealing characters, both primary and secondary. Her lead characters fit the opposites attract theory. Readers will enjoy the chemistry between them. This book is well written with outstanding dialog and descriptive scenes that lends credibility to this romance. I enjoyed her use of a dual POV allowing readers to become better acquainted with Ella and Cash. Nicely done, Ms. Handel.
