The Fire Inside, by S.A. Crow, is Book Two in the Fire Series. It tells the story of lingerie designer Anna Haun and former Navy Seal Tony Lisi who are reunited when he and his former squad members rescue her from abduction and brutality.
Anna’s father, a retired Navy Seal admiral, contacts Tony to save his daughter from the clutches of her sadistic ex-boyfriend Sebastian. Tony immediately gathers his team to save her. There is more to the abduction than is first thought, and Tony and his team must rescue and protect her until they can uncover it.
Written in tight and fast-paced dual P.O.V., the story immediately pulls you in and might even elicit sentimental tears by the end of the first act. Tony has hidden his love for Anna ever since he was a young Seal under Anna's father's command. The passion and care with which he begins to show Anna how he really feels is written with such emotion that you can almost feel his heartache. Equally, Anna’s feelings of rejection and confusion from all those years ago are captured with the accuracy befitting such a naïve, young woman. Anna and Tony show us strength, resilience and vulnerability. We are compelled to care about them to not only survive but succeed.
Despite the dark and brutal issues the story addresses, the author handles it with the sensitivity that the genre demands. The Fire Inside is a worthwhile addition to any Romantic-Suspense collection.

The Fire Inside was an amazing read. Having read the first book in this series I loved being able to see those characters show back up to help Anna and Tony when they need it.

Anna is a spunky, amazing woman who has been through more than any person should have to go through in life. Coming out of it stronger than ever because of a fire burning inside her. She takes no crap and leads her own path.

Tony is an amazing counterpart to her. He knows that he wants her, but that it has to be on her own terms and is an amazing and constant source of support for Anna after her abduction. He knows that letting her lead is going to be the only way that their relationship will grow.

The twists and turns of the story keep you on edge, wondering who is really behind it all. Just when you think you have the mystery figured out, a new lead pops up and makes you rethink everything you thought you knew.

Pick Up Book 1 if you haven't and def take time to read both books in this amazing series.

I enjoyed the story line of this book. The first few chapters really captivated me wanting to read more to see what was going to happen to Anna. Was she going to be okay? was she going to find love? How was Tony going to affect her throughout the story?
I did not enjoy that some chapters repeated themselves from Anna's point of view to Tony's point of view. They were to similar and were like I was rereading the chapter again. Lots of same sentences and what characters were saying. Overall a good story line and an easy read.

This was a good read. I didn’t read the first book in the series but this one still worked great as a standalone. It started out intense and continued to keep the reader engaged. I’m glad it was able to convey the horror of what was done to Anna without getting too descriptive. This had the right balance.

Side note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review
