Quick Review

I really wanted to like this book. The author had an excerpt on TikTok that was so flaming hot I immediately purchased. Disappointment struck when that beautiful excerpt was born out of the FMC, Mia, cheating and breaking up with her boyfriend by forcing him to listen to the MMC, Michael, bring her to an orgasm.

Spice 🌶🌶🌶
Overall ⭐️⭐️

Tropes/TW: Age gap, best friend’s dad, cheating, controlling spouse/emotional abuse
Kindle Unlimited: No
Cliffhanger: Yes
Series: Currently 2 books

In depth review

Immediately the storyline starts with a steamy scene that is anything but for Mia as she robotically goes through the motions with her boyfriend, Mason. She’s miserable in that relationship but since he’s wealthy and pays for her mother’s assisted living home, she stays. The storyline focused on sex scenes more than anything else, leading to flat characters not fully developed.

Despite how Mia wanted to be nothing like her father, not wanting to cheat or use anyone for their money, she did exactly that at the first opportunity. Maybe I wouldn’t have felt so negatively toward her relationship with Michael if it had developed at all before they immediately jumped into a physical relationship. Or, you know, if she had broken up with her boyfriend first. She traded up, for sure, but she cheated to do it and then relied on Michael for his money. Different guy, same story.

I rated the spice a 3 because of the quality. If it were solely based on quantity, it would be a 5. There were some hot scenes, the dirty talk was there and I enjoyed the near exhibition they skirted near to but color me confused to find myself annoyed at the frequency.

This story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and I don’t care to find out what happens next.

QUICK REVIEW
I don't usually read books with cheating trope but this book actually did it for me. Well, it is not to say I think cheating is okay but in this book, h's boyfriend is really a mega jerk and . The forbidden aspect is well written in the first part of the book and with H being a wonderful book hero, it makes me root for a HEA for the MCs.

This is the 1st book in ( Addicted to Him) series.
Not exactly sure how I feel about this book.
The storyline focused on sex scenes more than anything else, leading to flat characters not fully developed.
I didn't know that this book has a cheating trope and the whole time I'm reading it I felt uncomfortable because I don't usually read books with cheating trope.
This was honestly disappointing. I really wanted to like this book.

great quick smut read

This got straight to the business. Not alot of inner monologue. We get straight to the sex. I think I needed a quick light heated smutty read. There was obviously some writing issue so you will have to use your imagination on how certain positions are achieved or how we get from one scene to the next but if you have gotten to this review then Im sure you will survive

Another of Emilia's books down.

I did enjoy this one, not nearly as much as Step Brother. Which is surprising because I LOVE forbidden age gap.

I just felt like there was just a little something missing. But I can't quite put my finger on it. I'm hoping that after Indulge Me, it will all come together and I'll absolutely love the duet. 🤞

🌼 Serie: Addicted to Him
🌼 Protagonistas: Mia y Michael
🌼 Tropes: Best friends dad, Age gap
🌼 Calificación: 2/5 ⭐⭐
🌼 Spicy: 🌶️🌶️

The sheer amount of times the words “pussy” and the phrase “two fingers pinching my nipples” came up drove me crazy! Very annoying.

Not much went on apart from pure sex (repetitive sex throughout the whole book). The main characters didn’t even get to know one another properly before the confessed their love. No relationship development apart from the constant sex in pretty much every chapter. Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading it, hence my rating.

This was honestly disappointing. I read a snippet from a group i was in and was so excited to read, i was let down. If you're looking for a book with mostly spice and no story line, this one's for you. The spice is fine, I just felt nothing for the characters and couldn't really get into it. I'll probably try reading again in the future because it's not like me to rate a book so poorly. I just feel like I needed more out of it

Mia’s mom ends up in the hospital for numerous brain surgeries. Although Mason has been paying her medical bills, he hardly shows up for Mia while her mom is there.
Melissa & Serena take Mia out for the night to a party. Mia doesn’t want to go but her mom insists. Melissa tells Mia she has a surprise for her. Melissa’s surprise freaks Mia out & she leaves.
While Michael & Mia are at his house, Mason calls. Michael puts her into a situation that forces Mia to choose between him & Mason. Later on, Mia overhears Melissa talking with Mason & the implications impact their friendship.

This read like a Jessa Kane novella, more than I was expecting it to. The steam was there, and chemistry between the 2 leads, but that was both the beginning and end of the positives. I feel as if there could've been more depth to the characters,as nothing about their pasts was well and truly fleshed out until the last 20% of the book.
Serena, and Viktor, (2 side characters) were the only two characters with redeemable qualities,in my opinion.
Everyone else just acted as if cheating, other woman drama, and bed-hopping made for a good romance novel. Overall,I was disappointed, and this reminded me to just stick with Kindle Unlimited books, instead of wasting additional $ on books not included.

The description for “Excite Me” is for fans of Carian Cole’s “Torn.” I wouldn’t go as far as that. It is an age gap, and there are themes of it being forbidden. But I didn’t get that vibe of “Torn.” However, it is good. Some readers may view the relationships in the story as cheating. Variations of cheating or cheating themes don’t bother me in a story. It’s fiction in a fictional world with fictional characters, and I go with it. It’s all part of the story. There are a ton of shmex scenes. I liked Michael and his initiative towards Mia. As well as how he steps in when Mia’s friendship with his daughter crumbles. He’s pretty patient with her, considering he’s technically the “other man.” I liked the story, and I’m jumping into part 2.

Excite Me

Wow, this is a story I can sink my teeth in. Mia and Michael are a match definitely, but they have been through the wringer. I have to say that for a woman her age she has been acting like a woman twice her age. Always giving her all, while others keep taking and feeling sorry for those not worthy of her. I must say that Michael is the man that turns her world upside down. I feel he gives her courage to stand up for herself. But what I am curious about is how will he handle the relationship with his daughter and her best friend. It a fine line, but I’m can’t wait to find out.

It was kind of mid. There seemed to be some minor continuity errors, but the main drawback was a lack of context, setting, and subtext provided. The story really drove from interaction to interaction between the main characters, which don’t get me wrong, is way better than the opposite, but I felt like the main character’s were pretty divorced from reality.

It comes as part of a duet, but honestly I feel pretty good with how this one ended. The summary for the next book just sounds crazy dramatic, so I’ll pass.

Good read

Not exactly sure how I feel about this book, I obviously enjoyed it as I rushes straight to book 2.

It has a good story line, good twists and likeable characters and as much as I like a good steamy scene, it feels like that is all the relationship is, the scenes are constant, I feel like it was not needed as much as it is in the book.

saying that, I'd marry Michael myself tomorrow...who doesn't need a partner like that.

Meh. This book was just "ok" for me.

I felt like when the h said no to the H, he didn't take her at her word and then con-noncon'd her into everything. Pushed the envelope a bit. But I did like it when in the middle of their sexinanigns the H dialed her old H and made him listen a bit. 😉

This book ends on a tad of a cliffhanger. The end of this book is knocking of the door of the second. Literally. But I think I went far enough down this rabbit hole...I don't feel the need to dig any deeper.

delectable

I really enjoy Emilia Rose books but thus far I had only read her paranormal books. Also I tend to avoid age gaps, but an excerpt lured me and made me try this. I wasn’t disappointed at all. It’s engaging and well written, the characters are complex and have depth, and the storyline is interesting and unpredictable. Definitely recommend and I’m looking forward to reading the next book to see how the rest of this story unfolds.

lots of sizzle and drama

Excite Me by Emilia Rose: 4 stars
I couldn’t help but love Michael and Mia! Their chemistry is hot, but they have to sneak around because it’s forbidden on sooo many levels …. Which adds to their sizzle. A lot of drama with a cheating boyfriend, a sick mom, a best friends betrayal. Ends with things going well, but kinda with a cliffhanger unknown.

I listened to this audiobook, and I really had trouble getting through it. Even though it was audio.

The narrator was super boring and monotone, even in the spicy scenes.

In theory it could’ve been an amazing book, however it’s basically sex scene to sex scene and a little bit of plot in between.

The FMC is such an annoying whiny girl. Everything is bad, oh my life is so hard, I’m so sad.
It’s really putting me of off this story.

I throughly enjoyed this novel. I love the way Emilia Rose writes, her style and the way she creates a first hand look for the reader to really dive into her characters is amazing. I'm not really into cheating troupes but she wrote this one very well although there were things that I don't agree with it was still very well done :) and I will be reading the next one <3

Audiobook……The story line was good, could have been better, but I didn’t feel like it was forced. The author wavers good at making the story flow effortlessly. I like the way the characters were brought in and how the FMC learned to stand on her own once she realized she didn’t need to stick around simply because her boyfriend was paying for her moms nursing home.

I can’t wait to read the next book in the trilogy.

Some of the scenes were 🔥, but they couldn’t overcome the feeling I kept getting that the FMC was being manipulated by the MMC. I kept getting the ick about how he treated her. Also, when they almost always do it from behind, that makes it hard for me to feel the intimacy between them. Lastly, I don’t want to see the words “I/He/She gulped” ever again.

This book is spicy but that's really the only exciting thing about it. It's absolutely horribly written with half done build ups and jumping scene to scene with no attempt at transitions. There was a "cliff hanger" at the end of the book but I really don't care to know what happens....

This is a steam, forbidden age gap romance. Michael and Mia have great chemistry. This does contain drama and so much heat. I do feel that it was a bit rushed in the development of storyline and relationship. However it is an entertaining, quick read.

Quick, smutty, easy read. Things got real messy real quick and things were heavy on the drama. The conversations were all extremely immature but oh well. Also some issues with the writing, the H’s eye color magically changed. BUT, for what it is, not a bad read.

ARC Review. This was an easy to read romance story and the spice was spicing. I loved how independent the FMC was portrayed. The way Adrian loves Aless so fiercely left me swooning.
