To live in a world where both good and evil exist as mere humans, we must have some higher power watching us. Angels come in many forms, but the most common sightings mentioned were of another human looking out for another. If many more people prioritized providing help to those in need, the world would be a much better place to endure.
In "An Angel Named Zabar," author Bobby Miller shares various short stories of people experiencing an angel encounter. The best common denominator is someone named Zabar, who is an angel. He is on a mission to stand guard and protect people from the dangers of life while reminding individuals of God's existence. Society has long forgotten their natural ways, but meeting Zabar, they realized how far from God they were.
I enjoyed reading stories of how people came to meet Zabar, which usually happened unexpectedly and at odd moments. What stood out to me the most was how calm many of them were as if there were a sense of calm in the atmosphere. The reminder that God exists and is waiting for His children to come to him was a highlight thought for me. Angels are working overtime, protecting us throughout our lives, and though it might feel like an instinctual gut feeling or a small whisper, it is a way to save us from potential harm. I highly recommend this book to encourage others that we do have guardians watching over us and protect us from harming ourselves permanently.
