I hate to say anything negative because I love the author and am sure they worked hard on this book, and especially because I was so into the first two. This one was hard to get into. It felt short and rushed and like nothing really happened until the very end, which is a cliff hanger that will lead into the next book. I love the steamy part of it but it’s a little frustrating that it seems like Aurora and Ares can never have a conversation about anything serious and just have sex every time instead of a real conversation. I am still looking forward to the next book as I feel like it’s set up for a lot of interesting things to happen.
I found this book the worst in the series. I generally feel if you missed it you’d be absolutely fine.
I may give spoilers ahead if you’ve not figured it out already-
Although I had points that annoyed me in the fist two I just went with the writing and took it as it was those point weren’t the end of world and didn’t impact the story line.
But this one no It really grated me, it didn’t flow and the irritations in my eyes affected the minimal to no story line that there is. It was also really repetitive like the author really didn’t know what to fill the story with. I thought I’d read one chapter twice. Because there’s is no prior knowledge laid out in the series we’re yet to officially know that some characters are the reincarnated souls of gods however the writing is written especially in the dream state that we know that, I know it’s not rocket science to figure it out considering there called Aurora and Ares. Half way through this book the author remembers that we don’t official know that and then tells us that, which is confusing in itself because the other two books are written like they are wolves with personas of god and the last two books are written as if they are gods, if we’d have had the knowledge before it would have given better empathy and understanding when they go into these visions of the past. There are a variation of visions of their “past” from conversations or battles they have been in and their injuries or even loved ones who have been killed, it’s written like we understand the difference between past life memories and powers of the gods. Because until you finish the series I don’t think you can understand them both but this book isn’t enticing enough to want to make you carry on.
More ground work in explaining the characters background would have been so much better. Or if the story was Aurora and Ares’ characters were finding out background of the others.
I’m still in shock at that ending. Lots of emotions swirling inside me right now…and I know it’s just a story, but at this point I’m too invested in the characters.
Anger, betrayal, sadness, joy, relief…this book had me feeling all of these and more!
I was a little confused by the “dreams” at first, but quickly worked out they were memories of a past life. Showing that Ares and Aurora were always meant to find each other again in any life they have.
That chapter where Mars appeared had relief flooding through me as I thought he’d maybe just separated from Ares and become his own person…but then the end of the chapter ripped my heart out!
The sadness surrounding Marcel refusing to mark his mate because he knew he was leaving her and if successful in his task wouldn’t be coming back as a means to save her. I mean, I didn’t really like the guy for about a book and a half, but he’s grown on me because of his love for Charlotte.
And the anger and rage I felt for Medusa betraying them by sending all the wolves to the underworld and stealing the baby away without Aurora and Ares being able to say goodbye (or even hello).

Oh my heart, first I will say read your triggers for this but it was beautifully done. As someone who feels like like could have been written so wrong, it was written so right. This story is getting better with each book. I love this little tater chips!! And my heart bleeds for this power couple, I am on to book 3. If I found this sooner it would have been a series I would have read as it came out. These are great.
after loving the first book and liking the second book, the third book was a major disappointment. it felt like nothing had really happened until the last ten pages of the book. the characters' actions and thoughts were so repetitive, and i frankly found aurora, ares, and charolette to be annoying. also, the plot was unnecessarily confusing??
I liked this change of things and the throwbacks to a previous era. Aurora/Dawn and Mars/Ares are just mend to be in any life they are born and to love each other. A lot of questions from previous books are answered here but again there are even more to learn and I expect to find out in the 4th book.
With this book I mean that physically excited or I'm crying because it's so heart wrenching this so far is one of the best series that I have read and I'm getting ready to start the book 4
Oh I love the smut! Ares is the biggest turn on ever!!! I took a big break from these books but come back & wow I am nervous & soo excited for the next one. Hoping it turns out for the best, my fingers & toes are crossed for them all!
Wow! Very sad and heartbreaking but exciting and thrilling! I love Aurora and Aries they are so cute and awesome! I expect great things from them especially after that heartbreaking cliffhanger. I can't wait for more!
BROO WTF- I've to admit, this book was not as good as the first two. i mean, there were a lot of things, the emotions, twists and turns (some were predictable).
there was so much pain. like i was flabbergasted at Aurora for handling so much emotions while carrying a baby inside her and for Ares too it was so difficult but they're like super wolves goddamn.
as painful and underwhelming (sometimes) as the rest of the book was, ending left me questioning so many things. i didn't expect THAT. the author left it at a cliffhanger and im so confused because WGAT THE FUCK DID JUST HAPPEN
one more thing though, it seemed like Aurora and Ares never really talked about their feelings. there was no actual conversation. i know people have their own ways to deal with their sorrow but they always gotta have sex to comfort each other. i wanted to see more cute moments and where they talked more. BUT LIKE MOMENTS WITH RUFFLES were so cute and interesting in the all the books. I LOVED IT.
there are so many thoughts and emotions about this one but imma leave it here because i thought this was gonna be the last book in the series but there's one more. i have to read it now because i wanna know what was that and what's gonna happen. AHSJSKSKSK
Such a Cliffhanger . I don't Know how I'm m possibly going to make it until the next book comes out. Emilia Definitely knows how to keep you in suspense. It's a perfect mixture of action & Romance with enough smut to keep you blushing through the entire book.
