In Emigre 69 , we acknowledge our sadness in losing one of the great graphic resources of our time by celebrating its achievements. We are grateful to Mr. Vanderlans for leaving us with this rare behind-the-scenes lookthe ins an outs of each published issueat Emigre 's amazing run. More than twenty-five contributors and colleagues, including Lorraine Wild, William Drenttel, Michael Bierut, Steve Heller, Ellen Lupton, Armin Vit, and Peter Bilak weigh in and bid the legendary magazine farewell.
I loved this book. At this point, I had already quit my job and was trying to figure out my next steps. All the little anecdotes in this book were comforting. It reminded me that though being a designer/business owner isn't easy, it's an adventure and it's supposed to be fun. Hmm...maybe it's time to revisit this book again.
