3 Colors Trilogy #3

A Brighter Yellow

Rate this book
A scientist, a wolf, and the woods…
not all paths leave the forest.

Ochre Lucas ought to stand out—he’s a brilliant environmental scientist, six-foot-five, and Fae-human mix who has to hide his pointed ears—but compared to his sisters Scarlet and Azure, Ochre has always felt lost and overlooked. But when Azure sends Ochre on a mission to save the life of Anna Allanach, a shifter wolf from Virginia, Ochre finds himself attracted to Anna in a way that makes him willing to risk everything for her to notice him. Years earlier, Anna Allanach received a reading from a fortune teller that said the path to true love lay with Liam Grayson and she believed it… right up until the day that Scarlet Lucas, Ochre’s younger sister, became Liam’s mate. Since then, Anna has been on a mission to help wolves connect with human mates, but the deeper she delves into the magic that now separates the wolves from humans, the more at risk she becomes. Anna only trusts her friend the witch, Charlie Peters, but when Charlie goes missing, Anna must turn to Ochre for help. Ochre and Anna hunt for Charlie, but soon find themselves on a desperate mission that could change the lives of Supernaturals everywhere. With lives on the line, Ochre realizes that he’s going to have to tread a new path if he wants to save the girl of his dreams and the future.

Gosh, Anna is adorable, but a little annoying. She's always saying and doing things that Ochre doesn't expect but also just assumes she knows what he's thinking. Growing up in a family that didn't support her, Anna has major trust issues, especially when it comes to her missions. It takes a while for them to overcome their communication issues, but they eventually work through it and are able to help thwart an evil warlock's plans and undo a spell that's harmed the supernatural community for generations. This book wrapped up the Lucas siblings story but I'm looking forward to reading more stories based in this world.

A Brighter Yellow
3 Colors Trilogy, #3
by Bethany Maines

This is the final part of the Lucas family story following the Lucas siblings who are part human and fae with their other additional powers. Ochre Lucas is a 6ft 5inch environmental scientist who’s sister Azure has asked him to keep shifter, Anna Allanach, safe as she has had a vision about her safety. The story follows the journey to keep the human/supernatural safe from renegade warlocks.

A well written quick easy read which js very enjoyable and grabs from first page to last 4.5/5

A fantastic finale to the 3 Color’s trilogy by Bethany Maines and it’s the turn of Ochre Lucas to meet his match. Ochre was a bit of a hippy character, an environmentalist happier hiding out in the wilds than dealing with people and on the surface a bizarre mate for the secretive wolf shifter Anna who is waging a personal war against warlocks but there was a lot of witty exchanges between them and great chemistry. I also loved Anna’s confrontations with her overprotective father who surprisingly seemed slightly afraid of his daughter The underlying story arc with the evil warlocks and their plans for world domination – think Pinky and the Brain - continues in this book and while it doesn’t really come to a conclusion by the end of A Brighter Yellow it does open up the opportunity for new series linked to this one so hopefully we haven’t heard the last of the Lucas siblings and their mates

The third book in this series does not disappoint!

I loved getting advancement on the big story, which I'm loving, and I loved reading Ochre's story.

The development of Ochre and Anna's story was amazing. I love that they butt heads so often but are still smitten with each other.

This book felt so short, mainly because I can't get enough of it. Im really eager to see where the story will go next and who will be at the centre of it. It's developing so well and I know it's only going to get better!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Well this one was super and an amazing finale! Floved this series, it was fun and easy! The covers were very charming! My first series by this author and I’m glad I asked for it!

What did I like? The book has an environmental aspect that blends beautifully with the story. Add the wolves and a little angst made it a worthy read. Highly enjoyable!

Would I recommend or buy? These pretties would look great on my shelf! I would definitely read more by this author!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review!

A Spicy Fairytale for Adults

I love this trilogy SO much!

If you want that HEA feeling & need a “quick fix” for your Fantasy Romance slumps- this is that!

It was a start to finish for me. I couldn’t stop until I got to the end. Page after page, I completely captivated.

This is a trilogy I will read again, and again. This is my Goldilocks zone for Faery Romance! I only hope there will be more from this world bc I loved it SO much!

This 3 book series turns out to be one of the most enjoyable, just sexy enough and definitely smart enough UF adult romance I've read in a long time. Book 1 starts a little cheesy, but soon it smoothly slides into a great story.
