Skye Dun #1

The Alpha Dragon's Instant Family

Rate this book
Alpha dragon shifter Warrington Vol has the perfect life. Everyone has a little dragon in them, but he’s the full dragon king of his high-rise castle, along with his best friends Seamus and Harrison. He might had left his overbearing, aristocratic family behind, but now he has the Skye Dun clan and their successful empire. Too bad his well-ordered life gets a jolt when he meets the man he thinks is his mate at a club, then has to leave him without even getting his name due to an attack on his high rise that leaves Harrison gravely injured.

Sebastian Addams is doing the best that he can. He’s just a guy with wings and a single scale on his cheek, as well as his two younger siblings to care for, so he’s pretty low in dragon society. Needing to provide for his family, he looks to a personal assistant job to a business tycoon, but when he walks into the interview, he discovers the man who loved and left him the previous night without even a real introduction. Sebastian wants to slink away, but he needs this job. Badly.

Warrington, though, is overjoyed that Sebastian has walked into his office – now he doesn’t have to go searching for his mate with nothing to go on. The trick will be convincing Sebastian that they’re fated to be together, which gets more complicated when Sebastian winds up pregnant. But Warrington thinks his instant family is amazing and sets about making Sebastian see it too. Now if they can just stay safe from the bomber who seems determined to put an end to Skye Dun clan, they just might get their happy ending.

Often referred to as "Space Cowboy" and "Gangsta of Love" while still striving for the moniker of "Maurice," Sean Michael spends his days surfing, smutting, organizing his immense gourd collection and fantasizing about one day retiring on a small secluded island peopled entirely by horseshoe crabs. While collecting vast amounts of vintage gay pulp novels and mood rings, Sean whiles away the hours between dropping the f-bomb and persuing the kama sutra by channeling the long lost spirit of John Wayne and singing along with the soundtrack to "Chicago."

A long-time writer of complicated haiku, currently Sean is attempting to learn the advanced arts of plate spinning and soap carving sex toys.

Barring any of that? He'll stick with writing his stories, thanks, and rubbing pretty bodies together to see if they spark.

I liked the premise of the book. We have an Alpha dragon, Warrington, who is not looking for a mate because he figures that isn't in the cards for him. He & his two best friends have made a pretty great life for themselves. Sebastian is a very sweet Omega who is trying to raise his brother & sister after their parents were killed. Sebastian is a hybrid dragon, his brother Brock who is 12, is just entering puberty & appears that he is going to be a full dragon & his sister Brynn who is 5 welds magic. I liked all the characters just fine. What I struggled with, is there is no world building. Sebastian states that he is no better than a human. Well, why is that? Harry, one of Warrington's chosen brothers, is in a car bombing at the beginning of the book. The group they think is responsible for it isn't really explained what their beliefs are why they are doing these things. Things with Sebastian, don't appear to be what they are, but it's not really explained what is going on with him. Warrington goes by "W", which was pretty annoying & then, for some unknown reason, Sebastian starts calling him Dub & when we finally meet his Mom, she calls him Dubby. I really dislike odd name shifts through an entire book, especially if there is no rhyme or reason for it. Even though I think this could have used some better editing, I will be continuing on with the series as I want to see Harry & Seamus find their mates. Plus, I want to see the dragon's fly!

This was a nice easy read, very little angst.

I liked the relationship between Seb and Dub (I didn't like the shortening of Warrington's name to W as it took me our of the story each time he was called it.) They were a good pair. Dub really took to the family quickly which was good. The kids were portrayed well.

I would have liked to see a little bit more Alpha from Dub. He seemed really tame to me. I also wanted more of his background. This was a storyline that I felt needed more to it.

I did feel that some of the storylines were quickly dropped or just pushed aside and I would have liked a little more there (ie the bomber and both the pairs backgrounds). I would have also liked to know more about Seb's dragon. It as touched on but I needed more.

The secondary characters were all great and I'd love to see more of them in future books.

An ok read

I liked the idea and blurb of this book. While it was ok, I think it had the possibility of being better.

Sebs parents passed and he took on the responsibility of his siblings. But we dont know what he was doing before that. Was he in school, working parttime? Before a big job interview, he goes out the night before and finds someone for a bit of fun, they have unprotected sex and he vanishes with the mans name or number.

"W" is the man, obviously, and when Seb walks into the interview, W gives him the job. W keeps pushing the whole mates thing, while Seb keeps expecting him to leave for something more.

My dislike is the fact I felt like a third party watching a story play out, I personally prefer to be pulled into the story, which didnt happen.
Another annoyance was, W's parents are there one minute and gone the next, the whole point of them being there seemed to be to tell Seb, W is royality, but then nothing, a bit of a pointless chapter.
Finally another annoyance, Harry was blown up, there was random comments made about the bomber and then the second attempt, Unless theres more to this storyline in Shay or Harrys book, it almost felt like another pointless part to the story.

This is the first book in a new series by Michael, and if you’re a fan of the author, you’ll find a lot of familiarity here. The book is full of heat and eroticism, as well as instalove of fated mates, instant family combining with a found family, and a whole lot of sweetness. Throw in a dash of danger, and a male pregnancy, and that sums up the book well.

The story is told in alternating POVs, so we get to see both characters’ thoughts and feelings. I will admit that it felt to me as skimming just below the surface at times, and not a truly in depth study. Sebastian is probably the more developed of the two MCs, as he has layers that slowly unfold. He’s unsure and trying his best at the beginning of the story, and as the book progresses, we see more of his true self. More of his backbone, as well as his nurturing side. W is a bit more stereotypical as an alpha who is supposed to be hard nosed and ruthless, but melts for Seb and the kids.

Read Kris’ review in its entirety here.

WOW!!!

I already knew Sean Michael was an amazing author. I just had never read anything shifter by them so I had to check it out. Plus the blurb is a strong draw on it’s own. Man was this awesome. I am intrigued by the world created and love the characters. Brynn is totally adorable and Brock I think will amaze us. I don’t think we have seen just how amazing Seb is. I love the whole family and can’t wait for Shay and Harry’s stories. I hope we stay in this world for a while because it’s so exciting. Plus the little clues and teasers the author sneaks in are the best.

Sweet and fluffy ❤️

This one was sweet and fluffy one, defiantly insta love with a pinch of magic and suspense... I'm not even mad 😉 I loved how squishy it was, Warrington and Sebastian were adorable together... I am excited to read the next books in this series, it was a great start!

I am glad this is a trilogy

Dragons and more dragons. It shows us how chosen family can be just as strong as blood, even more so. Great story of a powerful dragon finding his fated mate and his chosen finds out what it’s like to be safe and loved by a dragon who accepts and loves his ready made family. Great story. Lots of steamy Alpha and Omega sex.

Oh, this is going to be a bad one, I can warn you in advance. It is just that this book needs some major proof-reading, beta reading, editing or just SOMEONE to read it and point out all these glaring holes that just ruin the reading for anyone who is actually trying to get into the story, not just sex scenes. Yes, I was hoping for a story, not just steamy scenes, go figure. I have nothing against books that focus solely on steamy scenes, nothing at all, I quite enjoy them on occasion, but they tend to be shorter, quicker and with less holes because the plot is secondary. Funnily enough, this one tried to be a full on story, yet the plot was barely 3rd in the list of focus points in this book. The first focus of it is definitely the romance and sex. I am still unsure about their relationship dynamics.
The second focus point was the sibling and family. Oh dear...
The third focus would be the plot then. The attack, the injury, the investigations, how it all makes sense and comes together beside some vague "oh right, there was something about this plot line I had to resolve at some point" ... It was.. somewhere, I am sure. Maybe stuck in the author's imaginations, or maybe accidentally got deleted from the final draft. I am sure it is somewhere out there, just not in this book.

Anyway. That is everything that bothered me in the first third of the book. And kept bothering me afterwards too, even when it got to be too much and I started skimming. I am sorry, but someone really should have read this before publishing, fixing all the holes, providing some editing on the rudimentary writing, pointing out how illogical and badly structured it is. I am sure there are people out there who will not be bothered by all this while reading it, who will enjoy the book nonetheless. There is a reader out there for every book, but for this one it is not going to be me.

The core premise is solid but the execution was hit and miss

I really struggled with this and I think I’m being kind giving it 3 stars. The premise was solid - I love dragons, I have no problem with insta love, a little bit of mystery sub-plot is always fun, and mpreg is awesome. The problem is the blurb promised so much and the book itself failed to deliver. Technically we got each of those items but they just fell massively flat. The first issue is the writing. I’ve read Sean Michael before (Manny books) and I don’t recall his writing being like this. It kind of reminded me of another author but was a messier/more frenzied version. Unfortunately, it came across like it needed some solid editing. The length was the next problem. I have no problem with the length as a concept but everything was pretty much done and dusted by 45/50% max. That can work with the last book of a series (where you’ve got lots of things to tie up and HEAs to see) but not with the first. If you’re going to write insta love it either needs to be shorter overall or the insta love needs to be followed with working on actual issues in the relationship. Those were hinted at but never really dealt with. Money was also overused. Don’t get me wrong, I have zero issues with rich characters or lots of money being spent, but everything was solved by flashing cash. With a longer book surely instead those issues could have actually been addressed? The mystery plot was blah and really not a plot. It seemed to operate solely to create a microsecond of an issue between the MCs. Then it pretty much just went away. It also bothered me that Sebastian was treated as if he had no right to do anything other than be pregnant and shop. He answers a phone and is marched away to ‘rest’ (and no he was not put on bed rest). Being pregnant does not mean you are incapable of doing anything. I don’t mind some overprotectiveness around a pregnancy but this was ridiculous.

It’s a pity, this had so, so much potential and could have been amazing but it was let down on so many fronts. If you love dragons you might enjoy it and maybe I’m just being a grump but it fell a bit flat.

ARC received from GRR for an honest review.

Alpha dragon Warrington "W or Dub" Vol is a wealthy business out at a club to unwind. There he meets omega 1/2 dragon Sebastain "Seb" Addams and there's immediate attraction on both sides. After dancing for awhile they find a handy storage room and get busy. Just as they finish W gets an emergency phone call and Seb runs off. The next day Seb arrives for his interview for a PA position and finds out it's with W. Seb needs this job badly because he's trying to raise his little brother and sister. W immediately hires him and starts pursuing him aggressively. It doesn't take long before Seb is pregnant and they are all moving in together. W and his friends Harrison "Harris" and Seamus "Shay" are being attacked by an anti-dragon group and it's getting closer to home. This has everyone on high alert.

This is an interesting story that grabbed me from page one and I didn't want to put it down until the last 4 or 5 chapters and then it slowed down. Seb and W have good chemistry (even though I think it started a little fast) and they get a surprise at the ultrasound. I liked that Seb started out feeling less than because of his 1/2 dragon status but by the end he comes into his own and is confident. I like the fact that his sister is special and I hope she eventually feels comfortable enough to start speaking again. The supporting characters are all well thought out and fleshed out but I feel like Seb wasn't fleshed out as much. I wanted more on his backstory. I'm looking forward to reading Harris and Shay's books. For me the romance was a little too insta love and progressed a little too easily but it's a good story. Too much unneeded sex scenes and not enough getting to know each other. Needed a little more world building for the start of a series.

Sean Michael’s Hammer Boys series were some of the first BDSM books I read years ago, so when I saw this ARC being offered it was an easy choice to go for it.

If you’ve read any Sean Michael, then you’ll be familiar with the style: possessive, loving, lots of ‘mine’ and ‘yours’ and a kinda insta-love. This just happens to be that but with dragon shifters. I was hoping for things to be more dragon-related, and for there to be more about them as shifters but it was all a bit surface. It seemed to be more of a reason for mpreg than anything, and a different kind of alpha shifter than a werewolf for example. I think this was as missed opportunity and the main thing that I felt was missing.

The basic story is fine, and it’s obvious that is planned to be at least three stories as the MC Warrington has two extremely close friends. I actually didn’t like Sebastian, and I can’t even say why. He just seemed like such a non-character to me, despite the fact that he had quite the interesting progression throughout the story with the fact that he had taken on his siblings after the death of his parents and his dragon attributes. There are intimations that there is more to Sebastian’s backstory that will probably/hopefully be explored more fully in the following books.

This was a nice, sweet and easy read, and very similar to the Hammer Boys but without the BDSM aspect, and I’m not saying that in a bad way. I probably will read the following stories when they are released now that I know what to expect.

3.5/5 for me.

Warrington heads to a club to lose himself and blow off some steam. He makes his way onto the dance floor and scents Sebastian. Their connection is instant. They dance, kiss and then find a place to take things further. Just as they finish experiencing an epic connection Warrington receives an emergency call that his brother Harry has been attacked. After taking it he turns to find that Sebastian has disappeared. He is distressed because he believes he has found his mate so in addition to his worry about Harry and trying to find the source of the attack, he now has to search for his mate. His fortunes kind of take an upturn when it turns out Sebastian is the candidate for personal assistant that he was interviewing the next day. They are both surprised, Warrington pleasantly so, Sebastian is a bit taken aback but he needs the job as he is caring for his two siblings. Warrington hires Sebastian and is upfront about him being the best candidate for the position and that he wants to pursue Sebastian personally. The beginning of family starts for these two and Sebastian's brother and sister. There is so much chemistry between these two and Warrington takes to the children right away and works to enfold this trio into the secure world that he and his two found brothers inhabit. This was a good first installment in the series and I will continue on to the next book to see what happens as Warrington, Seamus and Harrison search for the source of the danger that is aimed at them.

Warrington Vol feels his life is perfect. He has his two brothers of the heart, Seamus and Harrison. They own a business that more than provides for them. What more could he want? He meets his mate at a night club and everything changes especially when he has to leave when his brother and his business is attacked. W left so quickly he did not get a name and with no name, W will need to do some work to find his mate. Fortunately, Sebastien Addams walks into his office for an interview as his PA. Sebastien is devastated to find his new boss would be the man who loved him and left him the night before. Sebastien really needs the job as he is supporting his two orphaned half siblings and is really low in funds. W is delighted when Sebastien walks in. He is happy to now have an instant family and wants to prove that to Sebastien.

This was a delightful MPREG story which needs some work to tie up some loose ends. Sebastien and Warrington were fated mates and therefore had instant love to help along their romance. The world was intriguing but there were some things left out and some things left hanging. I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next one which will probably satisfy my curiosity about some things such as why everyone has some dragon in them?

No slow buildup to this series beginning book.
But what happens after their night club meeting at Wicked Wings is what had me caught up in this tale. Each recognizes their dragon side, no denying it, but Sebastian is in denial because of his flawed wings while Warrington Vol as a dominant alpha must woo Sebastian into accepting their inevitable mating urgers. After an abrupt emergency leaving by W Seb goes to aa much needed job interview for a PA job the next day and is startled to find that W is his potential boss. Throw into this mix is Sebastian's instant family of siblings, silent little Brynn who was full of magic and her older brother Brock. W is now faced with an on-the-spot potential family after so many years loneliness. Throw in an outside business takeover threat to W and his closest friends Seamus and Harrison aka/Harry and I found this to be an interesting mix. True to this author's exotic writing, there is that, I found this plot to be of a type I haven't read from this author before. It was a nice change of pace for me. There will be more promised to this series which I look forward to. I'm writing this ARC review with my honest and voluntary opinion.

Sebastian was just looking to get that itch scratched for the night
W just wanted to feed his desires
They found a bit more than they both bargained for when W finds his desires for the little omega far exceed a quick taste in the backroom

I am torn with this one - a bit like Sebastian regarding his heritage (a teaser if you will)
I liked the story line it was easy to follow with the right touch of angst, family, and romance. Kept me engaged and involved in what was happening. There are a couple of lulls in the storyline but nothing that would turn a reader off. The characters were easy to connect with and captured my heart right away and I am excited to follow the series.
My problem?
I needed was more information -
I have all kinds of questions about the world they live in!!
Why the guys created their own clan.
What is up with humans vs dragons?
Who is after them? And why?
Some things I know we will get answers to later, especially as this ends on what felt like the middle of a scene - Not really a cliff hanger more like a tune in next week type of ending lol if that makes any sense
I definitely will be reading the next in series

Such mixed feelings about this book
Firstly let me say I got this book from Gay romance reviews and now I’m choosing to leave my honest review.
I don’t know what to say firstly this is a first book that I have read from Sean Michael and I really like his style of writing but this book confuse me so much.
Usually when you read a book about an alpha you get a strong sense of masculinity and Power. And sadly I never really got that from Warrington. But what I really really really enjoyed was the relationship between warrington and his Omega Sebastian. In the way that Warrington took getting an instant family was just heart melting. What I didn’t like! I did not like Warrington being called W at all. It put me off totally. To the point that I found myself putting a book down just because I was getting annoyed with it. But I really really like the style of writing and I really want to read the next book in the series. I wish there was more information about everyone I think we missed out on a lot. I can’t wait to see what happens as the books go on And I really really hope we find out more about Sebastian’s brother and sister.

This story was more of a Finding your Family book than a Falling in Love story and I loved it. Sebastian and W meet one night by chance in a club and are quickly separated after a hot encounter. By pure luck they are reunited the next day during a job interview. There was instant chemistry between the Alpha Dragon and the Omega and they know they are meant to me. The Alpha Dragon’s Instant Family by Sean Michael shows how Seb and W work together to merge their two lives into one found family. I loved watching the Big Alpha Dragon morph into a loving family man and Dad. Seb has to learn to trust that even though it was fast, what is between him and W is true. The Author wrote a fun happy story with just enough intrigue into the secondary stories of bomings and magic to have me looking to see when the next book in the Skye Dun Universe Series is due out. I can’t wait to watch each Alpha find their true mate. I hope the author considers bringing us the stories of the children someday down the road as well.

This was a solid start to a new series. It got my attention in the beginning and kept me entertained as I read. I do feel like it could have been a little shorter, I found myself skimming parts of the book because they didn’t feel integral to the story.

After a chance meeting at a club, Seb & W meet again when Seb comes in for a job interview. This is definitely insta love, but that is to be expected from a fated mate story. I really enjoyed Seb & W’s romance and thought they balanced out well. Brynn and Brock were great characters as well and I am looking forward to seeing them grow in the following books.

This is going to be a series where you are going to need to read them all in order to follow the larger story. I am looking forward to getting some of the questions we were left with answered. I also hope Harry & Shay also have great love stories in the upcoming books. I’ll definitely be reading them.

I did receive a free ARC of this book but that did not influence my review.

I loved this story. Dragon books are an instant read for me, and I loved the premise of this book. The rich, alpha dragon stumbling upon his fated mate and convincing him they would work always gets to me. Sprinkle in that the omega has custody of his younger siblings and there is an anti-dragon group making their lives difficult and I'm sold.
I like that Warrington doesn't act like a high and mighty alpha. He is pretty laid back and relatable. He and his brothers have all decided to live a different life, than the ones they were born into and it was great to see. He doesn't act like he is above anyone and works to ensure that everyone who works for him are taken care of.
Sebastian is such a caring guy. Even though his life was upended by the sudden added responsibility of taking care of his siblings, he doesn't whine about it. He tries his hardest to make them feel loved and cared for.
This book sets up the world of Skye Dun great. We meet the important key players and are shown the enemy that will be popping up in future books. I recommend this book.

Sweet, instalove with a dash of suspense

Found family, fated mates, a bit of hurt/comfort and a dash of suspense - all wrapped up in an interesting story.
Warrington and Seb meet and have a brief, but hot encounter at a club before W (or Dub) is called away for an emergency. When they meet again, W knows that Seb is his mate and sets out to bring him, and his family (a brother and sister) into his life.
W and Seb made a really good pair. W was determined to make Seb and his siblings comfortable and accepting of him and his 'brothers', Though they fall very quickly for each other, it felt right (tbh, Seb did take some convincing so not really instant, but quick). The other part of the plot was the danger angle. Someone is terrorising dragon-kind and W has been personally affected, He's trying to keep his family and business safe, as well as get to the bottom of who is doing this and why. The mystery is not solved in this book, but W and Seb get their HEA.
Overall, a solid 3.75 stars (rounded to 4). Definitely want to read the next book.

Absolutely wonderful!

I loved this book! The story of Warrington (known as W to his friends) and Sebastian is sweet, sassy and sexy with a bit of danger and is well worth reading! They meet one night in a club and things heat up pretty quickly. But W is called away by an emergency before he can get Sebastian’s name or number. But Fate is on the job when Sebastian shows up at W’s office the next day for an interview. It works perfectly as W realizes that Sebastian is his mate. From there things only get better as Sebastian’s brother and sister move in with him in his company provided apartment and immediately latch onto W. There are some moments of danger as someone is threatening W, his friends and family but they will all band together to protect not only Sebastian’s brother Brock and his sister Brynn but the babies that are coming to join the family as well.

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

A Great Story

Sean Michael put together a Great story! Seb has custody of his younger sister and brother after their mom and dad died. After going out and having a hook up one night, the next day Seb goes for his interview, that he really needs, only to find it’s his hookup that he’s interviewing for the job with. Warrington is over the moon when in walks the guy who he hooked up with the night before. After getting a call that night that one of his best friends had been in a car bombing, Warrington realized that the guy had left without him getting his name or number. This was his chance to get Seb to stay close. Together they navigate through their feelings with one another, more attacks, and learning how to becoming more of a family. There’s a lot of smexy times but over all the story is wonderful, the plot is excellent, and I love the comical moments. A 5 star ⭐️ rating for Skye Dun Book 1. 💜

This is a new author to me and I quite enjoyed reading this intriguing Mpreg dragon shifter romance that has a somewhat instant love undertone. I would have preferred a more bit more details with regards to the world building but the characters have good chemistry & portray realistic emotional feelings throughout a very interesting plot.
There is: a rich alpha male dragon (Warrington aka W or Dub) looking for a mate, a hybrid male omega dragon (Sebastian) trying to the best of his ability to raise his siblings (Brock & Brynn), fated mates, a anti-dragon defense league (ADDL), dragon clans, dragon politics, prejudices, friendship, self-esteem issues, magic, comradery, drama, intrigue, some suspense, threats, danger, explosions, confusion, compromises, determination, steamy scenes & surprises. I am looking forward to the next addition to the series with great anticipation.

I liked this fated Mates, MPreg, Dragon shifter story. Seb has been looking after his siblings since the death of their parents, I have to say these are some pretty great kids (not a complaint between them), He really needs a job so goes for an interview to find the man that he had a fling with the previous night, is now to be his boss.

War is convinced that finding his mate is not on the cards for him, but he thinks he has it all so isn’t too worried, one evening out he meets Seb, his sweet smelling mate, one interrupting phone call later and he is desperate to see Seb again. I liked how Serb takes his time making sure that things are real, so his siblings aren’t hurt again, the banter between War and his chosen family is very amusing to read. This is a feelgood book one that I found lightened my my mood, I look forward to the others in the series.

What could possibly be missing from the life of a dragon who seems to have it all?

Warrington lives a life where everything must be in order. The shock to his plans comes in the form of a mate. An attack at the club abruptly separates them and injures another dragon in his clan.
Sebastian is just trying to makes ends meet and care for his younger siblings. A job interview turns out to be with the guy from the previous night.

What luck to have your fated walk through the door. How can he convince Sebastian that they're mates and will Sebastian believe he worthy of a happily ever after? Especially with all that's happened to is little family.
Their abundance of sexy times, enjoyable side characters, great story premise and new family additions. Can't wait for the next books in the series.

One hot night and a coincidence brings Warrington and Sebastian together. Fate has decided these two should be together, but can they stay together?
I really enjoyed this new world and its characters. Sebastian has been thrown into circumstances beyond his control, but he is a fighter. Warrington is a strong Alpha with a big heart. The two are good for each other and it was nice to see the way their relationship grows. I loved seeing the way Brynn and Brock were included in this story. Not only do we get Warrington and Sebastian’s relationship, but readers also get to meet many other characters that grab your attention. The author does a wonderful job of introducing this world while giving readers a beautiful and sexy romance. Many of these characters endeared themselves to this reader and I am eager to return to this world for their stories.

**ARC Review**

First time reader and I was most excited to get to read this. I love office romances and most definitely shifter omega/alpha ones. Throw mpreg in there...bonus! This was good. Very lovey dovey, romantic and steamy. Dragons are fierce, protective and loyal. All of that and more was in this. I love this magical world of dragons. The MCs (Dub and Seb) made this enjoyable plus the secondary characters. Brynn was the sweetest and a delight. There was an element of violence...very low key background to the overall romance. Only thing that kept this a 5 star rating for me was the ending. Wasn't a good wrap up of the events or more to come. It's like the author got tired of writing and said " End". I felt like an epilogue would have been appropriate that will lead up to the next book in the series.

Fantastic start to a series! Warrington, along with his found brothers, Harrison and Seamus form the Skye Dun clan. He took a moment out of his busy day, went to a bar, scented a man and had his way with him. They were mutually star struck. Then he had an emergency and had to suddenly leave. The next day, Sebastian, showed up at Wings, Inc for a job interview as P/A. He was desperate for the job. He became guardian to his siblings, Brynn and Brock. He was not living in the safest neighborhood and he needed to provide. The characters in the story and supporting characters, are absolutely delightful. This is an excellent story setting up for the flow of the series. There is mystery, danger, suspense, love, fun, surprises and twists. This is a full package story that left me excited for the rest of the series. Well done!

So much... potential?

The story could have been great...if it wasn't used as a way to move the two main characters to the next sex scene. Literally, it was like someone using a golf cart to speed to the next spot on a mini golf course.

If you like a lot of your book being sex scene after sex scene with each lasting several pages, then this is definitely the book for you. If you prefer an actual story with some sex then yeah no.

It's like the story is actually the commercial break between sex scenes. I liked the characters but it's like the author hit the highlights of the development on the commercial length actual story in order to make a bit of space between the sex.

If that is what you like then enjoy...as for me I don't think there was enough story offered to make continuing the series.
