The Pantheon Saga #5

Absolute Power

Rate this book
* Duration: 15 hours and 7 minutes *

Does power truly corrupt? Or attract the already corrupted?

Three months since his debut, Aegis, aka Hugo Malalou, is becoming one of America's most popular superheroes. But between protecting the city of San Miguel, surviving high school and maintaining some degree of a social life - he's stretched very thin.

Worse, monstrous new threats and old enemies attack Aegis from all corners. Can he rise to the challenge? Or will the Shield of Justice be broken?

On the other side of the country, Greyson Hirsch remains committed to destroying this new generation of heroes. And his latest target, a young team of idealistic crusaders, is blind to the storm hurtling their way. All the while, Greyson's obsession with a certain superhero from San Miguel deepens.

Aegis and Greyson's paths are on a collision course that will alter the fate of the world. Choose your side in 'ABSOLUTE POWER', book five of the best-selling Pantheon Saga.

PLEASE NOTE: This novel contains swear words, sea monsters, and nail-biting superhero action. If you're demanding for swear words, sea monsters or nail-biting superhero action to be cancelled, this novel might not be for you.

Aegis vs Damocles coming soon

Looking forward to the next installment. The battle of the century coming up. Greyson is going down. I suspect a twist coming up with this. I still think Hugo and Breseis will end up together. Looking forward to more of the Paragons. Love superhero teams. I grew up with the Avengers. The real ones not the Disney movie frauds. Looking forward to the race between Hugo and that little snot Blur. I hope Geist comes out of retirement. I was wondering who Max was.

This has been one of the most enjoyable superhero novels I’ve been reading. Plus CC doesn’t take three years to write the next volume like some authors I’ve been reading. Good job CC. To think I almost stopped reading the first one because I thought the pacing was to slow. Glad I hung in there. I would have missed a great ongoing superhero novel.

no more horny!!!

Everyone is too horny! I was in high school in many clubs, and I never ran into anyone as horny as the main character Hugo. He is really sleazy, quick tempered, arrogant, and too machismo to be our Superman like figure. He's constantly insisting that his identity stay secret, but he keeps doing stupid stuff to expose himself. His powers seem to fluctuate depending on the plot. Either he's fast enough to go Mach 3 and strong enough to punch through a kaiju, or he's weak enough to be knocked out by a 16 year old girl with purple lightning. He's barely 16 himself, but the author has written him like he's a veteran superhero who's been in the beat for years. Everyone bows to him, and all the women want him. It's absurd. This power fantasy has gotten outta control.

Young& in Charge?

When you are young it seems that nothing can beat you. Yet one always knows that you at not the most powerful. Tough when you are repeatedly being thrashed. However, I'm not too old to not enjoy the sex. There is a good v the bad. Sometimes it looks like the bad will become good and sometimes the good are are so stupid that they might as well be the bad guys. The most likely readers are 16 average. The constant references to skin colour is a pain but possibly it's the authors way of describing the clouds.

5 books into the series and I'm hooked. I enjoy the characters, the plot, and where the story is headed. I had thought that this would be a 5 book series, but apparantly book #6 is coming out soon. I was a little tentative about starting a superheroes series, and one more targeted to a YA audience. But I was quickly pulled in during book #1, and can't wait for the next book.

This book answered so many questions and moved the story in a direction that will make what’s coming up so interesting. There is a few grammar issues please don’t panic there not that bad people .

Not a fan of minors having sec like rabbits

I wonder what the author was thinking about freshman and sophomores in high school, 14 and 15 yrs old hopping beds like porn stars. Very odd

End the story.

After reading about 75% of this fifth book I just had to stop. Every chapter ended with a cliff hanger and hero getting his but kicked repeatedly then doing absolutely nothing about it got really old.

This one is lacking.

The end pretty much invalidates most of the series. The details in his personal life are just ridiculous. After the last book, I expected a more refined hero, not another anger fueled moron. I apparently expected too much.

A lot of superhero action/mystery/drama

I very much enjoy this superhero saga. It's such a fun read. Only issue is that there are a few typos that need fixing

Excellent

Our hero is growing up in a hurry. The villains are getting worse and the teenage angst is out of sight.
