I, Connie Manors, never thought I’d see them again. Yet here they are, expecting me to pick up where we left off. I’m one lucky lady!
Rascal has a wicked smile and can charm me into almost anything. Hank is tall, dark and deliciously mysterious. Yum! Brad’s broad shoulders and melting glance is what dreams are made of.
We had a country band when we were teens. I was the lead singer. Nothing much came of it, but some of that was my fault.
A recent video of me singing again has inspired them to revitalize our band. I refuse to join until they give me one of those can’t-refuse offers. I’d dated each of them separately during our teen years. They have different plans for me now, and I’m all in. We spend our days practicing original melodies and writing new lyrics. While our nights smolder with the kind of fun that leaves me breathless.
Can we make a success of our band and our crazy-hot relationship this time? Or are we doomed to crash and burn once again?
Three Times The Swoon is a sizzling, small-town reverse harem romance. It’s rich with sexy single and multiple-partner scenes all done with a touch of humor and a spark of heat that just might melt your Kindle. This book can be read as a stand-alone or as part of the Small Town Lovers Series. As with all my books, a HEA is always guaranteed… Thanks for reading!
Pepper Swan is a city girl who loves killer shoes, gorgeous clothes and anything extravagant. She’s all about luxury, excess and the occasional fling with a downhome country boy . . . or three . . . to tame her wild ways. She’s sometimes haughty, irreverent and downright plucky. She’s not afraid to speak up if someone slights her or when a friend is in need. Find me: Instagram Facebook Newsletter
It feels like I started reading book 3 in a cliffhanger series; or maybe the last 15 minutes of a Gilmore Girls episode having never watched it before. A lot of potentially important information getting spewed 100mph with no context. It made me realize I do not like reading a lot of contractions outside of a conversation. They're fine in moderation but too many "I'd", "it's" and "wouldn't" can be confusing and just not hit as hard as a good "I had" or "do not" ... Whatever, not overly important. The main character rambles really fast and, less then a chapter in, I just don't care. I'm not sure if she is naming business, towns or people half the time. I think she works every single day, getting paid really well at a non profit. Which just makes me think they might not be utilizing their funds as well as they could be. Only working the, most likely, two busiest days at the bakery, which I think might just be a diner. I might try to read this later but right now the writing is too frantic for my brain.
A steamy read filled with passion, intimacy and chemistry that will leave any reader full of lust and ready to attack. These three men were so in tune with Connie’s needs, allowing her the time needed to overcome her own obstacles. Absolutely loved the whole second chance aspect of this book, too! Reunited band members from high school, and these men were perfect for Connie in every way!
I received a free arc in exchange for an honest review.
I honestly love this author. She has a way with her writing that literally captures all your attention making it impossible to put the book down until after you are done. I started this book and devoured it in a few hours because I couldn’t stop. As always it was written wonderfully and flowed without a hitch.
I do want to put this out there so you as readers are fully prepared. While this is a start of a new series, I suggest reading her Small Town Lovers series which is 6 books long. Connie has parts in all 6 books and you’ll get a better feel for her, plus it’s an outstanding series. It isn’t necessary though.
With that being said I was super nervous about this book, honest review here, I have fallen in love with the town of Cricket and everyone there. I didn’t want to leave. But, Sweet Whiskey is such a fun and quirky town that I couldn’t help but fall in love with it too! Sweet Whiskey is more of a cowboy and cowgirl town. It’s loud, colorful, quirky, and just as amazing! I can’t wait for more of this fun little town. Plus it’s only an hour away from Cricket so still close, phew.
Connie has finally, and I mean, finally gotten her happily ever after! And boy am I here for it. She helps run Sweeties Pies, crochets with the ladies group, helps her cousin run a nonprofit for new entrepreneurs, and she sings?! What can’t she do? Connie is one of the nicest people on the planet, I mean that wholeheartedly. She’s small and likes everything miniature size like her. She’s funny, intelligent, and loves her life in her comfortable bubble. How can we pop her bubble you ask? In walks Luke, Josh, and Rascal. Three incredibly gorgeous men from her past. Her band! Josh is the quiet one who figures out things and throws wrenches into it. Luke is the guy who is most like Connie. He doesn’t jump all in like Rascal and Josh. He needs to think and make plans first. And Rascal. He seems to be more of the leader of these men. And the planner when it comes to what these three want. He figures out a plan and goes for it. All three have smiles that can unarm the worst of people. And then there is Dusty. He’s kind of the ghost in the story. Helping Connie figure out what she NEEDS even from the other side.
Will Connie accept the things Dusty has left for her and take his hints? Will she accept her three mens apologies and sing with them again? Will she finally accept that she too deserves to be happy? Well read to find out!
Congrats yet again on another amazing book!! Can’t wait for what’s to come!!
Embracing everything she never realized she could have Three Times The Swoon: A Second Chance Reverse Harem Romance by Pepper Swan is an entertaining reverse harem with elements of a multilayered second chance for Connie, Luke, Josh and Rascal. The guys are all in while Connie still has some emotional hurdles to overcome. And what awesomely swoon-y guys to be all in with! Each of them are special and heartfelt with Connie, not to mention steamy in all the best ways too. The plot has Connie in a sort of emotional turmoil and honestly, she’s much better off not thinking so much! Being a planner and thinker is great, but it also seems to hem her in, making it easy to make ‘safe’ choices rather than fun and living, loving with abandon or at least the freedom to live and love the way this plural relationship wants to. Overall, Connie finds her inner-strength through the guidance of her benefactor and cousin as well as the love of her three swoon-worthy guys for a spectacular and star-studded HEA. I read an ARC of this book via Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
Helps with cousin, give money to help new businesses, ends up becoming wealthy woman.
Connie, gets surprised her 3 guys that were in her band as teens. Befriended a kindly, older cowboy, and finds out , passed away, and inherits a ranch, money, Cadillac. After she was asked by Dusty, to sing at his funeral. Reconnected as a band again as adults, Josh, Rascal, Like. Connie has a lot on her plate, nerves, when finally are opening act for a new club. Love is reaffirmed after all those years, now live on the ranch, with land rented out to produce wine for a winery. Gets a proposal by her 3 handsome men.
This book has more than just love and sex among four people, it has trust, encouragement and love. The group was together when they were younger but ended up going their separate ways. Due to close friendships made with an older man, death and life brought them back together. This was their chance to sing again, be together as a loving family and to grow into something bigger and better. It's a very good book, I hope you'll enjoy as much as I did. I forget names of the main characters, it's because I get involved with the story. Written by Cindy :)
I won this through Goodreads and apparently I did not receive the correct book. The Kindle book I received was about two characters-Dani Green and Gianni Capra. She was finishing her degree and he was helping his family with their pizza restaurant. They had been attracted to each other but she was shy and he thought she was a lot better than him. By using aliases in a matchmaking site, they had a date with each other and it went from there. Friendship to love to marriage. I have no idea what book this was.
Certainly not a reverse harem!! What happened Goodreads??
The book is what I expected between seeing the cover and knowing it was a RH. My biggest pet peeve (which happens with a lot of these smaller authors) is that publishing or whoever is in charge misses the small stuff. Jason Aldean was listed as Jasen Alden in one sentence but then referred to as Jason in the following sentence. Things like this throughout the book prevents me from moving forward with a series and/or author.
This was a sweet second chance kind of why choose romance. Connie is just a small town girl who likes to stay in her comfort zone of keeping things small. But when her band comes back to town to see if she's willing to try again life gets real crazy, and real big real fast. This has a good bit of spice without taking away from the main storyline and I can't wait to see what happens next
I definitely enjoyed this book! My only issue with it was that I felt there could have been a bit more character development and it definitely could have been spicier considering it is a reverse harem. Don’t get me wrong, there’s definitely spice there, but it felt like there was very little lead up to the characters getting together. Part of any book like this is that heated tension and anticipation. That said, I did love the HEA!
I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy. Connie had dreams but was scared to leave Cricket. When she sings at a funeral, it brings attention and changes that scare her. With the help of her band members Rascal, Josh and Luke Connie gathers the courage to do all that she wanted. The rewards are great and more of them are coming to all of them.
Connie was a Singer who panicked with her band and ran out of American Idol tryouts leaving her band behind. The band members left together the next day. Years later the band members walk into the restaurant Connie is working at. And so their journey begins to falling in love and having a HEA. So good ! Enjoy !
This was a quick spicy read! This book had a good idea behind it. I loved the premise. I felt like it was a bit rushed. I would have liked to see some more relationship building between everyone. I felt like there was very little apology and everyone was quick to forgive. Other than that, I enjoyed the story! I enjoyed the ending for sure!
I made it pretty far through this book, but I don't know why I bothered. The writing is pretty bad. Don't get me wrong, it could be worse... the plot is stupid. The characters are stupid. The number of spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors makes me hope that no one actually got paid for editing this book. DO NOT BOTHER. WASTE OF TIME.
My head was spinning with all Connie had to deal with. She had so much going on. Second chance romance are so adorable. Loads of funny moments (all I can say is poor Rascal he will never hear the end of it. Well worth the read 🌶🌶🌶 🍆🍆🍆🍆 🤯😶🌫️🥵🤣😍😱💪😍😍🍆🍆🍆🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This book felt really disjointed, like it started in the middle of another story. I didn’t enjoy the writing style—it didn’t flow well at all. I also wish there had been clearer differences between the POVs; they all sounded the same, which made it hard to keep track of whose POV I was in. The story lacked depth and felt rushed, which is such a bummer because it had really good potential.
I received an ARC of Three Times The Swoon and I am voluntarily leaving a review. I really enjoyed the book. I loved the names of the towns and the people that lived in it. I really enjoyed the steamy scenes.
I couldn’t have asked for a more exciting story. The tension and emotions are right there for everyone to read and I love how each character has their own issues but in every way they are always there in the relationship and I loved how never gave up.
Super sweet and funny as hell. Like laugh out loud funny right along with sexy sexy. So far I think this and Shea's stories are my favorites. But I'll have to keep reading to be sure. 😉
My first time reading a Pepper Swan book and I really enjoyed it. I laughed out loud a few times which us a great sign of a great well written story. I loved the flow of the characters and of course the steamy scenes too.
Yes - I loved the storyline - everybody needs a great beneficiary who gives you a push in the right direction, like the the main character in this book and three hot guys.
Although I really enjoyed this book, it reads like a book three or four of the series not book one. I love the fact that plural relationships are normal in this world. I also loved the second chance plot.
I wish there was more steam. But i did enjoy it and there was some funny bits in it. I got frustrated with the female lead for a minute but it all worked out in the end
Connie’s been living in Cricket most of her life. She grew up with three close friends and formed a band. Then something happened and the guys all left for UCLA. Years later they are back. Not what she needs right now.
Luke, Josh and Rascal!!! Those men. First time reading rom com and I absolutely love it. Super cute, silly relatable, passionate and lustful. I felt the connection through the story like I was there.
