What started out as a battle for dominance changed when I realized my heart was on the line.
Arrogant. Self-centered. Obnoxious. Let’s not forget ridiculously hot! I knew this guy would be trouble with a capital T. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that the famous calligrapher is confident in his own skin and my total opposite. Nathan Price…
My summer in Colorado is focused on work and music. There’s no room to second-guess my safe choices because of his sweet talk. Thank goodness my favorite Guitar Hero is here to protect me and I gladly reciprocate. Nathan believes that I belong to another and offers his friendship, but the hunger in his eyes tells a different story. When we run into each other again, the playboy proves to be caring, patient, and understanding. My issues don’t faze him. His obsessions don’t scare me off. Am I seriously ready to risk everything in the name of attraction? Oh boy!

I really enjoyed this fascinating story about two characters overcoming their pasts and finding unconditional love. Sally’s journey into becoming a whole, assertive, confident woman was inspiring and beautiful. At times, I found the dialogue and inner monologue difficult to follow, but overall a very special story.

This story is part of a multi-author series called "All American Boy". They are stand alone reads with connected characters. The series is set in Bear Creek, Colorado with a music festival, summer fun and music. This is a fairly quick read that is not to short. This is the story of Nathan and Sally. Sally struggles to overcome what has happened in her past. I love how Nathan has patience and understanding with her. Such a good story from beginning to end.
Oh boy sure did have some very interesting dynamics in the story and with its characters. It took me a bit to get started with this story but improved as I kept reading, I;m so glad I stuck with.it.
Nathan and Sally are secondary characters in Hope’s paranormal series. They’re already an item before the series starts and fairly private to boot, so their backstory is a mystery. Enter Oh Boy!, a contemporary MF read.
Sally has been burned in the past and only trusts one man: Rupert. Nathan and Sally are paired in a Krav Maga class, and their relationship slowly grows from there. I say slowly because Sally requires a slow pace and Nathan respects that. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t some hot scenes—there are—but Sally’s comfort and consent take priority for Nathan, which is entirely appropriate for their characters and the storyline.
Eventually, both blossom—Nathan’s art and happiness and Sally’s confidence—though not without a few challenges. Nathan can seem cocky and self-centered in the other series (and “in public”), but you see a softer, more caring side of him in this book.
This is a fast, satisfying read that stands alone but has some minor foreshadowing and references to the series. It is not paranormal and does not require any prerequisite reading. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in discovering an up-and-coming author with a unique style. The story may be in the shorter side, but it has plenty of heat and heart.
Sometimes you just have to take a calculated chance
Oh Boy! by Hope Irving is part of the multi-author All American Boy series. This is the first book I have read by this author so I was not sure what to expect. But as I have read several other books in this series and the book description piqued my interest I decided to grab a copy. I am glad that I did as I did enjoy this story about Nathan and Sally. The story-line is an easy read but very engaging. I also like the characters and how they first meet and then get to know each other. I did find a few things confusing at times but I just went where the author took the reader.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

If life were perfect, you would have a Nathan and Rupert all in one. If you could roll all their attributes together, sigh, I don't think you would walk out the door. Nathan's patience and understanding that Sally needed space and acceptance was warming to the heart. Her struggles to overcome her past made this story emotionally connecting.
Nathan and Sally storyline is sweet, he thinks he's all that but underneath he is caring and patient. Sally is conflicted and wants to concentrate on herself even if this is her time. This was an easy read with great characters.

I don't read lots of m/f romance these days, but this one sounded interesting and I was not disappointed. Sally is a strong character and her confidence develops nicely in this story as does her trust of Nathan. Nathan is a great character who never pushes or overpowers.
Ms. Irving painted a sexy, sweet picture with Nathan & Sally's story. The characters were perfect together. Their chemistry sparked and sizzled right off the pages. The writing style is different and kind of confusing, took me a bit to get into the story, otherwise, good story with a sweet HEA.
Excellent read. I truly enjoyed and loved this book. I found the storyline amazing and could not stop reading it. The characters kept me hooked until the very end of the book.

Hot story with unusual characters--loved the departure from the usual alpha type! Nicely steamy and a good storyline which had me rooting for both of them!

Nathan Price is one of my most iconic characters. The talented and cocky calligrapher is the main character in OH BOY! , a contemporary romance (MF).
It's an enemies-to-friends-to-lovers / hurt-comfort story focused on Nathan Price and Sally Mitchell. If you've read my paranormal/UF series, you've already met them as a couple and know that Nathan is quite a lot to handle.
OH BOY! takes place right before the events from The Black Angel Book Legend series. There's no paranormal elements in OH BOY!

Here's a glimpse of CHAPTER 1 - THE WORLD I KNOW SALLY Air rushes from my windpipe, and I freeze for a nanosecond. This isn’t how it was supposed to go; I’ve been taught better. Somehow, my brain disconnected from my body. The guy’s foot aims for my ankle. His self-assured gestures underline his experience, and I hate that as much as my sluggish reaction. Jumping backward, I dodge his skillful attack. Close call. Why does my throat constrict then? Glancing behind me, beads of sweat tickle my forehead as I realize that I’m cornered against a wall, making bile rise into my mouth. For some reason, it feels like déjà vu, although I’ve never been in this exact situation. Yet, it’s reminiscent of how powerless I once was. My first book by this author. I found the characters interesting and although both have a past, I didn't feel like I was missing any information about them. The story flowed smoothly and when there were breaks in time, it was covered in inner dialogue. This is a novella length book so was a decently quick read.
It was just meh for me….. I don’t think the characters were developed enough. Back stories weren’t very well thought out or explained very well when they came to life..
