A new start. A new command. But revenge is a dish best served cold.
A deadly catastrophe in one of the outer systems brings Kitt Ashton back into service. Faced with a skeleton crew of misfits as well as a new and untried ship, Ashton sails forth to do battle. But all is not well with his new command and the new Captain finds himself fighting not only an invisible enemy, but treachery from deep within the organisation.
When the truth is out, will Ashton manage to save the day, as well as the lives of thousands of innocent colonists, or has he gone too far?
My stories feature quiet men dealing with the problems life throws at them, and strong women overcoming adversity.
I write in a broad spectrum of genres, from classic westerns to historical LGBT, romance to gothic fantasy, as well as contemporary crime, horror and mystery. But, whatever the genre or the setting, my novels end with hope for the future, and more often than not a definite HEA.
As for me? Well, I am a happily married wife, mother and grandmother, living in the north-west of England where the rain is wet and the people are friendly.
Until recently I was a specialist teacher of children between the ages of 5 and 16 in a variety of educational settings. Having taken early retirement, I now spend as much time as possible either working on my next novel, reading, or wondering what to make for dinner.
Originally, I read the Kitto series in December 2021. But Amazon developed a glitch and was refusing to post my reviews. The glitch was fixed, but Spider is still reviewless; I'm battling for the review to be posted because this glorious series deserves all the reviews and superlatives I can give it. Yes, there's violence and a body count, which aren't my favorite things. But Kitto is a fantastically intriguing character, the adventure is non-stop thrills, and the worldbuilding is fascinating and believable. The "good" supporting cast is wonderfully real. This series should be a must-read for anyone who enjoys sci fi adventure. Bravo, Leona Grace!
New Adventure and this time he leaves the Solar System. The villains are even worse than the last book and his associates are just as unreliable as before. Quick fun read with lots of action.
