It was supposed to be an easy job. Get another scumbag off the streets. I never could have foreseen her ruining the plan. Or having to whisk her away on my jet for both our safety. And I certainly couldn’t have anticipated finding myself starting to fall for the blunt, sarcastic, kick-a$$ woman I found myself trapped in a safe house with.
Shawn
I never saw myself getting kidnapped by a billionaire and dragged around the world with him. I definitely couldn’t have seen myself starting to have feelings for the walking red flag of a man. What can I say? When it came to men, I’d never had the healthiest of taste. But this Bellamy guy, he was the craziest of the bunch. And despite the warning alarms ringing in my ears—and, you know, the bullets aimed at our heads—there was no denying that I was starting to fall for him.
Jessica Gadziala is a USA Today bestselling author who lives in rural New Jersey with her parrots, dogs, and an ever-growing collection of houseplants. A lifelong dreamer, she’s been writing stories since childhood and published her first book in 2015. When not at her desk, she’s usually feeding backyard birds, rewatching crime dramas, period pieces, and 90s supernatural TV shows, or adding to her towering stacks of unread books.
So, I was skimming through my Kindle and realize that I had not read this book yet. Of course, I dived in right away and I remembered why I had hesitated about reading this particular book because basically it was the last book in this series, the professional series. And of course, I was holding out, hoping that this author would continue with this particular series but as time went by. That just didn’t happen. So here I am………. So, I know I’m being a bit petty by holding out, as long as I have. But damn, a girl can hope that JG would be kind to her?
.. Omg I just love 😍 Bellamy is one of a kind. He has a heart of gold for someone so rich……. And lord The man definitely has Sense humor.
Now Shawn was a bit of a mystery in the beginning, but Jessica being Jessica ….. she made her female characters a badass in her own right…….
Now Shawn had bit of issues overcoming Bellamy drugging her and taking her on 'vacation' to the Maldives…… which was completely understandable
I had so much fun with these two Characters. , I Really enjoyed it Watching Shawn Putting Bellamy in his place and vice versa……. Lord these two really suited each other
I really feel bad for hesitating to read this book for so long……… maybe later on in the Future Jessica will continue with this series. ….. again, a girl can dream right?
We've all waited a long time for Bellamy's story and OMG! it was so worth waiting for it. I love this book ❤
Bellamy was the most hilarious and entertaining character in the Professionals series till now. His pranks and drugging people he likes for fun, to bring them to the best vacation of their life, has already a long history. His friends and coworkers were some of his victims and some of them were even willing to take the drugs willingly after hearing what wonderful vacation he has prepared as a surprise 😂🤣 Money doesn't matter at all to Bellamy, he has more than enough of it. He loves to make people happy, what's not always the case after waking up with hangover in an other country 🤣 He does what and when he likes just because he can 🤷🏻♀️ He is unpredictable and because he loves new adventures everything is possible with him. Only that's is just one side of Bellamy's character and the other one is the reason for his title in the Fixers company, The Executioner 🖤 You can tell how much I love him, right? This all happened in the other books of the series, so these are no spoilers so far 😬
Shawn is the perfect candidate to show Bellamy that he's not the irresistible magnet that women can't resist. She is the first to spark his interest for more than one night. She is the first one who does not fall for his charm (or not immediately 🤭) and gives him hell for his antics. I love this woman, she is a challenge for Bell and unbelievable strong badass heroine.
I can't give you more, this book is just too good to spoil it. Read this amazing, funny and thrilling love story. Trust me, you’ll love it as much as I did.
You don't have to read the other books in the series to enjoy this one.
“I like you, Shawn.”“The feeling isn’t mutual, Bellamy.”“That’s okay. I tend to grow on people.”“Like a fungus?”“That’s a lot of sass so soon after waking up.”
EVERYONE and their nana wanted Bellamy's story from the minute he walked his expensive arse into the room. He's just that kind of character that demands your attention.
Lord. Have mercy on my soul. I was not ready.
Bellamy. All class, expensive suits and dripping in sin. He is too much in all the best ways. He's naughty, he's playful but he's also thoughtful in the most unconventional manners. The man is an onion with many layers I tell you. Did he deserve to meet a woman willing to give him to payback he rightfully deserved? Oh yes. Yes he did.
Shawn. All snark, secrets and skeletons. This woman is an enigma for sure and most definitely not what you'd expect at first. She's strong to the core, she's been through the ringer in life and yes she's a little judgmental but hey... its understandable given her situation. She is my favourite kind of heroine. The tough, take no shit.. cares for little but secretly has a heart of gold and good intentions.
These two are quiet the dysfunctional pair. They clash like no other, they push eachothers boundaries past the limits and they crave the chaos just as much as they crave the delicious tension that throbs around them. Its a hot mess of hilariously outrageous shenanigans, heart pounding chemistry and moments of pure vulnerability that have your heart breaking. These tough characters have way more to them than meets the eye and with them both being so different it's safe to say they had many uphill battles to overcome. But what a freaking journey.
I laughed so hard I was snorting like pig. I was so consumed in the cat and mouse game they played and lordy was the tensions high!!!. Talk about chemistry. There are moments of shock, heart breaking revelations and truly sweet swoon worthy times that will snatch the breath outta your soul.
It was a ROLLERCOASTER.
We also get to see so many beloved faces from the past and we're teased with character that already has us curious!! *cough*HOLDEN*cough* I need his book.
There really is no shortage of anything in this story. I enjoyed the snark and back and forth between Shawn and Bellamy. It made for great entertainment. But as a whole their journey hits hard from all ways and really does a full circle.
And let me tell you that epi had me crying like a damn baby. What a way to end and really showcase the kind of man our scrumptious rich hottie really it.
Honestly this book is a win and a must read for me.
This was another amazing book in this series. The character building is unlike any other author I have read and that is saying something. From the first few pages I couldn't put the book down. The story was well developed and kept getting better. I was up way to late because I wanted/needed to know what was going to happen.
Bellamy and Shawn, the new Navesink Bank vigilante power couple
Shawn and Bellamy are two sides of the same coin. Both hiding in plain sight with scars and walls from their pasts. Shawn's character is a brilliantly feisty woman who is doing her own thing when Bellamy crashes her carefully laid plans. What follows is a mix of the story of the book itself and the story of the main characters and the evolution of their relationship. Of course the cameos from other Navesink Bank residents and the new friends we meet along the way are woven in effortlessly.
Jessica's books always have men with a dark side but a strong moral compass to protect their loved ones. The women are not your normal women in distress, usually kicking ass themselves. You won't get anyone waiting around to be saved here! The side characters are what makes her books very different from others I've read. I'm invested before I even start 'their' book as I feel like I already know them.
You don't have to, but you really should read them all - they are that good! This one is yet another excellent example of a brilliant escape into the Navesink Bank universe. Just what I needed!
Another great book! Even with my life currently in complete chaos, Jessica’s story telling grabbed me right away. I was not one of the folks who were waiting with bated breath for Bellamy. There are other characters that I have been much more attached to than him. And that didn’t matter, at all.
Shawn and Bellamy were fantastic and watching them both fall for each other was a treat. Jessica has a way of making you really connect with the characters, and this book did not disappoint. Honestly, I have read everything she has published thus far and you can’t go wrong with any of her books. Take a chance, you won’t regret it.
I wanted so much to love Bellamy's story! I feel like I hardly got to know him; we barely brushed his background story and character development. The book was more about Shawn than it was about him, and I am so disappointed!
Still love the series, because, at this point, I am highly invested, so I will be on the lookout for the next one!
Been waiting for Bellamy's story since I was first introduced to him. He's always been an incredibly intriguing character - drugging his friends to take them on vacations - or adventures, so I've been curious to learn more about his story and see who he would be paired up with, and Jessica Gadziala certainly didn't disappoint. Shawn was just as intriguing as Bellamy with hidden facets to her personality and background which made her a perfect match for Bellamy. Their story was full of adventure, intrigue and hot sexy times. Read this start to finish in one sitting!
F#ck*ng Bellamy! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finally The Executioner is here and my boy Bel did not disappoint! Amazing series, Amazing characters and Amazing JG! #Bellamy #Shawn #Maldives #DruggedByBel #DoseOfOwnMedicine #TheExecutioner #RichKid #SaeedJewels #HandModel #SafeHouse #NextHoldenPlease #RosiePlease #NiahPlease #LovetheCameoOfElsie
Loved getting Bellamy’s story. I was thrilled with Shawn, the Christmas epilogue was too cute. CW for neglectful drug addicted parent, plus suspense stuff such as kidnapping, murder, and getting roughed up.
TITLE: The Executioner SERIES: 10th in a series AUTHOR: Jessica Gadziala GENRE: Romance, Suspense RELEASE DATE: 26th October 2021 RATING: 5 Stars QUOTES:
ABOUT: Jessica's characters always have a sense of humour that I really enjoy. Whilst the story has hint of darkness that her characters break though by the end.
Bellamy is one of them. He has a heart of gold for someone so rich. And of course a dark side that takes out bad people in the best way. When I first heard he was getting his book I really thought he would be getting with Nia, but no I was wrong and I was quite happy about it because Shawn really suits Bellamy so well. Putting him in his place and vice versa.
Their chemistry was so satisfying to read. Their love slowly forming as Shawn overcomes Bellamy drugging her and taking her on 'vacation' to the Maldives. Which was beautiful, the slide scene is one of my favourites. To Shawn getting payback in honesty the best way. Seeing Bellamy reaction right after an when he wakes up is so hilarious. I couldn't help but laugh.
Shawn was a bit of a mystery in the beginning and like all Jess's female characters... a badass in her own right. Finding out she was a sometimes hand model, I really loved that and she is a designer for her family's jewellery place, Seaad Jewels and her other job which no one in her family knows about. Of her helping victims by making their abusers pay in the best way is great.
I loved Quinn being mad at Bellamy. Nia really needs that vacation pronto. I really liked Shawn's cousin, he was really interesting. Seeing Elsie and her talking about her kids, so emotional. Cameo of Teddy, love him. Holden has a special place in my heart ever since I met him in Ferryn's book. I honestly love him so so incrediblely much. He deserves his happy ending.
Love when an author takes a character you think you know, strips them down to bare bones and surprises you what's been hiding underneath. Bellamy was such a unique person and getting to know what's he's been hiding from us and even himself was truly heartfelt.
The heroine Shawn also went through a metamorphosis through out the book. It made for great reading watching both Bellamy and Shawn layers pealed away with the final result being two people who were perfect for each other.
I've been waiting a long Tim to see what kind of woman finally captures the elusive Bellamy for more than a weekend (or even a few hours) and I was not disappointed at all!!! As always, Jessica found our hot, sexy and slightly damaged man the other piece to his puzzle.
I am so frick'n happy. I have always loved Bellamy and this book just put my love for him over the top. Bellamy and Shawn together is crazy in a good way. They fit and I couldn't see either one with someone else. Another great read. Thanks JG.
Ok, i change my mind. I'd given it 3 stars but now that it's been a day I come back and think hell what on earth was wrong with me. I'D BEEN DYING FOR BELLAMY'S BOOK. every time someone went 'Fucking Bellamy' I just knew that his book was going to be FUCKING AMAZING CAUSE HELLO, Bellamy is possibly the most fun-est guy I've read about.
I mean, I'm not one to get drugged but if getting drugged it my ticket to a five-star holiday in a private villa then do you, cause I got this knot in my back that I just can't seem to get rid of and I'm sure a nice massage would do the trick.
I just LOVE BELLAMY. AND I SAY THAT NOW CAUSE WELL OK SO HES BASICALLY A MURDER AND BASICALLY A SERIAL KILLER, but you look me in the eyes and tell me right now that you give two shits; like please he's just... he's just Bellamy. "Bellamy just did it for shits and giggles."
As I said, I was dying for his book, to see this hunk with money in a suit fall in love and would you look at that, he falls in love with the male version of himself. BUT NO THIS... THIS WAS JUST AHHHH.
I love Shawn and love these two together. It doesn't get any better. It's like coke and mentos. You put them together and not much happens until you shake the bottle and pray that it won't stain your white cotton shirt that cost far too much than you would have liked. I just loved that.
I'm proud to say I loved him from the start and fuck if I'll stop now.
First, I could use a friend to drug me and take me on some lavish vacation to unwind. I won't even complain about the headache the drugs cause. Just take me away for a bit, please!
Now, let's talk Bellamy. He finally met his match! The woman who could put him on his a$s. Shawn is fantastic. She's enough like Bellamy to be able to keep up with him and push him back, but had a completely different upbringing making everything he does seem even more ostentatious to her. And she let's him know it.
I loved seeing small bits of the rest of of The Fixers as they try to sort out the mess Shawn and Bellamy make. I'm still dying for Holden's book, but now we've been introduced to Bob. Bob is such an unassuming name, but he must have an interesting story to tell. Jessica always manages to add these new side characters that just make you want more.
Lastly, Nia better get her vacation. She needs like 20 of them. Or to meet her own match that will somehow manage to tear her away from work
8've been so interested in Bellamy although out the series. And it didn't disappoint! A high octane hate-to-love, forced proximity with banter steam and suspense. Bellamy, is the executioner, the one who gets rid of the scum that need to die. He is an uber rich, smooth talking, drugging his friends to bring them to paradise and stays calm. When on a job he finds someone else killing his victim starting a game that involves, kidnapping, fighting, and all sorts of exciting things. Shawn is the perfect match and opposite for Bellamy. A no-nonsense, used to taking care of herself, not impressed by wealth and not afraid to speak her mind. I absolutely loved it, loved the sprinkle of familiar characters as usual.
I keep being amazed by jessica's books. She has an extraordinary way to write, it s a gift. I love reading and i love a lot of writers. Sometimes when you read a serie, it happens that some of the books were great and others not so much. But with jessica's universe you are not disappointed. She rocks everytime she writes a book and this one was epic. I mean i laught, i cried, and i was so taken by the suspense scene.
I hope that the next book will be about holden or nia.(maybe both😉). It was a fun ride. I highly recommend this book and if you still did not read one of her masterpiece, do it.😍
I have always adored Bellamy and was thrilled to finally get his book. He and Shawn are such a great couple. They are so different, but the more time they spend together and the more they learn about each other, they realize how alike they actually are.
Bellamy is funny and always tries to make the best out of every situation. It helps that he's loaded and can afford things that most people cannot. Shawn is more reserved and a little more standoffish, but she begins to soften up and it was super sweet to watch.
I love Maldi already and hope she'll get a book at some point.
The Executioner is a great addition to the series and another great book from Jessica Gadziala.
No because when I say I was on edge the whole book because I thought they weren't gonna end up together I'm not joking like when the book ended the relief and like happiness I felt can not be exaggerated.
All I can say is that they deserve each other AND THAT CHRISTMAS THING WAS SO CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE|
OH OH OH almost forgot you should read this book because like I make a guest appearance in it like twice, like I'm fully important I promise and uhmmm it's the story of how I became a dee-rug add-ict
ALSO the ending when a certain character gets introduced had me laughing for days it was so funny I cant even begin to say
Effing Bellamy (as his team most often refers to him), the billionaire pain in the backside that Quin's group has had to extricate from far too many sticky situations gets his long-awaited story. Hilarious, brilliant, generous, devious and sexy in equal measure, Bellamy is an enigma wrapped in a mystery encased in a handsome, mischievous body. When he goes on a job, because yes, he is the group's best ethical killer, something completely unexpected happens. No, it does involve the usual drugging of a person and whisking them off to a tropical island, but what a fantastic adventure they go on!
I love a build up between two characters like this couple. Both self reliant, dark, independent and confident. FKN Bellamy! I had a grin on my face all the way through this chaos. These two characters back and forth banter was entertaining as only JG can. We’ve had Bellamy amusing us as a secondary character in previous books but with his own book, that was the best kind of romance (drugging and kidnapping aside
Holy heck have waited patiently for this one and our girl Jessica did not disappoint! Knew it would take an amazing heroine to capture Bell! Storyline was on point and the appearance of those I shall not name so I don’t spoil was simply perfect! This was everything!
Not bad, but I think it was lacking in really showing us Bellamy's character. His humour and darkness has been there in other books...but somewhat lacking in a book that was supposed to be his.
