I haven't been so much reading this book as using it for years with my students. I really like it a lot even though it's starting to be dated (one of the characters gets his first mobile phone in episode 21 (spoiler alert)) and can't use it! But if you want to test your comprehension, listen and read as well as viewing quite amusing episodes where you get a sense of what French irony is (subtle but present), it's for you. Plus the dialogues are written in a natural way, nothing like most of the dialogues I've stumbled upon in textbooks, which are usually really awkward and corny.
What I also like is that it reminds me of films by French director Eric Rohmer (whose characters though, contrary to these ones are on permanent vacation, lucky them)
The only criticism that I would make is that the actors tend to speak a little too quickly for this level. The ones in Reflets 2 are much more careful.
