No more random hook-ups. No more lousy Alphas. She’s paying for a man to see her through her heat, and clean her dishes and wash her sheets too. It’s the perfect arrangement for an Omega like her, one who’s not interested in romance.
Rory’s one successful escort. Dedicated to each assignment, guaranteed to deliver satisfaction and ruggedly good-looking. It’s the perfect job for an Alpha like him. He can satisfy certain urges, pay the rent and subsidise his hobby. All while keeping his heart well protected. Because agency rules dictate: no relationships with clients.
And he can’t risk his livelihood for some little Omega; no matter how delicious she may smell, and no matter how cute she may be.
If you love the sauciness of omegaverse with the sweetness of contemporary romance, heroes with hard shells and soft interiors, and heroines who fight for what they want, you’ll love Hannah Haze’s soft and steamy books - omegaverse set in our world.
I'm Hannah Haze, a why choose paranormal romance author known for my sweet omegaverse books and not so sweet magical academy series. If you enjoy a touch of humour, a lot of steam and plenty of swoony, romantic moments; strong fmcs who know what they want and mmcs who vary from the devoted to obsessive, then I am the woman for you!
My other loves include long romantic walks in the countryside, undisturbed soaks in a hot bath and even hotter stories. I have one husband, three children, a very naughty cat and a new fluffy pupster. When I’m not writing stories, I’m thinking about stories, listening to stories, reading stories or dreaming about them.
Hannah Haze always writes such different alphas. Alphas that have to overcome the stigma of being an alpha. That have to deal with the alpha instincts in a contemporary world and normal society that tends to look upon them in a negative light.
Rory is sweet and sensitive. His life so far is shaped by rejection; the women he loves, leaving him. He has learned to suppress most of his alpha instincts and believes he is fine living his life alone. He has time for his passion, photography, and he gets his sexual needs met being an escort for The Alpha Escort Agency.
Alice turns all that on it's head. She tired of scrambling to find an Alpha at the last minute to help with her heats and ending up with duds. She hires Rory thinking she can keep going with her life same as before but things don't always go according to her life plan.
Rory and Alice both know that things between them are different. That the feelings and pull they have towards each other is special. They both know that this is something they want, desperately to be with each other. It just seems that there's too many obstacles in the way, and both have to overcome their fear of being hurt again to get their happily ever after.
This was a sweet emotional love story. Rory was sensitive, loving, and caring. I wish he was just a teensy bit more alpha, more confident in his worth. Alice was full of life, and yet scared to fully embrace it, until love smacked her in the face. I felt all the pain, doubt, and issues they went through. Hannah's love stories seem to always make me cry but they're worth the ride.
Even though this is an ARC review, I will always shoot you straight.
This book is not about toxic masculinity, but tryouts to prove the opposite.
That is thanks to the alpha, who's sweet, chill, not possesive much, and cero controlling in a world where omega have very little rights while alphas have it all. The double standard is strong in this one.
This book is also about a women being strong and taking the reins of her life.
She is obviously the omega (would kill to see the opposite), and she has a career, an apartment, she's strong and doesn't abide by societies rules.
That's why they meet, because she gets tired of man who do less than the bare minimum and decides to get an expert to help with her heats.
I liked this, it was a new way of approaching this kind of stories, we didn't get the typical alpha nor the typical omega, but we got a really good and healthy pair.
This is an entertaining story with strong characters in Alice and Rory. The author does a great job building their story and brings a bit of the taboo to keep things interesting. She brings the heat with the hot chemistry and slowly builds their relationship. It's well written with vividly painted scenes , moves fluidly and is a great read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
I felt like this story was lacklustre. I was excited for it at first and was wondering what kind of conflict would arise from Alice and Rory liking each other outside of their contract. But when the conflict came, it was really...for a lack of better word, boring and the miscommunication trope was predictable. I liked that Rory was a gentle Alpha because I like traditional omegaverses and alphas are meant to be protectors of omegas. But this alpha who was adamant that Alice communicate her needs and wants for her heats, suddenly can't communicate his needs/wants in this relationship?
Personally.. This felt very bland. I dont know why but every time I read this, all I could see was the characters talking in a monotonous dialogue. There was literally no flavour. although the one part I did love was Alice blocking their situation. That was very different and I needed that cause you cant find that in other books. Plot wise was very simple. It was light and a very fast read. I wanted drama thoughhhh. Something sickening really. But its okay. This was still good. 3.25 stars
Surprising sweet and gentle Alpha, with our capable and endearing Omega, is such a breath of fresh air among all the toxicity. Look forward to reading more from this author.

The writing and editing of the ARC version of the manuscript was mostly clean, with occasional typos. This novel was written in present tense, which is not something I like, typically. The world building of London was vibrant, which I enjoyed as an American who has never been to the UK. The characterization was well done, with both the hero and heroine being sympathetic individuals with strengths and weaknesses. The development of the romantic relationship was sweet and hot, and I really appreciated that the characters established the mate bond and got engaged at the end. The heat level was four chili peppers. The plot and pacing were tight and interesting, meaning that I read this novel in one sitting. That is especially impressive considering that most contemporary romance leaves me bored, with my reading preferences tending more toward sci-fi and fantasy romance or romantic suspense novels. There was a medium amount of angst and medium stakes in this novel, which is typically not one of my preferred narrative structures. I thoroughly enjoyed it in this novel. This novel used the hero seeing the heroine and ardently pursuing her trope, which I typically enjoy quite a bit. Also the Neither of Us Wants a Relationship trope, where they fall in love despite themselves. The world building, plot, and pacing were four stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship were also four stars. I therefore gave this novel a combined rating of four stars. This novel ends on a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger ending, so that was a big plus. I look forward to reading the next book this author releases. I will not buy myself a keeper copy of this book because it was written in present tense.

This is NOT a reflection on the book. This is all about my taste. I do not like a soft sensitive alpha. One that second-guesses himself, wonders about his worth. I didn't find Alice very omega-like either. The writing was good, the sl was good (except for above) there was a complete and well finished storyline. It just didn't happen to be a storyline I enjoy.ed
Alice Turner has decided to hire an Alpha Escort. Random hook-ups just don’t work out. This time, she’ll pay money for a man who will handle her needs professionally just as she wants as his client. She needs him to take care of her through her heat, and do whatever housekeeping she needs done. This is the best way for an Omega like her to approach this since she is absolutely not interested in romance. And she won’t need to worry about that with a hired professional either.
Rory is an experienced, successful escort. The job fits him well, earning the money to pay the bills and not having to risk falling in love. They agency does not allow relationships with clients, and that suits him perfectly. With all the pressure taken out of the situation, why is so attracted by her scent? Why would he be thinking about risking his perfect job for an Omega?
This was a well-done story that let the reader experience the slow development of their relationship. Both firmly knew what they wanted, with no ambiguity. And yet something was changing. Grab your copy and see where it started to go wrong… or was it so very right!
I’ve read plenty of books—typically westerns, think “Redeeming Love”—where either a good man takes a women out of the brothel lifestyle, or a good woman takes a man out of the brothel lifestyle, and I’ve managed those reads just fine: but call me old fashioned, the notion of dating someone who declines your calls and texts that he’s ACTIVELY with a client was shudder-inducing and not for me.
My other big compliant is that after the MMC breaks up with the FMC, they don’t talk for three weeks, he suddenly shows up at her friend’s engagement party to try and ask for her back, and when she understandably says no to this, the rest of the book paints HER as the bad guy. She even gets scolded for “letting a good man like him go” by an old lady! HE DUMPED HER OVER THE PHONE AND WENT NO-CONTACT FOR THREE WEEKS! Crashing an event does not change that fact!
Those points aside, I did appreciate how kind the MMC in this book is. Bird watching, photography, and cooking are unique and interesting hobbies, I enjoyed reading about them. It was also nice to see a career-focused FMC with a fully developed prefrontal cortex.

This is an omegaverse story (no shifting). It’s about a workaholic Omega, Alice, that heard from her boss about getting an escort to help her through her heat. Her escort, Rory, does this because 1) he’s good at it, 2) likes to take care of Omega’s and 3) spends his off time trying to grow his photography career and helps take care of his grandparents, who raised him. They end breaking the rules of their contract to spend more time together.
I really enjoyed this book. Rory is a caring, not too possessive Alpha that wants to take care of the people in his life. Alice is a workaholic that has a life plan that doesn’t include falling in love with her escort.
There are super cute moments between each other and it truly breaks your heart when they end up splitting up at some point in the book.
Tropes: taboo relationship, hidden relationship, falling for the “wrong” guy and workaholic heroine/laidback hero.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to people that enjoy non-shifter omegaverse stories. If you like other Hannah Haze books, you will probably like this books as well
HEA Standalone Omegaverse, British English *over 18 readers only * 3rd person narration

Omegas need Alphas for one major thing, but Alice is tired of how she's been treated by the Alphas she's had to use. She decides to hire out for the services she needs. Rory takes photographs in nature, helps his grandparents, and works for the Escort Agency. After her first heat with him, things pick up. There are rules about contacting each other outside of the necessary heat times, but Rory finds a loophole. He can't afford to lose the job, but the scent of Alice is doing funny things to him. They start an actual relationship, but then his Nan needs him, and he breaks Alice's heart. Can they find their way back together?
There were some grammatical errors, typos, and such. But the story is good and pulls in the reader.
The Alpha Escort Agency by Hannah Haze is a contemporary romance. Alice is in marketing, and Rory is an escort who helps omegas get through their heats in a professional and satisfying way. Bit of a Pretty Woman vibe.
However, this book fell into that category of erotica that I struggle with - where the plot is basically a thin string running between in depth graphic sex scenes. Don't get me wrong, I love my smut (just look at my previous reviews) - but I don't find the smut nearly as good if we don't have a build up, and proper character and relationship development. In this, all the character development and plot obstacles were flimsy and basically just excuses to lengthen the book. I hate those kinds of stupid misunderstandings due to lack of communication, it's such weak storytelling. So then the smut moved from sexy to cringe for me. Not the one for me at all.
I started this book tentatively optimistic. I like omegaverse. I like the aggression, the dominance, the ferality of it all,so I thought this might be a bit tame/sappy for me. It was and it wasn't. The story is good, the connection to the characters was immediate, and I enjoyed the idea that they chose each other. I also thought that it was Interesting how Rory was able to control his instincts so well. Loved the addition of family on the Alphas side and his caring nature. I did, however, miss the carnal instincts, and possessive tendencies from both sides. I thought it was too polite? I would have liked a more in depth definition of the dynamics and more of what a knot is, etc.. I definitely would recommend as an intro to omegaverse.
Alice was an Omega that worked for an advertising agency and was devoted to advancing her career instead of relationships because she had been devastated when her father died. Rory was an Alpha that had been hurt in the past in more than one way and now worked for an Escort Agency that helped Omegas during their times of the heat so that he could play with his real passion nature photography. When Alice reluctantly ordered Rory their immediate attraction became a problem for them both as they began their interesting and exciting forbidden romance that was doomed from the beginning. Fun and intriguing read

Career focused and most definitely not looking for a relationship is Omega Alice. After being disappointed by yet another random alpha she hooks up with to see her through her heat, she hires an Alpha escort. The contract specifically forbids any type of relationship outside of her heat. But when they scent each other, plans change.
All in all, this well written, lovely story was enjoyable and an easy read. I adored Rory's nan and grandad, and Alice's mum, despite having lost the love of her life, was able to show Alice that loving someone is worth the risk and to take a chance at happiness.

This was a different take of an Omegaverse type book being a more contemporary setting.
Was a reverse escort storyline. Very sweet romantic story, a light, easy read, not much depth, more drama like. With a happy ending.
Editing was quite good. A few bad word here and there, maybe autocorrect? Minor grammatical and syntax errors. Nothing too disturbing for a pleasurable read.
Wow, this was super sweet. Even though I read the authors note about how light this story would be I wasn't expecting it to be so sweet. I need a Rory in my life ASAP. I love how they both learned to heal from their past and move on to a better future. If your looking for a slow burn, sweet romance, and just a little bit of spice then this book is for you. Not my usual cup of tea, but definitely would recommend!!!!
I'm ignoring the fact that this guy really thought even for a moment that he'd get to have a relationship and still sleep with other omegas well into his fifties when he'd have to retire. The momentary audacity. Anyway, this was sweet and cute with a softer (but still reserved) alpha and a sunshine omega. I like the way their relationship grew as they fell for each other. The letters were adorable.
I really liked the premise and wanted to read to the end, but I just couldn't. The two heats, read before I stopped were a little underwhelming. Given the basis of the book was an Omega hiring an Alpha to look after her for her heats, the actual heats themselves were kind of glossed over with minimal spice and detail.
Third person is always a struggle for me, but this book was more difficult than others. I don't think this book is bad, it just isn't for me.
A very refreshing take on the omegaverse trope! I really liked seeing a softer-type of Alpha and a sweet but strong Omega.
This book gave me Hallmark vibes despite it being an omegaverse story. Sometimes it was a little dull—not gonna lie! But I was having fun. My only big complaint was that the third act breakup was paaaaaaainful. Ugh. I was dragging, trying to finish it in the end.🐥💕
This was a super unique take on an omegaverse romance...loved that the FMC knew who she was, what she wanted, and did what she had to to get through her heats...no shame in her game.
Loved that we got an Alpha who was a squishy cinnamon roll..they don't always gotta be tough and gruff.
And don't get me started on his grandparents! Adorable scene stealers! 😍
I love this trope! It has the taboo element I enjoy along with the steam and romance it promises. I found the beginning of this story to be very strong, the middle a bit weaker. I did like the chemistry our main characters felt for each other as well as their journey.

I really enjoyed the characters and I found them both to be very relatable. Just two people trying to make it through life but for Alice there's an itch that needs to be scratched. Lucky for her Rory is the alpha up for the challenge. It was kinda nice seeing an omegaverse set in a more casual setting.
4 1/2 stars I loved the storyline that made the modern conveniences align with the paranormal in this captivating story. It had wonderfully crafted scenes between great characters who were very likable and intriguing.

Very boring story line. Interactions between the main characters were sweet but everything happened quickly. I don’t feel that the author did a good job or showing passing of time and the jumps back in time were unnecessary. I felt that I could skip a lot of the internal thoughts as it didn’t add anything to the story.
