The heroes must find a way to conquer their weaknesses or be damned for eternity. A lone gunslinger known only as the Broken Star Ranger and college dropout Adam Monroe are pulled into a war of angels and demons. They must open their hearts to triumph over evil and face their destinies. If they fail, the world will be devoured by a nameless shadow.

For those who want to dip their toes into horror/ ghost stories, I recommend this book as a good starting point. When it comes to the horror genre, my personal range is Scooby Doo to Supernatural. This book fits perfectly in the middle of that range with some parts being darker than others.
The true gems of this collection of ghost stories are the poems that are scattered throughout the book. The poetry is top notch, and equally soul wrenching. It was as though the writer had crawled into my brain and heart shoved its darkest inner workings out onto the paper.
The plot and character deployment of each ghost story is well balanced and emotionally triggering.
The only reason I give it a 4 out of 5 stars is because the grammar and literature composition components throughout the book can be improved upon.
