Chasing hope... that's certainly what Sabrina, and the rest of the family, find themselves doing as their entire world collapses around them. First, Devon allows 16 year old Luke, to go to Cuba on a missions trip, very much against Sabrina's wishes. Only to have him disappear days after arriving. Then Catherine, Sabrina's mother, informs them that the cancer treatments didn't work and they need to accept her decision not to try anymore. Things are not going well at the estate either, as one thing after another goes wrong as Charlie tries to open the new medical wing. Gideon finds himself in uncharted territory once again. As everything seems to be falling apart in the lives of the family he has vowed to protect, he discovers that he still longs for the thrill of battle. As Zereck and Shana head off to Cuba with Devon and Nate to look for Luke, Gideon is torn with wanting to go with them, but he is tied to Charlie's side. Will he ever fully be able to embrace being a guardian or will the call to battle forever be the song of his heart?
