I feel cheated!

Book one and two had such a build up between Luna and Maddox and then this book just ripped it all apart. Everyone did a 180. Luna basically becomes a secondary character. The shift in the story changed my whole outlook on the book. Made me not care for Maddox, did not like Poppy.....it went from (Luna and Maddox forever) to the Maddox and Poppy show. So disappointed!

This was not it..... I loved the first book, CRAVED the second, but this book ruined me (and not in a good way)

SPOILER - okay so we start off with Luna's rejection it was brutal but somehow beautiful. I loved how Maddox came in and played the hero here. Next up Luna and Maddox begin to start their relationship and the spice was incredible. The cliffhanger almost killed me. With so much anticipation for the finale of the series I was left wondering if I read the correct book. It moved wayyyyyy too fast and didn't focus AT ALL on Maddox & Poppy. We didn't get enough background or introduction to her. It's really hard to introduce a new character in the 3rd book. IDK just not the vibe 1.5 stars.

All of the nope

I struggled with this entire book, because it took off on such an angle from where I thought it was going, and where I wanted it to go. The new and important character arrived far too late, and you didn't get to know them well enough, or particularly care about them at all. In the end, I skipped the last ten chapters or so because I just didn't care anymore.
It's not a badly written book or series, I just didn't agree with the author's vision about these characters.
Also, it's M/F, and I was kinda expecting RH right up until the end of book 2.

Really a twist in the story. Really enjoyed it, but.... What happened with Black and his market storyline? Will this be followed up in a new series or? At least I hope so. Would love to see more of some of the other characters having their books.

It pains me to rate this book so low, because I love the author and I adore the Seven Realms but I was expecting so much more. 😭

It is worth noting that, just because this one didn't hit the spot for me does not mean I won't be continuing with the Saga, I'm far too invested in the characters!

The Seven Realms books have incredible world building and I fell in love with all the characters and such high hopes for the legacies side of the saga!

One of the things I love most about Sloane, is that she isn't afraid to send you on your merry little way down a road, but then she will shove you off the side of a mountain! You often can't predict what she's going to do next, because you will likely be wrong. And she certainly did this in this one! (I'd shipped Maddox, Luna and Jackson, I even dropped Poppy in the mix at the begining) so colour me surprised by this ending (I actually quite like the way things went in that respect)

I thought the first 2 books in this section of the saga were fantastic and I was really invested in characters and where their story was leading. But book 3 just didn't hit the spot for me.

With book 3 it all felt really rushed and not fleshed out. It felt like she wasn't invested in the characters anymore and I had expected so much more.
There was a lot of lead up to action, but this was bypassed and we were thrown right into the after events, which she hasn't really done (to my recollection) in the other books.

This book was also half the size of book 1 and had 100 pages less than book 2 😢

On one last note ... Maddox was robbed at the end!

As usual Sloane didn't disappoint while writing yet another great book! Even though this book was the end of Luna's story I absolute loved how it ended. I know without a doubt that we will be seeing more of Luna throughout the rest of the Legacies series.

The emotional rollercoaster that Luna's journey took me on was crazy but in the end the results were PERFECT! But even through the heartbreak and struggles that her path takes her down, she really does come out stronger at the end of it. Even if that path was completely opposite of what she expected or even wanted.

Maddox as her person, has always and will continue to always be there for her. Even if the path that he is given isn't what he was hoping it would be. But knowing that he's story is only just beginning gives us all something to look forward to in the future.

I'm not going to lie, I really did not like Jackson in the beginning of these books. But he really did grow into an amazing character by the end of book 3. I loved getting to watch as he works through his past and ultimately comes to term with his feelings of Luna and her family. He really does turn out to be the man that we all wanted him to be from the very beginning.

Luna and Jackson may be fated mates, and in their world that may mean everything to someone. But to Luna and Jackson the struggle of their past is what is ultimately keeping them both apart from the other half of their soul. In the end the only thing they can do is push past the trauma to give themselves the future that they both deserve.

It all started with such promise only to end with a wet fizzle. One and a half stars rounded up.

This book (#3) was just a mess!! It’s like the author ran out of anything to write about so she threw everything that crossed her mind into the mix, including a new pivotal character. Honestly, this was such a deviation from the plot line in books one and two that I wish I hadn’t read it.

I have to say I was pretty disappointed in the ending of this trilogy and I am eager for more in the series to hopefully have some redemption. I couldn’t believe the author would do that to her readers but I could kind of understand why. The big issue I have is you needed more time to develop these new bonds after you utterly destroyed these characters with the big reveal and twist in book 2’s ending. There wasnt enough substance and time in book 3 to make the bonds feel believable, to make the reader root for these characters after she made us fall for Maddox and Luna so much in book 3. I also wanted Luna to tell Maddox I told you so and be madder at him and not let him off the hook. I get the bonds are overwhelming but the readers are more mad than the characters are, which isn’t how it’s supposed to be.

I will say there were cute moments in book 3 between Jackson and Luna. I wish again we got another book because this one has so many different POVs it didnt feel like Jackson and Luna’s trilogy love story. I assume Maddox and Poppy will get their own story sometime but the author took from this book and felt like she jilted Luna for airtime. I didnt mind Poppy, she seems like a character I would love to read/listen about but again we didnt have the time. I loved the time with Morgan in the Shadow realm and seeing her guys again and their antics. Meeting her kids was fab too. I kinda hope since Poppy is an ultra hybrid and this special being, she might get more than one mate hehe. I loved the mention of the hellhounds too. I want to do a re-listen of Morgan’s story again haha. I also loved getting more Remy and her guys airtime. I was missing Creek and we got some moments with him too. I do wish we got time with Kane and Levi like we did with Roman, but it made sense since Luna is a Lycan so the alpha of alphas Lycan would get the most screen time. I also didn’t realize Jackson was so much older than Luna haha. I feel like he should have been wiser and not acting like a young 20 year old to be honest.

I thought their sexy scenes were yummy though and that I loved him being the older more domineering of the 2 despite them both being alpha. I liked that he stood up for her and was a good support for her. I wish we got to see how the dynamics were going to go with their pack but I know there is more to this world so I will just have to patiently wait for the next kid’s series. I so hope Nova and Raze are a thing haha or something that ties the families and characters together more.

In terms of the narration the female narrator did a fabulous job. I have no feedback for her besides keep doing what you are doing. I would give her a 5 star review if if was just her. My issues came with the male narrator. He was good in book 2 and I have no clue what happened here. The audio quality was super lacking. It had a lot of feedback and it cut out a couple times. I had to rewind a lot thinking it was the playback through my phone but it wasnt. He also switched up a lot of the accents and that bothered me a whole ton. Like people got British accents all of a sudden? And made some of the main characters from the original series sound so snooty. When he did Jackson’s POVs and parts it was fabulous but when he did Maddox it was randomly faster, cut out, made him sound super whiney. I would give him a 3 stars.

I would still recommend this world but caution readers to this ending. This series had a whole lot of potential and I dont know if the author was having timing issues or if the characters gave her a though time, but it wasnt my favorite of her books so far.

Sloane has written an emotional roller coaster of a conclusion to Luna's story, it certainly has been one hell of a whiteknucled ride. Luna has been put through hell, a rejection, poisoning, betrayals and death.

Luna has gone on one hell of a journey, emotionally, physically and at a soul deep level. She's had to lose herself to find out who she really is and what she can become.

Maddox her ride or die, her person, who confused their deep bond for love but inevitably it wasn't meant to be. Maddox has had to come to terms with his best friend not being his fated mate but I believe fate bonded them for a reason but only time will tell. Maddox’s journey is only just beginning and I can't wait.

Jackson has gone from prrsona non grata to the best of them. His fated mate bond with Luna was triggering for him, it brought his painful past back to life in many ways. His growth in this final book is immense and his willingness to move forward is inspiring.

Luna and Jackson might be pulled together by fate but its their own tenacity and spirt that has brought them to where they are now. They have the chance to rewrite the mistakes of the past but the future lies solely in their hands.

Books 1-2 had an epic hold on me and I thought I might d!3 waiting for book 3, especially when I couldn’t find it … as books 1 & 2 are published under another pen name. That definitely sent me on a bit of a chase.

Book 3 pretty much picked up where 2 left off, so there are high stakes, loads of drama and of course: plenty of witty dialogue. And in typical Wildhart fashion (I’m learning) a thirst for revenge.

Very fun, as is also typical of Wildheart.

Rejected mates.
Fated mates.
Tr@fficking.
Vengeance.
Training.
Demons.
F!ght scenes.
Lycans & pack-life.
War.

Overall: this whole series gripped me—4 stars.

🎧 Audio:
Both narrators have great voices and opt to perform the book, and do so beautifully.
Her parts are nearly flawless with crisp, clear overall sound quality. His though, could use some help as there’s a windy/ feedback-y sound throughout and it’s rather distracting.

I have never felt so let down by a book in a series especially the final book. The first two were great. The story was well written and you wanted to ride that roller coaster with Maddox and Luna. But for me Jackson was never redeemed for his part in hurting Luna. Yet we’re suppose to be ok with them at the end simply because the bond still remained. I would have cut his junk off and shoved it down his throat or made him grovel endlessly. Then to throw Poppy in. Just the way her and Maddox were written I felt so much anger FOR Luna after all she went through. And her warning Maddox that this could happen, and then just kicked aside. And Maddox’s family just simply accepting poppy after everything Maddox and Luna had a went through. They suck! Yeah, This book was a big ol NOPE for a finish.

Epic Conclusion!

Alpha Born is absolutely amazing! You won’t be able to put it down! After the devastating end of Alpha Bound I NEEDED to know what happened… the book starts right there and simply doesn’t stop!

I don’t want to say to much to spoil anything here BUT my heart was racing and I devoured the pages. Luna is #girlgoals and I absolutely love the changes she goes through here. We get to see different sides to our sexy alphas here which makes it next to impossible to pick a favorite. Your emotions will be all over the place here AND the heat factor is off the charts! An amazing must read series!

Perfect HEA for Luna!

I truly do love Sloane Murphy’s FMC’s! Luna is everything…sassy, independent, stubborn, furiously loving, and protective to those that she considers hers. The hurt that we were left with at the end of book 2 picks right up in this final book. Maddox and Jackson both have to face past choices that now lay heavy on their future. The punches keep coming but the kick butt FMC’s (Luna, Poppy, Remy, & Mor) do not let the guys have all the fun. The ending is perfect and I can not wait for more to come from this amazing world that Sloane has built. TW/18+ 4.5/stars.

Luna ❤️

So, I waited to start Luna’s series because like so many others, I love to binge a story. I am NOT disappointed by this storyline at all, although I am left wanting more. (Of course!) I am looking forward to reading Maddox’s story and all of the other kids. All the realms actually. In any case, Luna’s series has been a great peek in to the Lycian world and also a sneak peek at some of the other realms. Great work Sloane! You definitely keep me fully intrigued and ready to keep reading. ❤️

Mindblown!

You can tell a book & author are amazing when they completely flip your feelings, doing a 180, making you fall and swoon for a character that you'd have love to hit. I am so glad that Luna gets the happy ending she deserved and that she really does end up with the right guy for her. The Shadow Legacies books have been an emotional rollercoaster and this book has been no different. Loved seeing all the characters I love and new from this world. Love this book!

Wow!

Ok , let me begin by saying this book did not go the way I thought I wanted it to go. I actually read the ending first and I was so, so, so upset. In the first two book in the series you think one thing and can't imagine it going another way. But, as I began to read from the beginning and saw the other connections and understood the other connections I could not be heartbroken anymore. Everyone is getting a happy ending with who they were ment to be with.

Luna gets her HEA

Is it how I secretly wanted it to be? Maybe, maybe not. But I am happy. Luna grows into herself a little more and will continue to grow into the Alpha we know she can be. Maddox's story is just beginning so I look forward to see his story more in future books. As usual Sloane captures your attention from page 1 and keeps you hooked all the way through. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

I am so excited to get to the end of Luna’s story & I have so many mixed feelings about this book.

First off, this story did not go anywhere that I expected. It was definitely a rollercoaster of a story. Secondly I loved Luna as a female main character and I am so sad that her story has come to an end. But what an ending it was. Seriously, I loved how it turned out & the steam was chefs kiss.

Finally, I really cannot wait for the next of the legacy kids to get their story told. I already miss the Shadow World & can’t wait to see where it all goes next.

2 stars because I cannot even remember who Black ended up being because of the emotional trauma this series put me through.

Like WHAT. After seeing my man Maddox in bed, nothing compares for my girl Luna.

Weird info to Poppy that just didn’t stick. We had two books to build up Maddox and Luna only for it to be ripped away.

Should’ve ended up a ménage situation and no Poppy. Couldn’t even read her parts because I was so pissed off at Maddox.

Wow , this was amazing. It took me on one emotional rollercoaster. I laughed , cried , got so mad and then swooned so much. This was an amazing end to a brilliant series. I can't wait for more books in this universe though and I'm hoping a certain sassy best friend gets a book. Highly recommend this book and series , again it's amazing

I don’t want it to end

This is everything and more I could of hoped for. The way each character grows throughout Lunas story is amazing and I’m so sad to see this end. Jackson has my heart I hated him in the beginning but now he’s mine!!

If your sitting on this series then DON’T you need to read it NOW!

What an ending to an epic story ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
And an added bonus was having a cross over by my all time favorite characters from #Crown Of Blood and Bone series. I loved all these characters and definitely need more on Nova and Raze. I will definitely be recommending this book and all Sloane Murphy other books to all who will hear me 🙌

Felt a little rushed

All the jumping around between 5 POVs was great & then not. I loved getting some Remy sass in this book. She's my fave!! But I didn't like Poppy. I wanted so bad for Maddox & Luna to end up together so for them to kind of say goodbye there at the end was kind of crushing. I had hoped for more with this story. Oh well. Sloane Murphy is still my fave forever!!

Still sore about Luna and Maddox, Sloane!!!!! BUT the fact that Jackson didn’t leave Luna’s side after the whole trafficking market battle?! Swoon!!!!! The drama just kept unfolding with new facts and pieces of the story being put together.
The final battle was over too quickly but we got to see a certain couple finally get together and it was a really good ending to the trilogy.

Kinda routing for Nova and Raze as that would be perfect.
