I hired her to be my nanny, but I’m taking her to be my wife.
Maggie was just what I needed to take care of my little girl. But I don’t just want her in my house. I want her in my bed. I’m obsessed and I’m never going to be able to let her go.
She’s perfect. Delicious. Tempting. When she’s threatened, I’ll do whatever it takes to protect her.
It doesn’t matter that I hired her to work for me, I’m never letting her go. I’m going to make her see that she belongs to me. Forever.
This was a sweet and romantic story with a beautiful little girl that fell in love with Maggie so she became her nanny🥰🥰 Sean wanted a nanny for his daughter but got so so much more. But both Maggie and Sean had their secrets and threats have been made... But Sean fights for his woman and his family. A great mafia story with steam, romance, secrets, drama, action and everything you need and with a HEA😍😍😍
Parecia-me realmente uma boa ideia.
Isso sim deixa-me desconfortável.
Nanny Mafia Bride by Mae Doyle is book 8 in The Bonanno Family Series. This is the story of Maggie and Sean. Sean is very attracted to Maggie but his daughter has instant love for her. SO he takes her to be his Nanny for Sara. Enjoyed their story.
Lacks plot or character development, completely based off instalove. The lead female character is pretty much a wimp and the tiktok scene didn't even happen in the book.
I have to DNF this book and I’m not even halfway through. It’s awful. I can see the idea behind the book but it was the developed so poorly by the author, I couldn’t bring myself to push through and finish it regardless of how small the book is.
Why am I on chapter 5 and still haven’t seen character development? I hardly know what the characters look like aside from the fact that the MMC obviously has muscles and the FMC has long hair. There is not a hint of their personalities apart from the guy’s disturbing possessiveness over a woman he talked to for 5 minutes, and the girl’s complete idiocy which is shown by her moving in with this guy without doing an ounce of research. The MMC tells the FMC he was going to take her home regardless of what she said and the fact that she’s good with kids just gave him an excuse to do so without having to use force. And don’t even get me started on how the FMC loses her job with less than 24h notice because the state is shutting down the school for failure to file paperwork correctly. I’m sorry is this how things work in the US??
The MMC is meant to be part of a mafia family and for some reason him and his brothers talk “business” in public. I didn’t realise the mafia was so open about its shipments, but who am I to assume maybe they are pretty open about the ins and outs of business. 🤷🏻♀️
Reading this book was like reading someone’s wet dream that was written shortly and poorly right after waking up to make sure they don’t forget it.
no, no, no, it’s a big no. it was like reading wattpad in 2013
I thought this was a cute short romance book of 209 pages with single dad/nanny trope but clearly I was wrong. it’s so fucking insufferable I did not like it at all, it’s awful. everything felt so stupid and everything was going so fucking fast. First the MMC tells the FMC she’s going to work for him as his daughters nanny regardless of what she wanted, ‘cause she’s good with kids (???) - which may I add, that only lasted 1/2 chapters lol -, and then he “kidnaps” her and locks her up in a CAGE/CELL because of her past ?????? idk but then a couple of chapters later he’s like “you’ll be her mom some day” LIKE WHATTTT SCUSE ME SIRRRR WTFFF. and then he’s like: “Maggie, i want you. I love you blah blah blah” and then (this is the best part), the bad guy enters their home and he’s like i’m gonna kill y’all, and she goes like “i’m gonna save the man i love” and next thing i know THEY’RE GETTING MARRIED, LMAO THEY MET AT AN ICE CREAM STORE LIKE 2 WEEKS AGO, KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE OTHER, AND THEN THEY’RE SUDDENLY IN LOVE AND GETTING MARRIED WTF.
the writing is so poorly that made me cry. It lacks plot, character development and we know NOTHING about the characters. I think the author had a great idea but it turned out bad.
Maggie and Sean had so many secrets. As their lives intertwine, their secrets unwind. Sean daughter Sara fell in love with Maggie at a chance meeting at an ice cream parlor on a very hot day. Sean decided that he wanted Maggie as his daughter nanny. But her nanny skills wasn’t the only thing that had Sean interest. As Maggie secrets begin to unfold, Sean was determined to protect her and his daughter. The Marleno brothers took care of Maggie enemies but another secret was uncovered when Freddy was hit with shrapnel from a bomb and Sean was also hurt in the bombing. Maggie’s skills as a doctor took over and Sean realized she was a doctor and because she was a witness to a crime, and witness protection she pretended to be a preschool teacher. Loved the story and Mae continues to bring the heat with each new story. Looking forward to reading Freddy and Olivia story next.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a mafia romance with secrets, drama, tension, family, passion and love. Sean and Maggie are two very different people that you wouldn't think were meant to be together. She affected him as no one else had. He needed her more than he realized. Maggie was drawn to him just as strongly but there were things she did not know. She has given her heart to a dangerous man and a sweet girl. She has a lot thrown at her but she is stronger than she ever realized. I enjoyed their story and the characters. Along with the mafia drama there is a love story that takes the center stage.

I just can’t on this book. I almost DNF this book like the 2nd chapter in. I’m all for instant love but this was just poorly written. The FMC loses her job, meets a man, gets hired and taken by the man because he wants her SO bad. This all happened within like the first or second chapter. Randomly the author is like... Let’s make her be in witness protection this whole time. Oh and let’s make her a doctor in her past life just at the time a doctor/nurse was really needed. Us not knowing anything of it UNTIL the scene happened toward the end of the book. THEN to top it off, all the action in the book just sounded thrown together. This was just not it for me. The book could’ve been a 5 star if there were a little less plot.

Sean has taken Sara, his daughter, to an ice cream shop and they happen to meet Maggie. He finds out that she's a school teacher but he needs her to be a nanny for his daughter. She accepts the job as she has lost her job due to funding problems at the school. She is also worried about her creepy landlord so he saves her from that problem. They have amazing chemistry together but there are things that pop up with his dangerous mafia family. This is a story that has all the dynamics of the mafia, secrets, tension, drama, family, passion and love. Great story. Nanny Mafia Bride is the eighth book in The Bonanno Family series. This story is filled with action, danger, drama and more than a few secrets, which add a nice twist to the romance. It all starts with one hot day, an ice cream parlor and a chance encounter. From there it takes off at a fast pace and at times felt too fast. I also found that the book could use another visit to a good proofreader/editor to correct some obvious errors. But aside from that the story-line kept me interested and the chemistry was sizzling hot.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This book was really good little Sara was adorable and I love Maggie's character I wish I would have seen her fighting more cause in beginning she seemed tough then she was scared then tough again like she started with fire it would have been nice to see the fire throughout she did show it again towards the end though so that was good and Sean seemed like a well balanced character I did think it was weird that he fell so dashed for her to the point he kinda stalked her so I would have loved a little more hard to get but other than that it was a great read can't wait to read the next book
overall decent book if you want a quick read i guess …. i finished it in an hour or so and honestly could not tell you anything of interest that happened.
the idea of the story was great and if parts of it were expanded it would have made a great book.
I read parts especially when olivia turned up and wondered if i had accidentally skipped a chapter …. i hadn’t he just decided to plan the wedding then ask her to marry him.
in essence it felt rushed, like the story was on a time limit.
not sure how i made it through, i think it was me thinking it was going to get better and also how cute sara was!
Each book is a stand-alone with the next book’s characters introduced in this story. Love at first site. That’s the reason he asked her to be the nanny. It wouldn’t have mattered if she said yes…she WAS going to be the nanny. And more. He’s used to getting what he wants. She comes with a lot of baggage he doesn’t know about. She’s a wanted woman with the bad guys hot on her trail. They are the mafia. Luckily her man is a mob boss too. This is a very good book with a touching ending.
Overall it was a great storyline but it was poorly written. What i mean is that, the story accelerated too fast. Sean instantly knew he needed to have Maggie? There was not enough character build up for Maggie. And suddenly, Sean knew he had to have Maggie, would never let her go, etc. The author seemed to rush through this storyline without taking their time with building the story and fleshing it out, adding suspense etc. It was a great storyline but the author should’ve taken their time and built the characters & their relationships up a little more.

Sean needs a nanny to look after his daughter Sara, especially as the boss he need his head in the game. Maggie needs a job and when a little ice cream incident bumps them together Sean knows he will have her. but what will she stay when she learns who he is? well written nanny/mafia boss romance,, the characters draw you in and the story line holds your attention through out.

I loved how we got to meet Sean. He is NOT what I expected at all. He was BETTER!!
I loved how he cared for his girl and then realized he wanted more for himself, too.
Watching how he protect Maggie after she got in his employe and how they uncovered so many layers is definitely a true Mae Doyle characteristic of her awesome books. And the twists at the end I did NOT expect!!!
Great book. There's a few characters I hope get their story soon :)
I could not get past what an a-hole he was. I don’t mind gruff and I can handle angry, but his was just crazy stuff. This was my first book in the series, so maybe I missed some redeeming qualities in previous books. But Sean did not pique any interest in reading the others.
It is not written well. And super unrealistic. I thought it would be better than what it was based on the beginning. Nope! Went downhill quickly. I made it to page 75 and could go no further. Just ugh do not waste your time. It just does not read like an adult wrote this.
This was so cute. I loved this daughter in here she was sooooo cute and added a lighthearted twist to the story. The plot is action packed and has plenty of passion. I rooted for Maggie to tell him the truth about who she was and liked that he really stood up for her. Definitely worth the read.
I’m just loving this author and all her hard work. She makes us fall in love with the characters and the exciting banter with a lot of heat! A great read for sure!

This book is a little different from the other books. Sean took Maggie, but at the same time, she help and ge needed a nanny. So, it wasn't as if he drugged her or kidnapped her. They both benefitted. Definitely not a dull moment.
Honestly this book was ehh. I didn’t really feel the chemistry between the characters until the end but it felt tos forced. The way he was so protective over her was cute but he was so possessive over her without really knowing her and then he would gaslight her. I found him annoying sometimes.
Did not like it at all. Immature writing immature plot. The story itself did not make a lot of sense. The obsession with Maggie is something i don't understand. When did he have time to be this obsessed? And after putting her in a cage she was still in love. Poooor
Ms. Doyle painted an intriguing and sexy picture with Gavin & Maggie's story. Classic opposites attract, their chemistry sizzled throughout the book. A great story ending with a HEA.
