Each book focuses on one of the band members and features a different trope (i.e. bodyguard/rockstar, second chance, friends-to-lovers, fake relationship, and doctor/patient).
The Lovely Oblivion bandmates are all strong, sexy, and sassy. Plus, their significant others are all book boyfriend material. Every book has an HEA. Enjoy!

Lyra lived through a really traumatic experience and that event left behind its demons. She is still healing from that night and the worst of all are the nightmares that seem like don't want to vanish. Her fear grows when her therapist moves to another country and she has to go through all that process again with another one. But little did she knew is that the new therapist is a man.
Dr. Hudson Reese knows who Lyra is and, to be honest, he always had a crush on her. And now, somehow she is his patient. His struggle is real, but he also cares for her and decides to push those feelings aside and try to help her.
But their appointments grow into something bigger, something way more than they can handle at the moment. Will they risk their social life for love, or will they play it safe but break their hearts?
Since I read the first book from these series (in which happens the tragic night that involves Lyra) I wanted to read the story from her POV. The author really humbled us all and wrote it last out of all books. 🤣 I loved Lyra from the very first moment she was mentioned and I wasn't surprised at all that her story is so good!
Hudson may be my second favorite boyfriend out of these series (Rydel is love at first sight). He was so understanding and patient with her and his morals were driving me crazy to the point where I thought that this book is going to end opposite of my liking. But I love how it all got sorted up and how it ended.
These series feel like one big family and, I'm not going to lie, I am sad that it's over. But, like the saying says, the end is sweeter when you enjoy the journey. And, oh, how much I enjoyed! I am so happy that I was on this ride from the very first station.
The author is very talented and I love how she improved in her writing with every next book. What an amazing ending to a series that were a rollercoaster of emotions and interesting adventures. 💛
Although these books can be read as stand alone books I would suggest you read some of the others as characters reappear in this book. Lyra's book starts where Jade's book finished and Lyra has been kidnapped and assaulted. It doesn't luckily go into too much graphic detail but it's not been good for her. I like the female main characters in these book as they are both strong and feisty as well as showing a gentler feminine side as well. I enjoyed Hudson but found him weak at times which was a bit annoying and didn't like the way he dealt with his relationship with Lyra at the beginning. I felt the ending was a bit rushed but it no way detracted from the tale. These are lovely short books that can be read in one hit which I did. They are steamy without detracting from the storyline. The sex is well written and HOT! Do not give this book to your mum!!!!
I have been looking forward to Lyra’s story since the first book in this series, and I was not disappointed. I love that the women in this author’s books are sexually empowered and confident in themselves.
This short book jumps right into the story. Lyra is dealing with the aftermath of the happenings in Jade’s book.
Things I really liked – Lyra keeps her promises, she knows her worth and sets clear boundaries. Things I didn’t like was Hudson, despite being a psychiatrist, not being honest.
I highly recommend this series.

Lyra having faced trauma made me feel sad for her. I personally didn't like her treatment of Hudson. Hudson was made out to be a gem of a man & I felt angry on his behalf. The story was fast paced & based more on sorting on Lyra's feelings. Though she could have been more understanding of the position she put Hudson in. Well written to invoke some reactions from readers.
This is the story of Lyra and Hudson. This patient and doctor are attracted to each other but they must resist. I enjoyed this steamy rockstar romance as the chemistry between them grows too strong to ignore. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book is one that I’ve been looking forward to since I read the first book in the series about Jade. I would recommend reading Jade’s book before reading this one even though it can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed that first book about Jade more than this one. I think the conflict wasn’t as well constructed as others in the series that I have read. But overall I still enjoyed this one.
Side note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review
Lyra is the fifth book/novella in the Lovely Oblivion series and can be read as a standalone. As this book takes place in the months after the first book, Jade, I would suggest you read that book first before you read this one so you aren’t completely lost while reading this book. I read this book and had to re-read Jade right after so I could remember what happened, etc. But if you can’t, no big deal. This book doesn’t go into detail on the band and the band members itself if you wanted to know more about band, etc. then you should read the first book of the series as well as the other three.
Lyra Jacobs is the guitarist in the band, Lovely Oblivion, and has been on tour for the past few years with her best friend and bandmates. After her abduction involving her best friend, Jade, Lyra is still facing the effects of the event and has been seeking help with her therapist. While she is putting on a brace face during the daytime, it’s the nighttime and the silence that makes the fears come back to haunt her.
Dr. Hudson Reese is the therapist that Lyra has been referred to by her previous therapist. After meeting with her, he agrees to take her on as a new patient and despite his hesitations. He has a past filled with guilt and sorrow and seeing Lyra sometimes, he is reminded of it and has to remember to keep the flashbacks at bay and she is not her.
One of the popular romance tropes is forbidden romance and that is exactly what Hudson and Lyra’s relationship is since they are doctor and patient. The thrill of sneaking around and keeping everything within the bubble of the two of them is what keeps these two such a hot item. Their relationship is steamy and spicy and they seem to be good for one another despite the secrets. Even though they were seeing each other, they still kept up with her sessions despite how they used up the appointment time.
While I enjoyed reading this novella and about Lyra, I wished it was a little longer and expanded a little bit more on the years that Lyra and Hudson were apart. It just felt a little unfinished I guess and I had questions about Lyra and Hudson during their time apart and wanted a little more detail I guess. I also wondered if anything ever happened between Lyra and Drake.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good steamy read and for those who enjoy rockstar and/or forbidden romances. I also recommend reading the rest of the Lovely Oblivion series to read about the other bandmates and how they found their HEA.
Based on the description, I was really looking forward to this book, but it ended up almost being a DNF. Instead, since it's quite short (a novella), I opted to speed read my way through it.
First of all, this story is a member of the forbidden love trope, not my favorite not but not a deal breaker for me either. Doctor/patient though? Oof. Psychiatrist/patient? Ai yi yi, no. Please, no. That's wrong in so many ways, I can barely count. Perhaps that's partially on me for assuming from the blurb that Hudson was an MD. He's not. Within a couple of sessions, they're boinking like rabbits on every available surface, often in the very office where other patients, patients who trust the doctor, come to lay very serious stuff out. Just… No.
In short, Hudson is weak and unprofessional, and he keeps calling Lyra by an ex's name. Lyra, who's admittedly suffered a pretty horrible trauma (told in dream/flashbacks; read Jade's story for details, supposedly), comes across as needy and self absorbed, expecting Hudson to blow off other patients in favor of more boinking.
I don't like to be negative, and maybe some of my opinion is because I'm not the target audience after all, but this opinion is my honest review.

This short story is not so much about a rock band. It's more about one of the band members going through a trauma and seeking phychiatrc help. I didn't read Jade's story, therefore I can't really comment about the band.
Lyra had a traumatic experience and in this book she undergoes phychiatrc treatment. It's more about her and her physiatrist. Except for a few mentions of "tour", there is nothing else about the band itself. She experienced brutality and cruelty at the hands of her kidnapper. She is haunted by the effects that keeps her awake. It's more about, Hudson and their trysts. She expects too much of him. He warns her about what to expect, but she carries on regardless. He risks losing his licence for practicing, but that's on him. I feel that she is unreasonable and jumps to conclusions.
This has an HEA as promised by the author.
I received an eARC from BookSirens and the views expressed are my personal opinion.
My Review I received a copy of this book from BookSirens. The book is already out. Trigger warning for violence. There is also mention of suicide. Lyra was the victim of an attack at the hands of her friend and bandmate’s stalker. As a result of this trauma, she has been seeing a therapist. Said therapist is moving away and refers her clients to someone new. Enter Hudson. The two share an instant attraction, but as doctor and patient they are not supposed to act on. I love taboo romances, so this was right up my alley. I loved the fact that Lyra and Hudson couldn’t fight their attraction for each other. Lyra was my favorite character. She is strong, yet vulnerable. Hudson is very sweet though he did annoy me at times. This was a short, steamy, enjoyable read. Would I read more from A. D. Craig? Yes. Would I go back and read the series? Yes. I enjoy the story and why this is my first book by A. D. Craig. It would not be the last.
This book is part of a series and can be read as a standalone- but I didn't read the books before this and I was a little lost. Otherwise, this is a very inspiring and sweet story!
Lyra is seeking psychiatric help because she was attacked. The doctor, Hudson, is a fan of hers but also wants to help her. The chemistry between them is palpable. All of the girls in the band seem to be confident, mature, and sexually adventurous. I recommend this to anyone who likes to read about strong heroines.

Lyra hoes through a traumatic experience and is getting help with a psychiatrist. All of a sudden the psychiatrist tells her she can no longer see her and is referring her to a new Dr. Lyra doesn’t want a new Dr but when she isn’t getting better she tries. They are attracted to each other. Will Hudson do the right thing?
I didn't enjoy this as much as the other books in this series. I liked Hudson but he was a bit weak. I liked Lyra and felt sympathy for her at first but their relationship felt rushed and I thought Lyra was very unreasonable. The sex scenes were hot though. A good read but needed to be longer.

I personally didn't enjoy this book. I forced my way through it. It was so rushed it almost gave me whiplash, and it all just seemed a bit ridiculous. I found the whole thing very unrealistic and it went from 0-100 in like 5 pages. She barely knew this man, then all of a sudden they were confessing their feelings for each other. I was just a bit baffled by it all.
