I dont really think this book depicts the truth, lots of the plot and details seem quite unrealistic, finish 2/5 of it and dont have any interest to continue. dont really think I will reread this one.
This masterpiece by Liang Xiaosheng described a life's journey of an ordinary, yet unordinary, family in Harbin, the provincial capital of Hei Long Jiang Province, China. The stories are easily related to and contain a depth rarely seen in Chinese literature. In many ways, it is deeper than The Ordinary World by Lu Yao. Yes, it is that good.
