I think this author has never been preggo and it shows....also how the teacher/student affair was handled. How ALL was h fault. Like older, authority H did no wrong. h seduced him. Like i went back to check what year this book is written. 2021? Not 1990? So unrealistic. Not to mention how she changes schools and countries no biggy. School in UK is very very different from US school system. Transition would be hard. And h is bed-rest for weeks at a time. With barely there 7-9 week preggo. What will she do when months preggo?

Book starts with h being practically invalid because she is preggo. She spews vomit everywhere several times a day. Faints at school etc. Damn ..

She is 7 weeks preggo. Like 7!! That is very very early and it is hard to find even a heart beat at that time. Like she just missed her period 2 weeks. That early. She got punched in the stomach and feels "contractions" . What? No way.
In the hospital they have fetal monitor on her?! Like that band around her stomach. For 7 weeks? Like the baby is a peanut. A little shrimp at best. Nothing to monitor. .. that does not happen.

OTT dramatic book about injuries and preggo invalid. Where it is miracle h is alive with how fragile she is. Slap in the face. Punch in the stomach and she is in the hospital overnight with IV.

Chapter 6. H yells and throws h out, because h had a affair with teacher and ran off to US. Like he yelled "how could you?!"
Is this real? This world where the underage kid gets blamed about the affair with grown man? Like she ran from London because everybody blamed her and now H?

“I just told him that Shane and I had an affair and that Shane was my English teacher. I didn’t get a chance to explain everything that happened afterwards, nor the fact that I was kicked out of my home within twelve hours of telling my parents about me being pregnant. He didn’t give me a chance.” I cried. “He just started yelling at me, claiming I was a horrible person because I got Shane arrested and then ran away to America without a backwards glance.” I sobbed. “He told me to get out.” My shoulders shook as I dropped my face into my hands. “He’s an idiot, London. Yes, you made a mistake, but you didn’t deserve all of the shit you were dealt after. It’s Hunter’s loss.” She told me softly. “If he had just listened to you, he would have known that you didn’t just run away. You didn’t have much of a choice, sweetheart.”

Still chapter 6 -h has been beaten up twice. Fainted twice. Hospital twice. 9 weeks preggo now i think. How will she survive birth?

Chapter 7. FFS!!! Now she gets a head cold. Gets dizzy and "everything goes dark" and fell down the stairs?!
WHAT THE HELL! Too much okay?!? How is she even alive to be 17y.

I will skip and skim at this point. Still dont know how old this dude teacher Shane is. But i cant h waking up in hospital every freaking chapter and then bed-rest.

From skimming. Chapter 10. Now H and h are at the hospital?! Nvm. I dont wanna know. Somehow OM (Shane the teacher) sister is evil and works at the same school in US. Is evil to h. Then OM gets out of prison. Flies over to US. Evil sister gets fired. School offers same job (UK english teacher mind you) to child predator OM. SO
o OM is again h teacher?!
/face palm

Seems she got dramatic Emergency c-section. NOT SUPRISED!
Seems OM is not in the childs life and i never found out how old he was.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

This was the worst book I’ve read all year.

It is written like a wattpad fanfic of a teenager who is obsessed with teen pregnancy and the quarterback. It’s also poorly written, so many typos and spelling errors.

First off, the storyline was absolutely ridiculous. The MCs met and fell in love same day while she was pregnant with her old teachers baby while he was in prison. They broke up and got back together every 3 days. The female mc was so weak she literally cried and stuttered and got so upset she made herself sick every single page.

Literally every character was unbearable.

I read this book bc someone recommended book 2 to me and I figured I’d read book 1 first — I will not be reading book 2.

3/5 ⭐️
0.75/5 🌶 (one 4play scene but 👉👌 was fade to black)

Tropes:
- high school romance
- pregnant heroine *not the hero’s*
- new girl at school x hot senior quarterback
- major damsel in distress
- protective + possessive hero
- OM + OW drama
- cliques
- insta-love
- guy falls first

POV: first person - dual

Type: interconnected stand-alone (book one)

This was cute, fluffy, DRAMATIC, and a whole lot ridiculous but it was just what I needed to save me from going into a book slump.

But like I said, a whole lot ridiculous.

High school pregnancy

London from London lol. I actually thought both main characters were pretty immature many times in the book.

Hunter flew off the handle every time his jealousy spiked. Now London is basically a doormat. Let me tell you her inner thoughts when she meets the so handsome Hunter is almost crunch considering what she had been through with Shane and her parents.

I would have loved to actually see her parents have some karma for all the stuff they had done.

A 700 pages long book would not be able to cover up all of the events that happened in this 200 pages story. Had a pretty good plot but to much occur at the same time. How many times can a person go to a hospital? I think she was hospitalized around four times in the story and at the nurse at least two. Between that three girls harassed her, got bullied, rumors going around and people getting beating up every few pages. What are the odds that the sister of the teacher she had a relationship is her English teacher in America? Lawsuits being thrown around and her ex getting released from prison and later trying to get together with her again. When she does not want to be with him anymore he decides to sign away his parental right because he couldn’t have her. Let’s not forget that every single thing that happens in the book takes place in around 3/4 months. Just to add a little thing. When Hunter’s sister goes to labor London suddenly gets the flue from nowhere and once again has to go to the hospital. Not long after a tree falls trough her roof and the floor is about to cave in. Don’t worry, help comes in about 2 seconds and she is rescued just in time. Hate how dramatic everyone is and won’t let anybody explain anything and just run away. London from London, seriously?

Terrible. This was nothing but petty drama and a heroine who got on my nerves. The fact that she never thought that the relationship between her and her teacher was wrong should have made me DNF. Along with the fact that she passed out too many times to count. What did Hunter like about her? We never found out.

Speaking of Hunter. While he was caring, the boy jumped to conclusions like no other. He constantly jumped to conclusions and begged for forgiveness. Rinse and repeat.

My curiosity of how this would end made me keep reading when I should have put the book down. I need to get better at what recommendations I take from others.

Oh. My. Gosh.

I loved this book SO much. Hunter is just...he's everything. Hunter knew from the first time she threw up on him that she was the one for him. The way he took care of her was so sweet. Everything he has done for her Wolfe was amazing. He loves him like his own, because even if he isn't blood, Wolfe is his. I got pregnant at 17, but my 'Hunter' is my amazing husband(who is the actual father of my daughter) teen pregnancy is hard as crap. Raising a baby is hard as crap. But Hunter never let her do it alone. I love them, and I love how it ended for them. I hope with Logan and Bryce's story we still hear about Hunter and London and there kids. 💜

T.O. Smith makes me fall in love with all of her books and she for sure knows I love it.

All of her books hit you right where you need to be hit. Real life experiences. I love it. I love her! 💜💜

A new Start

I wasn’t sure exactly how I felt about this when I first started reading as it’s not a book I’d normally read. It’s definitely a roller coaster of a story line, but London and Hunter fight and overcome and grow throughout the story and tackle some pretty difficult things. I wasn’t sure how it was going to end but it ending nicely.

Really

A New start de T. O. Smith Serie Unexpected Babies libro 1

Argumento:

Me pareció ridículo!

WTF!

loved

Wow. Loved how this gives hope that there ar r good guys out there. Yes they make mistakes but the fact that Hunter a senior in high school could readily accept London and her son without it being my his because he loved her was beautiful. They were adorable together and many swoonworthy moments. As well as steamy hot moments. Yes they were both immature at times and jealous but let remember high school and everyone has their moments. But good god there was so much drama London went through: horrible parents, ex in jail because of horrible parents, shipped to America, horrible girls in school cause the school quarterback deigned to talk to her, multiple hospital trips, manipulations, assault, natural disasters, etc. can’t wait for Bryce’s book.

A little weird for me. And very fanciful with how everything happened between Hunter and London. Things don't go that smoothly when it comes to pregnancy and having a high schooler step up for a child that isn't theirs. Then Lila being pregnant. It was just a little odd how no one was freaking out and everyone was cool with it. That rarely happens. I do like London as a character. She was willing to sacrifice a lot and do whatever it took to take care of herself and her baby. And she didn't want hand outs. That was a big deal. I liked the overall story as long as I didn't think about how weird the situation was with all the pregnant high schoolers.

Hunter 🩷 London

As a reader who loves baby romances, this was an excellent read for me. Hunter was amazing in how he cared for London from the beginning. It read like a Soap Opera regarding how much trauma London suffered when it came to the baby, but I'm a fan of SO, so plus there. I would have liked to see a little more fight in London, she was a little too meek for me, but I get it that she was young and pregnant. Also, the cover is misleading since there was barely any talk of his football. The moment he met London, he was all focused on her.
I am looking forward to the other books in the series.

Perfection!

This book! It hit every single feeling and then some. After a tragic event, Logan's family basically disowns her for her choices, and she goes to live with her aunt in America. On her first day of school, she vomits on the star quarterback Hunter, and the rest is history. It's an instant attraction and all of those mushy feelings that make you swoon and 𝑎𝑤𝑤𝑤! I couldn't put this down until I was finished. Their story sucked me in and kept me on edge with every single bump, giving me everything I wanted and more with little Wolfe.

I don't usually read young adult and now I know why. Don't have a timeline to go by, so it is somewhat confusing. At chapter 8 she should have had a miscarriage by now. I'm not sure of rules in London, but it does not work that way in the U.S.A . (teacher/student) and everyone is okay with that. Now a teacher who has had sex with a student teaching at the school - NO. It was the same lines over and over for the first few chapters.

Too much drama

I really wanted to love this book. But holy cow, the author has the poor female main character go through so much crap from bullying, to possible miscarriage, then there’s a hurricane, then her blood sugar is too low. She’s in the hospital more times than I could count. As much as I love this trope, I think I will skip the other three books in the series. This one was too much

I thought this book was cute.

We got Lila who is new and pregnant, she gets attention from a star quarterback, and he falls first. He is instantly drawn to her.

Love how is willing to step up and take care of her without even knowing her or her situation.

I did find it kinda annoying when he found out some new information she told him he got mad he takes off and doesn’t talk to unless something bad happens to her and his coming back.

There was hardly any communication between the two.

I would not call this a secret baby OR sports romance. The secret was out really quick, and the only game in the whole book, the mmc was injured so he wasn't playing. I liked it well enough, but not enough to read the other books. It was a nice quick read, good for a palate cleanser.

quick easy read

Lush little pallet cleanser quick read and keeps you engaged I read it in under a day I’d have likes more character development between London and hunter and the whole football/sports romance? There wasn’t really much cus he was injured but overall I’d give it 3.4-4*

This way to sweet.

Loved the relationship between London and Hunter. Through all of the ups and downs they came out fighting in the end and were, completely made for each other.
So happy, London had the HEA she deserved. That girl has had such a tough ride at a young age but is one of the strongest characters I have had the privilege of reading.

London, you've got this Mama.

4 stars because...

I really did enjoy this book. London and Hunter's love story was cute. 4 stars because I just wish London was a tad but strong. I get it they're teenagers with adult problems but I just wish she was strong and wouldn't cry and run away. Over all it's a great book.

Cringey. This book had me multiple times throwing my phone down and staring at the ceiling.
The story had so much potential but it felt like it was being pushed along too fast. Multiple things just didnt make sense. Felt like what you thought teen pregnancy would be like when you were 10 years old.
