I really enjoyed this one!! I felt so bad for Mia she had a sorta good life. Good job, husband, and a baby on the way but it changed when her douche of a husband said he wouldn't pick her up after she worked super late and fell asleep at the wheel and killed few peoples. It was a accident but she took accountability and wanted the most max jail time. She also lost her baby and the douche husband discovered her.

Now years went by she's still grieving and heading home, she has a plan kill herself she has nothing left she can't. She finds out her parents hired someone to kill them so she emails him. But when it comes down to killing her Death doesn't he sees something different in her and he won't take that. So 6 months to push her to live if she still feels the same he'll "kill her" the more he helps the more they get close. She shows him also the life on a farm. There friendship turns into a romance he won't let no one disrespect her when the ex comes back and is sparky with his new wife.

I wanted Brantley to off the ex but I loved that he showed Mia more to life and him wanting to live then be Death. So that was super good.

Low angst, no cheating, Ow/om drama (ex and his new wife), slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, Virgin H/no virgin h

This book.

I'm not much for trigger warnings, but some people will go into this book blind. I've read reviews where people have complained. So, trigger warning: suicidal tendencies, abuse, infant loss. Those would be the two main ones.

Mia has been through a lot in two years, well since she started dating and married her crappy ex-husband, Darrin.
Tragedy strikes, divorce is filed and final, her parents and baby have passed away.
Mia has nothing to live for. So she does the only thing she thinks will help, death.
She tries, but fails. But she learns someone can help her.
Enter Death. (Brentley).
Death is cold, calculating. But for some reason, he wants Mia to live.
He makes a new plan. Six months. If at the end of six months, Mia still wants to die, he will help her.
So, he starts to make Mia fall in love with life day after day. She's stubborn, she's fierce. But he shows her that she's strong and she can make it. That loss in life and pain are normal, and sometimes you have to push through it to come out on the other side.

This book is raw, emotional, and real.
I recommend tissues or going in with a hardened heart, because this will shred it.
Every book I have read from Linda has been raw and emotional. The way her words flow, phew. You get sucked in, and in two hours you don't even realize you're almost finished with the book. I don't give out five stars easily. I think I have written a couple of reviews and they've been five stares, but this one DESERVES it.
Yes, it's not for everyone. That is fine. But give this book a try. Brentley and Mia's story is beautiful and pure. Filled with heartbreak, pain, and finding love through it all.

Such a sweet story. The writing wasn't the greatest and some scenes felt so stupid. But overall, it was cute. 💟
Pls check TWS before reading: Depression, suicide, Euthanasia (technically), death.

I also liked how even though Mia (h) was depressed and wanted to die, she didn't ONLY live cause of the guy. (Not like in this recent pathetic book I've read, which was that annoying popular book, Nine days by Joelina Falk, god knows why its overhyped 🙄) Instead he showed her life is worth living and through this, they fell in love and helped eachother heal. 💗

I absolutely loved Death and Daffodil’s story ❤️❤️❤️ (Brentley and Mia) such an unusual reason for meeting but they saved each other and fell in love. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overall: I really grew to love the main characters. This is a new author to me at least. Is it a book I will read over and over probably not, but did I have a great time in this small town farming area with our characters hell yes! I would consider this read a romantic spicy as it wasn’t super graphic to me. A few moments of dominance but tender moments overall. If you like small town romance with some intrigue and tragic pasts then this is for you.

Thoughts:
Without spoiling it in the beginning I was a little put off to walk into their world with the lead female in such emotional and mental anguish that she attempts to take her life. Not to mention the leading man…I wasn’t sure if he may have been a psychopath. The way the author set it up I was intrigued and in the end I really did love these two for each other. The book was a smooth read other than some minor typos. Pace was great where we weren’t left waiting and waiting on our characters. Through both pasts they found a way to make it work.

Beautiful

This story is so beautiful.

Mia is pregnant. She’s a nurse and is very tired after her shift. She calls her husband to come pick her up but he says he can’t. She drives home and falls asleep at the wheel, killing a family of three and her unborn daughter.

She takes the maximum jail time for involuntary vehicular manslaughter and spends a year in prison. After she gets out she goes back to her home town, her childhood home where she finds out a secret of her parents.
This is where she meets Death. He comes to her house to help her die but when he meets her. He can’t kill her.

They end up bringing each other back from that edge of death.

I don’t know what I was expecting when I started reading this book but it surpassed everything. So beautifully written, the emotions were so real and natural. I loved it.

so good

This book needs to take over booktok! I stayed up way too late to read it from start to finish. One of my favorites I’ve read. I loved the story I loved the beginning and how much Mia struggled. I didn’t “love” it but I loved how the author wrote it. It really ripped at my heart. I definitely have related to how Mia felt at the beginning of feeling like there’s no reason to live and everyday is a struggle and begging God to not wake up the next morning. Reading her healing journey was absolutely beautiful. And Brenton was just absolute perfection.

This book wrecks you and then puts you back together

Saw the book on #Booktok a few times and one morning when I was in all the feels it came across my FYP again so I downloaded it. It was perfect. The book wrecks you early. I'm talking bleary eyes and sobbing. But slowly puts you back together again. We all know a Mia, even if we don't realize it and her journey speaks to your soul. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Please note this book talks about suicide and has traumatic moments throughout.

Omg so good

A book about a girl who is a nurse who is over worked and asks her husband to puck her up but the ass doesn't have time for her and she crashes killing a family and her unborn child. She does 2 years in prison and learns she lost her parents and her husband divorced her and didn't even do it in person. The ass. So she wants to die and finds someone to help. But instead this person gives her every reason to live showing her that u can still move on even if u lost the one thing u could never live without. So good.

Starting Over from loss and trauma

Death and Daffodil meet under an extraordinary situation. Daffodil thinks her world is over and ends up finding a secret hidden in a can. She never thought Death would make her want to live, but that is exactly what she needed. This was such a heartbreaking and heartwarming story about two lost souls that dealt with loss and pain that found their way back to each other.

once I got past the kind of awkward and fast paced writing style in the beginning, i absolutely loved it! brentley and mia were perfect for each other and allowed each other to grow in such a beautiful way. this was a tear jerker, so come prepared!

also, if you’re not into spicy scenes, you would be able to skip/skim those parts in here and not miss much of the plot at all, except for just some extra tender moments during/after :)

happy tears

I went into this knowing it was going to hurt me but I didn’t realize how well it would put me back together . This was seriously such a beautifully written book . It showed just how hard we can all fall and how hard it might be to pull back and see the good that is possible . Ugh I loved every bit of this even the hard parts . 10/10 would read over and over so beautiful

DNF.

I did not enjoy the little I read of this book. It was unrealistic and just too much going on. First of all, in what world does maximum sentence for vehicular homocide of three people equal 1 year in prison? Even if it is negligent and not intentional? And she gets to keep her drivers licence? Nope. Couldn’t continue!

The typos not going to even lie bothered me quiet a bit and I had to reread certain sections to understand what was happening.

However the story and just all the touching aspects and her struggle was very real and tugged at the heart strings. I really did love this book but definitely needs to be redited.

There is always light in the dark

A storyline for the troubled. Reading this book has shown me that even in stories, the dark can be conquered by light as long as you don't hold back. Don't let sadness conquer you by keeping you down. You gotta fight your way out and look for the light that is there if you truly wanna find it.

This was such a unique storyline. It took me a bit to get used to Bentley’s personality, but he grew on me. Seeing his love for Mia and him beginning to experience life with her was refreshing. I thought the blackmail situation was dumb, especially that Mia went along. Though the outcome was good. There were some boring parts to this book and some major grammatical issues.

I went in blind thinking by the title and the cover it was going to be a sweet small town romance to give me a break from the dark romance world i usually stay in..I should've known better with L.M. Terry. I have loved every single book I've picked up by her but this one exceeded all my expectations.

Amazing story

It a great story. Words can’t explain how truly well written this book is. Lots of different emotions but most of all true love is of a man and especially of friends. No matter what you go thru true people who love you don’t abandon you. They help you get back up.

This book was just wow… I have once also attempted suicide myself, and just like Mia I am glad I didn’t. This story was beautifully written. I wish I was in the book to kick Darrins ass… But this story was beautiful and made my heart so happy.

This book is heartbreakingly beautiful. You will get the beauty, but you will feel everything to get there. You will break but this author will put you back together piece by piece, just like Mia and Death. Stunning.

This book book hurt me a little. It tugged at my heart strings. It had a good level of spice but it had a whole darn dimension of heart, faith, trust, you name it. Honestly, this book will probably be one of the few I'd re-read again in the future. It was just a wild and emotional ride for me.
