As the host of a television show that investigates supernatural occurrences in Ireland, I’m no stranger to things that go bump in the night. But when I have to spend a week in a two-hundred-year-old country manor with only cameras for company, I’m hesitant to take the job. A little pressure from the network higher-ups has me packing my bags and moving in—only I’m not alone. Ginny, a descendant of the original owner, is there to keep me company. One look at her and I’m instantly smitten. Beautiful and knowledgeable, she peppers my days with historical facts and my nights with spice. By the end of the week, I’m convinced we’re destined to be together. But Ginny has secrets of her own—secrets that could end it all when we’ve only just begun.
This is a sweet and steamy standalone holiday novella.
Jacob Chance grew up in New England and still lives there today. He’s a martial artist, a football fan, a practical joker, and junk food lover. A USA Today bestselling author of sports romance and romantic suspense, Jacob plans on writing many more stories.
She’s My Boo is a stand alone, Halloween/Samhain novella by Jacob Chance. This little story packs quite a punch. And, there is a shockingly surprising appearance from my favorite hero of all time.
Keegan is thirty three years old and lives in Ireland. He started out as a paranormal investigator but for the past three years, he has hosted a popular television program called Hauntings and Hops. Through everything he has experienced, he believes in spirits, or ghosts. It’s close to Halloween and he gets a strange request to spend a week at a manor on the ocean by himself. He hopes that it will be worth his while and he can get plenty of footage for future programs. But Keegan is in for quite a surprise. He doesn’t realize this week is going to change his life.
When Keegan arrives at the manor, he realizes he won’t be alone after all. There is a beautiful woman staying there as well, Ginny. In all of Keegan’s life, he’s never fallen for anyone. Relationships just never interested him. But something about this woman pulled at him. He fell fast and hard. They both did. He wants her to be his.
“Our kiss had sealed our future, had sealed our fate.”
I’m going to stop there. This is truly a love story. I have to be honest, I’m feeling pretty emotional right now! This is a quick read but a full story none-the-less! It’s a cold rainy day today where I live and this was the perfect companion.
What a cute, sexy, and perfect novella to read around Halloween time. I was thinking this would be a funny romcom, but was pleasantly surprised that it was full of emotion and heart.
The connection between Keegan and Ginny was strong and their time together was adorable and sweet…and feckin’ hot.
If you’re looking for a quick read with Halloween vibes, a story with lovable characters and plenty of feels, I highly recommend this one.

Wasn't sure what to expect reading this short story but it definitely packed a punch. It's mysterious, sweet, surprising and sad. Ginny and Keegan were just perfect. You could feel the pull between them, if this book was full length I know I'd be "all up in my feels."
The kind of story Jacob wrote, I absolutely love and don't come across very often. Loved that he incorporated some knowledge about Saimhain into the story, which made it more intriguing. The ending made me a firm believer that Love can transcend time 💖💖
Surprise release from Jacob! What a great surprise just in time for Halloween but really a great read anytime. I loved Keegan and Ginny’s story, it was both unique and heartfelt and left me wanting more!
Wow! I really enjoyed this book. Very well written. The storied flowed and you were immersed in their story. Feelings were poignant and felt very real. The ending was different than I was expecting but it was incredible. It almost made me tear up, which is usually extremely difficult with a book. Movie, I cry like a baby. LOL. I highly recommend this book.
I just loved this holiday novella! It was a fun and very interesting read! I don't want to give anything away, but fans of Jacob Chance will really enjoy this sweat/steamy read.
This novella was a great read over this holiday weekend. I enjoyed discovering ways they do things differently in Ireland during this time too. It was awesome getting a glimpse at Belfast and Georgia’s life now as well. I loved the story of Ginny and Keegan though. A well known saying went through my mind in this book “ It’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all” but was love lost? You will have to read this sweet story to find out!
This book was completely different from anything I have read before. We get to read about Keegan, the cousin to Belfast. In this story he meets Ginny during his paranormal investigation. We get a little history in some Samhain traditions too. I will give Jacob this though....he made me tear up....
I always get excited to read a new Jacob Chance story, and this one is no exception. This is a sweet and steamy story of two people in extreme circumstances.
Keegan and Ginny’s love story isn’t conventional but they make it work for them and it’s beautiful.
Jacob has done what he does best and has given us a story that is full of heart and the perfect amount of heat. Don’t miss out on this one!
An awesome surprise release that did not disappoint! She’s My Boo is a quick read, completely unpredictable, and chock-full of so many surprises! One click and get into the Halloween ‘spirit’.
This was such an amazing story!! So different then what I normally read and Jacob Chance completely blew me away. I read this in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down. I needed to find out how Keegan and Ginny’s story ends. So beautiful ❤️❤️
A wonderful little read. Something a bit different from Jacob, and he nails it beautifully. An unconvenientall supernatural love story She's My Boo is a perfect love Keegan and Ginny.
This was such a fun, heartfelt read. I adored everything about Keegan and Ginny. This isn't a genre I ever read, but it was a beautiful story that was filled with laughs, knowledge and heartfelt moments. I love that Jacob always has past characters appear in his books.
It's definitely the right time of year for this book, but it would have been enjoyable anytime of year!!
What a great surprise story! I loved it from beginning to end. Jacob is one of my favorite authors because his writing can bring out every emotion you have. From laughing out loud to pulling at your heartstrings he can literally bring it all! That's what this story was full of...everything. Suspense, sexiness, fun and heartfelt emotion. I loved it so much.
Set around Samhain (Halloween) in Ireland, this was a quick read with an atypical HEA. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.
Keegan is a 33-year-old who spends most of his time focusing on his career as the host of a supernatural TV show called Hauntings and Hops. I liked his openness to all things spiritual and his recognition of how his childhood shaped him. Readers learn quickly that Ginny is a ghost. Not that it stops these two from falling in love. Through the magic of the season, she has her body and all of the feelings that go with it.
This was steamy and fun to read. I wasn't sure how the author would get a HEA, but he did it. There is emotional angst and heartbreak along the way to an interesting happy ending. I wanted more. I wanted to know more about Ginny's past. I wanted more of the couple on the way to their HEA. I will be thinking about this for a while.
I don’t normally do novellas but this was amazing and the perfect short read for the Halloween season!! I absolutely loved this and want more!!!
Keegan has a supernatural TV show where he searches for paranormal activity. He’s offered a gig in Ireland but the catch is he has to stay two weeks in a two hundred year old house! He’s not goona lie that doesn’t sound even remotely inviting! Keegan thought he wouldn’t have any company but then he meets Ginny. Keegan is smitten by her! But Ginny is hiding a big secret? What could it be?
I absolutely loved Ginny & Keegan! I loved every aspect of the book! I loved the supernatural element that made this the perfect read for the season! I loved the chemistry and the steam we got! I loved that ending that left me wanting more and more!!
I highly recommend picking this up this Halloween season!
I really enjoyed this one-sitting novella. Totally unexpected from what I'm used to reading from Jacob, which just shows you he can write anything. I am a passionate Outlander fan so when the word Samhain came up I was all in. I was not disappointed. Ginny and Keegan's story is romantic and steamy and full of intrigue. This pair had chemistry. The perfect couple. I was invested in their story from the opening chapter until the last paragraph. Both thumbs UP!
I'm a huge fan of this author, and I finally got a chance to read "She's My Boo". I'm not exaggerating when I tell you this was an amazingly well written! Beyond anything I could imagine. This book was outside what the writer normally writes and took me out of my cozy comfort zone, and he blew me away. "She's My Boo", has it all: comedy, romance, wonderful characters and a few surprises.
A different kind of romance but a cute and sweet read, just in time for Halloween (or Samhain). Yes, it’s technically a paranormal story but there are no scares and it’s got a sweet ending. Very quick read too. It’s the brother of the Belfast in Edge of Honor, and Belfast and Georgia appear several times in the story.
That’s why I do these RIGHT AFTER reading the book 🤦🏼♀️ I forget 😂 From what I remember, H: Keegan h: Ginny 🦸♀️ 🦸♂️ He’s a host of a paranormal show, from there my memory is foggy 🌫 Enjoyed it though 🙌🏼
