Cadyn James debut novel is a thrilling and riveting read that you won't be able to put down. Zale (Zay-lee as its pronounced) is our FMC, she’s strong willed, witty and fierce. We meet her as she’s preparing for her first day in her new job.
Isak is our hunky male lead who's extremely domineering, very possessive and extremely protective
I adore the ladies Margo, Mak and Alivia, our FMCs friends.
This book is raw and you feel everything Zale and Isak feel. Their emotions are written so well.
This is full of steamy scenes and i suggest you read the trigger warnings as it is quite dark.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this one. The characters were strong and I developed an intense like for the female friends in it. This book was hot, gripping and kept me wanting more. I don't normally read steamy romance alot, but I couldn’t stop myself from reading this. It has me hooked on them now, and I am looking forward to the next one.

I can't believe this is the author's first book because it is well written and follows a methodically detailed story that you get from someone as a seasoned writer. This book blew me away with how Intense it could be from the stalker angle to the intensity that Zale(Zay-Lee) and Isak have from the start.
Zale's character is independently secure with herself and being alone wasn't a detriment in life. She never needed a man but when she crosses paths with Isak that all changes. She becomes someone almost completely different with how possessive she is with him and same with him. Isak is known to be a manwhore of sorts he doesn't do relationships but something changes with Zale. These two have a unique start and it's fast paced instant attraction with a ton of emotions thrown in the mix.
I absolutely loved this book because you have so many things going on all at once and you're trying to figure out who is the stalker and did you meet him already but your not sure as the story progresses. This book has dark and kinky themes mixed into the storyline that show the nature of Isak's background and how Zale might be more like him than he first thought. Yes this has dom/sub relationship but it's more like you're introduced to how it will work between these two characters and you follow along as they test out the waters perse.
This author did a phenomenal job weaving this entire world together with so many moving parts. You never seem to have a dull moment in this book. I can't wait to see what will happen in the next book though. I feel like I'm totally invested in this characters both main and side ones. This story is gripping and suspenseful throughout and has a great mix of spicy/steamy moments to give you that dark romance feel. I voluntarily signed up for an ARC to give my honest opinion/review with nothing to gain from it. I can hands down say this was an amazing read by a debut author and I'm so excited to see what the future brings. This is a long book but written so well that you become immersed into the story that you won't mind because once you hit that epic cliffhanger, you will be yelling "no no it can't end there yet!!!" This is definitely an author I will be following.

I received this ARC for my honest review.
What a debut! I was seriously impressed with this introduction to a new author and series. I am not a huge fan of insta-love sort of stories, but this one had me hooked from the start.
Isak and Zale (Zay-lee) meet and very, very quickly become entrenched in each others’ lives. Their connection was rushed due to a stalker Zale has been hiding from for years, after a brutal attack. When Isak makes an innocent inquiry, Zale’s stalker is able to track her down and starts threatening her and her loved ones, yet again. Isak takes it upon himself to protect Zale and her friends from the psycho that has already taken so much from Zale.
I LOVE Zale’s character. I could relate to her spitefulness so much.
Isak’s character is little brute, but damn he is sexy as hell. He has quite a dirty mouth!
Mak might be my favorite. Her friendship with Zale is so beautiful and hilarious.
I liked the Dom/Sub components of this story as well. I appreciated the inclusion of Subspace and Subdrop. While there are MANY BDSM books that include Dom/Sub dynamics, this is one of the first I have read that is so descriptive of the effects of being a Sub.
I can also appreciate how chuckle-worthy many of the conversations between Isak and Zale are. Oh and whenever Mak is included as well.
I am really looking forward to the next installment in this trilogy. It did end on a cliffy, which I don’t love, but I have yet to find a cliffy I love anyway. I am just impatient. But I can say it hooked me, and even after digesting this read for several days, I remain hooked.

For a first time author I just got to say wow. This novel really knocked me off my feet with how throughly written and uniquely researched it was. The fast paced book starts off with a woman who has gotten herself together after a very traumatic experience, she is starting her first day at her dream job. She just needs to get over one little hurdle..... the elevators.... once she clears those she finds she's caught the attention of the buildings owner. He's the boss in every sense of the word, and he's going to make himself known to the little minx he has set his eyes on. Luckily his sister has already had the leg up in befriending her.
Things get rocky when Zale saves her boss's sister and he tries to figure out who she is by looking her up. Suddenly there are security guards, fib agents, and a whole team of characters getting up and personal in her space causing her trauma to re surface along with a stalker whom she has been secretly dodging for years. Now she is going to learn just how much of a BOSS her boss really is, he is going to show her how much he can take care of her and just how much he can make her feel safe again from her traumatic past.
Things get rocky when Zale saves her boss's sister and he tries to figure out who she is by looking her up. Suddenly there are security guards, fib agents, and a whole team of characters getting up and personal in her space causing her trauma to re surface along with a stalker whom she has been secretly dodging for years. This book is hot, hot, hot. This is Cadyn James debut album and she hit it out of the park. This book is dark and I suggest you read the triggers as it may not be for everyone.
This book tells the story of Zale who has suffered unimaginable loss and has also dealt with a stalker for years. The book starts with the first day at her new dream job. Her new boss takes one look at her and it is love at first sight. Then as the story unfolds he realizes how much he must do to keep her safe.
This book is full of steam and lots of lust. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the rest in the trilogy. It does end on a cliffhanger so be aware. I will be anxiously awaiting the next books in the trilogy.

Holy Moly… this book has everything. A hot, strong, smart, determined, damaged FMC. A HOT, dominant, possessive guy. A sassy, smartass, dedicated, loving best friend. A stalker, a touch of BDSM, instalust, major possessiveness… Seriously, this book is tough to put down because Zale and Isak are so damn captivating and so much happens in such a short time.
Be warned of a cliffy… and I’m sooo ready for the next book.

I can’t believe that this is Cadyn James first book!! You can just feel the pull between Zale and Isak. So many jaw dropping moments, and twist and turns you didn’t see coming! And that cliffhanger!! I’m ready for the next two books! I can’t wait! Thank you Cadyn James for such an amazing read!!!

I was sucked in from the get go with Jagged Salvation. Jagged is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Zale and Isak! So many ups and downs and twists and turns you can’t put it down!
The push and pull for alpha and dominance is captivating between Zale and Isak. You are MINE and I Am YOURS! Throw Zale’s stalker in the midst of that and EXPLOSIVE!
That cliffhanger at the end though! So darn good!

Loved this book it was fabulous, Isak is a Dom and owner of a large corporation. Zale is a new employee working in the building that Isak works in. Zale has is deathly afraid of elevators and ends up taking Isak's private one. When the 2 meet sparks and sassiness explode. Isak is protective of Zale which is good because Zale has a stocker after her. See what happens when fire meets ice.

This is the debut of Ms. James, and I must say she did not disappoint. Before I go any further, my word of advice PLEASE, please, please read the trigger warnings prior to diving into this book. There are intense parts, and there are areas that could be concerning for some readers. I, myself, had to step away from a couple scenes because depending on how they are written can be triggering; but that also shows that they were written well because I needed to step away.
Zale and Isak are so incredibly written and when they feel an emotion, you are feeling them right along with them. Each character has their flaws, and for some they are aware and others they don't seem too. These two characters you can see, even within the first novel, these two characters had some growth.
If you are looking for strong, independent women within your novel Ms. James has given you that. Not only is Zale a strong character so is the many other side female characters. Looking for a man who is bossy, possessive and jealous, BUT also sees his woman for what she is and willing to hand her a match and watch HER burn the world down then you get that with Isak. The only downfall is that sometimes their possessive manners can be like waving a red flag (for both Zale and Isak) that it can be a little over the top and repetitive - this is my only real 'complaint'.
One of the many things I enjoyed about this novel is that there is no hush-hush mentality when it comes to mental health. This gets talked about right up front; and I absolutely love that! It is also enjoyable to see a female (Zale) not allow for the double standards that can sometimes come within a D/S type relationship. If it's good for Isak, it's just as good for her. Even better, Isak for the most part supports that - and when he doesn't Zale has no problem confronting him on it.
There is a stalker on the loose, and traumatic pasts on both sides leading to a very explosive, intriguing and psychological trip. It isn't just the characters that suck you in; but also, the plot that leaves you guessing and never truly knowing what's going on. Dull moments will not be had with this book. The world building and all it's moving parts within are done seamlessly that I still have a hard time believing this is Ms. James debut novel.
Gripping and suspenseful, yet, still filled to the brim with the right balance of steamy sexual scenes - both to drive the sexual tension, but also full-steam ahead to relieve it. This novel is definitely a 4.5 chili-pepper on a 5 chili-pepper scale. They are weaved throughout the story with enough steamy scenes that stay true to a dark romance tone without being overdone. They were, however, done so well where a few had me fanning myself.
100 percent recommend this novel to anyone wanting to read a dark romance - be warned though that it will keep you on the edge of your seat and definitely ends with a WHAT!? cliffhanger. Please, please, PLEASE check your trigger warnings with this novel prior to reading, I can not stress this enough - it is a dark romance, but your mental health is also important. If you don't have any dive into the phenomenal world and meet the amazing characters Ms. James are provided for us!

What an incredible read this book was.
Cadyn literally sucked you right in and gets you so immersed in what's going on!!
I mean Zale is the ultimate FMC for me, she is smart, sexy, and confident but is damaged at the same time. Everything going on with her is heartbreaking. Meet Isak hotter than hot, possessive Alpha male giving you a fiery combination.
Their story is just perfect, a whirlwind romance - throw in a stalker and a serious case of do not touch my man/woman gives you this epic read!
I cannot wait to see what happens next and find out what the hell happened with that cliffhanger!!

🔥🔥🔥 I would 100% recommend this book to anyone! Cadyn has done it! I could not put this book down! Our FMC is equally badass as she is damaged, you definitely don’t want to mess with the people she cares most about. And ISAK! Everyone needs a little Isak in their life. Dominating, sexy, protective. This book was amazing I cannot wait for the next one to find out what happens!

I was hooked from the beginning of Isak and Zane’s story! I love how fierce Zale is as a FMC, despite what has happened to her. I don’t want to use any spoilers because this is a roller coaster of a ride!The side characters are just as entertaining. Everyone needs a Margo and Mak as besties in their life! Absolutely amazing first release by Cadyn James! Can’t recommend it enough!!

It started so so good, but then it became very unrealistic... only after a day they already had sex something like five times and on the second day she moved in with him and he is already imagining about having her barefoot and pregnant, I mean come on...

a cliffhanger but…
What an intriguing read! We have an alpha, possessive, dominant arse, and even better a self assured smart, strong and capable spitfire. Together there is heat and passion and a great deal of head butting! It ends at in a cliffhanger but the seeds planted deep for what is to come !

On her first day at work she makes friends with the big boss' sister, he owns the building. She also breaks a rib fighting the ex of this sister. Right after that she lets the hero finger her in his private elevator, with a broken rib. On her first day at this new job. Just not my cup of tea.
