This book has it all!

Another good instalment. What am I saying? I mean great! What a clever case, and what a wonderful book! Mitzy is on another case, well, two actually, and I loved it! The banter between Mitzy and Ghost-ma is so funny and at times heartwarming. An underlying theme of Mitzy’s trust-issues make this a multi-layered story, with lots of humor, but also all the feels.

Silvertale crafts such beautiful sentences full of sarcasm and a wicked sense of humor. It makes this story come alive with fun and mystery. It ensures a great flow with never a dull moment. Many giggle-moments though! I smiled my way through this book, with the occasional aww-moment and of course, at times, on the edge of my seat! I bow to the master.

In this book Mitzy is asked to help out the sheriff by solving a mystery that doesn’t involve a dead body. This was a nice twist. When the baby is stolen from a local church’s nativity scene, Erick gives it to Mitzy. It’s safe, keeps her occupied and frees up the sheriff’s office to solve other crimes. A win for all, right?
Then comes the death of a relative of a friend. On the surface, it looks like a regular, perhaps weather related, death. However there are little things off that only someone close to the deceased would know. When newspaper photographer, Quince, calls Mitzy is on it. You didn’t think she would leave a friend on their own, did you?
I really enjoyed this book. It was as interesting to have the non-body mystery as it was to have the death related one. I think we mystery readers can forget that mystery doesn’t always involve murder. I found that a nice reminder because most cozy mysteries are set in small towns. How many murders can be expected in a small town? Apparently many, but I do find myself wondering, sometimes, if there were as many murders in that location before the sleuth moved there. So having a non-murder mystery was fun. I also really enjoy getting to know more about the secondary characters. When you read a series there are always characters who show up often. I think it enhances the series to give them bigger roles in some books. I find myself very intrigued by some characters, (Deputy Paulson being one, just saying. I mean, there has to be more to her and her gruff nature.). I also enjoy reading about developing relationships that aren’t love interests of the main characters. Speaking of love interest, Mitzy and Erick are another draw for me. I like that the conflict with them isn’t easily solved and the work that goes into a good relationship is a part of the story. Every cozy mystery that involves the sleuth with a law enforcement officer, (let’s admit that a great deal of them do), is doing the law enforcement doesn’t like the sleuth involved from fear of them getting hurt. It usually ends up with the usual arguments between them that moves along each book with it being winked at when the crime is solved and the sleuth safe. Fun but also a bit boring. I mean, no surprise there. So seeing Mitzy and Erick going through conflict that is related to trust and her magic is interesting to me. A final thought on the relationships in this series, I adore how the author is bringing in Odell and Ghost-ma with a second chance romance. The physical part of relationships, in books, can make it seem like that should be the focus in real relationships. We are bombarded with it, (and it is important - it’s just not everything). I’m really looking forward to where the author is going with a relationship where the focus isn’t on going to bed. I feel like there is a real opportunity for something unique in the cozy mystery genre, (really even in the romance one where even Twilight gave in to the physical part). It’s something to look forward too.
As usual, I am not going to discuss the mysteries. I’m always afraid of giving out information that would ruin the fun of another reader. I enjoyed them. I think the author did well with two mysteries in one book.

Information for those who don’t know this series.
There is a magical theme in this series. It is a major part and is done very well. If you are Wiccan, I think you will enjoy the work the author puts into this series. I have recommended it to Wiccan friends because it is, in my opinion, accurate and respectful.
The mystery presented in each book is solved in each book. However, I would describe this as a character driven series. The main character has a very interesting story and, especially in the early books, goes through a lot of growth. The secondary characters are all very interesting. In the books you learn more about various ones as they play bigger roles in some books. This makes the series best read in order. I would definitely recommend reading the previous books. If you are using an ereader, the author has boxsets available. They are a good way to catch up quickly.

Mitzy Moon is always happy to assist her boyfriend, Sheriff Erick Harper with a case, but this is an unusual one. The baby Jesus is missing from a local church’s manger scene and Erick needs Mitzy’s help to locate it. Her “ghost-ma”, the deceased spirit of her grandmother who lives in the bookstore Mitzy inherited from her, also wants Mitzy to locate a coat that is missing from her closet full of clothes. Mitzy agrees to both, but the case that captures most of her attention is the murder of a friend’s uncle that is being made to look like either an accident or a suicide. Mitzy won’t let anything get in the way of getting to the truth of this case.

Mitzy has her hands full in this book with three different cases, but her focus and the majority of the book is about the murder case. I enjoyed getting to know Mitzy’s friend Quince as well as the developments in Mitzy’s personal life. Hopefully she will learn to put her childhood traumas in the past and learn to trust how much Erick loves her. The case itself is interesting with many clues and a few red herrings to keep things interesting. Mitzy has to use both her psychic abilities and good old fashioned investigative skills to help solve the case. I like that even though Mitzy makes many important contributions to the investigation, Erick is no fool and uses his own experience and skills to do his part in solving the case.

If you love cozies, even if you don’t read a lot of paranormal cozies, you will love the characters and the humor in this book and the series. I really liked Dangers and Empty Mangers and am already looking forward to the next book!

A copy of this book was provided to me by the author at no cost, but my review is voluntary and unbiased.

The impossible is truly possible! I didn't think the series could get any better and this book just jumped right up and proved me wrong! Awesome book and the narration is outstanding as always!!! It is obvious that the author is a fan of Gilmore Girls and The Good Witch as elements of both are woven into the fabric of these stories. If you like snark, quick wit, a bit of magic and a good mystery then this is the perfect series for you to read, although I must confess that I always hold out for the audiobook as the narration really brings the characters to life and makes the books even more fun to listen to rather than read!

This was another good mystery in the series. In this one Mitzy is on the hunt to find out who stole baby Jesus. A body ends up turning up and now she is on the hunt for the killer. Of course in the end she solves it and all is well for now.

It has been a while since I have read a paranormal cozy mystery and boy have I been missing out !! Dangers and Empty Mangers is the seventeenth book in the Mitzy Moon Mystery series by Trixie Silvertale and even though it is the first one in this series that I have read, I was not lost at all and I caught on to everything going on immediately and I was sad when it ended.

In Dangers and Empty Mangers main character Mitzy Moon is asked to look into the disappearance of the Baby Jesus from a church's nativity scene. And considering the person asking is her boyfriend, Sheriff Erick Harper she feels she has to say yes. While Mitzy is looking into the disappearance for the church a friend of her's, Quince Knudsen calls asking to talk to her. Unfortunately Quince's uncle just died and the police are ruling it an accident. However when Mitzy and Quince go to the scene which is a fishing house on the lake, they find evidence leaning towards murder. They are able to convince the sheriff to look into the death and he soon changes his mind also.

Luckily Mitzy has "special" powers that few people know about. She inherited her grandmother's bookstore, Bell, Book & Candle, and her ghostly grandmother whose ghostlike body is still there at the shop and can communicate with Mitzy. Mitzy also has some psychic powers and a moodring that provides clues at times. And she has a unique cat for a pet. Luckily she has confided in some people, her boyfriend being one of them, that she sees and talks to her grandmother regularly. Mitzy's grandfather also lives in the same town, Pin Cherry Harbor and owns and runs Myrtle's Diner and seems to also have psychic abilities in that you never have to put in an order for food. Odell knows exactly what you want to eat without you telling him and he always gets it right !!

Mitzy seems to have a great town that she lives in, a great job and apartment, her boyfriend is awesome but she has a hard time navigating her powers sometimes. ( You would think that by now in the series that she would have all that figured out but that wouldn't be as much fun, would it ? ) And even though the Sheriff knows some of her abilities, she still has to keep some things secretive ..... for her own sake.

I don't think I have to tell readers that they will fall in love with this series and everything Silvertale puts into each book but I will nonetheless..... I have only read this one book out of the seventeen that are in this series and just reading Dangers and Empty Mangers, I am hooked !! I wish I had the time to go back are read the previous sixteen but unfortunately I don't possess that time... so I will go with the hopes that any more in this series I am able to read and will love hanging out with Mitzy and seeing what happens next in her crazy life.

Mitzy has two mysteries to solve this time around. The first involves the theft of the baby Jesus from the nativity scene at the local church and the other is the death of a man who supposedly died at the ice house fishing. Upon further investigation it turns out he was murdered so she is bound and determined to solve the case or rather assist in solving the case with her boyfriend, the sheriff! It’s hampered by a slip and fall accident that affects her in her investigation.

Fans of Mitzy Moon will love this latest adventure of our favorite heroine and the critical clue which Pyewacket supplies to point the finger of blame on the guilty party!

This series is top notch entertainment as you’ll find laughs and yes tears as well in this episode! Pin Cherry seems to be the ideal town one would want to live in. It reminds me of how things were in the 1950’s and ‘60’s before technology exploded on us all changing our lives forever. Murders still happen but the guilty are brought to justice just the same. It’s just a more laid back life that is very appealing to me and I dare say many others judging by the popularity of this wonderful series!

I heartily recommend this book and this series as ones you will truly enjoy! Mitzy starts out just barely eking out a living when her life is forever changed by a knock on the door. The adventures she has after leaving Arizona for almost Canada will keep your attention as you turn the pages faster and faster to find out what happens next! Trixie’s descriptive writing makes you feel you are right there with Mitzy as she is involved in her many quests for answers! I
truly believe that after you read this book you’ll want to know how it all started and there are box sets available which will make it easier to read the stories. Just think, you can go from book one to book two with just the turn of the page!

Join Trixie’s many readers who just can’t wait to see what new adventure Mitzy will have next and what and how she’ll get out from under the predicaments she finds herself in!

One thing is for sure, you’ll tell yourself that it was time well spent and I think you’ll also tell your friends that they need to get on board with this series as well so they can enjoy the fun of being a sleuth and having extraordinary help from sources one normally wouldn’t have have as you search with Mitzy as to
whodunnit!

Another great installment in Mitzy Moon’s life. Mitzy is a great protagonist with her snark, graphic tees, and love for her family. The secondary chars are full of personality as well. The mystery is full of surprises.

I listened to the audiobook. The narrator is a master at bringing Mitzy and her gang to life. She captures each character’s voice and personality perfectly.

All thoughts and opinions are my own, and I have not been by anyone.

I enjoyed this book. I would say I missed Mitzy's undercover work in this book (which is always good for a laugh) but to be honest with so much going on I didn't. Misty had two cases to investigate, both of which got solved nicely. A simple plot that got very complicated, not in the understanding but as they couldn't even decide what was the actual cause of death and I wouldn't change a thing, very entertaining. This meant the story kept you hooked until the very end, trying to decide not only who the killer was but also the method. Once again the plot was backed up by wonderful characters, who are just a delight to read about. Where else is a ghost going to plan a surprise birthday party or a cat involved in providing clues but in Pin Cherry harbour. Mitzy has come a long way from the first book and continues entertain with her antics and unique investigation style. Long may it continue.
Some one has stolen the baby Jesus from the church nativity scene and it is one case Sheriff Harper is happy for his girlfriend Mitzy to investigate. However when a friend phones asking for help, Mitzy drops everything. His uncle died ice fishing and the police are calling it an accident. Mitzy, her mood ring and her cat think differently. Pinning down the method of death proves difficult but at least it means the sheriff is willing to keep investigating with Mitzy's help, until she damaged her ankle. Being left on the side lines isn't something she is use too. Can she still solve the murder and find the baby Jesus or will the pain meds have her limping around in circles?
I liked the narrator, who continues to entertain as Mitzy and her friends and I can't imagine anybody else doing a better job.
I was given this free review copy book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Mitzy Moon is called into action once again when Sheriff Too Hot To Handle asks for her help in discovering the whereabouts of a missing baby Jesus from a church Nativity scene. Dangers and Empty Mangers, {#17 in Trixie Silvertale's entertaining series}, starts off with this mystery, and the mystery of Ghost-ma 's missing designer coat. In the course of her investigations, Mitzy's friend has an uncle who died in suspicious circumstances. His death has been made to look like an accident. the clues are scattered and Mitzy and her Sheriff must stay on their toes in order to solve this one.

The characters have grown with the series, it is good to see Mitzy mature and the sweet romance between she and the sheriff is heartwarming. Ghost-ma is one of my favorites! Her quips and come backs are responsible for many 'laugh out loud' moments. I always look forward to spending time in Pin Cherry Harbor, Almost Canada catching up with my book friends and joining in with their adventures. Ms. Silvertale has crafted a wonderful, magical series!

I did enjoy this on ebook, but I loved it all over again on audiobook! Coleen Marlo has a range of voices that fit each of the characters perfectly. Her tone ranges perfectly for the mood of the scene, from humor to sorrow, excitement to seriousness--- that pulls me in and never interrupts the flow of the scene. Don't miss these books in audio form.

I requested and received an Advanced Readers Listen of this audiobook from Author's Direct to read and review. All opinions are my own. I am excited to share books I love with friends and followers.

This is book 17 in the series, and it is just as fresh, exciting, and fun as the earlier books in the series. That is because the awesome Trixie Silvertale knows what her readers like and she keeps providing it.

This series is just so much fun. I am always eager to read what the citizens of Pin Cherry Harbor are up to now. The strength of the Mitzy Moon series is its characters. They may be fictional, but each book leaves me feeling like I just had a visit with some of my favorite people.

In “Dangers and Empty Mangers,” Mitzy has two crimes to solve. First, someone has stolen the statue of the baby Jesus from the church’s nativity set. And second is the murder of the uncle of Quince, the local photojournalist. At first, it is assumed that he passed out from drinking and froze to death while ice fishing. But Mitzy finds evidence that the death may not have been accidental.

There is the usual fun bantering between Mitzy and Ghost-ma. Mitzy is her usual charmingly klutzy self. Pye, the caracal…he keeps providing his not-so-subtle clues to solving the crimes. And I love getting to know Odell, owner of the local diner, better in this book.

Mitzy is still struggling with her trust issues. For someone who grew up in the foster care system, learning to trust is very difficult. Will this be a hindrance in the sweet romance between Mitzy and Eric?

Fast-paced. A real page-turner. If you are looking for a sweet quick cozy mystery read, I HIGHLY recommend this series.

I did receive an Advance Reader Copy of this book. The opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.

A fun romp with Mitzy and her grandmother, referred to as Ghost-ma at times since she is a ghost. Mitzy's hot sheriff boyfriend, Erick has asked Mitzy and her cat Pyewacket to solve the case of the missing baby Jesus from the church manger display since he is inundated with work. She is happy to oblige. But as all thing never seem the same, while investigating the missing Jesus baby, she runs into the young, talented photojournalist, Quince, who asks her to help him find out who murdered his uncle. He said the sheriff's department is calling it an accident, but he knows his uncle and the clues do not add up to an accident. So now we have Mitzy involved in two cases and Sheriff Erick lets her investigate even though he doesn't want her to. All is not always what it seems and she gets a sprained ankle in the process making Ghost-ma and Erick trying to get her to stop and take care of herself. But, that is not Mitzy and she and Quince start unraveling the mystery. Is she getting too close? Will she be able to find Quince's uncles murderer and the baby Jesus? Will her pain meds get in the way of her special abilities? With so many twists and turns she plods on. With a lot of banter between Ghost-ma and Mitzy we glide through this book with lots of laughs as well. I love this series and it is a highly recommended for a great cozy mystery and lots of fun! I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Can Mitzy find Jesus?

Ok so someone stole baby Jesus from the churchs' nativity scene. Who would do such a despicable thing? Most thieves have a line they won't cross, this thief doesn't seem to have any such lines. Except for maybe the lines Mitzy always had running through the movie that is her life!
Whilst investigating the theft, local photographer and man of few word Quincy comes to Mitzy, he's due his uncle didn't die accidentally in his ice fishing hut, despite the evidence suggesting it was a tragic accident. Can Mitzy prove to her boyfriend Sheriff Harper that there's more to the cheese makers death than a few drams and a cold snap.
A ever Mitzy is an absolute dream to read. Trixie Silvertale has a whip smart sense of humour, I would read this series just for her t-shirt tag lines. Character development is amazing, you would think as many books in as we are there is nothing more to learn oh no my friend, we are still being drip fed. Everyone from ghost-ma to her new/old gramps, to her aging magical mentor every book we learn a little more and there is a little more to love about Mitzy, Pin Cherry Harbor and its almost Canadian residents. I have my suspicions where pour next adventure might be, but I'm not guessing out loud, because one thing is for certain about Trixie Silvertale 's writing, it's never what you think, she keeps you on your toes. And that for me is the hallmark of a good author.

In this 17th book of the Mitzy Moon series, you guessed it, there’s another body found as the story begins. But this time it’s not Mitzy who finds it. As expected, she does wind up involved in the investigation to find the killer (would there be a story here if she didn’t?) while at the same time trying to solve a seemingly unrelated crime by finding the missing statue of baby Jesus from the local church’s manger scene. Oh, and her ghost-ma needs her to locate a coat that had gone missing before Mitzy arrived in town. The coat has at least as much of a sentimental as real value to it and Grams is heartbroken by it’s loss and needs Mitzy to find it, though she won’t tell Mitzy why.

This was another fun-filled installment in the series. Despite being the 17th book, there are still plenty of new dangers, problems, and other adventures for these characters to discover, as well as plenty for them to still learn about and from each other. And of course there are still more than a few secrets to be discovered/resolved.

As with the others in this series that I have read, I enjoyed this book just as much as the others. Mitzy is a fascinating character who is far from perfect, but it is her faults that make her relatable. If you’ve enjoyed any of the other books in this series, whether in order or not, you should give this one a try as well. You will not be disappointed. This is also a good series for anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries with a paranormal twist.

highly entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series

This is a highly entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A fun cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Mitzi moon is a young woman who owns a rare bookstore that she inherited from her grandmother. She grew up from 11 until she was old enough to get out of the foster care system because her mother passed away and she had no other family. at that time her grandmother did not know about her and she started looking at some point but her grandmother passed away before she could find her. Her grandmother had a few abilities mystically speaking as well as a friend with abilities as well. They anchored her spirit to the bookstore so that when Mitzi inherited it she was able to meet her grandmother‘s ghost. Mitzi also has unique abilities. She has psychic abilities as well as other abilities and is learning some of the unique abilities of her mentor/lawyer as well. You have to read into the books to see what kind of abilities. There are great number unique characters and personalities in this series. She has a wild cat called a cow named Packett. That cat has more brains than some people do. Once again Mitzi is on the case of a mystery in fact she is on the case of three mysteries in this particular book. Read and see if Mitzi and her boyfriend share of Taylor And her cat and other cohorts can solve the mystery of the day. Check it out

Trixie promised she'd go on writing if we go on reading and I for one have not had enough of these delightful cozy mysteries. Furthermore I feel that the cases are getting more intriguing with every book. This case 17 starts of with Mitzy trying to find Jesus, but ends up trying to solve a very intricate murder case. One in which many are those suspected and with every suspect pointing fingers at the others. I love the way Mitzy is unrelenting in her pursuit for justice and even though she was injured in this tale she did not let her injury keep her back from pursuing the clues. As always, Pyewacket is a helpful aid to our intrepid amateur sleuth, and I always love his very cunning clues. Ghost-ma is her usual hoot and Silas as good a mentor as ever. I love that Mitzy, once an orphan without a family, has a growing family now and her latest addition, her grandfather is one of her favourite people ever. I just wish she would find her confidence and security in her new life in Pin Cherry Harbour which she calls home now, and leave her traumatic past behind her, so that she allows herself to take the long awaited step in the romantic direction with her hunk of a boyfriend, the one and only sheriff Erick Harper who I am sure is eager to take the next step in their relationship if only she allows this! Who knows maybe in case 18, one can only hope!

Mitzy Moon is at it again. Her sheriff boyfriend asks her to find the missing Jesus from a manger scene which she is happy to do, but she is also investigating a death that a friend asks her to look into. He thinks it’s murder, and she’s determined to help him find justice.

This is book 17 in the series, and I almost feel like a citizen of Pin Cherry Harbor. There are so many great characters here. Mitzy is hilarious as usual. Her clumsiness tickles me, maybe because I can relate to it so well. Her boyfriend, Erick, has to be the best boyfriend in the history of boyfriends. Mitzy’s inherited caracal, Pyewacket, is possibly my favorite character. He’s always giving important clues to Mitzy and seems to understand everything that is said.

Even though Mitzy’s supernatural powers are on the fritz because of pain meds for a sprained ankle, she’s able to solve both cases with the help of those around her…and an intervention by her grandma.

I love this series! Many series tend to get stale by the time they make it to book 17, but this one keeps getting better. Each book has a satisfying ending, but I’m always looking forward to finding out what Mitzy gets into next.

Another great book

In this story, we have what starts out to be something gentle that Sheriff Erick gives Mitzy to investigate. The case of the missing baby Jesus from the nativity scene at the local church.
It isn’t long before we have something more urgent that crops up when one of the locals is found dead. The case is not as clear cut as it first appears and as usual, our heroine, who finds herself injured, also sticks her nose into what she suspects to be a murder. Not one to follow instructions from the hospital or her partner, she puts herself in the way of danger. This time someone else gets hurt as a result of her actions.

Add to that, we have Ghost-ma who isn’t her usual self and she also has a mission for her granddaughter. Something very dear to her is missing and she hasn’t told Mitzy the full story.

Odell, Pyewacket and Silas also play their parts in trying to put all the pieces together. Another fabulous story, with touching moments along the way. I love the way there is always a little bit more to unfold, things left unsaid. Great read.

Mitzy Moon has really settled down in Pin Cherry with a wonderful family and a great boyfriend. She's also learning more about her psychic abilities. In this book, she has two mysteries to work on. The first is a missing baby Jesus from a local nativity scene and the second is the murder of a cheesemaker.

I received a copy of this book from Hidden Gems and this is my honest, unbiased review. I've really enjoyed this series and this book is a prime example of why. Not only does the author keep the series fresh, each book gets better than the one before. I always love returning to Pin Cherry and seeing what Mitzy is up to. This book was well-written with wonderful characters and relationships that are well-done. I was drawn into the engaging story and kept hooked from start to finish. The mystery will keep you on your toes and guessing. I'm very eager for the next book. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order for the most enjoyment and benefit.

Just when our heroine thinks she has a handle on things, another clumsy accident has her going in circles. But there is no time to rest as she has multiple mysteries to solve and she is hot on the trail. Well, hot might not be the right word...

This is book seventeen of the series, but it works just fine as a standalone. Jump in at any point.

This is a cozy mystery with a side order of magic (and cheese) thrown in. The story is well written and easy to read with a solid plot that has plenty of twists and turns to it. Our heroine is smart, capable and snarky, although a bit clumsy as well. With an excellent mystery and plenty of little bits of humor, this was a highly entertaining story. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Highly recommended

Still snarky as ever, Mitzy is on the track of the baby Jesus . . . And the miscreant who killed the cheesemaker!

Volume Seventeen in the Mitzy Moon Mysteries set in almost-Canada has the intrepid heiress tromping through the snow - without her trusty advisor!

As always, Silvertale has delivered an intriguing case filled with mayhem, mischief, and hilarity. And would we have it any other way??? I just love the way Mitzy and Ghost-ma interact and often feel bad that they never met before she passed. But they sure are making up for it, thanks to Silas' alchemy!

You'll love this one!!!

You’d think that injuring one’s ankle would slow a person down… no, not our Mitzie! On crutch (and sometimes without) she still keeps solving crimes and not just one, NO – Three!
A missing baby Jesus from it’s Manger, an important piece of couture belonging to Dear Ghostma and a Murder ! Pin Cherry Harbor is one adorable town with loads of lovable characters. Now that we know Odelle is Mitzie’s Grandpa he’s all the more adorable (as if his yummy food doesn’t sound delectable enough). And Quincy sounds like a promising young man as well. Glad Mitzie could help him! Despite three crimes this book simply ended too fast! Luckily the next one is already loaded and ready to go!
This series ought to come with an addiction warning 😉

Someone has stolen the baby Jesus from the Christmas Nativity in Pin Cherry. Sheriff Erick Harper, Mitzi’s boyfriend, busy with actual crimes, asks Mitzi’s help in finding the thief. First checking with the church secretary at the First Methodist Church, Mitzi comes away with more questions than answers. When a dead body is found the theft of the baby is put on the back burner as Mitzi with her extrasensory perception begins looking into the crime. I love, love, love this funny, mysterious, magical series and I hope the author never runs out of stories. This is my honest, voluntary review of an advanced reader copy of this book.

Trixie Silvertale has done it again with her 17th installment of Mitzy Moon and Co. and it is just as fresh, exciting, and fun as the earlier books in the series. That is because the awesome Trixie Silvertale knows what her readers like and she keeps providing it. I am always eager to read what the citizens of Pin Cherry Harbor are up to now. The strength of the Mitzy Moon series is its characters. They may be fictional, but each book leaves me feeling like I just had a visit with some of my favorite people. You can read as a standalone book, but you’ll want to read the whole series over and over again.

Dangers and Empty Mangers is pure Pin Cherry Harbor magic! I can't believe that this is the 17th installment of the Mitzy Moon series - the characters and stories are as fresh and exciting as they were in the first books.
Mitzy has two mysteries to solve - a murder and a missing baby Jesus from a nativity scene. The mysteries, Ghost-ma's obsession with a missing coat, and facing her trust issues keep Mitzy hopping. Fortunately, Mitzy doesn't have to go it alone. She has Erick, Ghost-ma, Pyewacket, Silas, and all of her family and friends ready to help her out.
I really loved the clever mystery and Mitzy's growth as a character in Dangers and Empty Mangers.
I can't wait for book 18!

I can’t believe this is the 17th book in this series. I have loved each and every one of them. Mitzy Moon does not disappoint with her meddling ways. The relationships Mitzy has created in her time in almost Canada continue to grow and strengthen. The author does a great job of introducing the characters enough that you don’t have to read the series to understand where they fit in, yet not with too much wording that it takes away from the flow of the story. This was a quick easy read that made me laugh at times and kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next. I cannot wait for book #18!!

I’m enjoying listening to this light, cozy mystery series. By book 17 you might expect story lines to become repetitive and characters to begin to stagnate, but such is not the case with the Mitzi Moon mysteries. And while each book builds upon the character development of the one before, there is enough background woven into the narration to enable the reader to follow the storyline without necessarily reading the entire series from the beginning. If you are looking for something humorous with an engaging cast of characters, I would recommend you give this a try.

I received an advance review copy of this audio book for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Mitzy is her usual adorable and klutzy self in this newest book of the series. While investigating a missing baby Jesus statue from the church's manger scene, she badly twists her ankle. So, she's on crutches when the body of Quince Knutson's uncle is found in his ice fishing shack.

At first, everyone thinks he froze to death after the fire went out and he was too drunk to realize what was happening to him. Everybody except Quince who convinces Mitzy to look into it. She does find evidence of foul play and gets Sheriff "Too-hot-to-handle" Erick to take another look.

It was murder but why are there so many clues and why are they leading to so many people? They would have gotten away with it if not for Mitzy and Quince.

There is a secret being kept from her and her clairvoyance gift keeps telling her there's a ring involved. Is Erick going to propose? Is she ready for that step in their relationship? And, why is Ghostma so worked up over a coat she misplaced years ago? Read this very entertaining addition to the Mitzy Moon mystery series to get the answers to all of those questions.

When baby Jesus is stolen from the local church Mitzy is on the case. Meanwhile a desperate Quinton comes seeking her help. The police say his uncle died accidentally in his ice house. Quinton knows better, his uncle was meticulous! Mitzy will of course help the kid who helps her out on cases! She quickly discovers it was murder.
I love this book. The best part other than ghost grandma was watching her and Erich grow closer and her trusting him more. He realizes now because of the hardships she’s had in her life she needs time to trust and open up to him. Great part is he’s open to giving her the time she needs. He is a sweetheart! I love Odell and ghost grandma getting to communicate again now that Isadora realizes she should have never let him go! He is adjusting perfectly to being a gramps. I love this series and this book! I highly recommend this book and series!

This series continues to get better and better. Mitzy is asked to look into the theft of the baby Jesus from a nativity. When Quince's uncle is murdered, he asks Mitzy to look into that case too. Mitzy sprains her ankle and takes some pain killers which interfere with her abilities. It makes solving both cases harder when she can't get a read on people and clues. She keeps hesitating on telling Erick about her abilities and it puts a strain on their relationship. Can she figure it all out in time? Will Erick believe her if she tells him her secret?
