Sam Wheeler is a charismatic, blue-collar guy. He's a strong lumberjack employed by a logging company on Vancouver Island. Sam's life changes when he falls into a large hole on the side of the mountain while trying to rig up a log. He is shocked to find out that he didn't die. Actually, Sam fell through a portal to another world entirely different than his own.
A town of gorgeous women believe Sam has fulfilled an ancient prophecy that gives him the power to shift from a human to another creature. It turns out that they are right, he is the long awaited Shifter King! Sam's job is to protect the town and the women that reside there, marry the lucky ones, and breed them. This novel contains profanity, violence, detailed intimacy, and unconventional relationships.
I am Beck, Austin Beck. Ok, that was lame. I am Austin, and I love litrpg, gamelit, harem, wuxia, and xianxia! My first novel, Mixed Martial Cultivator: Round One, combines all of these genres together. I write books that are action-packed in more ways than one. They do have graphic depictions of the naughty nature, so you have been warned. If you are kind enough to read my novels...PLEASE leave a review for me. They are so important for new authors like me! Thank you for checking my novels out. Happy Reading!
It gets a second star because the grammar wasn't too bad. Otherwise? This is everything I dislike about the genre in one book. I couldn't even finish. The main character is quite frankly a dude dudebro douchebag. Some slight spoilers here if you remotely care.
He has to pick a woman up at the bar who's rather well off right away to establish he has no problem with the ladies. One second of tension with another douche, but he's the bad guy because he can't even clear the hurdle of consent. Typical getting stuck in another world, another brief moment of tension but this isn't the only author that doesn't know how a big cat... cats? The cat totally would've killed him otherwise so... Oh so that to, congratations, our God killed all our men in a gruesome way for...reasons.
But they were TOTALLY fine with it! Yep, his job is to breed all the women folk, though we're going to cast an infertility spell because... he might be too good at that job otherwise? More "alpha male" shenanigans, oh and another no tension fight, picking up another wife (why get to know them first amirite?) Cause what's to know? They're all the equivalent of real dolls that move for him. Oh then because, dudebros, gotta have the random homophobia moment. Yes threats of man on man sexual assault, that'll add some tension... no not really.
If you just want to read some complete ridiculous wish fulfillment with random mediocre smut, this is the book for you. Hard pass for me.
This book reads like a bad teen fantasy. The MC is shallow rude and just a a$$. He treats the woman like meat. There seem to be no direction in the story. I get its slice of life but there is no point. He is given everything and just become arrogant and rude. Why have a vullage with all woman when other towns or villages have men. The gods seem to kill off the men with some nasty painful sickness.. For what reason. All excuse to make the MC and he quickly becomes unlikable and arrogant. Hard pass on more for this series..
Fantasy harem adult situations Sam the buffed logger has been chosen to sire a village's next generation. With the artwork, wondering if sequels are planned in case sales are good enough. He's sucked through a portal, and survives by using tree branches to break his fall. Interestingly, Brissa is the first to be told that he loves her. Possibilities here, but a bit more details need fleshing out.
If you want a harem book that is very descriptive, and well done in those descriptions, but not bogged down with story than this is for you. If you want plot or well rounded characters than keep looking elsewhere. This is not poorly written, but it is definitely targeted.
This was a fun story to read. The characters were done well and the storyline was interesting too. This book does contain adult scenes and probably covers multiple male fantasies
Sam is busily meeting and protecting the women of his village. The women vie for his attention, as circumstances thrust new brides on him. Will he be able to protect all of his women? I like the action, humor, and lust/love. I look forward to the next book.
When I first picked this book up, I believed that it would be a fun interesting read. What I found was something that dragged on in the telling. The action in the story is slow paced
An excellent beginning!!! Good world building, excellent adult fantasy activities and good characters!!!! I for one can't wait to see what comes next for this group!!!
Fun read. Very much fiction. Hard to get immersed when the characters are so false. But whatever not like Saturday morning cartoons aren’t false but amazing.
I had been following this one on Scribblehub, and I truly have to say I couldn’t stop reading. Each chapter just kept me going to the next.
The story is about this manly lumberjack that ends up transported to a new world, with all sort of unique races.
As the title alludes to, he discovers that he is the king prophesied Shifter King.
There are a bunch of steamy scenes that were well written, but beware, if sex isn’t your thing, and brutal action, maybe you should read something else, like Animorphs.
I definitely recommend this one, and look forward to the next installment.
Good read, lots of fun, plenty of action, good descriptions of the different creatures in this world, and the sex was not overdone as in some other books. The only thing overlooked was that there was no drawing of the hunter. Look forward to the next book in this series.
