I’m a husband and author, and I may be a little religious about both. I like writing hot sex and encapsulating it in the delicate white silk of devotion, commitment, and psychotic obsession.

I have no clue which shelves to put this on since I just dnf'd at page 45 in chapter 5, 16%.

I had high expectations due to the reviews I saw on this and other books by this author. I am Greatly disappointed.

It is Super slow. Going now where. Both mc's are odd. She is supposed to be 24. Her thoughts and actions are those of a 12 year old virginal nun. I mean Over The Top weird. She just got the crap beat out of her and can barely move from fractures etc. and is worried about not wearing a bra?! And that is one of the LEAST weird things about her.

Then there in Sahvrin. It seems he should be around the 30 mark in age. He seems to be a virgin too. He has been 'Celibate' for 15 years? So is he or isn't he a virgin and if not he had to be pretty damn young his first time.

Both mc's come of really odd.

Then there is the language of the story. Often it is stilted. Other times it's so full of the New Orleans jargon it's virtually impossible to know what is being said.

The entire thing is off putting and boring. To be this far into the book and still not know anything about either mc & absolutely Nothing going on,

I Give Up!

Not your average MC romance read..

Like other books by Lucian Bane, this book grabs you and pulls you in. This book is not as heavy as some of his other reads, but like the swamps in which it is set, it sucks you in and doesn't let you go. From their first interaction, Beth and Sahvrin had chemistry. I love that their story is more than just an excuse for some sexy times. The world is full of great locations, rich secondary characters, with obvious backstories of their own, and just when you think you have things figured out, there is another twist in the road. I love the way the couple talks about problems, even if one, or both, doesn't really want to. I love that Sahvrin won't let things fester with Beth, and knows that they have to communicate in order to be successful. I cannot wait to read the next book!

Bayou Hurricane

I have never read a take like this! This is an all out from page one, that will have you flipping pages as fast as possible: at the same time never wanting it to end! Mr. Bane has out done himself.

I must be honest. I have read, or tried to read, other books by this author. They scare the bejesus out of me.

The Bayou Bishops was SUCH A DIFFERENT THEME for him to write. A totally different genre yet set in a locality he knows like the back of his hand. This knowledge made for a smooth storyline and well developed characters. Mah-Mah was a hoot. The characters who pop up in the story are so believable.

Anxiously awaiting more books from this series. Mr Bane captured my interest with this one ! ! ! ! !

Wow!

Where to start?! Let’s start simple with that COVER it is pure FIRE! If that doesn’t call your attention straight away I don’t know what does.

If you are looking for an MC book with a twist then this is the book for you! Lucian Bane has such a wicked way with words and taking you for one hell of a ride!

Trying to put this into words without spoilers so bare with me. The two main characters in this book are completely different from one another, Beth a young independent women wanting to venture out on her own and not letting anything stop her. An innocent aura but what lays beneath this ice angel. Sahvrin a man of solitude, who has seen awful things, needs only the basics and demands respect with just his presents.

This book will have you swooning and shivering all at the same time. It’s gripping, HOT as HELL, emotional and just magnificent!

Swamp life is definitely for me now!

Say-To-Fini : that’s it, I’m done!! Go get clicking

Has anyone else read this book??.
First off this is not a MC book. It does take place in the swamp.
Second, mon dieu! That term was used at nauseam. It accounted for 50% of the the dialogue, followed closely by “ma petite “. I exaggerate, not much. Painful! I persevered hoping something sensical would happen, but sadly it did not happen, mon dieu.

This book by Lucian Bane will have you hooked from the very first page. It tells of life in the Bayou, Bishop and his Petite (Beth). The chemistry between Bishop and Beth is rocky at the start but ooo la la! il devient magnifique! (it becomes magnificent!). The action packed story line, is very unique, and will have you hooked from beginning to end. I for one could not put it down once I started reading! Bishops family dynamic, the devotion to the Twelve, and the protection of the Swamp is riveting! If you are looking for a different type of MC Romance, this is the one for you!! I can't wait for book two in this series!! Excellent travail, Lucian!!

Wow what a story. I love this book and am waiting with little patience for the next one. The characters flow together seamlessly and the entire setting of the swamps is so amazing. Thank you Lucian Bane for once again writing an amazing story.

Cajun MC with a twist

Lucian Bane has done it again. I couldn't put this book down. A Cajun MC club is a brilliant new concept. Throw in the swamps, gun runners, traffickers and don't forget to add in love.

Lucian Bane does it again. Bayou Bishop is his first book in the MC genre and IMHO he nailed it! You will love Beth and Sahvrin and how they navigate their relationship and the HEAT that radiates from them. You will also find yourself gripped by the action going on in the bayou. This is the introduction to Bayou Bishops. So, he also gives you incite into the groups dynamic. I can't wait to see, where this all ends.

I love this new twist on the MC world, Bayou Bishops has been a fresh and page turning read. The world building in this for next book is on point, it is very easy to forget that this is a "fake" world. Mystery, romance, and intrigue is at its best in this book. So ready for book 2

My review….plus ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Leaving a review is like leaving a voicemail…I always feel like I’m stumbling…but what I wrote below is what I feel!
I think you write a little bit of your love story in all of your books.

Mr. Bane, you done it again! You created a love story that I think has a lot of you in it. This story is being told in Louisiana and is close to your home. I love it!
I also think you are creating some of your characters personalities on those you love.
This story is very family oriented, Sahvrin Bishop will do everything to keep those he loves safe and protected. And Beth will do everything to learn the ways of “the Swamp” to stay with the man she fell in love with.

You will want to read Book 2 as soon as it’s out! This not an ordinary MC book!
Reviewed in Australia on 21 October 2021
This is no ordinary MC story, and once you start you will understand the front cover. Sahvrin Bishop is one very hot angelic devil! Ma Petite is his love and although she loves Sahvrin’s sweet side, she is she is just putty in the hands of the dominant Mr Bishop, his dark side.
The Bishops rule the swamp and are a very tight knit community. Watch out anyone who gets in their way. On the other hand they are a strong, fun loving family, who will not tolerate human trafficking, illegal arms running and watch out those who succumb to their justice.
I can’t wait to read Book 2 and was captivated from the very start.
Another great one Lucian Bane!

I am so in love with this book , can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Lucian Bane writes his books so that you feel you are living the story. This story is about Beth and Sahvun leader of the Twelve, he finds her beaten in the waters of the bayou and takes her home to heal. To learn the rest of their relationship you’ll have to read their story. I know you will love 💕 it. Can’t wait for the next book.

Disappointed. I enjoyed the love that grew between the characters, I plodded through all the words, got thrown out of the story more often than not with all the "bayou slang" and felt going into the story without backstory on The 12 really messed up some of the plot.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Lucian brings his sexy, spiritual writing in to the steamy, sultry backdrop of the Bayou. Action, suspense and HEAT-HEAT- HEAT. Come meet Sahvrin, the Eveque of the Bayou Bishops and fall under his spell.

Lucian Bane brings his quick wit, steamy scenes and unique storytelling to the swamps of Louisiana. A different brand of MC that has its own set of codes, chain of command and rules to keep the bayou safe.

Sahvrin Bishop meets his match when Beth Sweetling escapes being attacked and potentially human trafficked. As he nurses her back to health and keeps her safe. Sahvrin and Beth develop an off the charts chemistry that find them at the mercy of their hearts and bodies.

Yet not just the alligators are a danger in these parts. An evil is lurking on land and making its way to the bayou, with dirty dealings the Bishops are preparing for what’s to come.

Lots of twists and turns, secrets from the past and revelations of what is to come will keep you turning the pages!

More to come as this story unfolds in this coming series!

"Before he had one touch, one taste of her, she'd owned his soul without question.."

Off the charts action, from turning the first page its high octane, full throttle all the way! On land or on water the Bishops rule. Don't underestimate the power of family against doing right.

When Beth arrived like an angel in the night begraggled and battered she stole Mr Bishops heart. He claimed her before even he realised how hard he'd fallen. But can they stop the horrors lurking in the swamp, monsters of the human kind.

Great read, a refreshing take on the MC style, lots of action both between the sheets and in the war raging between factions. 5 stars for sure 😍

Bishops

Okay I am from Louisiana not for from the Atchfalaya river. So this book is in my neck of the woods. Interesting story line and setting but sometimes I found it hard to follow and skipped over parts. Maybe the next book with smooth out the story. And yes I an picky about Louisiana books.

Very slow read. Beth seemed too immature. I did finish the book but was upset at the ending. I hate books that end in a cliff hanger. I did like the imagery and the other characters were a hoot. The author might want to incorporate more translations during the book and not just have the definition page at the end.
