Mia I’ve been in love with Ryder since I was fourteen years old, admiring the older man from afar, knowing I can never have him. My grandfather didn’t want this life for me, so he put a do not touch order on me with his club, keeping me at arm’s length for more than half my life. I’ve made it known, painfully, that I wanted him. But Ryder had never shown a hint of interest in me. That is, until I finally noticed a man who’s been under my nose for months. A man on the verge of making it big. Now Ryder was all in, and my heart is torn between the two men. One of them makes me feel wanted, and the other has held my heart since the moment he walked into our club twenty years ago.
Ryder My life officially began when Breaker took a chance on me and offered me a place within his world. Patching in as a Road Demon gave me the family I lost as a kid. His only rule was that Mia, his granddaughter, was off limits. It seemed easy enough, since she was only a kid back then, but something changed when the skinny fourteen-year-old girl I first met suddenly turned into a woman I can’t stop craving. What makes it worse is that I knew she wanted me, and I’ll never be able to have her. After two decades of ignoring her advances, I finally get the green light, only to find her in the arms of another man because she’s done waiting. Fighting for her is the only option, and I don’t care if I have to walk through hell to get her. I’m determined to claim what was always mine—my Mia.

2.5 ⭐’s This was easily my least favorite of the series, so I feel like it needs to be rounded down. Ryder is a forbidden-ish/I’ve loved you forever/love triangle-ish romance (ish) between Mia and Ryder. It was ok… I guess… but written in a way that Mia came of quite pathetic and Ryder very beta which sort of killed some of my excitement.
Mia fell in love with Ryder when she was 14, and I think he was 18 (too lazy to fact check) Within the next couple years, Ryder too fell in love with Mia, but her grandpa the prez forbade any members from touching her. The book opens 20 YEARS later with Mia FINALLY deciding to move on, and Ryder FINALLY getting the ok to go after his girl.
Argh… I hated this setup. 20 FREAKING YEARS she sat around pining for him!! Watched him through a relationship and numerous hookups, I don’t care that she wasn’t celibate and also dated… it’s 20 FREAKING YEARS!! She’s 34 and has wasted all her hot girl summer years moping around on this dude. She’s LITERALLY watching life pass her by. And Ryder, he loves her so so much, but the badass biker is such a pussy that he can’t muster up enough moxie to confront the grandpa (that’s no longer in charge) … or threaten to leave the damn club. His brothers LITERALLY have to approach him and tell him it's ok.
Bottom Line- I found this the least entertaining, and I was bored much of the time. The couple stuff is all squared away by just over the halfway mark. It felt a bit manipulated because stuff happened (2 things) that pushed them together. The rest is club stuff/action subplot.
I’m sorry but where’s the grovel? I’ve read the book because there is suposed to be an epic grovel after 20 freaking years of hurting the heroine but “I’m sorry, I’m fucking sorry, I fucked up, my mum didn’t love me” it’s not grovel at all!!! Even when she confronted the bunny he’s been with ( aparently in this club you date bunnies) he is silent like a little chicken… As usual, the solution is someone ended up in the hospital… and everyone see the light… The next book will be the same and worst… “I was a kid, I fucked up”, well, at least, the heroines didn’t remain celibate all those years… I’m sure it’s me and I’m really sorry but camon! 20 years being cruel and mean with a woman when you KNOW she loves you… And with Alora… she ended with a depression and nobody fight for her truth??? What a club… I’m sorry… the plot was great…

Let me say it takes Ryder quite awhile to get his head out of his butt. Mia has loved him forever but finally has had enough of being let down by him and him not showing her any interest. Well he has interest just doesn't act on it.
Mia meets Jason and starts to fall in love with him. Well that causes Ryder's jealousy to surface.
Is was a pretty good book. Strong on OW drama which I like but the H was kinda weak IMO. Really looking forward to the next book with Wren and AL. I have a bad feeling that when we finally find out who the OW he cheated with is, its going to be brutal.
I've been waiting for this and I was not disappointed. Ryder and Mia.....20 years in the making, when reading the first two books, especially Riggs even you read he turned her down when she was offering it to him on a plate I wanted to shake the man till sense arrived then when he was there with his ex in his arms and his bed I wanted to slap him silly but all becomes clear and I had so much respect for him....I still wanted to slap him for hurting her so bad but he more than makes up for it.
This is the third book of T. L. Drake's Road Demons MC series and it delivers just like the first two! This is the story of Ryder, a club member and Mia, granddaughter of a club founder, Breaker. Yes, you know it -- Mia is declared "off limits" and you think after 20 years, Ryder shouldn't need a kick. 20. Years. Ryder! It is no secret this is a HEA and they will end up together at the end. But, holey-moley, getting them there rips you raw. Takes you high and drops you on your hiney. It is an emotional roller coaster. The story isn't all about Ryder and Mia, there is maliciousness afoot and the club having to deal with the mess does not distract from our main couple, Ryder and Mia’s story. I wanted to step into this story and box a few ears, kick a few asses and stab a few people myself (not necessarily all bad guys either). That is how invested I became emotionally. I loved this book and I am loving this author and series. Keep them coming!!
This was a complete disappointment. In the last book we got a really angsty look into book 3, but unfortunately it completely fizzled out. We get no real background on Mia or Ryder. Other than they've been eyeing each other for 20 freaking years. Mia is of course in love with Ryder, but he pushes her away because of his past with addiction. Plus, the threats from her grandfather. Mia I guess is like the club princess in this series. Which became a snooze fest. Very tame. Hardly any ow drama. And the author did something I hate. Pulling in another H only to dispose of him later. Jaxon was a good guy and he just walked away from Mia like it was nothing was completely unbelievable to be honest. Like oh darn. That's how it came off. Also, I got zero chemistry between the two main characters. It wasn't good at all, and poor Capone was killed off. We got an introduction to a new character named Ember. Overall didn't enjoy it at all.
For the SAFETY gang: nothing really on page. Though it is hinted he's having sex with the ow because she's sleeping in Ryder's house in his bed. Lily who's a sweet butt he had a relationship with years ago, comes back, and they resume their relationship after Mia disappears for two weeks.
Really good in places, but who waits 15 years for the person they love?
Mia has been in love with Ryder for 20 years, from when she was 14. When she’s 19, Ryder notices her but Breaker (Mia’s grandad, and president of the Mc.) forbids him to do anything with Mia. Terrified of losing the only real family he has got, he moves another woman into his house to scare Mia off. Years later when he rejects her yet again, Mia finally moves on. As soon as she moved on, King, the now president of the Mc, gives Ryder permission to go for it with Mia.
Mia being the weak doormat that she is, gives into him after a bit of persuasion. I think that my main issue with this book is Mia! How many times over 15 years did she throw herself at Ryder, and he rejected her. She tries to seduce him at one point in a bra and knickers, and he still turns her down. Have some pride woman!
The tiny bit of plot is really good, with a dangerous Mc at war with them. The rest of the book is sadly a massive letdown.
I did enjoy it, I just wish that there was more danger, and less about them two!
I don't believe he loved the h because if he did he wouldn't have flaunted the ow in her face after she told him that she loved him and I didn't like that he stopped her from moving on and that he got angry when she made out with the man who she began to have feelings for. I wonder if the author forgot about the ow because when he confronted the h about the kiss, I thought she would have mentioned about him kissing the ow infront of her but she didn't. To be honest I found her a doormat and I wished she would have stayed with the om.

This is another one in this series that I really loved! Mia has been in love with Ryder since she was just 14 years old and first saw him walk through the doors of the Den with two of the Road Demons founding members, her grandfather Breaker, and Mammoth. Ryder was just an 18 year old kid when he came across the older men who offered him a place with their family/club. The only restriction was that Mia was off limits to him and every other man in the club. Because Breaker wanted more for his little girl. At the time, Ryder agrees because they're both kids, and he's not interested in the younger girl. But eventually, things change when he starts to notice how she's growing into a beautiful young woman. But he makes himself hold back out of respect for her grandfather Breaker, and her cousins Declan, and Riggs, who are his close friends and club brothers. They spend years dancing around each other, and watching the other with different people. Then Riggs tells him to pursue Mia as he knows how he feels about his cousin. The problem is that it may be a little too late because Mia has decided she can no longer keep waiting for Ryder's love or attention. Now Ryder must fight for the woman he's been in love with for most of his adult life and hope he finally gets his girl. Loved this book and the entire series so far. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Absolutely loved this book. T.L. Drake just keeps getting better and better!
The thing I love most about this series is that the author doesn’t forget the opening characters. They’re all here in this one. Yes, this is Mia’s & Ryder’s story but Kellan, Jenna, Riggs, Salem, Cypher, Al and Wren, heck everyone, is still part of the story. Normally once their story is done you never hear about them again, but not here. Not with this series. It’s so nice that they’re not a “one and done” kind of thing. It’s absolutely wonderful that these characters keep popping up throughout each other’s stories.
I adored Mia. Loved the girl from the start of the series. She’s strong, conflicted and hurting.
Years of living and loving the one man who thinks he can’t have her has taken its toll on both of these characters.
When Ryder’s “long lost love” comes back into the picture it causes a chain reaction that spirals both of them into places you’d least expect them.
Jaxon is new character that I hope to read more about. I absolutely loved him. 💜
I cannot wait for the next book. This author became a one-click, must-have, favorite of mine from the first Road Demon’s book, Kellan and she’s gotten herself a die-hard, totally loyal fan for life!!
So I read Wren ( the next book in the series) and the scenarios in this book between the FMC , Mia and MMC Ryder play out in the background. Its drama and angst filled so I thought I'd better go back and see what happens in this book.
Mia is the granddaughter of a MC president and strictly off limits to any member. Ryder joins the club when he's 18 and she's 14. She falls for him but he never seems to pay her any mind. She even threw herself at him and all he threw was a blanket to cover herself. She's heartbroken and that was the last straw she decides to move on for good and starts dating a band member Jaxson who she meets at the biker bar she works at.
Luckily we get Ryders pov and we find out he's always wanted Mia but she's always been untouchable and when he finally gets the clubs permission to pursue her, she's with someone else. Ryder is determined to prove that she belongs with him as jealousy rages.
Mia is left torn between the two men. Is it too late for Ryder and Mias love story? Read 📚 to find out.
I loved the drama and angst and this one. Unlike Wren, Ryder was not 100% asshole even if he hurt Mia by flaunting another woman around her in the begining. Once he's got a in he fights for her.
I seriously can’t believe how much I have fallen in love with this series. I laughed, cried and hated all at the same time. Ryder needed that big wake up call and for him to take back that other woman who high tailed it out of his life, they should have kicked her to the curb before she started warming anyone’s bed again. Mia’s grandfather also should have realized Ryder was a changed man too after all these years. A lot of pieces were behind all the actions however, I think it made each of them stronger in the outcome. Now if Wren & Al get their act together and if she can overcome her heartache. I do love how this author still ties in all the characters from the other books and their lives how they intertwine with the current one and moving forward. A must read for sure.
The brotherhood within this MC is so fun to read. The ongoing conflict with the Henchmen is as anger inducing as it is thrilling. I want to be the one to torture and make them see the devil. Can you sense a but coming? Here it comes....
I wanted Mia to make Ryder suffer a bit more. I mean, over 15 years of unrequited love and watching him with others needed more suffering. Yeah, yeah I get it, she met a new guy after Ryder made the worst bad decision (no spoilers from me) but when you get that level of not interested crammed in your face, you should have made him work harder.
I still loved the story. I was very happy when they got their HEA and if the saying is true "all's well that ends well" then it's all well.
I actually really disliked this book. I hated the way they forced the Mia and Ryder story. I also hate that they made her into a cheater. I liked Mia in the other books and liked when she was standing up for herself, but then they made her weak like the Jenna and Salem. They were all supposed to be looking out for her but kept forcing someone on her that they knew treated her poorly. It’s the same plot in every book. The men mess up and they women are told to just move on from it and forgive. It was a hard read. I actually skipped most because it was annoying. Also hate how Mia is telling Al to get over what she went through or how they excuse Wren saying he was young.. he was 19, that’s an adult fully aware of his actions.
What a FANFLIPPINGTASTIC read! Ryder is book 3 in the Road Demons MC Series. I've been waiting for Ryder to pull his head out of his rear-end and stake his claim on Mia. But in true Mia fashion she doesn't make it that easy. Ryder has everything you expect in a Road Demons book and more. The author has delivered a well written book with the perfect balance of humor, angst, anger, steam and more. The story flows effortlessly from one scene to the next and the supporting characters never take the spotlight from the leads. T. L. definitely knows how to keep a reader from start to finish. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
My favorite of the series. Mia actually has a backbone, which is refreshing! Nice to see a heroine actually have a real relationship with other guys when H is being a weak-ass for 16 years. Sure she pined for him, but he chose to stay away from her because she was “off-limits” and “he wasn’t good enough” for her, etc. In the end, when she had too much rejection, she actually found a great guy that she probably would have ended up with (and been happy with) had Ryder not finally manned up.
It was a HEA because it made sense in the end that she chose Ryder because her life and family were with the club as well and choosing Jaxon would have taken her away from all that.
I kept reading for the story because the story is good. I didn’t like Ryder at all, because not much is really known about him other than the fact that he was a brute. Yeah, he loved Mia so I had to cheer for him for that. But I’m team Jaxson. Jaxson, had a better personality and seemed to generally care about Mia too. I thought Mia was whipped because she let Ryder get away with just about anything when she could’ve made him work harder and she should’ve made him work harder. These two just weren’t my favorite. If there had been more to their development maybe I could have liked them. I still love the series and will read the next one when I get a chance
I’m not even sure where to start with Mia and Ryder’s story. I will start with the angst between these two people. Ryder didn’t realize how much he truly loved her until she walked away from. However, he still didn’t do anything about it until….well you have to read it to find out the rest.
This book had everything in it that I love. Angst between the main characters. Plot twists I didn’t see coming. Rival club violence. And of course the other woman drama. This story pulled on my heart strings which is also something I enjoy.
I feel like I've been waiting forever for this book and it didn't dissapoint. We all knew it was going to be a good with the little snippet we got the last chapter in Riggs book. I cannot get enough of thr little glimpses we get into Al and Wren through out this book as well as the previous ones. I don't think I've look forward to reading a book as much as I am looking forward to thiers, and with the 1st chapter I've just read? It's going to be a dodgy. I adore this series and just want more all the time.
For Ryder club life was everything to him, which is why he kept his hidden feelings for Mia for himself. There was one rule you did not break, touch Mia she was off limits. Seeing her though falling for someone else after two decades of pretending not to notice is at a breaking point. Now he has a decision to make does he claim the girl he is in love with or let her go?
I was mixed on this one. I had a hard time understanding why Mia waited so long for Ryder especially because he certainly was not celibate. Great series, not my favorite though.
Loved this story so much so that I couldn’t put it down, I was on edge till the end.
From the beginning and I mean the very beginning, I had been waiting for Ryder to get his act together, now he might not get the chance, Mia has had enough waiting, she may be seen as off limits but we all know what she thinks of that. I love the sense of family in this MC everyone gets a say not just the H and h, they all interact.
Another big hit by T. L. Drake. The Road Demons are a tough MC, but they are family. This is a great series and Ryder did not disappoint. I wanted to laugh, cry, and kick some butt throughout this book. It was by far one of the best I've read. This entire series is great if you like MC's. I wasn't sure Ryder and Mia would get through everything. I love these stories and how they unfold before my eyes. I can't wait for book 4!
When Mia started falling for Jaxson, I wasn't sure I'd like the ending of the story. I think Jaxson showed Mia that while she could love someone else, the love wouldn't be as strong as what she had for Ryder. I'm glad Ryder got out of his head and the MC stood behind him to get Mia back. I think their love story may be my favorite so far.
I am loving this series and this one has in particular had me on the edge of my seat and on my last nerve!! These guys certainly don’t do things easily and then throw in those Henchmen!! Sweet Jesus!! My heart literally was pounding out of my chest and I don’t think things will get any easier with the rest of this series! Cannot wait to read the rest!
4 stars. That first chapter ripped me apart gosh I felt Mias heartbreak. You know when you read a book where the H is just a Zero at the start and we want our h to move on and shove it in the H’s face… we don’t want to like the OM so much that we fall in love with them and our heart shatters a little with them… but alas Ryder came through in the end.

Ryder! Where to begin and if I were Mia, would I bother!?! It takes Ryder a while to take his head out his butt and see what he could have had a long time ago. Like, 20 years ago!!!. Can't lay all the blame on him because Breaker didn't help. Then Ryder gets his head on right and sparks fly.
20 years Mia loved Ryder. And for 20 years he denied her because he listened to her Uncle Finally they have a chance but Mia is in love with another . she loves them both. Moving forward Ryder is hurt and Mia makes her decision. The author made this book so hot each page burns . excellent. Now for Wren book.
