So you want to know the secrets of sin? Mari. Marcella. Kitten. The dirty Angel of Sin… I grab the shaft of my cock as she struts into the room, white dress clinging to her curves. Her hand drifts along my shoulders, down my back, red nails tearing at my hot skin. “You’re so big,” she moans, “Please, give it to me, Beasty.” Enter if you dare…
Edit: dropping it down to a 2 mostly because of how all over the place it gets with the finale, geez, and how book 1 just doesn’t even gloss over the important plot stuff.
If you’re looking for spice, lots of spice, this book has it. An almost obnoxious amount of it. Like, overkill; I can’t believe I’m saying this but, is that even possible? It was hot in the beginning, good stuff, but as the book carried on and it felt like almost every chapter had smut, that’s when it got to be overkill.
A drinking game could’ve been made out of this book, too, with the amount of times the MFC and MMC call each other “kitten” and “daddy”. That was also very, very overkill. My eyes would glaze over and I would just skim a lot of the smut and any interactions of back and forth “kitten” and “daddy”, hoping for some kind of plot to kick back into place.
Speaking of plot lol — what an odd way to bring in an important next step in a relationship/marriage and then suddenly ……….. it’s on the back burner so the past events flashback can take over? What?
I’ll read through the next book, the finale, to see the series through, but lordty lord! I hope it’s not as heavy and overdone with kitten, daddy, and him toaster strudeling her.
Mari and Ben’s story starts off interesting? So Maricela is being raised by her brother Eric and close friends Ben, Ross and Stevie. Eric has to drop out of college and start working. Mari is close to graduating from high school and encounters a teacher who is taking advantage of vulnerable students. Mari escapes and is helped by Brittany a stripper at the Silky Bunny.
Mari learns to be a pole dancer/stripper to make money and help out brother Eric. So, for 3 years all is good until it all comes crashing down.
Ben has always liked Mari and things get more complicated when he discovers her secret at the club? Mari also discovers that Ben is an underground fighter.
The chapters are a bit mixed up? If not for the confusion, I may have rated 3.5 or 4 star? The story ends in a cliffhanger?
I liked the story! There were some non-pivotal continuity issues that popped up that kind of drove me crazy, but it was good. Left off on a cliff-hanger!
WHY DO FACEBOOK BOOK ADS KEEP GETTING ME. I SHOULD KNOW BY NOW. I SHOULD BE BETTER THAN THIS. WHAT A DARN WASTE OF TIME.
Not being an American, I don’t know how much things cost over there, but are you trying to tell me that she, with what I can only math at being about $1M across 3 years, paid off her mums debts, the mortgage on her mums house, her brothers semi-alcoholism, her college, bought all new furniture after her brother trashed the place, a 45% share in a VERY SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS and also a new, 5 bedroom house on 10 acres?!
Fuck off. I was going to just write it off, but after that ending, I am so angry.
IT WAS SO CLOSE TO AN ACTUAL ENDING. No. No no no. It’s my own fault, I should have known better.

I was invested from the very beginning. I needed to know everything that was happening between Mari(Sin) and Ben but man toward the end I was lost confused and upset at the fact that the writer did this. like come on there had to be other ways to end this right? giving it a 4 because i was truly all in for the beginning
I loved this book!!! So far, it's #1on my list!!! I hate that I have to pay Galatea for the year to read Secrets of Sin: The finale. I wouldn't mind if I could pay monthly, but u have to pay $70 for the year. Hopefully, I can find it somewhere else other than Galatea.
I really hoped I would enjoy this fun silly sexy book but unfortunately I found the “daddy” & “kitten” dialogue made me cringe & it turns out I’m not into infantilization of women, it’s creepy. Clearly I’m not the target audience of this book.
Things I liked: Pretty good story and writing, and the sex scenes were interesting. Although the
Things I didn't: 1. There was zero editing done on this story, not even by Microsoft Word, to catch missed punctuation, missing words in sentences, misspelled names, or mismatched timeframes. e.g. She was 15 ..., it's been 4 years, she started when she was 18, etc. When I say "missed punctuation" I mean there are no periods at the end of half the sentences. Quotation marks are opened for speaking and never closed. This is very distracting for me as a reader.
2. The way the author decided to skip forward and back in time didn't make sense to me. Why take me into the future 4 years for a couple of scenes, then jump back 3 years and restart the story? Especially when you don't get back to that future date by the end of the book.
3. Several themes were used over and over. Erik not accepting that his sister and friend get together, even after they're married. Ben's issues. Honestly, sometimes it felt like these issues were brought up over and over just to fill space/chapters, or introduce another sex scene. They didn't advance the story most of the time.
4. All the chapters were named except the last 3: Ninety-eight, Ninety-nine, and One Hundred. Was the author just trying to make it to 100 chapters and ran out of ideas?
Honestly, I got bored about 2/3 of the way through and started skimming chapters. The way this book was thrown together killed any interest I might have had in reading the next book in the series. I started to wonder if E.J. Lace was even a real person.
Read on the Inkitt app; can also be found on the Galatea app where you can listen to the story. A 'completed' book that is a pretty quick read.
