Franky and his nuts
Silly Squirrel is the second book in the Mountain Man Wild Animal Rescue series and this one had me laughing out loud while also melting my heart. The story is about Jodi Duggy and Cain Stroll. Jodi was widowed almost four years ago when her husband was killed in an accident while working as a mountain ranger. Since then she has been a single mother to ten year old Kolter and is the town's only pharmacist. Kolter is like his father as he has an affinity for the animals and seems to be able to talk with them. So he has gotten himself into a bit of trouble lately by feeding them when he should not be, from squirrels to larger animals. Cain is a mountain ranger who worked with Jodi's husband before the accident. Since then he has watched Jodi and Kolter waiting for the right time to pursue Jodi. But four years is enough time and when the opportunity presents he takes it and runs. The only problem may be a Franky, a silly squirrel, and Jodi, who runs to and then away from him. Cain is not about to let Jodi get away from him now though as all he wants to do is love her and Kolter, bringing her happiness and life again.
This is a sweet, spicy and humorous story, along with touching on some deep emotions. The characters are all nicely written and I really love that fat silly squirrel, Franky and all the legs he climbs. This is another wonderful story and a great addition to this series.

I enjoyed this sweet romance. I liked the fast-paced and action-packed character driven plot. Ms. Hale’s lead characters are solid. I like observing their evolution. Her use of descriptive language and dialog helps move her plot along and act as hooks capturing the reader’s attention. Job, well done, Ms. Hale.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Mountain Man Wild Animal Rescue series. In this book, Jodi is a widow and single mother. Her late husband was a ranger who was killed in the line of duty. Jodi is the town pharmacist and works closely with the town's doctor and the vet. When Jodi gets a phone call that her son has been caught feeding the wildlife, she goes to the ranger's station and talks to Cain. Cain is a ranger and very attracted to Jodi. Cain wants to be with her and wonders if he can ask her to dinner, or if it would be against the code because he worked with her late husband. Cain is determined to show Jodi she is worthy of being loved again and she can be happy again. I really liked this book. I like Cain. He was patient with Jodi and understood she was torn. I think she had to learn to move on and allow herself to be happy again. Good one.

This is a fast-paced, steamy and sweet short romance, with some very engaging characters - including Franky the squirrel ;)

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Silly squirrel is the second book in the ‘’mountain man wild animal rescue’’ series.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Jodi is a single mother and a widower. Cain wants Jodi but will he get his woman?
The chemistry between Jodi and Cain is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.

She's been a widow for 4 yrs and thinks only of her son. He's been attracted to her for a while now. Her son lives to draw and animals. He tried to feed a mountain lion so he can draw it. He's in trouble with the ranger and his mom. The ranger invites them to eat since their supper is gone. She quits fighting her attraction to the ranger but it scares her. It's a good thing he understands and he waits till she's ready to marry him. Lol the day that their daughter is born.

Jodi is in “mom” and “widow” modes, not leaving any room for moving on with anyone else even after four years. Cain, one of her husband’s coworkers, decides it is time to make his move after an issue involving her son Kolter. Kolter is putting himself in dangerous situations with local wildlife. Ranger Cain ends up being part of the discussion. Things move kind of quickly after that, especially since it’s a short story.

Jodi is a widow but it is time to move on and Cain is perfect for her and her son, Kolter. I really enjoyed the scene that gave the book it's title.

A fun and entertaining second book in this series Mountain Man Wild Animal Rescue. This is the story of a single mom Jodi and Cain a park ranger that worked with her late husband and one silly squirrel. This is a quick, fun read that will keep you reading all the way through. I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to read more from this series.

After the loss of her husband Jodi dedicates herself to her son but when she's around Cain she feels something she hasn't felt in years. I loved the way the author brought these two together. This is a sweet, second chance love story with likable characters, humor, and a well fed squirrel. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Cute story, but needs editing
I read this short story in one sitting . The plot involved cute animals, a yummy hero, and a loving heroine. The problem I ran into was the terrible editing. Misspelled words, wrong words used in a sentence, obviously spellchecker was used, but context was not checked. I usually enjoy this author a great deal, but not this time.

The title alone was well worth the read. I loved this story of waiting for the right time and knowing that yes, you can have love again. I do need Kolter to grow up and follow in his dads footsteps.

Book #2 in this series. An entertaining read about a strong independent mom and a protective Ranger. Jodi and Cain have a great connection and chemistry. Add is a cute kid and some squirrelly antics and you have a cute fast paced read. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Cain, Jodi and her son, Kolter, and does not let go. Jodi has been a single parent since her husband died four years ago. She is trying to be the best she can but does not date. When Cain calls to let her know that there is some minor trouble with her son, he wants to be there to help her. Will she let down her walls and allow Cain to be important to her and Kolter?
